Also the big bad ship is called Shrike, the insufferable captain (and only outsider perspective on our heroes so far) is called Shaw and now I really need a friendly ship called Zephyr, preferably with two superpowered sisters and a dashing old-fashioned gentleman on board.

I work retail, and yesterday I pulled up a customer's rewards account to see his name listed as "Jim Kirk."

I said, "Cool name."

"Thanks," he said. "Want to see my ID?"

He pulled out a Star Fleet identification card with a picture of Captain Kirk on it.

"My name is Jim Kirk and I'm from Iowa," he told me. "I'm invisible online."
