It took five games into the new season of Overwatch for someone to be a toxic POS. Honestly that's pretty impressive and has to be a record of some sort.

I just... I just don't understand what makes a person plan an online game with other living breathing human beings and think "hey, I'm going to be jerk/bully/meanie pants".

Add onto the fact that the game literally encourages players to play "all roles" yet according to seemingly majority of the player base, playing outside of your comfort zone is a cardinal sin and worthy of flaming and ripping someone apart for.

People often tell me to just suck it up or deal with it because that's the price of playing online games, but I'm sorry no?! Maybe I don't want to be content with the fact that so many people in the world are colossal assholes. Maybe that genuinely upsets me because these people are out there being horrible people online and then just getting on with their lives not caring about the repercussions of their actions.

Honestly, if you're a dick and a bully to people online, I don't want to associate with you. Because that shows me that a part of your soul is dark and nasty and not worth my time.

Whether it's Overwatch or Apex or WoW or whatever, it's a FUCKING GAME. People play to have fun and if you're not having fun then have the agency to close the game, walk away and breathe. Participate in some self care and love and think about what it is that is making you so angry at the world that you're bullying random strangers on the internet.

Story time!

My nibling approached me yesterday and we had the following conversation...

Nibling: "Can I ask you a favour?"

Me: "Depends." (I am the sassy aunt, it's how I roll)

N: You know how I'm turning 16 soon, so I can finally play Apex?

Me: ...Yes? (assuming they are going to ask to play with me since we are already OW2 buddies)

N: Sometime before then could you teach me all about the lore?

Me: "...for realsies?"

N: Only if that's ok?

Me: *basically shaking from excitement at this point* Of course, I'd love to!

N: Thanks so mu...

Me: CAN I MAKE A POWERPOINT PRESENTATION????

N: *is now backing away slowly and realising the Pandora's box they have now opened* Sure?

Me: AHHHHHHHH

So that is the story of how my nilbing has accidently made a deal with the Devil (me) and will now be sitting through an extensive presentation on Apex Legends and its lore.

It's fine, they will be fine. I think.

i love the…. almost horror aspects of this album. all the references to ghosts and death…. and sonically, the unexpected shrieking in WAOLOM and the banging and screaming during “old habits die screaming” and even the way the tension subtly builds across the sixteen tracks and by the end you’re so stressed and shaken it’s like! losing your sense of self and feeling like you’ve become a monster is horror. and i’m sooooo glad she leaned into it

STORY TIME ^^

When I went to meet my puppo's litter we were asked to pick our preferred two and the breeder would match us up based on the pup's personality/our lifestyle/overall vibe.

I spent over an hour hanging with these puppies and I couldn't really decide between two of the boys (I was going to choose one and my partner would choose another). Right when it was time for us to leave I picked up each of the boys one last time. Walter had been asleep up until this point and he wasn't really on my radar. I scooped him up while he was snoozing, he opened his eyes slightly, then widened them in excitement, then gave me the wiggliest sweetest licks on the face.

Made the mistake on my first ever play-through of naming the characters after my friends and housemates...

My dumb ass thinks I can play Darkest Dungeon where the game explicitly tells you that the characters are supposed to be used like pawns, but I'm the kind of person that feels awful when I lose even a single Pikmin.

Me if I were a Pokemon: (Soularva) --> (Clidolon)

Soularva: Soul + Larva Clidolon: Clione + Eidolon

Classification: The Ethereal Pokemon Height: 8" || 2'3" Type: Ghost/Fairy

Evolves via learning the move 'Haunting Embrace': The user hugs the foe, binding them and draining them for up to 3 turns. 20% damage is done each turn to the foe, while the user is restored by the same amount.

The damage doubles if used on a foe that is weak to its type, but only on the first turn.

When these Pokemon were first discovered, those who sighted them noted how ethereal they looked floating in the deep dark waters. Their glow soft and otherworldly, it was almost hypnotic. These Pokemon aren't often seen.

Where you see swarms of Soularva, there is at least 1 Clidolon nearby. These Pokemon live deep in the ocean where it is cold and dark, as a result their bodies emit a soft ethereal light and warmth to see each other from afar as well as to communicate at a distance with others of their kind and locate Soularva if lost. The warmth of the light keeps Soularva comfortable and is quite soothing. The light is fueled by the spirits Clidolon have drained from their foes and meals.

Clidolon and Soularva are a docile yet skittish Pokemon species, but will fight back when necessary for survival. Clidolon dons a protrusion on their head which resembles a crown, this protrusion will glow a bright and ominous coral color when defensive. A set of extra horns will grow upon their head, when these horns are grown in they will lengthen all of them before attacking. They will latch on to an enemy and slowly drain their spirit. This is also how they feed.

Soularva are encased in a special shell or pod, this helps to keep them extra secure and safe, although it is still quite fragile. Sometimes a Soularva will be seen with a crack in its casing, a rare survivor of a close encounter.
