Jon Kent is so cute! Such a good boy...

I do love Jon Kent, especially in the Supersons era. Modern Jon is a little lackluster to me--he is too much like Clark. And. I am primarily a Clark fan, and it sucks to be trying to read about his son and to just be like 'i wish clark was here actually'. I WANT to like Jon desperately but post the age-up it's just not felt good to read stories about him.

#shitpost #i wish more was done with christopher kent--I think he has a much better backstory.#I also prefer the adoption narrative vs a bio kid narrative #i feel like if superman and lois were going to have a kid it should be a test tube baby if not adopted.#idk this is something i get a lot in star wars too i just get so annoyed when cross-species children is assumed to be possible #i prefer it not to be--and for that to be part of the narrative #i like how mass effect handles this actually #where like asari can have children with other species but the children are always asari and other pairings/races either have to adopt #or just work with that etc idk.#christopher kent was so much more appealing to me with that too just because like #superman who was VERY NOTABLY adopted by his absolutely WONDERFUL parents also carrying on a legacy of adoption is so appealing to me #i always wanted to adopt kids myself so its a very important idea to me #its something i will never be able to do largely for monetary reasons and i have accepted that but like #i am asexual. adoption is a much more appealing narrative to me in general because it is the only one i can entertain as possible #that being said there were a lot of cute moments and well written scenes like before jon was born discussing the complexities and such.#but still #anon
