Just because they were head over heels doesn't mean they didn't take breaks or had an on/off relationship. I know we want to believe it was a perfect fairytale fantasy relationship but... 1. This is real life, and 2. You have to realize... They got together as teenagers. They've been together for 13 years. They had people potentially trying to get them to break up, they had to deal with stunts and jealousy, they probably had so many fights while in that band, etc. I have no doubt that they have at least broken up once and have gone on breaks before. I know they got civilly married in 2013 but that's not a legal marriage. With the way Louis overtly flirted with men (and Liam in that one interview...) I highly doubt he would have said no had any of those men asked him out. They were young boys in a very messed up situation where they were made to be codependent on each other because they only had each other. Songs like "Too Young" demonstrate this. A lot of Louis songs also pretty obviously insinuate that there was a breakup at one point. I know most larries will hesitate to believe it because they live in fantasy, but again... These are real people, not characters.

You are making a lot of assumptions here and jumping to conclusion without basing it in facts.

If you think they have taken breaks and have broken up and got back together or are on a break now, that's fine. You can believe what you want. I think you are dead wrong and i feel like i have plenty of evidence supporting my beliefs. It has nothing to do with believing in fairytales or not being able to know fact from fiction. It's the evidence that tells me so. You dismissing other people's opinions like that is quite frankly offensive. My beliefs are fact based and not based on hopes and wishes from a romantic point of view.

You say that the people who think they haven't broken up and been together all this time live in a fantasy, and that this is real life and not characters. Well, i say that characters tend to be overexaggated and overly dramatic. I think it's people who think they are broken up who buys into the drama of their songs, the stunt drama and the romantic narrative that they can't go two weeks without seeing each other who is the ones buying into fiction. Real people go through shit, but it doesn’t affect the relationship and they make it work. Fictional characters can't go through shit and make it work. Then the story is boring.

Like i've said before, basing your views on lyric analysis? Forget it. It's fictional and overdramatised to make a good song. And how on earth do you know they're civilly married? That's a headcanon if i've ever heard one. And Louis flirting with men, i assume you mean the Australian interviewer, Angus? Yeah? Should he have taken him on a date to the tattoo shop he got the dagger at, you know, since he got it right after that interview? Funny that.

Also, they were young people in a messed up situation? You do know that this messed up situation is because they got together and still are right? So if they broke up all this stunting and bg would be for nothing? Also please look at the timelines and tell me exactly when and where they broke up or got together again. People have claimed this at different points every year for 10 years. But the timelines never lie.

Gentle reminder that very little fandom labor is automated, because I think people forget that a lot.

That blog with a tagging system you love? A person curates those tags by hand.

That rec blog with a great organization scheme and pretty graphics? Someone designed and implemented that organization scheme and made those graphics.

That network that posts a cool variety of stuff? People track down all that variety and queue it by hand, and other people made all the individual pieces.

That post with umpteen links to helpful resources, and information about them? Someone gathered those links, researched the sources, wrote up the information about them.

That graphic about fandom statistics? Someone compiled those statistics, analyzed them, organized them, figured out a useful way to convey the information to others, and made the post.

That event that you think looks neat? Someone wrote the rules, created the blogs and Discords, designed the graphics, did their best to promo the event so it'd succeed.

None of this was done automatically. None of it just appears whole out of the internet ether.

I think everyone realizes that fic writing and fanart creation are work, and at least some folks have got it through their heads that gif creation and graphics and moodboards take effort, and meta is usually respected for the effort that goes into it, at least as far as I've seen, but I feel like a lot of people don't really get how much labor goes into curation, too.

If people are creating resources, curating content, organizing the creations of others, gathering information, and doing other fandom activities that aren't necessarily the direct action of creation, they're doing a lot of fandom labor, and it's often largely unrecognized.

you know what i think is really cool about dungeon meshi? the fact that it really handles the whole 'how our food is made' so gracefully. in this day and age, we've become so disconnected from how our food is produced and distributed that the thought of how our food is obtained brings disgust to many people (and for the big industry farms, it honestly should! but im referring to our existence as omnivores in the food chain). marcille acted ridiculous whenever the thought of killing a monster for food is brought up, but honestly, she's a great model for how many people nowadays react whenever they have to truly think about what they are consuming/are brought to a meat farm.

senshi shows the characters (and us, the audience) about the process of making food in a respectful, genuine way to the creatures he has used to produce nourishing meals. by explaining the nutrition and benefits of each creature, he creates and healthy relationship between the consumers and the meal they have. the show really brings a new dimension of respect for each of our meals. truly the bob ross/marie kondo of cooking.

How about when people called trans men 'dykes' because "well they're not actual men, they're just confused lesbians!"?

btw i feel like this shouldn't have to be said but the reason that agatha hates rio is because agatha didn't get to say goodbye to nicky. rio couldn't offer her any more time. and, in rio's mind, nicky going peacefully in his sleep (and even telling him to turn around and kiss agatha goodbye!!) is the one grace rio feels she can give agatha. nicky doesn't suffer. he doesn't fight. he just...goes. he goes on a walk with his mother and kisses his mama goodbye. but agatha doesn't get to say goodbye!!! she doesn't get those final moments with him!! she wakes up and he's already gone.
