idea: six of crows, but each plot starts by them acting like literal crows.

examples:

finding something shiny in the dirt that sends them on a quest

people thinking the dregs are a bad omen and doing something that causes bad stuff to actually happen

a crow singing loudly and distracting/scaring someone else, causing a chain reaction

making a tool and getting into trouble with it

mating for life & holding funerals (yes crows hold funerals)

Tulsa, Oklahoma was the place to be in 1967 — there were pretty girls, a family bond like no other, and a rivalry that seeped into everyone’s bloodline by nature. In the midst of the summer, both the Socs and Greasers were itching to get their hands on something to do; the movies were getting repetitive and the beer only tasted good the first fifty times they were drank.

The Greasers were the outcasts from the West Side of Tulsa. They slicked their hair back with grease, wore ragged clothes, shotgunned beer like no other, and enjoyed the thrill of being in trouble.

The Socs, short for Socialites, were quite the opposite. They got their kicks from beating on the Greasers, throwing huge parties at their parent’s houses, and showing off the clothes they were wearing that were fully funded by their father’s paycheck.

Being apart of either group meant something different, but it all inevitably fell back on being a pack. The Greasers loved each other like siblings and would fight for each other like their lives depended on it, while the Socs considered themselves as mere acquaintances hated to see other Socs get mixed up with the Greasers.

In this Discord group roleplay, you will have the option to insert canon characters from the book (using their musical adaptation faceclaim or movie faceclaim), or create your very own character to slum it with either group. Both types of characters are heavily encouraged, though we always need canon characters. :)

PLEASE NOTE: This is an advanced literate to novella roleplay, meaning only folks that have those styles of writing will be welcome to apply; you must send an example of your writing in order to be approved to join the crew. This is only to ensure that you meet the writing requirement. There will be many channels to simply text as your character, but a roleplay element will be incorporated, as well.
