There's also the tumblr post here but I recommend the link in the title because its the ao3 version, and that one is edited and has some stuff in it that's not in the tumblr post, and will be the version I'm using.

So for summary: this Danyal is also from a Demon Siblings Au where Danny is five years older than Damian. However, things turned out a bit differently, and Danny and Damian had a fantastic relationship with one another. Danny loved music and regularly came up with songs to sing to Damian with. Specifically the folk band Yaelokre's EP "Hayfields" (seriously go fucking listen to it its sooo good. Harpy Hare is the second song but its my favorite. Special shoutout to @gascansposts for introducing the band to me)

He falls off a train when he's twelve and Damian is seven while the two of them and Talia are on mission. He ends up with magically induced amnesia and wakes up in Arkansas while the Fentons are on their yearly Divorce-iversary visit to Aunt Alica, and since he can only remember his name, he ends up being taken into their care.

Yaelokre Danny has the same facial scar as Things in Threes Danyal, since he was initially another version of him where things turned out better. I'm debating on whether or not I should take it away however, and give him a different scar (maybe from when he fell off the train?), just because the scar is a pretty key identifier for Ti3 Danyal.

Danny frequently visits Aunt Alicia in Arkansas! Well, only after he gets settled in and stuff. He doesn't really like the city that much and prefers the countryside where Alicia lives. I know she lives in a cabin but I'm changing it to a farm, so she puts Danny to work and gets him to help her.

I don't want to confine his hobbies to only being star stuff, because people tend to have more than one hobby and I feel like it reduces him to one-dimensionality, so he likes to garden, and learns guitar. His room becomes filled with plants, and he turns their roof into a rooftop greenhouse right below to OPS Center.

He has a complex relationship with the weapons from his past, but he's not... like... appalled by it? When he finds his weapons in the Fenton attic all he thinks is that they're his weapons, and he starts carrying a knife on him afterwards. Essentially he becomes fascinated with weaponry because its one of the few physical ties he has to his past, and while he's not training like he is in the League, he allows his strong muscle memory to guide him through his katas.

Danny likes climbing things. This causes Problems For Everyone Else.

Danny was not the "kinder Al Ghul" in the League. His kindness extended to his brother and family, and that's it. To everyone else he had high expectations out of them, and the pride you'd expect from the grandson of Ra's Al Ghul and trained by its top members. While he wasn't like, unnecessarily cruel or anything, he wasn't merciful either.

This transfers post-train fall as him coming off as no-nonsense and unforgiving. He's not fond of the idea of giving people second chances, and is skeptical of the idea. He's disgusted by incompetency and views it as an unforgivable offense, especially if he thinks that the person should know better, although he's not sure why. Some egocentrism for the soul.

He doesn't like being touched by anyone who isn't family, and gets irritated when anyone grabs him or holds onto him for extended amounts of time. Dash has gotten hit so many times. With Jack Fenton's tendency for abrupt physical affection, it doesn't make it any better. I'd argue it'd make it worse because Danny doesn't want to be touched more often than not.

Danyal had a red scarf in the League that he wore on his last mission, it came off before he fell off and caught itself on the roof. Damian still has it and took it with him to Wayne Manor. He's got it locked in his room and takes it out when he's alone and missing Danny the most. One time he forgot to put it away before leaving his room, and Dick was visiting the manor for something and found it. Damian found him holding it and freaked out.

Dick could only say "I've never seen you wear this, Damian, this is really pretty--" before Damian shoved him to the floor and stole it out of his hands, before screaming at him; "Don't touch this! You don't ever touch this! This is mine! You hear me!?"

It caused such a commotion that the rest of the family present came to see what the fuss was about, and Damian kicked them all out of his room. Dick is the one brother Damian's the closest with, so the fact he reacted so strongly shocked them all.

This is likely what leads to the "Danyal" conversation.

It will be too complicated to add ex-alliances and spy-related stuff... but if I did! Jaiden will be between the "knows the federation" and "sides with the players" and Etoiles will be between "understands the codes" and "sides with the players" just because there are no real secrets about it if you watch their POVs.

i think a lot of people don’t always realize the difference between “this is how i interpret canon” and “this is how i want to write it because that’s what’s fun to me”. a lot of times the latter is all headcanons or AUs are, not an indication of what the writer thinks “is” or “should be” canon

more power to those who are super tuned into actual canon and know these details like the back of their hand, but sometimes people just wanna use a series as a sandbox, not a ruleset. genuinely nothing but respect for people who ARE that knowledgeable, but i and a lot of other people are just here to have fun with characters we enjoy—and want to put them in more accessible settings

Ough. First of all thank u,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I love them too it makes me v happy that u like them as well,,,,,,I’m a bit shocked about that actually,,,, and second of all,,,, oh god how do i explain this.

In the Canon Version of Mona’s Paragon Run (in my head). Ren does not return Mona’s feelings. At least from a romantic perspective. And not yet. Which is rlly funny considering what I’ve drawn so far. But as to why- meta reason- I can’t think of a timeskip design for Ren for Shit. I’m so sorry. I can’t think of Anything. I tried so many times because I Do have a timeskip Mona design after the main events but. nope. My brain draws several blanks.

for a more lore explanation as to Why I do have one. In canon, Ren and Mona just barely got the engines started on their friendship again, especially after he joined Team Xen. Mona was incredibly and surprisingly understanding to his circumstances as to Why he stayed with them, which Ren felt (and still feels) partially guilty for. I think from the beginning they had some hunch of what was going on because it really didn’t make sense to them for him to join after they both saw what happened to Melia (or they assumed) in the first place. Didn’t stop the sting of betrayal but it softened the impact.

As to canon feelings! I rlly like in the beginning there was this weird trail of envy of Ren to Mona’s strength, but it’s ironic since he’s the one who set Mona on the path to pursue it in the first place. There’s this admiring point from him that he can’t help feel as he’s heard of Mona’s adventures, and seen how they keep fighting. Of course, he doesn’t totally get over that envy, but processes it healthily when they reconcile as their relationship becomes more like rivals. They’re friends more than anything really. He’s mainly glad and grateful to have Mona still be his friend after all of the Xen stuff, and is rather determined to include them in his protection as he builds up his strength. And they both have a competitive streak so it’s fun to battle someone who wants an upper hand on you. If I had to say how he sees Mona from his presumed perspective,,,, A quiet person who’s way too kind for their strength.

As for post canon, well. This is where things slightly muddy for me because I have a lot of trouble picturing post canon Ren. This is mainly due to the fact I can Sense another character change incoming (with his mom kidnapped after all + Mosely, who the protag character presumably cares about as well) (Mona cares for Mosely immensely. Little sister). So I’m not sure how that might rock the boat. I await eagerly though. If Ren dies at some point in paragon I will laugh just a bit. Not because I hate him more of just the story beat itself. Sorry Mona.

Additionally, He Doesn’t Develop Romantic Feelings until they’re both in their 20s. Before this, I made it clear that Mona would confess at some point post-canon, get rejected, and they would both still have a really strong friendship. This was mainly for Mona’s growth, because I have a ton of feelings on them as a character. Now, I’m a person on the arospec, so romantic feelings are super. Super super super hard for me to describe in general, It feels disingenuous to say it happened like it would in romance medias or smth like that. I think it just kind of occurred to him at one point that he really liked seeing them be happy. That’s what I consider the peak of romanticism at least, to me. And saw them from a more romantically angled perspective. Which is quite awkward considering what happened in the past. But he still thinks they’re amazing for brunting through everything that’s happened in canon and continues to happen post-canon. Mona often leaves the region because they’re summoned by Anabel and Looker, so the days they began to spend hanging out together began to dwindle real fast. From days to weeks to months to at one point, a year. So contact often dwindles as everyone gets busy with their adult life and jobs. In post canon, Mona helps out even more, being one of the many to taste test his cooking as he works to become a Chef. I think he finds them really endearing, I made it especially so since Mona’s softened a bit on some edges after canon happened. (Not totally. I have thoughts on that.) So they smile a ton more than before, are more at ease with their friends, and is more free to explore the things they want to explore. And I think that really Gets to Ren because he’s never seen them be that relaxed, at least compared to before. It gets to a point where it kind of resparks his guilt for contributing to the harm that made them stiffen in the first place. So that’s a conflicting factor. But he’s grown to care a bunch for Mona, like many of their friends. I think the care is just from a different angle than others, but just as strong. If I were to be plain, he finds them cute.

So TLDR; no romantic feelings, just focuses more on Mona’s strength to carry out everything that’s going on. A strong friendship and rivalry overall. Post-canon. Marvels at how they’ve changed from the beginning, and is greatly endeared to how they’ve become more… I’m not going to say soft but more relaxed. romantic feelings start way later in their 20s.

now that i've been thinking about one direction again for the last few days (and forgive me if this reads as tone deaf considering the general situation rn), i do want to say that it BAFFLES me how niall kept his love life a secret for five whole years. this is not me saying he owes me this information or that he should give fans a play-by-play of his dating life. i'm glad he's been able to keep things private, i'm not digging or fishing, i'm just nosy as hell, he's not going to read this etc etc. but like. the boys were so overexposed for years, literally every interviewer asked them about their love lives, even when they dated non-celebrities, their relationships were widely discussed. even when they tried to keep it a secret, they were papped alllll the time (like the time harry was supposedly dating t-swift the first time around and he got caught kissing a girl that was NOT her). even when they weren't papped, they were most certainly spotted in public by fans and non-fans. i know eleanor and louis had been sighted by multiple regular, non-1d fans who only vaguely knew louis as "that guy from 1d." people used to follow perrie's brother and zayn's sisters on instagram and get updates about their relationship from there. stans had a hawklike eye on who the boys and their family members started following and unfollowing on instagram and twitter. bobby and greg have public accounts and so do his cousins and friends. i refuse to believe hailee steinfeld was niall's first relationship, he's had to have dated around. but you mean to tell me he bypassed this mass surveillance/panopticon of celebrity life and did it secretly? never even got caught once doing anything that would catch people's attention? and you mean to tell me it was such a well-kept secret that the boys, who were notorious for letting things slip, did not let it slip? did they even know what he did in his free time? did he even tell them? he's so funny

K, so as much as the rest of season 1 and the entirety of season 2 would suck with Cisco being dead, now that this thought is in my head, I can't stop thinking about how wild that would be if they literally killed him off for just that period of time, with the intention of bringing him back via Flashpoint and keeping him on for the rest of the show, but making the audience think he was gone for good for a whole entire season. That would've been CRAZY, yo.
