Sam is Adopted

So! Have you ever noticed how Sam doesn't look like either of her Parents? Her Mom and Dad are Blonde and Ginger, and neither of them have Purple Eyes. How would Sam ever come from either of them?

She tells people that she dyes her Hair and wears Contacts, but the reality is that she was adopted as a baby by them. They had just found out that Pamela was Infertile and they wanted an Heir foe their company, so they decided to Adopt a kid.

But the Adoption Agency didn't have any kids who would realistically look like them, so they just got the first kid they found.

She had been left at the Orphanage by her Mother citing an inability to raise her and an unstable income. She never told the Agency her name, but told them that the baby's name was Sam, named after her Grandfather.

Sam was raised knowing that she was Adopted, but never really put much interest into it. Until one day when she decided that her adoptive Parents support of the Anti Ecto Acts was a step too far for her. She took an Ancestry DNA Test to see if she could find her Bio Mom to get away from them.

The results came back, and she found out that her Mom was a woman from Metropolis named Lois Lane.

Was always worried about the angst of unrequited love, had never realized the sheer amount of comedic potential that it has.

Imagine one-sided Superbat where Clark is fully aware that Bruce has a crush on him but is being his repressed self about it, and Clark is just like, “I’m not gonna touch that :) you’re going to figure that out for yourself, buddy, and in the meantime, I’m just going to have a good time and be best friends with you as you inevitably pull yourself together enough to either fall out of love or to confess :) and I’ll just let you down gently because I care about you :)” but he absolutely 100% is using it to his advantage in the meantime. His puppy dog eyes had never been so effective before. He’s gotten out of Monitor Duty three times in the past month.

Okay so. I pretty sure the kid is only biologically related to Bernard because the main plot was Tim trying to convince the court that he would be a great co-parent despite being a teenager with a history of depression living on a boat.

I’m not sure the story of how Bernard acquired the baby — whether he had the kid in high school and was a single dad prior to getting with Tim, or if the other parent had other broken up with Bernard shortly before he reconnected with Tim so timber had already been dating when they got the news that Bernard was gonna be a dad, or if Bernard was trans and got pregnant, which would have made the pain cult thing. Interesting. — but he was a cutie and looked very similar to his dad (light blond hair, tan skin)

In my head, if timber ever had a child they would’ve named her after Darla (Darla Drake-Dowd? Like c’mon that’s perfect), but my subconscious apparently disagreed with me and named the kid Alex. Alexander Dowd. Why do u have a baby called Lex there Bern?

At one point Bernard was stuck on the roof of a gothic cathedral with bad guys gunning for him because he’s, y’know, Bernard. And Alex got dropped down a clock tower but Tim swung in at the last moment to catch the baby in midair and return him safely to his dad’s arms with a wink and a smile before rush into to defeat the bad guys and save the day because he’s, y’know, Tim.

Oh also Bernard just kept showing up with the baby whenever Tim was working on his laptop. Sometimes just holding him on his hip while listening to him rant with a smile on his face, other times just plopping him down in Tim’s arms because how ya gonna work now? You gonna ignore Alex’s cute little face to stress over your spreadsheets? Didn’t think so.

Her movement mechanics would be peak. You could have her be more long range with laser shots of you could get up close and dazzle enemies. I think managing the sound she absorbs could be a really interesting mechanic. I've got no idea what the story would be I'm just thinking purely mechanically playing a game as Dazzler would be so cool

As long as targeting marginalized people continues to rake in money and clout for online grifters, I have bad news for how long Livewire would keep up her Kryptonian hate campaign! She'd have to adjust her narrative with other types of Supers. It's all an extension of the grift.

honestly obsessed with the fact that slade is constantly answering anyone's "who are you people" questions with "that's easy, we're the good guys" because for one, it's that same phrasing every time, both with leslie and clark, and that feels intentional both for him and the writers, and for two, what does that even mean? we know the general (lane i bet money it's sam lane i thought it was eiling at first but lane makes more sense) is probably worried about a potential alien invasion but is slade? is that actually something he cares about and is concerned about and wants to fight against? does he genuinely think he's doing good or on the good side? does he have ideological motives? his entire personality is just being cunty at this point so it doesn't seem like it but why the constant focus on that specific framing? he seems to enjoy what he does, he's having the time of his life in every fight, so is he just doing this for the hell of it? but if that's the case why parrot what has to be the general's main talking point? is he just doing a job he enjoys? but then why the constant stress on the fact that he's one of the "good guys"? and why only say it when taunting an enemy and never sounding sincere about it anyway? does he then know that he's part of some shady shit that's not right and just doesn't care?

Jon Kent is so cute! Such a good boy...

I do love Jon Kent, especially in the Supersons era. Modern Jon is a little lackluster to me--he is too much like Clark. And. I am primarily a Clark fan, and it sucks to be trying to read about his son and to just be like 'i wish clark was here actually'. I WANT to like Jon desperately but post the age-up it's just not felt good to read stories about him.
