The man on the radio says it's Monday morning, throws on a couple of tracks before giving us both the happy and unhappy headlines. Weatherwise I've no idea ... currently not raining but keep 'the umbrella' and water wings close. The traffic lady is imminent ... in fact, here she is and apparently there's lots of cars on the road ... who knew?

Today's groaner: a little girl is having a tea party with her teddy bear and asks him "Would you like anything to eat Mr Bear?" ... "No thank you" says Mr Bear "I'm stuffed" ;-D badoom tish ... here all week!!

Up too early to make sense and merely peering at the day ... especially as my one and only marble is in his hammock and refusing to say much of anything other than "more coffee and toast if you please ... and shut the cranial door on your way out."

Little Dude gets his stitches out today and Captain Blackbeard will also sing his way to and from the vets as he requires his usual 'tonic' to keep things ticking over. Ah the shiny metropolis, your call is strong ... never too long before I'm back in your befuddlement inducing embrace.

Time for more coffee ...

Katniss is such an unreliable narrator. She says "Then something unexpected happens. At least, I don't expect it because I don't think of District 12 as a place that cares about me" girl you deliver strawberries to the Mayor, you hunt and trade for the district, when you fell at Prim being chosen someone caught you, when you went to Prim people parted for you, when you volunteered EVERYONE stopped. Idk how to tell you but I think you're a pillar of the community.

Peeta buring the bread and tossing some to her then taking a beating from his mom is a HUGE thing in the books.#he used his resources to help her like you all said someone should.#district 12 DID (rip) care about Katniss before the hunger games. why do you think she was allowed to hunt? or how her trades were good #these are the little ways 12 can shows Katniss they love her. but again Katniss doesn't see this and YES its because she had ptsd before the #hunger games as well. i swear some of you make it seem like d12 was all living a life of luxury and glaring down at Katniss.#other things that show Katniss is in hight standing with at least her people of d12 is her dad was known enough through d12 for peeta dad to #comment on his singing along with his commenting on her mom. also her mom is a healer in the community. yeah her parents arnt the top but #of d12 but they are/were definitely high staning in the Seam.

feeling fucking sick after reading the sunshine court and then rereading the banquet scene where jean lists off all of neil's false identities. like u know jean was staring at this man who was supposed to be his partner—his brother—with so much resentment. he looked at him and thought of what could have been. i know jean says the names casually but i like to think with every name his tone became a little more clipped. each identity a reminder of who neil was supposed to be, who he was supposed to be for jean. and it probably hurt even more that it was kevin who found him. kevin who gets everything. kevin who gets to leave. and now, kevin who gets to have HIS partner. jean was devastated in ways neil and kevin couldnt even comprehend.

In your Spitfire AU, since Zuko is looking after Lu Ten II, what happened to Ursa?

Zuko is slightly older in the Spitfire AU. He was banished at fifteen, his head a little clearer and denial a little weaker than in canon. After his first look through the Air Temples, Zuko decides that if he can't find a myth, he might as well search for the next best thing.

Finding Ursa isn't easy, but in time he makes it to a secluded house in a near-forgotten part of the world. His mom is there, older and stronger and alive.

But she isn't alone.

And Zuko, as it turns out, didn't keep the best company during his search.

When Ursa is discovered and her secrets are laid bare for assassins (for Ozai) to find, she begs Zuko to take his little brother and run. She'll do anything it takes to protect her children, even if that means leaving them behind to keep a target off their back. Ursa diverts attention from them and allows Lu Ten's ancestry to be kept a secret. She orders Zuko not to follow her again, and disappears.

Zuko is left with a little three-year-old brother to raise and a mother he cannot hold onto.

saikis powers are a vital part of him so it makes sense that people who dont know about them cant truly understand his whole self, but its also very silly to me when people act like its the ONLY important part of him... people act like his friends that arent in the know are completely blind to who saiki is, but i feel like that kinda means you missed some major points... he cant keep his powers a secret forever and it DOES matter, but he can still be loved and KNOWN without knowing about them... hes still human, he still has a personality, he still has regular likes and dislikes, etcetc

his friends perspectives on him may have been wrong at first, but they CHANGED... they know him and love him, and theyll KEEP loving him the SAME once they know of his powers...

some people cough cough cough in this fandom like to reduce saiki to JUST his powers and its so obvious that you just. missed everything. you didnt absorb anything from the show, you just saw it and went "ha, everyone thinks hes just a guy when hes actually super cool and powerful" no no no, he IS cool and powerful but look a little closer and at his core he is still LITERALLY JUST A GUY 😭😭😭
