May with powers was a terrifying thing. It was already difficult having to be new parents to a toddler and now she had powers? It was something that they were going to have to navigate delicately. Every part of her though hoped that May wasn't so self sacrificial the way that Peter was. Watching Peter give his life to strangers time and time again was harrowing already, having to experience May do the same was an ordeal Mary Jane wasn't sure she could survive. Stroking May's chubby cheeks and watching her chest move up and down as she breathed, MJ could already see the kind of life waiting for May. It was scary but she knew that her and Peter were going to be there every step of the way supporting May. Smiling as Peter wrapped his arms around her waist and buried his face against her back, she placed a hand over his. "Believe it," she said, guiding Peter's hand so that he could place it on May's belly. "That little girl is all you and I am yours for the rest of our lives, in every universe and every reality," she said surely. It wasn't as if she was wrong. MJ had seen enough alternate versions of her to know that her and Peter, they were always destined to find one another and they were always destined to be together. "I love you Peter Parker. I want you to know, no matter how scared I become with how May's powers, I want you to know, I would do it all over again. I don't regret this life and I will never." MJ felt the need to reassure Peter now, before he got into his head thinking she and May were better off without him. Guilt and Peter Parker came hand in hand.

Peter really didn’t know what he would do without Mary Jane. Not just in regards to this whole parenting thing, but just in life and general. Countless times he had told her how much he needed her in his life, how often she had saved him. It was true. She was his reason of living and his reason for being Peter Parker. Without her, he would have lost himself in Spider-Man and that would have inevitably probably led to his own death. While he loved being Spider-Man and doing this to protect a city that he loved, he knew that without Mary Jane, there would have never been something to keep him from fully sacrificing himself in the name of heroism. She gave him a reason to come home and as he looked between her and their daughter, he saw what more she was giving him. He could never be more grateful for Mary Jane Watson. “You’re right. We can wrap her inside a bubble and we’d still worry. How exciting for that to be our lives. I worry about you, I worry about her.” He paused to look down at her sleeping face. “But this is a nice trade off - getting to see this.” Peter smiled at his wife, leaning in and giving her a kiss before he got up only to move around so that he was situated beside MJ. Burying his face against her back, he wrapped his arm over her enough to be able to reach over May too. “I can’t believe you two are mine,” he muttered, slightly muffled by his face being buried against her. “My two beautiful, perfect girls.”
