Book Review for Icebreaker
Tumblr media
It has taken me FOREVER to write this review and it still feels like I just finished this book yesterday. The layers upon layers between Nate and Anastasia burrow so deep into your psyche that you find yourself thinking about scenes long after you close the book. If you are a fan of Elle Kennedy and have finished the Off-Campus Series - consider this a second helping (yes, I am aware of the Briar U Spin-off).
For as long as she could remember, all Anastasia ever wanted to be was a figure skater. Now, with her partner Aaron, she finally has a chance of qualifying, moving her even closer to her dream of competing in the Olympics. Said dream quickly turns into a nightmare when the antics of the school's hockey team causes one of the only two rinks on campus to shut down, forcing the skaters and hockey players to split rink time. With competitions coming up, consolidated practice time and distractions are not an option, even if the drop dead gorgeous Hockey Captain is apologetic and determined to "make nice". As the hostility builds, the coaches come up with a bright idea to have an icebreaker exercise. Despite skepticism everywhere, it works and bonds are formed. All is well until one run-in leads to an unexpected connection. Reminding herself that she doesn’t do relationships and can live without the drama, Anastasia suddenly realizes there is something (or someone) else she can’t seem to live without.
Icebreaker is definitely one I will read again in the future. Again, it wasn’t the type of book that will have you weeping (fanning yourself – definitely) but it will get those gears moving and give you a lot to think about when it comes to love, life, relationships, friendship, hopes, and dreams.

So here I sat, staring at the console screen in front of me, watching digital gauges, temperatures and other statistics, making sure everything was within safe operational zones.
There were no prying eyes or bosses looking over my shoulder. All I had to do was keep the hangar’s cooling system functional. No one ever came down here as long as I kept things running smoothly. And I needed to keep it that way in order to keep my job.
Having all these hours to myself meant that I could get on with whatever I wanted. So I used my time in a questionable manner, usually watching a wide assortment of alien porn. The options were endless too, it being an industry that spanned across galaxies. There were scenes with Threnthrals pounding their thick, bulbous appendages into the many soft, oozing holes along a Worbolol’s throbbing abdomen. Or a scaly Lijjandok stuffing its ribbed cock into the fertile slits along a Moloog’s back. A genre that I’d recently discovered, which had fast become my favorite, featured Zeggoreths getting it on with human females.
Sitting at the console, I searched for a scene with one hand as my other hand slipped under my panties. I tapped the play button. On screen, a Zeggoreth stomped into view. Its sleek, dark blue, brutish form loomed over a gorgeous brunette, who lay fully clothed on a hover-bed. She looked up at the alien with seductive longing. Two muscular arms rested at the alien’s side, and from its chest writhed a mass of tentacles.
The alien leapt onto the bed, pinning the girl down with its powerful forearms. The girl put up a playful struggle, all with a delighted grin on her face. The grin turned to an aroused stare as the Zeggoreth’s tentacles slid under her clothes, straining the fabric as they wrapped around her breasts, spread down her belly and snaked down her legs. In one motion, her clothes were ripped from her body, leaving her completely naked on the bed. This primal display set her cheeks ablaze, and from her gently parted lips spilled heavy breaths. As I watched, I felt my pussy moisten around my exploring fingers.
The Zeggoreth flipped the woman onto her belly and anchored her legs with its strong hands. Tentacles spread apart her legs, giving a glorious display of her dripping wet cunt. The alien moved in closer, its shadowy blue tentacles wriggling towards her open holes. I imagined tentacles grabbing hold of me, swirling over my body, squirming into my willing pussy. My body went hot all at once as I watched what came next. The tentacles inched nearer. Slime dripped onto her butt cheeks and slid down her juicy cunt. She pleaded to be filled as the alien held her in place and toyed with her, driving her wild. Tentacles licked around her holes, about to enter her.

“Adult books / I don't understand / Jackie Susann meant it that way …” from the single “Adult Books” by Los Angeles punk band X.
“The sixties will be remembered for The Beatles, Andy Warhol and me.” Jacqueline Susann.
Born on this day: fiercely glamorous Pucci-clad, bouffant-haired steamy novelist, false eyelash enthusiast and self-publicist extraordinaire Jacqueline Susann (20 August 1918 – 21 September 1974). Valley of the Dolls – the 1966 best-seller and 1967 movie adaptation - will always be a sacred cultural touchstone for me. (Dolls! Dolls! Dolls! Deep Inside Valley of the Dolls, The Most Beloved Bad Book and Movie of All Time (2020) by Stephen Rebello is obligatory reading). Book Review for Train Wreck
Tumblr media
This book was down right hysterical. I have heard of people having bad luck but Pepper just takes it to a whole new level. I mean if misfortune was a contest, she would come in first place! Who almost gets hit by a car just standing on a street corner, twirling a sign?
I couldn’t get enough of Derek! His internal struggle of how he viewed Pepper was sensational. He was the looking glass of how the rest of the world perceived her. All she wanted was to be on her own and prove herself, earning the respect of her father, but she was the laughing stock of the family and Derek was just as guilty for how he treated her.
I am so happy they decided to continue the story with her neighbor and the little girl. She deserved so much more than what she was going through and witnessing her happy ending is next on my to do list. Definitely continuing this series! Can’t wait to see what else Faber has up her sleeve.

So Priest page 118.
Nothing really has happened but The Gaudy Cross started playing as they're both talking about feeling god's presence. It's giving Copia trying to convert a potential member of the church after they ask how to pray properly.

Steamy Saturday
"The lemonade was spiked. The woman was near naked. . . . he hadn't wanted her advances."
". . . he began to find that peaceful co-existence was a hard endeavor."
"His twilight path began shortly after Mildred had seduced him, but the second seduction being by a boy near his own age."
". . . you can't help but feel a kindred sorrow for this boy. . . ."
"But it was another of many episodes which caused him to become Lost on Twilight Road."
Young Lonny knew who he was and what he desired, but the machinations of others forced their values and desires on him . . . until he met Gene Styles. Such is the premise of Lost on Twilight Road by James Colton, published in Fresno, California by National Library Books in 1964. Fortunately, there is a happy ending for Lonny and Gene, which is not always the case in 1950s and 60s gay fiction.
James Colton is a pseudonym for the popular American crime writer and poet Joseph Hansen (1923–2004). In the 1960s he wrote for the American pro-gay publication ONE, and later hosted a radio show called Homosexuality Today, and helped organize the first Gay Pride Parade in Hollywood. His Dave Brandstetter private-eye series features a hardboiled private investigator who is also openly gay, and is cited as a groundbreaking character in gay fiction and crime fiction. Hansen was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Private Eye Writers of America, as well as two Lambda Literary Awards for Gay Mystery from the Lambda Literary Foundation.
The publisher, National Library Books, was founded by Sanford Aday and Wallace de Ortega Maxey, members of the American gay rights organization, Mattachine Society.

So... we make covers.
Premade covers.
And they're affordable.
People do judge a book by their cover and these are for those who are looking for some spice. All of our covers are exclusive and are just waiting for the title of your book and author's name. Interestingly, all of these would be usable for LGBTQIA+ or Het romance or erotica.
Check them out!

Something stirred under the table, concealed beneath the long tablecloth. A slimy streak ran along my ankle, the touch soft and wet. A sigh left my lips at the delicate touch.
“I see. So your tentacles are good for a great many things then.” The tentacle stroked up my calf in response.
I looked deep into the tentacle monster’s eye as I traced a finger around the rim of my wine glass. Sexual undercurrents were clear in the tentacle monster’s penetrating gaze. We shared this moment, heightened by the secret, sensual touch hidden from everyone else.
We continued sipping at our wine, our eyes locked, sparks of desire flying between us. The tentacle smeared up my knee, then up my thigh. Another tentacle joined the first, slipping under my dress and pulling my moistened panties from my arousal-soaked pussy. I sucked in a breath as the first tentacle brushed up my slit, turning my body hot with desire.
“Two strawberry tarts,” a voice said, causing me to jolt in my seat and the tentacle monster to pause its advances. Our waitress had returned.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to startle you,” she said as she lay two plates on the table.
“Oh! That’s quite alright,” I replied. “Thank you. The tarts smell delicious.”
“Enjoy them,” the waitress said before departing.
I looked down at the tarts. They were still fresh from the oven and decorated with strawberries. “Something tells me you really like strawberries,” I teased. The tentacle monster reciprocated by spreading my pussy lips and, at a glacial pace, gliding an oozing tentacle into me. “I’ll take that as a ye–ess…” I said, my eyes sinking closed as the slimy penetration slowly overwhelmed me.

“My God, I want you,” he gasped, grinding his hips down. “I want to strip you bare and sink into you and never let you go.”
Penelope groaned with desire, unable to believe how much pleasure she could feel from mere words. He made her feel wicked, naughty, and oh-so-desirable.
And she never wanted it to end.
Colin felt himself trembling as he kissed Penelope’s neck, his desire for her like a wildfire that he could not quench. She was his best friend, he wouldn’t—couldn’t—take her virtue. Even so, he continued to kiss and lick her back and neck up to the sensitive spot behind her earlobe. He grazed his teeth on her earlobe, and she gasped with pleasure him. He was lost; he had to have her.
“I want you, Penelope, but I can’t...,” he said, twisting her nipples between his fingers.
“Please, don’t stop...” Penelope moaned.
“I’ll show you one or two things we can do without risking you getting pregnant.”
“I don’t want cake. I want something else, but I don’t know what.”
“Cake?” he frowned, confused.
Someone told me that when a man brings cake to a woman, she can get pregnant.
Colin held back a chuckle. She was so innocent and beautiful. He lifted her chin toward him and kissed her with a slow devotion, savoring her. Then, he dropped his lips to her ear, “The wicked things I’m going to do with you are way better than cake...”
Penelope cooed in anticipation with his words. She didn’t know what was going to happen, but whatever it was, it would be good because it was with Colin. (Continue reading at my Patreon page)

So I saw today someone posting Tessa and Jems First kiss from Jems POV and I realised maybe not everyone has the compendium of The Infernal Devices Extras that I have so I have painstakingly screen shot all 90odd pages, as I can't figure out how to share it as a file from my phone.
So I will be adding 10 pages at a time if people are interested.

Book Review for 69 Million Things I Hate About You
Tumblr media
What would you do if you won 69 million dollars? Quit the job you absolutely despise or have some good ol’ fashion payback with a boss who has been bound and determine to make your life a living h*ll (and insists on calling you every name but your own!) Better yet, why not make it an office pool to see how much you can get away with before he fires you!
69 Million Things I Hate About You was just too much and I still can’t get it off my mind! Have you ever read a book where you just liked everything about it? The characters, the plot, the flow, the ending? There are scenes that still crack me up when they pop into my head.
As this was my first “billionaire” romance, I didn’t know what to expect but definitely not the hurricane that was Kiersten Abbott. The antics between her and Cole were down right hilarious. Even after you find out some of the things he pulled later in the story, you still shake your head and find yourself saying “That’s just wrong!” It was like witnessing the escalation of arms in the Cold War – one determined to out do the other to see who broke first. I didn’t know who I was rooting for by the end but I definitely enjoyed the ride.
