Yesterday was International Asexuality Day, but ace books are good to read all year round. Asexual means a person doesn't feel sexual feelings or attraction to others, but this is a spectrum and can vary widely from person to person. Note that attraction does not equal romance, and asexual is not the same as aromantic. Some people are sex repulsed, some are not. Some people are sex positive, some are not.

Demisexuality falls under the asexual umbrella, and means a person doesn't feel attraction until developing a strong connection with a person. Two of my books, Phantom and Rook, and Matsdotter and Adrastus, have demisexual mains.

There are many different shades of Ace, and many different types of stories just waiting for you to read.

Hello, readers!

This year, in lieu of the standard pride month book sale, I am throwing my focus onto getting these books into the hands of the people they were written for- teenagers. So, instead of asking you to open your wallets, I am asking you to open up the website for your nearest library and request these books which costs you zero dollars.

Since every website is different, I can't give you the step by step guide I would like to. But when I just tried it it took about 5 minutes.

Secondhand Origin Stories

She never expected the trauma and turmoil of the multi-generation family inside, or the way she'd be swept into their orbit.

Long awaited reunions and the need for the US's only full hospital for genetically altered people bring the Sentinels- and their family- to rural Minnesota. But when they realize that not only have altereds been going missing from the area, but the federal bureau that should have sent that mission to them has kept it quiet, they need to figure out who they can trust- and fast- or thousands could die.

So if you'd like to help get deeply character driven, very queer family drama with brain altering nanites, explosions, and government corruption into your local library, please let them know that. I think we always need more stealthily queer books on those shelves.
