9:00 AM - 12:30 PM: they did their jobs, kind of. mickey announced ian's birthday to everyone they spoke to and also groped him at every stoplight 🤭

12:30 PM: they "went to lunch" 😉

1:15 PM: they actually went to lunch, stopping at ian's favorite food truck for some treats 🌭🍦

4:30 PM: mickey's gonna decide that jobs no longer exist on birthdays and take ian home 🥳

5:00 PM: they will smoke a joint by the pool and have a cannonball contest 😎 mickey will let ian win bc it's his birthday, but ian will insist he won on his own merit bc his splash was genuinely bETTER, MICKEY 💦

Given the recent Stephanie Beatriz comments about Vaggie, what do you think will happen? Like, in another interview she had long ago, she mentioned Vaggie's bow being a hint to her arc. And also just the fact that outside of her Exorcist past, we know nothing about her backstory or even the lore of Exorcist Angels themselves. Also, I don't know if you noticed but Vaggie was the only angel among Adam and the Exorcists to have a single stripe on her wing, before and after she was abandoned.

I just rewatched that interview , they talk about the bow around 5:45, (fun fact I was able to find it from one of your old posts) and while it's a fun bit of info, I don't really have any theories about what it could mean atm. We'll see!

Honestly, we have so little info on what will happen in season 2 and even less after that, so I don't really have theories about Vaggie's potential arc yet. I am just glad to know things will be addressed.

Ended up a bit long, so I am putting it under a cut, but TLDR: Vaggie is the only exorcist with only one black stripe on her wings, and I think it's a deliberate design choice. After that, I share a few thoughts/theories about what it could mean and about Vaggie's potential backstory in general as well!

I noticed the stripes! I think I actually have a post I started about it in my drafts, but since you mentioned it I ll talk about it here!

We see many exorcists during flashbacks and the final battle, but still Vaggie remains the only one to have 1 black stripe on her wings instead of 2. It's such a deliberate design choice, it can't be by accident. You could say it's for easier animation, but if that really was the case, it would make sense for Lute to have only one stripe as well, given we see her wings (both in-use and relaxed) more than Vaggie's in season one.

I am not sure what it could mean tbh, but it has to mean something. My one idea is that she is different from the rest of the exorcists, being that the others are Heavenborn and she isn't. Or the reverse. Would explain why she didn't even hesitate to hurt and even kill the other exorcists in the finale battle, if she was an outcast among them even in Heaven.

I ve seen theories for both arguments, but I personally think Vaggie did have a human life before becoming an exorcist. One "proof" (if you could even call it that) I have is in her trading card design.

It's hard to see, but on the upper right corner there are eyes just staring at her in the background.

This was a motif used for her in the pre- pilot days, it shows up in multiple artworks about her. From what I could find it's a reference to her old backstory, (when she was a sinner who took her own life) but I couldn't really find on exact source on what they represent/represented back then.

Given it's something that was used in the context of her old backstory, this motif still being present for her could hint at parts of her old lore still being canon.

You could make the argument that it's a reference to her past as an exorcist, and the eyes represent her victims, and honestly, I could see that being the case as well!

It's not a proof more like an opinion, but I think Vaggie as a character had an extended backstory that developed over many years, and even if she was changed to be an exorcist I don't think it has to mean that all that (potiental) backstory of her human life was thrown away.

She could have had a human life even she is not aware of atm, beacase she lost her memory (and by lost I mean it was forcibly erased in Heaven. If exorcists are human souls it would make sense for them to have their memory wiped, so they wouldnt hesitate even if their target in Hell is someone they knew on Earth) so her rediscovering it and finding out about her past, or even meeting someone she knew, would be a great premise fo a future arc for her in the show.

I don't really have a way to end this lol, in any case I am super excited about her upcoming storyline in the future seasons and I ll be thinking about what Stephanie could have meant by saying the bow represents her arc till season 2 comes out.

instead of being a funny situation that you'll be telling your friends about for years to come, nicotine-induced impotence!higuruma is one big downer unfortunately. his smoking is definitely tied to the stress of his job and how burnt out he feels by it and the system, all of which bleeds into his personal life and it's hard to know if he can't get it up bc of the smoking or bc of his depression (or some larger medical condition that he's too unmotivated to see a doctor about).

he's tried to give up smoking, but all it takes is one long 14-hour day (of which there are many) to have him crawling into bed beside you in the early hours of the morning smelling like stale cigarettes. you don't ever press him about it, knowing that ultimately the decision to quit needs to be his and his alone.

but no matter how much you assure him that you understand how hard it is to give up an addiction, he can't help but let the cynicism that's begun to fester inside of him lash out.

"you want me to quit, don't you?" he asks unprompted over dinner. it's the first night in a while that he's been off work early enough that you can actually share dinner together and you suggested going out to the restaurant around the corner -- one that has an ashtray at every table.

"yes, I wish you would quit," you answer, glancing at the cigarette perched between his index and middle fingers. "but I wish for a lot of things that are out of my control. I wish it would stop raining so much. I wish we could win the lottery. you'll quit when you're ready and I'll be there to help you."

the sincerity in your eyes is too much for him and he takes a long drag from his cigarette. your sincerity is wasted on a world as corrupt and unjust as this one.

it's wasted on a man like him.

"really? you don't miss getting fucked?" he continues, unable to quell the urge to keep pushing you.

"hiromi!" you snap, looking around to make sure that no one heard him. thankfully the restaurant is busy enough that no one is paying you any attention.

"are you embarrassed that your partner can't get it up? you keep saying it doesn't bother you." in fact, you've said it on many occasions, but always in soft reassurances whispered into his ear as you hold him close from behind. you've never said it with as much derision as he says it now.

"I'm embarrassed about discussing our sex life in public," you hiss angrily. you then close your eyes and take a deep breath, paying no mind to higuruma's secondhand smoke that fills the space between you.

when you meet his gaze again, he can see the slight sheen to your eyes. it seems like he's finally pushed you far enough.

"I can't keep having this same fight over and over again, hiromi," you tell him, your shoulders sagging under the weight of your resignation. "I tell you that I don't mind the long hours or the smoking or the intimacy issues or this self-destructive spiral that you're in and you continue to doubt me at every turn."

you pause to let out a heavy sigh, and when you next speak, your voice breaks.

"I love you. why can't you just let me?"

it's a question he doesn't know the answer to. it's one that he refuses to have the answer to.

all he can do is bring his cigarette to his lips and take another long inhale.

Like hello- I love that sm that he escapes from Nightmare and works on himself and finds peace, and is able to be with the people he loves and cares about, and moves away from being a tool/machine rather than being considered just that, not only by the public multiverse. But also what he considered himself because of the conditioning he had to go through, that emotions are unnecessary or, everything he does is in the eyes of Nightmare. WHEN HE HAS A CHOICE AND HE GETS THAT EVENTUALLY.

And it makes me so happy to see that.

While I do like seeing some fanon interpretations where Killer is a very silly, chaotic, murderous skele, and is happy with Nightmare and the rest of the gang, if it were to be a Dadmare setting.

And when it comes to most ships and stuff I'll hear you out, platonic or romantic ships. EXCEPT FOR KILLERMARE- no tank u- no matter how that one is- you do you- but not my thing thank youuuuuu

I don't like the hypersexualizing to the point like Killer wants to have sex with everyone- or that he would like sexually assault people. I don't think that's ever in range for his character, Canon, or Fanon-

But. I feel if people did portray him as hypersexual- then there is ways to do it, so he isn't just going around and being a total asshole to people if that makes sense-

she and Frank will be co-workers, working within either a high school or college (tbh I’m not too sure which I wanna do yet so really TBD).

I plan on having some kind of established relationship there. Maybe she is Mary’s old teacher, or she used to be friends with Franks sister/childhood best friends, etc. just because I cannnot leave the established relationship trope alone lol I love it sm!

Frank will definitely be teaching philosophy again!

Frank will definitely also be a tortured soul. I’m thinking that it may still have to do with the throes of raising Mary, maybe as Mary grows up to be Diane’s age around when she passed— or some sense of Mary’s development causing friction btwn Reader and Frank (just not too sure yet)!

Franks mom will also have something to say about it.

Overall though, it’s a story about reader and Frank, reader who has gone through her own sense of trauma— and how these two people learn to love again or be vulnerable with other people again!

Not so rigid or logical, but genuinely emotional and connecting with each other.

That’s all I have so far but I’m thinking I need something else to pizazz or thicken the plot!! I’d love to talk more about it if you have anything in particular that you would love to read about these two :)

I’m fucking obsessed with mac n ketchup Stan I require all the lore

C/W for multiple triggering themes ie arson, sui ideation and thoughts, family drama, s/h, alcoholism, ableism, all that not so fun stuff

AAAA okay so, basically spoilers, this is loosely based on an RP my fiancé and I have been doing since January of 2023, and this AU was insoired by the ocs we created in that, so in the MNK AU, Kyle had met this woman, Grace, in college and married her despite Sheila not liking her, but Kyle was in a “grr I’m a grown man, Ma, I know what I’m doing” and married her anyways (I know this isn’t stan but it plays into Stan’s character); so Sherri is born, and Kyle, Yknow, works and has his emotional shaky relationship with his mom, and Sherri was actually named after Sharon, who Kyle went to mostly because he was like “oh shit idk how to be a parent what have I done”. Naturally, he turns to his SBF to be the designated baby sitter.

Stan fell in love with Sherri from the moment he first held her, and was a Godfather at first. Now Stan, in this au, thought he was bi for the longest time, but once he hit like 20 he realized that maybe, just maybe, he leaned more toward one field than the other. He’s also demisexual, and agender, but uses he/him to keep things simple, just fyi. He talks to Wendy because, especially after experiencing Sherri for the first year, he wanted a baby of his own, so Wendy was a surrogate mother for his son, Nathan.

Now for more STAN background, in the au, he is on the autism spectrum, like that’s a BIG part of his character in the RP and in this AU, so things weren’t easy for him as a neurodivergent person, so he did struggle a lot in social situations and in school, and there was a time where he and Kyle kinda drifted apart.

The event of Tegridy farm burning down IS canon here, and Stan DOES have PTSD from it, in a unique way. The man is OBSESSED with fire but also is a pyrophobe due to the event. In this AU it was kinda more so an accident, because he STARTED the action as a reaction to his intrusive and depressive thoughts BUT as the flames grew stronger and taller, he heard Shelley calling for help from the barn and instead of like- waiting for help and all that and letting her possibly die, Stan actually runs into the flames and rescues her BUT almost gets trapped himself.

It gets deemed as a wild fire incident (Randy blames Stan but SP P.D. Isn’t the smartest and doesn’t wanna deal with Randy), and Shelley and Stan have matching burn scars on their legs. Stan also suffered a HUGE asthma attack from both the smoke and the weed in the air, enough for him to have nightmares to come where he failed to save Shelley/got trapped in the flames (Sharon’s cries for her babies haunts him).

Anyways, fast forward to about Junior/Senior year of college (Tegridy burning down was Jr. high, Freshman year was Randy and Sharon’s divorce, Randy got custody of the kids bi weekly on the weekends because of course the system failed the kids), Crimson Dawn gets back together, legit, starting off as a cover band, and Stan and Kyle’s friendship is somewhat repaired by this time, Stan is still on and off with Wendy.

So, they graduate HS, go to college, Kyle meets Grace and impulsively gets married just to prove a point to Sheila and Gerald (who OBVIOUSLY favor Ike, not really, but Kyle FEELS like that’s the case), Kyle doesn’t talk to Sheila for a hot minute, Grace gets knocked up, and Kyle’s like “oh shit oh fuck oh shit”, turns to Sharon for help, yada yada.

Now Grace is a very head strong and independent woman, and she values her skillset and career choice (fashion designer) above almost all else and she’s almost never home, Kyle’s stuck with the baby and is stressing with college courses and work and his non existent relationship with his mom.

Stan can pretty much only help with one of those things, so he sets up play dates with Sherri and Nate, and supports his SBF best he can (while also running away from his own emotional problems, because he’s Stan and he’s stubborn)

Skip a few years, and Grace gets knocked up (again), still the same old Grace, so now Kyle’s juggling work, lack of familial relationship, AND two kids, except Godfather Stan is right at his side the whole time.

By the time Sherri is 5-6, Nate is 4-5, and Spencer is about 3, Grace basically chooses to pursue her job in New York over staying with Kyle, and even the kids.

Stan, of course, steps up and continues to raise the kids on the side while Kyle is dealing with this woman that he believed would be compatible with someone like him, Kyle and Grace get divorced (it’s not pretty), and Kyle slowly realizes “oh my god the partner I’m looking for is right next to me”. Because all he wanted was for someone to accept him and his kids, and who’s done that the entire time? Stan.

Now, back to more Stan focused: Stan brings the kids to the studio a lot and plays music for them, but that also means that the kids (Sherri especially) have seen some of Stan’s worse moments. He never really SNAPS per se, but he does have moments where they (she) can tell he’s not really ALL THERE.

Stan always struggled with something, whether it was alcohol, or some form of s/h, ranging from avoiding sleep, to punching walls (or himself), but he never does it in front of the kids; Sherri, unfortunately, is observant as Hell. So is Spencer, both of which are ATTACHED to Stan like duct tape, so they end up telling Kyle “hey, I know you’re going through a thing but maybe you and Daddy/Stada can help each other out (Spencer calls Stan “Stada”), so then it becomes like a counselor/boyfriend relationship from Kyle to Stan, and Stan’s broken mindset finally gets the attention it deserves.

Stan has had a record of “spacing out” when pyrotech goes off on stage, and this is one of the first triggers Kyle makes note off, after a concert that takes place near Stan’s birthday, about a year after they get together, which inspires Kyle and the kids to get him an emotional support dog, a girl Swiss Shepard named Zappy, named a little after Sparky. In the AU, Sparky had a little lightning bolt on his paw pad, and so does Zappy, so it’s believed that Zappy is a reincarnation of Sparky. Stan keeps her close to try and keep himself grounded, especially in crowds. She’s often back stage during concerts just in case.

And that’s all I can think of off the top of my head. That and Stan’s shoulder injury in this AU came from him rescuing Shelley in the barn, one of the pillars fell and slammed into it, hard enough to dislocate it. Also, another fun fact, Stan bleached his hair once in HS, and later, Sherri helps him bleach it a second time.

Stan also helped Kyle reconnect with his parents, AFTER they get married; Sheila got to meet her grandkids, and Kyle and his parents have a decent relationship, at least in good enough terms to talk to each other again.

Kyle took Stan’s last name in their marriage as he wasn’t in good terms with his parents again YET, and Stan ended up adopting Kyle’s kids legally and also changing their last names.

After losing so many people in fromville, and not being able to take their bodies back, visiting a grave seems almost... Wrong.

But it's Jade, and it's his grandma, and you want to honor her memory, so you go. And when you arrive, you both arrange the flowers on her grave, and sit down in front of it.

What gets you more emotional isn't how Jade is telling her about everything that happened - it's how he is so happy to have gotten through it with you, and survived.

At some point, you both go back home. And when you do, he does the same - he talks to the picture of Tian-Chen right there, on the table you got in a corner of the living room, with incense and a bowl for food offerings.

He tells her how the trip went, and how he was sure his grandma would love to meet her.

I feel like I've hallucinated a fanfic. It was a giyuushino one, modern-au. Kanae and Shinobu owned a clinic for kids. Giyuu was the estranged son of a rich, crime family. Giyuushino had kids together, and they were slowly getting back together. I can't even remember what website it was on lol. If you have any idea what it is, I'd appreciate it!

It's all because of Buddie. If you replaced Tommy with Eddie, all of their complaints would disappear, even if every word of the script stayed the same.

Tommy is a downer...Eddie is sarcastic.

Tommy is predatory...Eddie is kinky.

We all know without a doubt, Buddie stans would eat up the scenes with no changes except the character.

And no one baited them. Ryan said Eddie is heterosexual. Oliver said he didn't want to do a story where a newly bi man sought out their best friend. Both made it clear Buddie, is currently and with no plans of changing it, just a very close friendship.

If the theory of Velvette developing a lustful obsession with Vaggie in S2 turns out to be true, how do you think it'll play out?

Since the other Vees have someone from the hotel they have some sort of connection to already (Vox with Alastor and Valentino with Angel) it would make sense for Velvette to have someone like that as well.

I could see it being either of two ways: be it Vaggie or Charlie herself.

I am more partial to it being Charlie and Velvette becoming her rival/nemesis since Lute kinda has a similar role in Vaggie's story already.

In that scenario, I can see Velvette making moves or even just straight up hitting on Vaggie, with the intention to make Charlie mad, for example. But if I want to be angsty, maybe it could start like that and develop into genuine feelings later?

Or if she won't have that connection with someone from the hotel, I can still see her trying to get to Vaggie, but in an effort to annoy Carmilla then.

They were clearly established to not like each other (to put it mildly lol) in episode 3, especially Respectless, and with Vaggie and Carmilla having been confirmed (source) to have interactions in the coming season, and possibly grow closer, it would be a way for Velvette to annoy/anger Carmilla.

I can also see her viewing it as a "two birds with one stone" situation, by targeting Vaggie, she can get to both Carmilla and Charlie as well. We'll see!
