Knock out is a high class/noble mech, but he still joined the Decepticons. He joined because his creators wouldn't allow his relationship with a low class mech (Breakdown).

So far they are the only couple who has not been split up by the war.

I mean, his creator's reactions were kind of understandable because when the war started, Knock Out was a teenager.

It's like your 16 year old daughter decides to run away from home to get with a delinquent.

Thankfully Sparkplug eventually found Slip charming in a way, and they eventually formed a strong friendship, breaking trends of the past.

Bee or King Vespae is trying his best to be taken seriously. However most people still see him as prince bumblebee, the little guy that would hide under his father’s cape, the same guy who’s still asking his mother to help him run things. Even as he tries to stay serious, figures from his past show up to make his job harder.
