In my view, the fabric that represents Kueakiat's feeling for Lady Pin is like a fine and elegant silk with expensive value. Then, are you able to see the fabric which represents my feeling for Lady Pin?

You know I'll be first to point out if/when Crocodile does a little Luffyism, so let's take a moment to appreciate it when Luffy does a little Crocodile-ism;
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like Luffy may be a silly lil goofball, but as he's said many times himself, he's always serious (in combat). And so Fujitora laughing at Luffy right in his face, when they're in battle and Luffy is completely dead serious... Yeah, the way he takes it like an insult gives Crocodile

I do agree with the people calling Somerton out for his misogyny and lesbophobia but I do want to remind everyone that him treating Becky Albertalli like that was an explicit act of biphobia. Like there is something very transparent about him insisting that lesbians have it easier than gay men only to turn to a bisexual woman and refuse to accept that she's queer at all. That was biphobia in it's purest form. It doesn't make the rest okay by any means and I'm not trying to minimize it, but as a bisexual woman I think it's important for everyone to recognize that he did not just treat her like that because she's a woman who happens to like women, he did that because she's bisexual and he clearly doesn't think bisexual women are queer at all.
Also don't gloss over the transphobia around ignoring ND Stephenson and Rebecca Sugar's gender identities as well. He's not just a misogynist and a lesbophobe, he's biphobic and transphobic too. Acknowledge all of it.

What I love about Vendetta is Chris did not need Leon. He put Rebecca in more danger going to find Leon’s drunk ass. Most of the bad shit that happened in the movie was a direct result of going out of his way to find Leon instead of using the resources and man power he already had access to.
He just missed Leon is all and wanted him with him 🥺

Perfect additions! I remember getting the creeps from this so bad, right from when he first called out to her. I get accidentally being in the bike lane (as an absent minded person who has to work very hard to pay attention to road signs in my own country so as to not die, and who was almost hit by a bike while spending like 10 minutes in Amsterdam), everything else I’m 100% on.
The second he threw away his phone my alarm bells were ringing so hard. Maybe because I’ve felt very very unsafe on occasions when I’ve been without my phone, even in familiar places, but that just screams DANGER to me. Imagine seeing a stranger, a woman, who's clearly not from this country, she’s just ended up in the water, lost her phone, and is potentially injured. You're the only one who seems to be “offering her help” (this is clearly not what he did). And your reaction is to throw your phone away. This woman could be in pain, need medical attention, need to contact family or friends, at the very least she’ll need to call a cab. You could offer your phone to her so she can contact whoever she needs to contact, or you could just keep it on hand so she knows if anything does go wrong, she can make a call. But no, let’s get rid of the only phone you could offer her. Let’s invite her on a boat when you’ve just thrown away the major mode of communication from the boat.
(yes I know they're on a river boat barge thing in a canal in the middle of a city, but that thing has locks and no landline. he could have padded the walls. she needs a fucking phone)
I have no other option but to assume this man is a serial killer. His actions, throwing away the phone, and basically everything he says, it's giving Dennis Reynolds in It’s Always Sunny, with his implications, and how women can’t say no on a boat where no one is coming to help.
When he threw the phone away, even though I got that they were going for the stereotypical “foreigner teaches American to live in the moment by doing something no mentally healthy person does and pretending it’s a lifestyle”, I still thought there was no way any woman reacts to that by not running away. The fact that they had her get on the boat, instead of, oh I don’t know, finding someone who didn't throw away their phone and ask them for help, made me sure they were headed somewhere dark.
Every part of her storyline was just getting creepier and creepier. I remember thinking “wow, they’re really putting Rebecca is such a dangerous position here. Why would she accept this guy? Why wouldn’t she run? Does she have a head injury? Is she concussed?” There’s nothing about Rebecca’s character, given everything she’s been through and how aware she is of what kind of men there are out there, that would have her get on that boat. Let alone have a damn shower. I don't know any woman who would, but definitely not her.
I was sure he was going to try to assault her.  Everything about his behaviour, everything he said and did, screamed danger. And her being so calm, so seemingly oblivious to every red flag, it felt like the beginnings of a horror movie. But it wasn’t. It was just what men think a meet-cute is. Jesus.
(But then this season included many moments like this. As people have mentioned a lot, there’s the whole Jane and Beards “romance”. There’s Roy having the players tie their dicks together with string and play like that for a training exercise, which is already insanely messed up, but he came up with the idea to put his players in this position pretty much right after one of said players confessed to him that he had been raped as a child at his father’s urging. WHAT THE FUCK?!
They also had Isaac be casually homophobic, blank and be cruel to his best friend when he found out he was gay, then say 👉👈 “why wouldn’t you tell me?”, Ted tried to stalk his ex, and they kinda gave Jamie’s abusive father an apparent off-screen redemption so that the show could end with a shot of Jamie talking to his father, implying that Jamie had forgiven him, rather than allow Jamie to finally get away from his abuser.).
I'm sorry but we need to talk about Dutch boat guy..
because I still don't understand how people are fine with this storyline. Not even for romance's sake.
I know the whole thing with him and Rebecca was written (last minute) to have her in a different state of mind. I know she needed some time away from everyone and everything. I get that.
But I can't stop being offended on Rebecca's behalf, because I don't know any woman in her right mind, who would act like that. We're not speaking of a "first date went great, now let's hook up"-kind of situation, because they barely talked before she got on board. He could have offered her a blanket instead and help her get a cab so she can go back to her hotel room and change. Now THAT would have been a nice and cute gesture.
But NOPE the writers wanted her to have a shower on this random guy's boat, who she knows like full five minutes and who is insistent that she drinks his weird tea that's "definitely not drugged", kisses her foot and (for me at least) gives clear stranger danger vibes. And I'm not even taking into account that last line he muttered to himself, which was confusing and creepy af. She couldn't even call for help if she wanted to because she lost her phone!
I don't know how this could happen... I'm SURE they didn't want to convey this but they (inadvertently or not) did.
If they wanted her to spend the night talking with this guy, they could have let her drop her phone into the canal. She wouldn't find her way back, boat guy could be a café guy who offers her a warm drink - they have a connection whatever - she stays at his café and then he walks her back to the hotel after closing. Just.. let it happen in public and make it make sense!
but oh no this means she wouldn't see his daughters room and wouldn't be able to see the connection to Trish's predictions! oh NOW you're worried about predictions and hints - what about the fucking green matchbook
