is there like an alterhuman identity where you identify as the thing so kinda like synpath but also kind of like otherhearted but instead of fully being or identifying with the thing, it’s like identifying as a version of it? like a fairly close version but not exactly the same

bc ive been on the fence about my fictiontypes and if theyre synpaths or hearttypes and like. ive been using synpath for one and hearttype for another but ughhhh lemme think for a second

this is gonna be a pretty weird kind of post for me because i never figured i would do an entire coming out on tumblr, but unexpected things happen and life is unpredictable like that sometimes.

i just wanna say that i am angelkin and spacekin (or some variety of spacekin) and that ive been thinking about this for longer than i would like to admit. in the past i was always like "people identifying as non human? weird." but i honestly think it was mostly my own shame about being otherkin. it's nothing to be ashamed of but part of me still feels this weird sensation of guilt about coming out with this. maybe it's just how i was raised, idk.

i think its going to take awhile to truly accept what i am but i know that with time, i will. and i wanna do it while becoming more of a part of the community. you all seem so kind and understanding and really thats all i can ask for.

sorry if this post is messy or confusing, im still figuring everything out and i just wanna get my thoughts out there instead of stuck in my head.

Local Starkin’s ramble about humanity

This is something I think about a lot but I struggle to piece together cohesive sentences about it so I apologise if anything is patchy or doesn’t make sense. I’m also a little anxious to be otherkin posting but I’m gonna do it anyway, so if you find otherkin cringe please DNI or just ignore this post !

But anyway, with that out of the way, as the title says, I’m starkin, and whilst I know I am not physically a star right now, I do believe I used to be one and I hope to return one day ! This is something personal to me so I’m unsure how to label it.

Nonetheless I digress from the topic at hand, humanity is so.. interesting.

I love humans, I love their little quirks, I love human joy. I love seeing human unity. I love seeing the little human touch on things, I like seeing things that are tattered or run down, like tattered plushies, because it shows they are loved. Particularly for things such as plushies too because they are an object often so personal.

I love seeing the littler things, I love seeing their eye wrinkles crease when excited or their little stims and fidgets. I am a rather observant person (likely influenced by the fact I’m autistic) and so I tend to pick up on these littler things, but they feel so.. human, and so personal. (Is it obvious people watching is a hobby of mine?) And I absolutely adore that, each and every human is unique and has their own “thing” that makes them.. them.

Being human is.. nice in its own right, it feels peculiar to have flesh, to have five fingers, to have to breathe or eat and so on. To feel my shoulders physically sink after I exhale, or to feel my eyelids grow heavy, two very different sensations but.. nice.

It’s.. nice (I need a synonym for nice at this point), because I get to be here. (Though interestingly I think I may have had some sort of humanoid form alongside a not-so human form?)

I get to breathe in the air at night whilst watching the sky— my home, I get to breathe in the ocean air, I get to have my friends. I get to view things from a different perspective, one that in spite of everything allows me to appreciate the smaller things.

If I was not human now, I would not be able to have them. And whilst I miss my home, I miss my fellow stars, I miss the sky, I miss the stardust, I miss a lot about what used to be.

My friends, music and oddly enough, sour gummies, make up for it.

(I have a ramble about Earth as a whole in mind too..)

From the stars I came and back there I’ll go.
