Amazing Spider-Man 1963 annual #1 is one of the best Spidey comics of all time but what I think really makes it stand out (outside of the first meeting of the sinister six) is the fact that it's also a giant ad for other comics.

Like goddamn they really tried to put everyone here, Thor doesn't even do anything.

for me there is something very special about these couples that consist of people who are so similar that they understand each other better than anyone else, but still there are differences between them that help elevate the relationship

i know many people love the "opposites attract" type of couple and nothing against it, but the "we are similar" (i think you can call it that, right?) is simply superior to me

You were up the next day, going downstairs so that you could make pancakes, waffles, and french toast. Minerva liked Eggos- just like her mother- so you popped two of those into the toaster.

It was very rare that you cooked a breakfast like this. For one thing, you simply didn't have the eyes and hands to watch all of the burners and make sure you flipped all of the food at the right time. It was something that you would have done with Elizabeth. Or really, Elizabeth could've managed it at the same time.

But with Wanda and Bucky helping you out in the kitchen today, it seemed like a good time to make everyone's favorite delicacies.

"How was the carnival?" You asked Wanda, as she had never been to something like it before. "Did the boys like it?"

"Oh yeah! It was a lot of fun." Wanda said with a smile. "They enjoyed it, a lot. Billy even won a couple of stuffed animals from one of the games. Tommy just wanted to eat though."

She flipped the pancakes with her magic while rummaging in the refrigerator and bringing out one of the jars of blueberries that was labelled to be used in the next three days before they went bad. "I saw that Minerva was hanging out a lot with Vision last night."

"Yes, I think she likes him a lot." You said slowly. "I haven't seen her this morning yet though. The kids like to sleep in late."

"Steve said he'll eventually break them of that habit. But he wants to wait till their older." Bucky said with a grin.

"Well as long as they aren't like Tony and Stephen with their sleep schedules, I don't mind one single bit." You admitted. "Those two need a lot more sleep than they're getting."

The Eggos popped out of the toaster and you quickly put them on a plate, lathering one of them up with whip cream, and the other you slathered with cream cheese. You quickly took them out to the kitchen.

Most of the kids were up now and waiting in their places like good kids. The table had been set, although their cups weren't full of any drink, probably because they knew they'd be getting something different on pancake morning.

"Here you go Minnie." You said, setting the plate in front of her. "What do you want to drink? It's between apple, orange, and grape today. Or milk or water."

"Milk." She said with a smile. "Thank you Auntie."

"No problem sweetheart. Oi! Buck!" You called for Bucky so that he could get the rest of the kids drinks. He took the short cut, putting the three juices, the carton of milk, and the large gallon of spring water on the table.

"Don't let them spill anything on the tablecloth at least." You warned Bucky, threateningly pointing the spatula in his face.

He grinned, backtracking to the kitchen, muttering about how sexy it was when you were dominant.

You rolled your eyes, turning back to the stove.

The French toast and waffles were done before the pancakes and from that point, it was just a lot of filling up plates with food and bringing them out.

You didn't do sugar, because you guys didn't grow a lot of it. Just some white sugar from sugar cane in the greenhouse. You didn't have powdered sugar or brown sugar though to put on the french toast. However, you did have maple syrup and so you set that out along with fruit for the meal.

There was also bacon.

Bacon was made every single day in the house to everyone but T'Challa's insistence.

Everyone was finally downstairs and all the plates were dishes out before you finally sat down with your own plate of (Breakfast Food), putting (fruit) on the side of the dish, and then did/didn't put maple syrup all over it.

You poured yourself a glass of F/D, before settling in and starting to eat. Everything smelled wonderful and the atmosphere was pleasant.

Most of the kids scarfed down their food and scampered outside before F.R.I.D.A.Y. interrupted breakfast and said. "I would recommend turning on the TV. Channel for the Daily Bugle."

"Why would we want to watch that garbage?" Tony asked. "No one believes anything that's on that channel."

"Well, I would beg to differ." F.R.I.D.A.Y. said and if you didn't know better, you'd think she actually sounded worried.

You got up from the table, moving into the living room to turn the TV on. You flipped through the channels before finding the Daily Bugle.

J. Jameson was sitting in his chair, leaning forward, and speaking. A picture of Bucky as the winter soldier was up on the TV screen.

"What the hell?" Sam asked as the others came into the living room. You glanced over nervously at Bucky's face and saw that he was frowning.

"Last night at a carnival for Memorial Day, it seems that the Winter Soldier is back." Jameson said.

"What?" Steve scoffed.

"Though details are unknown, the Winter Soldier was seen chasing his victim, a young girl, through the carnival. Not even bothering to hide his face, it has been confirmed that he managed to catch his target and neither have been seen again."

"This is satire, right?" You asked, gaping at the TV screen.

This couldn't possibly be real, could it? Surely they had to know you were Bucky's mate. And Bucky didn't have his trigger words anymore. Shuri had taken care of those.

"F.R.I.D.A.Y. I need to get in contact with the Daily Bugle and sue them for libel." Tony snapped. "And turn off the damn TV."

F.R.I.D.A.Y. said that she would get into contact immediately with J. Jameson's secretary and the TV flipped off.

You caught another glimpse of Bucky's face, which was both hardened against emotions and sad as well.

Tony was moving through the living room now, grabbing things and shoving them into other people's arms.

"What are you doing Tony?" Clint asked, looking a little worried. Neither Sam or Steve had reacted yet, nor had Bucky, and the fact that Tony was the only one reacting was a little weird.

"Bucky and Y/N are the only ones that need to stay here." Tony said, swiping his fingers across a tablet. "Everyone else needs to retreat. You're going to take the kids to a secure safe house far from here in case things get worse. They don't need to be dragged through this. Bucky and Y/N can't leave the state though. If Bucky leaves, then they'll think he's actually guilty of something. And Y/N will need to clear his name. Now that I'm thinking about it, Steve and Stephen should stay as well as you're both witnesses."

Tony had really thought this through.

"Whoa, wait, why are we moving the kids?" T'Challa asked, though Tony's speech had gotten Fury and Pietro moving. Everyone else was just trying to understand why Tony was saying what he was saying.

"Anyone looking for Bucky is going to come here first." Tony said. "The police, the Feds, enemies. We have to get the kids to safety first. But Bucky has to stay here. He'll be under investigation soon enough."

"Weren't you just saying no one believed anything on the Daily Bugle?" Wanda asked. "How do we know anyone's going to come after Bucky."

"Because." You said softly. You were looking at social media and you now turned your phone to show the pictures escalating on the pages. "HYDRA is behind it."

They looked at the photo of Bucky chasing you through the carnival. It was very slight, so slight no one else was going to see it, but in the corner was a man taking an opposite picture of the two of you. The inside of his wrist had the HYDRA mark tattooed there.

"Bucky can't stay here." Steve protested. "Now with HYDRA being the cause behind this. Neither can Y/N."

"We can't go on the run again." Clint said, rubbing the back of his head. "But the kids definitely need to be taken to a safe house."

"I've got the kids upstairs now." Fury said, slinging a bag over his shoulder. You had no idea how he had packed so quickly. He shoved his gun into his holster. "We need to get them out of here immediately."

"I don't think all of us should leave." Loki protested. "There has to be some protection here as well for Y/N."

"What do you think we are?" Stephen asked, gesturing between himself and Steve.

"Not Gods, that's for sure." Loki snapped.

"Okay, wait, calm down." You protested, trying not to let them get mad at each other. "I really think the kids need more protection than I do."

"Thor and I will stay behind as well. Everyone else besides Stark, Roger, Strange, and Barnes will go with the kids." Loki decided.

You actually really liked that, except you also really wanted Thor to go with the kids.

"I don't like this splitting up." Sam protested, "Can't I stay here too?"

Pietro was back and the kids were trooping down the stairs.

"We don't have time." Tony snapped, "F.R.I.D.A.Y. picked up that we have cars heading our way already. Ten minutes out at the shortest."

"What about Buster?" Lucy asked, looking up at Tony with puppy eyes as she made her way into the living room. The other kids were filing behind her. "We can't leave him behind!"

"Daddy Stephen is going to take all of the pets to the Sanctorum." Tony said, kissing the top of her head. I could hear a vehicle pulling up and peeking out the window, I saw Happy and Pepper driving separate, large vehicles that looked like they could've been busses but were more car shaped and not as long.

It was sudden chaos, getting the kids on the bus. Ginny and Buster jumped into the car anyways and Minerva had scooped up the two rabbits. Most of the pets were with them now and you watched as they drove away.

Sam had stayed behind as well, refusing to go if Steve and Bucky were staying behind.

You could hear the sounds of screeching tires as cars started to pull up. Bucky seemed nervous and Steve held him in his arms.

"Buck, it's okay." You said, hugging him from the front. "We'll get everything fixed in no time."

"Everyone's in danger again because of me." He whispered.

"No. Don't think like that." You scolded him, running a hand through his hair. "Everything and everyone is going to be just fine."

The door bell rang and you stalked forward, extremely angry with the people who were going to be there. You wrenched open the door and came face to face with General Ross.

"Oh bloody hell." You cursed. "What do you want?"

General Ross squinted his eyes at you. "And who are you?"

"Y/N Marvel." You said. "Soulmate to the Avengers. Which, by the way, includes Bucky Barnes. And, just in case you're blind, I'm the girl he was chasing through the carnival. And he was chasing me, because I was teasing him. And he was being himself and having fun, which I do believe we're allowed to do at the carnival."

"Can anyone verify that Bucky Barnes wasn't the Winter Soldier?" General Ross asked skeptically.

You scoffed, "Steve Rogers, Stephen Strange, Tony Stark, and myself. I would also say Shuri, Princess of Wakanda, as she worked on his brain, took his trigger words out of his head. They can't be used anymore, you can ask King T'Challa's royal guard Okoye."

General Ross looked a little intimidated at the thought of confronting T'Challa and his guard. "I just need to confirm-"

"Confirm what exactly?" You hissed. "You're tearing our life apart here."

"If you don't want problems, don't cause them." He retorted.

"We didn't cause any problems. We were having fun at a carnival." You were seething. How dare he! How dare all of them! They just picked on Bucky because they could. It was disgusting.

"When you say you were teasing him, what were you teasing him about? Was it anything that could possibly trigger the Winter Soldier?" General Ross questioned.

You laughed in disbelief. "Are you serious? I just told you that he can't become the Winter Soldier anymore. He isn't the Winter Soldier. He hasn't been the Winter Soldier for over ten years now! Stop picking on him! And about the teasing? Do you really want me to give you descriptive details about our love life? Oh! And why didn't the news cover the fact that Rogers, Strange, and Stark were all chasing me too? We were playing a bloody game. Get a stick out of your ass and leave the Avengers alone."

You slammed the door in his face, breathing heavily. You seemed to have a red rage washing over you and you stormed away from the door, furious.

"Who was it?" Stephen asked. He was sitting down calmly in the living room, one leg crossed over the other.

"General Ross." You grumbled.

The doorbell rang again and you stopped short, spinning around to go back. Steve got up, placing a hand on your shoulder. "Just go sit down Y/N. Don't work yourself up so much."

You went ahead, crawling into Bucky's lap to hug him. He wrapped his arms around you tightly. Sam sat next to him, holding onto both of you in a comforting way.

Steve came back very soon with General Ross, who glanced over at you guys and then away.

"I'm suing Jameson for libel." Tony said calmly. "And be careful what you say now or I'll sue you as well."

"Is that blackmail Mr. Stark?" General Ross questioned evenly and Stephen started to bristle as the General went after Tony.

"No. It's a promise." Tony said with a cocky smirk. "I'm pretty sure Y/N already told you everything you needed to know."

General Ross sighed, glancing over at you again. "For the most part. But I still need to take Mr. Barnes in and get an official statement from him."

You clutched Bucky tighter, feeling Sam's hands tighten on you.

"Then we'll meet you there." Sam said evenly. "I'm sure you can give us the address."

General Ross narrowed his eyes. "It's classified."

"Then we're not going." You said simply. "We know what happens when we get separated. It never ends well for either party."

"We're not Hydra Miss. . ."

"Mrs." You growled possessively. "And my last name can go on any of theirs. They're all my soulmates."

"Right. I forgot." He replied sardonically. It was a complete lie. You doubted he could forget it when you said you were soulmated to all the Avengers. "As I was saying, we're not HYDRA."

"No, but someone is." You said, before the picture was pulled up on the TV and the picture was enlargened to show him what you had found. "Someone is after Bucky and we're not going to let them get him. So if you don't mind, we'd like that address."

General Ross glanced around the room. Tony was perched on the edge of Stephen's armchair. Steve, Thor, and Loki looked almost identical in their wide stance, arms crossed over their chests. Sam was still sitting beside Bucky and you. You were still snuggled into Bucky's lap and he was still holding you tightly.

"I can't give you the address." The General sighed. "However, I can fit most of you into the van. The others can pile into another van."

That still meant we were splitting up. You glanced nervously between the others.

"Rogers, Barnes, Wilson, and Thor can go in one." Loki said slowly. "Stark, Strange, Y/N, and I will be in the second."

"That sounds good to me." Steve said.

"Very well." Tony said.

Ross nodded, and you got up so that you could follow him out of the house. You kissed Steve, Bucky, Sam, and Thor before you climbed into one of the vans, sitting between Stephen and Loki.

You settled in for a long ride as the vans quickly peeled away from the house. You wondered just what was going to happen, and if Bucky was going to be okay.

Cosplay the Classics: Elizabeth Montgomery in “Two”

“Two” first aired on 15 September 1961 and is the first episode of the third season of The Twilight Zone. Sadly, “Two” is the only episode that features Elizabeth Montgomery.

Montgomery was nearly ten years into her professional career in 1961. She had already carved out a solid resume in television, appearing prolifically on anthology and episodic shows and occasionally stretched her legs on the New York stage. Samantha Stephens was still three years away when Montgomery took her voyage through The Twilight Zone.

In its five seasons, The Twilight Zone was a crossroads of up-and-coming and well-established performers. “Two” paired the rising star Montgomery with Charles Bronson, who had a decade more acting experience in TV and film than Montgomery. Though Bronson was the more established star, “Two” is Montgomery’s showcase.

“Two” relies on minimal dialogue throughout and notably Montgomery only has a single line spoken. The role relies almost entirely on Montgomery’s action/reaction, expression, and styling. The episode begins on Montgomery as The Woman wandering an abandoned city. The first nine minutes of the episode pass with no dialogue, with context given by visual elements and Serling’s opening narration. The entire episode takes place on a small section of city street (at the old Hal Roach studios, conveniently already in disrepair). 

We learn through newspapers and magazines that this city is in The Man’s homeland, invaded by The Woman’s nation’s army. Signs of the city’s long five-year abandonment are everywhere, including full skeletons left where they fell. (The macabre element of skeletons is used sparingly across the Twilight Zone and usually in circumstances less grounded in reality than “Two,” such as “Long Live Walter Jameson” and “Queen of the Nile.”) As The Man mulls over his first encounter with The Woman a dove flies up behind him as a symbol of his genuine desire for peace. Through a variety of posters and advertisements, we learn that The Man’s homeland had a culture heavily invested in war.

All of that is solid storytelling, but Montgomery’s acting adds an extra something. When The Woman first encounters The Man, Montgomery performs hair-trigger reactivity. Despite The Woman’s dire situation—a stranded foreigner in a decimated country with seemingly no chance to ever return home—her reluctance to trust The Man is significant. Pairing Montgomery’s wordless portrayal of these responses with the jingoistic quality of The Man’s homeland and the notable length of time that the city has been abandoned makes me feel that her feelings might not be a simple holdover of wartime hostility on her part but potentially extended trauma. Perhaps The Woman had previous awful experiences with other straggling remnants of The Man’s military, who may not have been as ready as The Man to give up wartime attitudes in spite of the war clearly being over.

The Woman is understandably acting like a cornered animal. As the episode progresses, The Man tries to be as calculated as possible in communicating to The Woman that he doesn’t want a fight through his actions, turning his back to her, and not retaliating the third time she launches an attack on him. Montgomery, in turn, does a great job of drawing out the cornered animal characterization—alternating between curiosity, hope, mistrust, and open hostility. Montgomery’s characterization gives the role the added dimension that saves the episode from feeling too much like an overly simple fable.

Unfortunately, it’s in executing the fabular aspect of the story where “Two” falters. The opening narration by Serling specifies: 

“It’s been five years since a human being walked these streets. This is the first day of the sixth year as man used to measure time.  “The time: perhaps a hundred years from now, or sooner, or perhaps it’s already happened two-million years ago. The place: The signposts are in English so that we may read them more easily, but the place is The Twilight Zone.”

It’s established here that the location is meant to be a stand-in for any city in any country, and that the use of English is merely a storytelling convenience. So, even though “Two” is intended as a Cold-War era anti-war statement, they are intentionally distancing the fiction from the contemporary real-world conflict. To create further distance from a contemporary place/time, they establish that the rifles are laser guns.

But, then, that one line that Montgomery speaks in “Two,” seventeen minutes in, is “Prekrasny” or “прекрасны,” a Russian word for beautiful or pretty. This pretty much grinds to a halt the concept that this is a cautionary fable and not a vision of a dark future where the Soviet Union and the United States moved to open warfare. While I’ll admit that the conventions used to establish “Two” as a fable are cheeky and a little on the corny side, the episode itself would have been stronger without the suggestion that The Woman is Russian.

I’m not sure who made the call to use a Russian word. I wonder if perhaps Serling wrote his introduction and he had a different read on the story than its writer, Montgomery Pittman. Maybe Pittman intended “Two” to be more of a dark premonition with a twist of optimism and Serling thought of it more as a fable and the two approaches hampered each other in the final product? This is pure speculation on my part of course, but it’s a black mark on what I think could have been an even better episode than it is.

Regardless, I think “Two” is a strong episode and a fine example of a Serling-esque story written by someone brought on to lighten the load of Serling, who worked himself to the bone on Twilight Zone. I also appreciate Pittman’s confidence to rely so heavily on visual storytelling techniques, taking into account that the high quality at which we watch the show now does not reflect the quality home viewers would have had in 1961. It reflects both Serling and the producers belief that viewers would be fully engaged in watching the show as it aired rather than just passively having it on in the family room while unwinding after dinner. 

Elizabeth Montgomery’s performance heightens the whole affair considerably. That’s no shade on Charles Bronson, in fact I think the monologuing he’s given could have come off as unbearably hokey if delivered by a lesser actor.

If you can believe it, this is my very first time cosplaying The Twilight Zone! (Though I did play Rod Serling in a set of sketches in high school. I was as weird as a teenager as I am an adult, okay?) Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris, France, to British parents, Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson, both lawyers. She moved to Oxfordshire when she was five, where she attended the Dragon School. From the age of six, Emma knew that she wanted to be an actress and, for a number of years, she trained at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a part-time theatre school where she studied singing, dancing and acting. By the age of ten, she had performed and taken the lead in various Stagecoach productions and school plays.

In 1999, casting began for Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001), the film adaptation of British author J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Casting agents found Emma through her Oxford theatre teacher. After eight consistent auditions, producer David Heyman told Emma and fellow applicants, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint, that they had been cast for the roles of the three leads, Hermione Granger, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. The release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's cinematic screen debut. The film broke records for opening-day sales and opening-weekend takings and was the highest-grossing film of 2001. Critics praised the film and the performances of the three leading young actors. The highly distributed British newspaper, 'The Daily Telegraph', called her performance "admirable". Later, Emma was nominated for five awards for her performance in the film, winning the Young Artist Award for Leading Young Actress in a Feature Film.

After the release of the first film of the highly successful franchise, Emma became one of the most well-known actresses in the world. She continued to play the role of Hermione Granger for nearly ten years, in all of the following Harry Potter films: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004), Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005), Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007), Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010), and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011). Emma acquired two Critics' Choice Award nominations from the Broadcast Film Critics Association for her work in Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban and Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire. The completion of the seventh and eight movies saw Emma receive nominations in 2011 for a Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award, and for Best Actress at the Jameson Empire Awards. 2011 saw Emma in Simon Curtis's My Week with Marilyn (2011), alongside a stellar cast of Oscar nominees including Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe and Kenneth Branagh as Sir Laurence Olivier, in addition to Eddie Redmayne, Dame Judi Dench, Dougray Scott, Zoe Wanamaker, Toby Jones and Dominic Cooper. Chronicling a week in Marilyn Monroe's life, the film featured Emma in the supporting role of Lucy, a costume assistant to Colin Clark (Redmayne). The film was released by The Weinstein Company and was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical. In 2012 Emma was seen in Stephen Chbosky's adaptation of his coming-of-age novel The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012), starring opposite Logan Lerman and Ezra Miller. This independent drama centered around Charlie (Lerman), an introverted freshman who is taken under the wings of two seniors (Watson and Miller) who welcome him to the real world. The film premiered at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival and received rave reviews. The film won the People's Choice Award for Favourite Dramatic Movie and Emma also picked up the People's Choice Award for Favourite Dramatic Movie Actress. Emma was awarded a second time for this role with the Best Supporting Actress Award at the San Diego Film Critics Society Awards where the film also won the Best Ensemble Performance Award.

In summer 2013, Emma starred in Sofia Coppola's American satirical black comedy crime film, The Bling Ring (2013), opposite Katie Chang and Israel Broussard. The film took inspiration from real events and followed a group of teenagers who, obsessed with fashion and fame, burgled the homes of celebrities in Los Angeles. The film opened the Un Certain Regard section of the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. Emma also appeared in a cameo role as herself in Seth Rogen's apocalypse comedy This Is The End (2013). The film tells the story about what happens to some of Hollywood's best loved celebrities when the apocalypse strikes during a party at James Franco's house.

2014, Emma was seen in Darren Aronofsky's Noah (2014), opposite Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Ray Winstone, Douglas Booth, Logan Lerman, and Anthony Hopkins. The film told the epic, biblical tale of Noah and the ark. Emma plays the role of Ila, a young woman who develops a close relationship with Noah's son, Shem (Booth). Noah made an outstanding $300m since its release in March. In 2015, Emma starred in Regression (2015), written and directed by Alejandro Amenábar. Also headlined by Oscar-nominated Ethan Hawke, and set in Minnesota in 1990, Regression tells the story of Detective Bruce Kenner (Hawke), who investigates the case of young Angela, played by Emma, who accuses her father of sexual abuse.

In 2012, Emma was honored with the Calvin Klein Emerging Star Award at the ELLE Women in Hollywood Awards. In 2013, Emma was awarded the Trailblazer Award at the MTV Movie Awards in April and was honored with the GQ Woman of the Year Award at the GQ Awards in September. Further to her acting career, Emma is a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN, promoting gender equality and the empowerment of women. Emma graduated from Brown University in May 2014.

2017, Emma starred in the live-action Disney fantasy Beauty and the Beast (2017), one of the biggest movies of all time in the U.S., and the dramatic thriller The Circle (2017).

Copyright: I do not own any Marvel characters or locations. However, I do own my OCs, which consist of Penny Fury, Elizabeth Nelson, Elijah Chan, Katya Venice, Violetta Moscow, Lan Le, Josh, Trang Tien, Ahni Jallow, Mai Ito, and Ghaida Kashual as well as other OCs that will come up throughout the story.

It was a very drowsy sort of next morning. Elizabeth and Wanda sleepily made scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, and sausage. There was also fruit.

Penny felt rather tired, perhaps because they had all gone to sleep so late. She was resting with her head on Natasha's shoulder.

"What are we doing today?" Elizabeth asked as she set out plates, before taking a seat in her chair, stabbing a piece of sausage violently.

"I was thinking maybe we could go out somewhere." Steve said cautiously, looking around. "I don't know. Do something fun? The zoo or something like that."

"That sounds like fun!" Elizabeth said brightly.

"Sure Stevie." Penny and Tony said together.

"Let's do the Aquarium, it's going to be cold out." Trang shivered.

"It's cold?" Elizabeth asked, looking confused and Elijah chuckled.

"For the normal people Milady." Elijah grinned, sipping his tea.

"Oh right." Elizabeth said giggling. Violetta rolled her eyes and flicked crumbs at her.

"Oh, but I also need you to test out the new suit I made you." Trang said suddenly and Penny looked around until she realized that she was looking at Elizabeth.

"Why do I have a new suit?" Elizabeth asked in confusion. "My suit was fine."

"I'm hoping that I installed coms in it that won't disrupt when you use your water powers." Trang said. "But I need you to test it with me and Tony, maybe Rhodey and Sam as well."

"Yeah, of course I'll help out." Sam said, stretching as he finished off his last piece of bacon.

Suddenly, the elevator doors could be heard opening up down the hall and angry footsteps stomped towards them. Penny leaned to look around Pietro's shoulder and saw her father storming down the hallway.

"You couldn't keep your hands to yourselves for five minutes could you!" He snapped, tossing a newspaper that he had in his hands onto the table.

Pietro, of course, was the one who snatched it up first. Penny leaned around to look over his shoulder and saw a picture of Elizabeth sitting on Bucky's lap. The two of them were lip locked, both of them still in the attire they wore to the party last night. It showed Steve and Sam just standing there. And across the top in the bold headline was the words:

FROZALINE: THE AVENGERS UNDERCOVER SLUT?

"Oh fuck." Penny whispered.

"What?" Tony asked sharply.

Pietro slid the paper across to Tony, who scanned it, tossed the paper down, and immediately started to pull up the actual news. Slowly, the paper circulated around the table, while they found a channel to listen to.

J. Jameson was on the news, with photos up while the same headline on the newspaper ran down on the border of the news. Penny glanced quickly over at Elizabeth and saw that she looked blank, like it hadn't hit her yet. Bucky on the other hand, was red in the face with anger. Elijah's face was smooth, but his eyes were smoldering.

"Leaked photos from the Avengers tower shows that the world's mightiest superheroes are crossing forbidden lines." Jameson said dramatically. "These photos contain our valiant and pure-hearted Captain America, notorious playboy Tony Stark, and of course, the winter soldier who can't remember his name, much less what a soulmate is-"

Steve and Sam shot straight up and Penny was immediately rearing in defense. Tony's teeth snapped together angrily and all of the other avengers in the room showed similar reactions of anger.

"But," Jameson continued, "At least the deviancy that takes place behind closed doors-"

And here, different footage was shown. All of it was from last night as well. Natasha with Wanda, Violetta, Vision, Katya, and Lan. A photo showing Steve, Bucky, Sam, and Elizabeth heading up to their bedroom together. Another picture showing Tony and Trang kissing in the lab. Ahni, Mai, and Hope together.

"-it seems that certain superheroes feel the need to flaunt their whore-like behavior." Jameson sneered and the picture of Elizabeth sitting on Bucky's lap kissing him came up on screen again. Elizabeth sunk down in her seat a little. "Elizabeth Nelson, also known as Frozaline, has always portrayed herself as an innocent, Christian girl. However, evidence here shows that she sluts it up with the brain-washed, should be in the raft, soldier- right in front of their soulmates! Clearly, she doesn't care-"

The TV went dead as it melted into hot metal. Elijah closed his eyes as he attempted to cool down. "I'll buy a new one Tony."

"It's fine." Tony snapped, though not upset with Elijah. "How did they get those photos?"

"My fault." Elizabeth muttered, tearing the skin around her fingernails, not looking at any of them. "I did it right out in the open."

"Yeah, well, it's actually my fault." Bucky growled, glaring at her. "I'm the one who pulled you into that kiss. You weren't going to do it. It's on me."

"We all forgot." Steve sighed, putting a tight hand on Bucky's shoulder. Him and Sam were still burning with rage at Jameson's' comments about their soulmate.

"What do we do about it?" Stephen asked calmly. "We have options, what are they?"

Fury sighed, "There's been some talk about disbanding the Avengers. Some other talk about jailing certain Avengers-"

"They're not taking her." Elijah and Loki said together in deadpanned voices. Elijah flaming up and Loki's eyes flashing green.

"It won't be able to happen." Stephen assured them. "They can't jail anyone for crossing soulmate lines."

"You could press conference." Fury sighed. "Just come clean. I'm sure there'll be some support."

"I'll do the press conference." Elijah offered, still smoldering, "Besides, some of the photos are edited. I was standing there as well when James kissed Elizabeth. Not to mention, I was with the soldiers and Elizabeth when we went up to their room. Whoever took these pictures edited me out."

"But why?" Thor rumbled angrily.

"To make her look worse, right?" Natasha pointed out. "And to smear Steve, Bucky, and Sam."

"But why the soldiers? That doesn't make any sense." Bruce looked confused.

"Because." Elizabeth said absentmindedly, like she wasn't bothered by what was going on. "Tony's a playboy. If he crosses some lines, who cares? It's nothing new. Loki is always going to be a villain in their eyes no matter what. And with Pietro and the others, some of them don't have their soulmates, so they can't be blamed for crossing lines and Wanda was with Vision in the photo so clearly they were in agreement. But Steve? He's perfect. Literally Gods-Chosen, Americas best. If they can dirt his name, they'll do it."

Steve blushed slightly at her praise.

"But I still don't understand why they didn't try to make Elijah look bad." Pietro said.

"Because," Lan cut in, "If it looks like Elizabeth's soulmate isn't there, then it looks like she- and the soldiers- are going behind his back."

"You know you're not a slut, right?" Rhodey looked over at Elizabeth.

Elizabeth actually snickered, leaning back in her seat. Penny gave a start when she said, "Sure I am. I'm your guys' slut and I quite like my position so don't get rid of it."

Penny, Katya, and Natasha all giggled into their hands as all of the men- including Penny's dad- groaned lowly.

"You know." Tony growled, pushing the palms of his hands into his eyes, looking slightly frustrated, "It is really to early in the day to be getting horny Ice Cube. So watch it."

"Okay, but on a serious note," and here she blushed darkly and stared at the ceiling, "You're not going to stop calling me those names in bed, are you? Cause I really like them."

"Of course not doll." Steve said quickly. "Whatever you want."

"Great." Elizabeth said. "Then let's stop worrying about this stupidity. We had plans today. Who cares if they don't like that we're all together? That's none of their business anyways! We all love each other and no one is going to take that away from us."

Penny smiled and loved how everyone else smiled at her as well, agreeing. Elijah wrapped his arms around Elizabeth and kissed the side of her head. It struck Penny a little funny that Elizabeth had water powers but easily got fired up, and Elijah was the fire powers, but was always as cool as a cucumber. They were literally the definition of a perfect soulmate pair.

"Still," Fury crossed his arms over his chest, "Are you prepared for the backlash that will come from this decision of going public with a press conference?"

"Yes." Elizabeth said.

"What's new?" Katya yawned.

"We get backlash on every missions we go on." Clint shrugged his shoulders. "Who cares at this point?"

"Oh!" Elizabeth said happily. "This means I can change the last names on the kids too."

"To what?" Lan asked in confusion.

"Well Mateo can take the last name 'Heimdallson.'" Elijah said slowly. "And I'm assuming Rue's last name will now be Barnes?"

"Barnes-Roger." Elizabeth corrected.

"But she's only Bucky's kid." Steve said in confusion.

"Yeah, but that's your guys last name." Elizabeth waved her hand around.

"Actually. . . " Loki said slowly. "My mother and father had an idea."

Everyone looked at him and the pale God went slightly pink. He cleared his throat and said, "There is a ceremony on Asgard that would marry all of us and we would all take an agreed last name. Now, admittedly, this would literally marry all of us, even if we don't always interact with each other. So, Elizabeth, Ghaida, Trang, you guys would be married to the other girls as well. Of course, this doesn't mean that you would suddenly be attracted to them, we would all just have the same name."

There was silence in the kitchen for a moment. Penny looked around at all of her soulmates and the others that she interacted with. Everyone looked thoughtful.

"Um, what about Shuri and I?" T'Challa, who had been very quiet so far asked. "Or Pietro and Wanda?"

"It doesn't include siblings." Thor added. "It's a very intricate spell. It will bind soulmates together first in their pairs or groups, before adding in. But it recognizes siblings. Or, pirate, daughter and father bonds."

Fury cleared his throat, looking away and Penny went pink. Clint chuckled under his breath.

"Maybe we should have some time to think about this." Lan said, his arms crossed over his chest.

"Of course." Loki said. "The spell can only be done on Lunar New Years anyways, so we have time."

Penny felt a slight glow inside of her and she touched her stomach gently. The idea of them being a proper family in name gave her goosebumps.

"I should probably go ahead and address the people then." Elijah sighed, getting out of his seat.

Suddenly, Penny's fathers phone started to ring. She recognized her mother's ringtone and Fury picked it up. "Yes?"

He raised an eyebrow and eventually hung up. "Well, what do you know, Blonsky has been tracked down."

Penny froze. She felt a spike of fear, but not for herself. Shit, maybe she did have Stockholm syndrome. . . she didn't want them to go after her. She didn't want them to arrest him. Were they already going after him?

"Has a team been sent out yet?" Elizabeth asked cautiously and Penny was thankful for the ice superhero.

"Not yet." Fury said. "I'll probably make a team out of you all-"

"I'll go." Elizabeth said easily and they all looked at her.

"Um, absolutely not." T'Challa crossed his arms over his chest. "I can send the Dora Milaje after him."

Crap, they would probably kill them.

Wanda's eyes met Penny's and Penny glanced down at the table, hoping Wanda wasn't reading her mind.

"Oh come on." Elizabeth frowned, "I haven't been on a mission in what feels like forever. Besides, this will be an easy one. Besides, I know Australia like the back of my hand."

For some reason, Katya, Violetta, Ghaida, Trang, Ahni, and Elijah all flinched.

"I would feel much better if you never stepped foot in Australia ever again." Lan drawled.

Elizabeth scowled, "Nick."

Fury sighed, looking down at the ground. "Listen E, you're a brilliant Agent and-"

"Do not butter me up and then deny me this mission." Elizabeth sighed. "I'll take Penny with me. She's the one that deserves to go anyways."

Penny looked over at the girl and realized that Elizabeth knew exactly how Penny felt. Penny nodded, "Yeah, let's do it."

"I think you're both underestimating the opponent." Bruce said quickly. "He's not just a simple person, he's like me, but slightly more dangerous."

"And I can control you." Elizabeth pointed out, "We practiced before we left for Sri Lanka. We're fine! It's just another mission and I'm a superhero as much as any of you."

"Okay." Elijah said unexpectedly. "I agree."

And that seemed to be the final word.

"Very well then." Fury said, nodding once. "Then I want the two of you heading out to Australia in a few hours time."

"We'll be ready." Elizabeth nodded, standing up. "Coming Penny?"

"Yeah." Penny said quickly, and followed the ice girl out of the kitchen. The two of them headed up to Elizabeth's bedroom first and she watched as Elizabeth pulled out a black duffel bag and started to pack.

"Elizabeth, why me?"

Elizabeth smirked at her, "Oh, you'll see."

Sam walked through the hallway of the fancy apartment complex, looking for the right door. They had let him in right away when they had seen who he was. He really hoped that the man he was looking for was home.

He stopped in front of suite A34 and knocked on the door, stepping to the side so that he couldn't be seen through the eyehole.

The door opened a moment later and J. Jameson stepped out and looked around. He straightened up and narrowed his eyes when he saw Sam standing there. "Mr. Wilson."

"It's actually Barnes-Rogers." Sam corrected harshly. "I changed my name when I got married. And I think we should talk. In private."

"So you came to threaten me just because I did a news report on your deranged soulmate." Jameson scoffed.

Sam stepped closer, moving so that both of them were inside his apartment and he closed the door behind him. He crossed his arms over his chest, watching the weaselly man back away from him.

"I'll call the police on you." Jameson sneered. "For breaking and entering."

"Technically I just entered." Sam snapped. "And I'm not here to hurt you. I'm only here to warn you. Bucky is a good man who had a crap life handed to him. It's not his fault that HYDRA kidnapped him, held him against his will, and brainwashed him so that he forgot who he was and his morals. The people he killed were never his fault. I'd like to see you be brainwashed and not follow what you're told. But he's free now. He's been free for years and he's never hurt anyone since he's been free. So what you need to do, is back. The fuck. Off."

Jameson drew himself to full height, "I have a right under the first amendment to a freedom of speech-"

"And I have a right by the law that I can sue you for defamation." Sam interrupted. "Not only are you smearing my soulmates name for things he can't control, you're also bad mouthing Elizabeth-"

"She's a slut."

Sam slammed his hand against the wooden table. "You should refrain from using words like that to describe the woman I love."

"She's not your soulmate."

"You'll hear very soon on the news that we Avengers are all together. Every single one of us except the straight ones. I'm sure Elijah, who happens to be Elizabeth's soulmate just so you know, will tell you all of our plans on the news. So the next time I see you report on the screen, you better keep your nasty opinions to yourself. Am I understood?"

"I promise that I will report the news as I see it." Jameson hissed. "And if I still see Elizabeth Nelson as a slut, then I'll say it. And there's nothing you can do about it."

Sam started to nod slowly and then his fist cracked out, punching the man across the jaw. Jameson shouted in pain, a hand flying up to cup his jaw.

"You just punched me!"

"Did I?" Sam asked in faux surprise. "See, words have consequences. Especially when people offend the people I love. You get the exclusive confession. I love my soulmates. I love Steve and Penny and yes, I fucking love Bucky Barnes. And you know what else? I love Elizabeth Nelson and I love Tony Stark and Loki and Thor and Clint. So the next time you report the news, remember that you need to offend every single superhero on the Avengers team. You need to offend the King of Wakanda and the Sorcerer Supreme and the King of Asgard and the King of the Jotuns. You need to offend all the heroes that keep you safe. Remember that."

And with that, Sam jerked open the door and stormed out of the building. And as he hit the fresh air, he relaxed, feeling much better.

"Trang?" Tony asked uncertainly. She was looking at her laptop with earbuds in her ears, watching the news. The one specifically with her and him on the screen, their eyes closed and kissing. Her shoulders shook and he realized with horror that she was crying.

"Trang?" He asked louder, coming over to sit down next to her. She clicked off the video and pulled out the earbuds. She pulled her glasses off her face, putting them down on the small table and started to sob.

"Trang, what's wrong!" He asked, alarmed, pulling her into his arms.

Trang sniffled, wiping her face and then said, "I can't have children."

"What?" He whispered softly.

"I asked Ghaida if she knew why I wasn't getting pregnant." Trang swallowed, wiping her eyes again as they continued to leak. "And it's because of the birth control that I was on. It didn't just stop me from having children then, but it's going to stop me from having children for the rest of my life!"

Tony didn't know what to say, so he just kept rubbing his hand on her back. As much as the news saddened him, there were plenty of other girls that he could have children with. And besides, it wasn't like he only loved Trang because he wanted a child with her. He loved her no matter what.

"I'm so sorry Tony." Trang sobbed. "I'm so sorry. This is all my fault. I failed you."

"How were you supposed to know?" Tony asked softly, smoothing her face back. "How were you supposed to know that the medicine would affect you long term?"

"Elizabeth warned me." Trang hiccupped. "She told me not to go on it. She told me about studies that had been done. But I didn't want children then so I didn't care then if it affected me long term. And she always was saying things I thought were conspiracy theories so I ignored her. And now I'm paying for it!"

"Trang, look at me." Tony commanded softly, capturing her chin so that he could force her to stare into his eyes. "I never loved you because of children. I love you because of you. If you can't have kids, it doesn't change anything. Sure, am I little sad, yes, I'm not going to lie to you. But it's not the end of the world. It's not the end of our relationship. And it most certainly doesn't change my love for you."

He drew her down so that he could capture her lips with his. He made a mental note in the back of his head to ask Thor if he would be able to do anything to change Trang's status- just in case she still wanted to try if Thor could change it.

Trang relaxed against him, sniffling, and once she was alright again, she sat up.

"Hey, everything okay?" Stephen asked as he and Loki joined the two of them in the side living room.

Trang dissolved into quieter tears as Tony slowly explained what happened. Soon, Stephen and Loki were cuddling the two of them.

"It's okay princess." Loki kissed her forehead. "Everything is going to be okay."

"We love you sweets." Stephen murmured softly.

"I love you too." Trang whispered, snuggling into them, feeling the love and contentment surround her. And she felt comforted as she fell asleep.
