ok so: the umbrella academy except it’s about the hargreeves siblings in 40 years when five is a very, very old man but really in his early 50’s while the rest of the siblings are senior citizens whom five has to take care of against his will

this is my entire stance on the "american food is bad" discourse summed up
#there are two distinct times when american food is bad#when it's people who are well off or rich enough that all they care about is appearances and how expensive the ingredients are#bcs they don't care about taste anymore it's a status thing#and also when it's stupid gentrified gimmick restaurants basically following the Cesare from Big Top Burger formula#where it doesn't matter how it tastes#it's just about it looking cool or having a gimmick so influences will come take pictures and give you tons of free advertising#that's when american food is bad#bcs rip to y'all but I grew up dirt fucking poor around other dirt fucking poor people of all races and backgrounds#and we COULD cook y'all under the table with these things#when all you have for food is hamburger helper and canned soup well damn you learn how to make it taste good#also those two bad times are NOT unique to america AT ALL#remember the Australian fish and chips that had activated charcoal and looked like actual shit?#this ain't an american problem this is a fucking rich people problem send tweet#this is also why I can't watch chopped anymore#the way they talk about ingredients like those like they're worthless and they can't believe people would eat them#like cool glad you grew up well off enough to afford real people food#the rest of us had to learn to make velveeta taste good and you know what#I could cook your ass under the table with velveeta and all those other 'cheap' ingredients you're mocking

with the leaks to the 2nd to last chapter out can I just ask that we hold off on criticism of whoever until the last chapter is officially out? I know it's asking a lot

sure! these are butternut squash plants that get very large outside. I know these plants come from the same squash as the fullsized ones outside because i used seeds i saved from soup. So it can't be a cultivar seed package mixup

i just remembered how messed up the ovid telling of hades and persephone is . god
#theres no consent#persephones last words before being dragged into the earth are calling for her mother#iirc aphrodite was mad that persephone wanted to stay a virgin and she didnt want the ternal virgin list to expand#so she deliberately made hades smitten to which he fully kidnapped her#when i was younger i read about gaea not liking demeter? and working with hades to lure persephone down#and persephone was starving down in the underworld she was despairing until she heard of her mother again#theres the disney themed version of controlling parents and happy peaceful willful love#but theres also the horrifying picture of petty jealousy tearing a child from their parent and hurting that innocent child#i feel like since hades usually takes the backseat they arent talked of so often and its easier to draw an appealing interpretation#but oh man its screwed up#it really does run in the family#what if she really did just wanna hang out with her mom n her friends and pick flowers what then#and now shes running a country called dead people ville#auugu#soup talk

#his character arc from goofy tall guy to Don’t Talk To Me Or My Friends Ever Again is WILD#hershel’s octonauts au#octonauts gups#in all seriousness this scene is based off of the concept of lars making his way onto the ship#caleb and beast both want him DEAD dead#also to explain emma:#she gained a genuine phobia from the trauma of her experience with lars and has nightmares about him like. 3 times a week#bundle that info with the fact that caleb and emma are quite close and badda bam you have the scene#technically speaking emma did ask for no pickles. she asked to not Be the pickles.#i’m normal about these two specifically i need to study their friendship under a microscope#to ramble about caleb for a second sorry-#he had enough soup before his death for the effects to. well. take effect. and he gained a rather mild form of amnesia but still Amnesia#he doesn’t fully remember darwin but knows in his heart that darwin is important to him so he stays near them when possible#(as a result from the trauma of being murdered) he sometimes has moments where he Shuts Down#but he’ll still try to be close to any of his friends ; though those moments bring him closer to emma because she’s usually the one to#guide him when he does that (she does it too)#he wants lars dead because he’s being angry ‘on behalf’ of darwin and emma his two favourite people in the world#obviously thats not really how it works but that’s what he feels is going on#’if not me then who’ type of situation with this guy yk.#also ALSO one time he absolutely destroyed felix because he found out that he’s been manipulating emma so there’s also that#caleb is VERY protective about emma actually. most of the time it’s unnecessary honestly#it only really becomes useful against the other spirits or against lars#like in the picture !! woah it comes full circle i know right#thats my cue to post the thing . sighs . caleb i love you don’t let lars hurt anyone else
