I just saw an idea of a wesper rom-com book, and let me tell you, I NEED THATTTT, like Wylan and Jesper need their own novella at this point

"If my uncle's club isn't friendly to dogs, then he ought to be ashamed of himself." Vesper grinned. "He's a werewolf himself and so are most of the security. So as long as this friend can get along with wolves, he'll be fine. The whole point of the place is for everyone to be comfortable in their own skin, but they don't have to show it off if they don't want to." She explained before happily sipping at her little spicy drink.

Wylan nodded in agreement. "Literally any sort of inhuman is welcome. Some humans can go in, of course. They just have to come with someone who isn't. It's just sort of a security measure to try and keep hunters out. Of course if they are regular enough, they can probably get in on their own, but they just have to be trusted enough is all. They don't hate mundanes by any means." He shrugged. "I'm as close to mundane as they come, being a witch. Never even questioned me."

"Well, my cousin is human, but her dad is the owner and her other dad runs the bar. She's really the only mundane there all the time, but she was raised around all of it, so most of us tend to not think of her that way." Vesper added in. "Most of the patrons trust her like they would her dad. She's more than earned it."

"Oh, don't I know it?" Bill said, "I've seen that kind of stupid shit for centuries, and you'd think humans would have learned by now."

It always baffled Bill that he was so much older than a lot of the ignorant people out there and yet he had embraced every change and bit of knowledge he got as they came.

But perhaps that was just more to with personality rather than age. Some chose to remain ignorant even with all the information they could possibly want.

"But most of the people I know aren't that way, even towards other mundanes," Bill added, "But the secret is safe with me. I'll look forward to visiting."

But then he grinned.

"Oh really? A good guess on my part," Bill said, "Hopefully it'll taste just as good as it looks to you too. To be honest, that's the one I tend to go to when I'm told to surprise a customer. It tends to be a hit."

But then a thought occurred to Bill.

"Is this club friendly towards dogs?" Bill then asked, "You see, one of my friends who I was thinking of inviting is a dog who can turn into a human. What I'm saying is that he does have the same sapience and knowledge of a human, so he knows how to behave even in his true form."

Heck, the dog in question behaved better than himself most of the time.

"So would he be all right to show up even if he did want to be in his true form for a bit?"

Actually the main reason Wylan let himself get beat up isn't to make it more believable it's actually because he wanted to prove to his father that he was more than a stupid kid because even after everything he went through he still desired his father to see his worth in any twisted way possible.
