I got so excited I threw it all on my dress form immediately but ohhhhhh Baiken is done and I can’t wait to wear her next week! More info under the cut:

It took me shorter than expected to sew the entire costume together yet it was more complex than I thought. I was able to eyeball most of it but it took a lot of mockups and fitting too. I’d say I worked an approximate 70-80 hours on this over a timeframe of 3 months.

All of it was handmade, no special machinery used except my 3d printer for the eyepatch, leather applique was done with heat&bond and the rest topstitched. The sword is foam and worbla that I painted. If you have any other questions about the costume just ask :) I likely won’t have the patterns anymore tho

Since Groudon is so hard to wear, (and because it’s fun) I would love to make another Pokémon costume eventually. What Pokémon would you be most interested in seeing a fursuit of?

Personally, I’ve always thought about, Zekrom, Yveltal, and Kommo-o

Found this old video I never posted of me in my Blaziken suit when it was still a WIP. I no longer own this suit, and now belongs to someone in the USA (so you may see it around!)

this is my son Peter Plucking he died tragically in a preventable bouncy castle accident on my nephews 7th birthday. its ok though because now i get to use his dental insurance #freerootcanal

I am still working on Gigan albeit slowly. I’m colouring the body while finishing up the final things (knee guards, and details on the scythes).

When making kaiju suits you usually cover the suit in latex, however that is too expensive for me, so I’m directly painting the foam. This does not give me the desired texture sadly. But it works for making the body black.

The spray paint I used before dissolved the glue I used for the foam. Which was very frustrating, since I have to glue down a lot of points again, with hot glue this time, which isn’t as strong as the original glue I used
