This is what a typical Vhasshalan meal looks like: Bread, cheese, pickled vegetables, and (if you're well off) seasonal fruit. But if you're rich, the fruit is usually soaked in some sort of booze.

Bread - Traditional Vhasshalan bread is made from sweet pine with other various tree barks mixed in. It has no leveling agent so it's more like hard tack. It stores well though and a lot of northern remote villages still make them to keep during the cold months. But most prefer the human version of bread made with grains, despite it being more expensive. White bread is considered a status symbol and typically only the wealthy can afford it.

Cheese - As it's rather difficult for giants to milk cows or goats, all dairy products are acquired through trade with smaller folk. Fresh cheese (like farmers cheese or cottage cheese) is especially desirable for the wealthy as it shows they have access to copious amounts of fresh milk.

Pickles - Pickles are very common in Vhasshal and most families have their own special recipes and preferred types of vegetation to use. Cabbage, young river reeds, thorny ferns, and even sunflower heads.

Plums - Plums are the only fruit native to Vhasshal that giants actually cultivate and farm. Wild berries are too small for them to bother with and it's considered good land husbandry to leave them alone because they attract game animals like elk and boars.

ALSOOOOO I’ve finally busted out the ps4 to play ghost recon breakpoint and I could not resist and had to make Lachlan as Nomad 😫 later on I gave him the Australian Special Forces setup with the M4A1 + USP Tactical as well as the gear (under the cut)

Honestly, I’ve barely played the campaign so far, I’ve been so busy running around with a squad and just shooting stuff and flying things on this huge ass map. Truely, so much fun. Chucked on some phonk while I was at it too, fokin mint 🤙🏻

One of the lock pins is a bit fiddley and might take a little extra finagling to properly unlock.

eds havers rain and ant

i remember i wrote a small something about this a while ago about rain trying to show ant ways of doing things and different aids so they aren’t hurting themself constantly and ant being really stubborn about it so rain goes to zeph all like “idk why they’re not understanding i’m trying to help them” and zephs like “bro you were the exact same if not worse”

but yes i absolutely agree eds havers rain and ant

rains biggest pain points are his fingers and hips it’s why he prefers bass over guitar despite being able to play both bass is bigger therefore less fiddley to play. he wears ring splints almost 24/7 when not playing they’re gold and make his elegant hands look extra pretty. he also uses a cane when not on stage on extra bad days he’ll use a walker or a wheelchair. dew is his personal heat pack and is always happy to use the excuse of being a heat compress to cuddle

ants biggest pain points are their wrists shoulders and knees. they definitely use their hyper mobility and stretchy skin as a party trick and then deal w the consequences later, they’re always getting scolded after showing off on stage. swiss is their kt taper cause he’s a master after taping his chest for so many years and then having to tape his shoulder after his bad fall on stage. they do have wrist and knee braces for more day to day but they get too itchy too quick so they prefer tape. they’ll also use forearm crutches when their knees are extra bad, it took a lot of time before they were ready to start using them but rain helped decorate them so ant felt more confident using them
