actually. the specific phrasing that boy Kevin wants to kill older Kevin with "I must disassemble him, piece by piece, so that everything inside of the Old Kevin comes out. Only then can the New Kevin truly begin." is so incredibly the idea that to heal from trauma and "improve" you have to destroy every "wrong" part of yourself, that everything "tainted" by it has to somehow be replaced by something untouched (which isn't possible)
#reading back that phrasing I do think that'll be the way brinknor takes it#this arcs seeming like it'll be so. breaking the cycle of abuse and violence and coming to terms with yourself#and maybe understanding that you can never remove the parts of you impacted by trauma and start again completely ''pure''#but you can treat yourself with the kindness you should've been given#which i hope it is that because. and understand i am biased. but i'd love that direction for Kevin#it feels much more satisfying than any more. angsty way this arc could go imo#like he's been through enough!#because of the way Kevin is portrayed in fanon. not as frequently anymore but still pretty common. Maybe I’m stupid (likely) but I feel like Gojo resembling Toji in his battle with Megumi!Sukuna is trying to show that he is a paternal figure in Megumi’s life. Like the two different sides of Megumi’s male paternal figures (or I guess the two most consistent male adult figures in Megumi’s life)??? I don’t buy that Gojo was a father figure for Tsumiki and Megumi (to me he was more like Spencer from ICarly lmao) but like…i feel like the outfit similarity is trying to say something about their relationship on a familial or paternal scale…but im too dumb to fully phrase this how i want so maybe just ponder on this for me hahaha

"i hated owen for all/most of s1 i only started liking him in s2" weak. i liked owen since he got choked against a wall by an angry woman and then told her he wanted to shag her immediately afterwards. and then even more when he spent ep3 trying to intimidate and murder a rapist
#txt#torchwood posting#owen in the pilot? trash. but i tend to think ep3 was his comeuppance#anyway i was biased goin into tw but nonetheless. i loved him near immediately#i was like oh hermann from pr but hes a mean shitty little twink ohh???#oh hes fucked up! oh he has murder in his eyes and hes crying! oh im obsessed! and it spiraled from there#which is usually how it goes#sigh#but yeah ep3 was when i rllyyyy started to love owen#the obsession. the vigilantism. going against jack's orders.#that one shot where gwen looks at him and he looks dangerous#i think what got me was in ep1 we see torchwood broke suzie and pushed her to kill#so seeing that a second torchwood member was also at that point only two eps later#it was like ohhhhh. ohhh thats whats going on here#and then it's amplified like the end of s1 is just owen spiraling so hard he almost destroys the world. and it was fucking fantastic#even if the cgi was bad lmfao#s1s character arcs all have to do with exploring how that life breaks people. esp ppl who were already broken. as we find out in s2e12#& owen's the best example he's sooo fucking mentally ill and self destructive and toxic and miserable and he means the fucking world to me#and then they threw it all away in s2 to make him palatable 😒#but thats a me problem. i do luv s2 owen just in a diff way#and im v fond of the undead arc#but s1 owen just hits diff for me. burn played him as a scared little boy and it rlly rlly shows#sss

i played the remastered alan wake a while back and am replaying the original on steam, and, honestly, they’re so similar, I couldn’t tell which is which if you held up comparisons. ive come across reviews about the game looking outdated and bad (mostly compared to other releases in that time), but the original looks great and I like the hazy dark lighting for both this and awan
#might delete#I can’t wait to run into all the product placements#like yeah I know it’s not. top graphics of that year. but I’ve stopped and looked at the environment So many times. it’s pretty!#this is because im biased but I *loved* AWANs choice of scenery. although I wish it was as detailed and expansive as the original games#all of remedy’s games do pretty great in terms of the environment. ignore controls terrible map and the Oldest House is an incredible space#to navigate just by following signs and all the little details. the atmosphere!#don’t even need to explain how aw2 is good with that#but even Max Payne 1 has this beautiful eerie quality where everything is this fever dream of grungy or old environments#even before the literal nightmare sequence it felt like navigating a dream of this Not New York City. like of course it’s likely born from#the limitations the developers had when making it. but the emptiness and placement of npcs added to the experience#QB so far is my least favorite in its style and environment but it’s still had some good moments. the use of flashbacks + time overlapping#onto abandoned and destroyed environments was genius. the college campus itself and the train(?) cargo(?) area was neat to go through#there’s some really good stuff there! *im also. not done with QB so im still hoping things get more wild!!#im honestly more forgiving of QB as a whole and find it interesting since it went through a lot of hell in its development#this might seem negative but it’s not! it’s a shockingly beautiful game. graphics exceed expectations#the style and some locations is where it’s more boring for me. but still good. im so tempted to buy it on steam to finally finish it#endless apologies if u opened this and ur entire page opened up an essays worth of tags

#i can understand saying he was bad to Jay#but he did that to Tim for pretty logical reasons#also if my little sister was like “DADS ALIVE UR CRAZY” after my dad VERY CLEARLY DIED and I WAS LEFT IN CHARGE#I would NOT believe her#The thing is#He never wanted to be batman and was put in a VERY tough situation.#and yeah he had to make some hard choices. that doesnt make him a bad person#ppl kinda overlook dicks struggles sometimes i think and write him as this cocky or arrogant guy#hes not. a lot of his comics delve into his guilt or fears#he has eldest daughter syndrome#hes terrified of failure and he tries to keep everyone together#so no im sorry maybe im biased but i dont blame him for not following tim during the batman arc#if he had gone with tim that would have been it for him. he had to be strong and keep the 4 of them together and if he believed in bruce he#would have lost his mind. at least thats what i think#keep in mind dick is still young. he may be the oldest but he is still a victim of things that much older ppl have done to him#and hes still only in his 20s#and he experienced some insane things as a child and had to make some heavy heavy choices at young ages#hes not mentally sound despite what some ppl say#none of them are

how did sonic superstars get nominated for best family game at the game awards while sonic frontiers, an infinitely better sonic game, got nothing this year or last year aside from the players voice nomination .... also they nominated mario and a few other games for like 500 different categories while only one category had a sonic related thing AND they let genshin impact back in AGAIN........ do you think the game awards are specifically designed to torture sonic fans . whatever sonic frontiers game of the year to ME.

sometimes it hits me that like. there is a pretty valid reason calling kiryu a granddad despite that being literally true feels Weird to me. and that’s the fact that. oh yeah. haruka has a baby at fuckin 19-20 years old. meaning kiryu is a granddad before he’s even 50.

I may or may not have started a project that will probably overwhelming me...
#by the time that copper tower completely ages i should have prepared everything...#the tall pallete is for the fantasy towers i will build on a windswept mountain next to my base#the small pallete is for the entire village#i dont get why most minecraft players hate the new bamboo blocks.. they're pretty!!#a bit biased because I use bamboo for my little Filipino hut as a main base#but really there's so much to bamboo people are probably missing on... it works well with cherry. blackstone. warped and crimson. mud bricks#and there's so much variety you get from crafting bamboo blocks as well...#BUT YEAH this is my first minecraft project and tbh i am scared 😂 but ey... been wanting to do this for the longest time...#my last village didn't quite do well... now im determined to make this work...#this is gonna be a big task as i cant build redstone machines... it'll kill my phone 😂😂😭😭😭... no automation all manual...#that's enough rambling from me... have a good day! ✨#wyn talks :)#minecroof

Sometimes I just look at Isabeau and just know that if isat came out and I got into it when I was like 16 he would be my favorite character and I would've gone absolutely buck wild over this man and feel like he was laser targeting me. But alas Odile has a grip of steel on me rn due to her virtue of being a middle aged woman

the weirdest thing to me is that the highschool swimming competition/aoi beating jun beinf portrayed to like traumatic extents to jun is like a surprisingly recurrent, consistent and relevant thing relative to the yk, Going To Dante's Inferno and Saving The World From Pandaemonium scales of stakes, but kurosaki herself is very sidelined lol
#txt#aoi is fr the only character jun is consistently and obviously uncomfortable with like no other#like okay even if it was a demon posession against her will aoi still technically tried to kill/SA jun so shes is in her place to not be#very sociable to her even if she isn't holding too deep a grudge abt that. but you can tell a lot of#that a lot of it it's still abt the hs competition thing even so long into the story.#like on a grander scale it's a little silly to get PTSD over a hs swimming competition but considering#it that was a passion for her and a very possible career choice that she had to abandon so like im not#gonna taunt that a lot. so like yeah i get that it's very relevant to jun.#but oddly enough as i said aoi herself doesn't directly have so much of a presence or relationship of any kind on#foot with jun. even though on her side jun not only as rivals but through admiration etc is v important to her#but they don't really interact much so that's very weird? it doesn't get closure either#yes many other things in the ending dont do either but im biased there was potential here tsk
