No, because like lobsters are one of the kinds of animals who can actually regrow their arms, so that means Doctor Conners was about *this* close to becoming “The Lobster” instead of “The Lizard.”

I love thinking about heroes finding out that Peter used to work with Doc Ock or The Lizard or whoever before they became a supervillain and thinking that he must secretly be evil too

But

I also love the idea of one of those villains deciding to go after Peter because something is falling apart and since Peter worked on it with them then he might be able to fix it and they’re going to get him to help them through any means possible

And then some other hero finds out and decides to treat him like a damsel in distress, and Peter has to pretend to be a frightened citizen

1990's Spider-Man Vol.1 #3 last page (part four of the "Torment" story arc) by artist Todd McFarlane (words & art). A storyline rather heavily influenced by "Kraven's Last Hunt" in my opinion (with Calypso taking over from her ex lover Kraven and also The Lizard acting like Vermin).

Spidey who worked with Connors: Oh yeah, exact same thing happened to me, I still think we can turn it around in his case

Spidey who worked with Otto: Exact same thing happened to me too! Unfortunately, he seems to really enjoy villainy so I don’t know if there’s any helping him :(

Spidey who hasn’t met Connors or worked with Otto who’s only really been around Norman who’s not a scientist but it’s close enough: I…didn’t really have a situation like that? Y’know with the helping part? But I know a guy who accidentally turned himself into a supervillain trying to cure himself? He was definitely evil beforehand though so I’m not sure I’d call him a “great man”

1st Spidey who actually had a crazy unique situation and the “scientist” in their story was something wild, like Reed Richards or something: I’m so glad to meet other people who can relate :)
