Surgery

I will be having surgery this Wednesday to hopefully remedy impacted maxillary sinuses. It's not a big surgery, but it may mess up page production and uploads for a couple of weeks.

I'm still hoping to get a lot done, but I don't think I'll have much choice this time. ^^;

Caretaker purposefully cutting themselves so a starving Whumpee can get anything, even just a few drops.

Being bandaged and sore in multiple places because of sunburns

Having tender scars on their skin from being splashed by holy water.

Whumpee losing control from hunger and pounces on one of their friends. Having to be held back.

If they have bat wings, imagine the membrane being slowly ripped apart by Whumper. Or maybe getting it caught and tearing.

What are your three favourite fanfic tropes and what are your favourite fanfics with those tropes?

this is such a good question. it varies, and sometimes is just straight up a reflection of whatever romantic situation/fantasy i've most recently gotten myself into, but if i had to name 3:

getting back together has always been one of my favorite types of fics to read. I'm currently partway through Birthday Sex by @danfanciesphil which is a great example of that and so so good, all of the angst you would expect from the trope and it hits so well. much shorter but Scenes From an Italian Restaurant by @sierraadeux is one that I have recommended before. lost the map by @queerofcups is another really good longer divorce fic! i know some ppl are probably going to be horrified that i consider 18k to be "longer," sorry, i have adhd and a short attention span lmao.

friends to lovers is one i have been getting into more recently. this is such a common trope so it's hard to come up with my favorites lmao. bruising the sun by waveydnp is a very good example. August by @glowingatmosphere is one that really stuck with me even though I read it a while ago, the aspec part got me right in my (a)ngst bone (was that joke funny? no? yes? okay).

I also really like just domestic slice of life stuff. two wolves by possumdnp is a really funny fic based on Dan's "I've got two wolves inside of me and they won't stop fucking" t-shirt. freezeframe by @cityofphanchester is SO well written they're SO cute. i am maybe stretching the definition of slice of life here but worth it for this fic. "This is a lot, even for you." by @yikesola is a very cute fic about Phil dying things green.

these are just a few and i don't have a good memory for fics so i usually hunt through my bookmarks when i get these types of questions, and i might have missed some. but i recommend all of them.
