you’re gonna need this bad boy for the soup 😌 pork belly is the best imo, it’s so tender and flavorful, and the acidity cuts through the fat well! when we filipinos go abroad for extended periods of time, we literally bring a bunch with us and sometimes just mix it with hot water to have a taste of home 😭

ooh!! duly noted!! my mom uses that brand's onion powder mix to make onion burgers, and they're DELICIOUS

this is sinigang! a lot don’t find the image of it appetizing but hoo-BOY they’re missing out 😌 it’s a staple in filipino cuisine and can be commonly found in filipino restaurants i think heh. although homemade by mom is usually the best, and it varies in every household! like some put different types of veg, some like it with beef or shrimp or chicken! but it’s always that signature sour savory goodness mmmmm. dee-lish. best part? literally just boil everything together, it isn’t hard to make and voila you got a dish with protein and veg! best eaten with plain rice 😌😌

it’s a soup with a tamarind based flavor! sour and savory goodness filled with vegetables and meat of your choice (i personally love pork belly best)! look it up ☺️☺️ like that soup with rice? yeah, the best comforting meal
