Can I just say that, narratively, the season finale of Loki somehow feels like the Norse myth of Loki:
Tied in the cave in great pain till the start of Ragnarok and the end of time.
Yes, this time around he is in a position of power, no snake venom dripping over him, no writhing that cause earthquakes, but he is confronted to his greatest pain, his burden, loneliness, tied to it to protect everyone he loves and the entire multiverse.
Not even a Sigyn-character-type to metaphorically "hold the bowl" and alleviate the pain of his loneliness.
Unless...
Mobius, the only one of his friends who says that he will "let time pass" now that Loki has sacrificed himself for them all and the multiverse.
(This is not me saying Mobius is a Sigyn-Variant, far from it she would deserve her own character and so does he, but narratively, Mobius, like Sigyn in the myth, should be at Loki's side, together, for all time, always.)

Oh my god, TED talk about the importance of physical touch and conversation in medicine! About how we still have to rely on those things no matter how advanced our technology gets, because they tell us things the technology can't. This guy talks about medical examination as a RITUAL!
@sigynpenniman I think you've been saying some of these things for a long time with Julian.
Also, I cannot tell you what a weird experience it is to have to pause my online, asynchronous class and go screech at tumblr about it because I'm so excited by it. I am currently liveblogging my homework. Why aren't all classes this fun?

Thinking about Loki representing Sigyn as ropes which tie him down in his poetry before Baldur's death, but flipping the analogy afterwards and representing her as the ropes which keep him from falling when his footing slips.

Here's a basic rundown of the species found within the Yggdrasil System. Unfortunately due to the rule of the Aesir under the Allmother, much of the information has been destroyed, censored, or erased, making researching these species particularly difficult. However, I have managed to collect a general consensus on what each of the species look like.
Helheim is impossible to know, any first inhabitants of the planet are long dead or in hiding. No one on Helheim are born there, and few leave alive.
Here's what I gathered:
Jotun: Tall, Digitigrade legs, Pointed ears, Tail, Some have horns
- Examples: Loki, Logi, Fenrir (Heimdall: Hybrid; Jotun/Asgardian)
Vanir: Pointed ears, often blond or ginger, Ungulated legs (hooves)
- Examples: Frey, Freya, (Kvasir, Hybrid; Vanir/Asgardian)
Midgardian: Plantigrade legs (human legs), tails with fur on the end, rarely (but not unheard of) winged. Winged Midgardians often have feathers at the end of their tails and feathered ears.
- Examples: Ottar, Vidfinn, (Lyfrassir Edda (Winged)
Helheim: There are no known natives of the planet. Prison Colony.
- Examples: CLASSIFIED
Asgardian: Plantigrade legs, pointed ears, often with blond or silver hair, occasionally other colours, hair is often braided, and braid patterns are passed down through families. a tradition shared with Midgardians. often blue, grey or dark skinned. They also appear to have extended lifespans, living upwards of 200 years.
- Examples: Odin, Thor, (Heimdall: Hybrid; Asgardian/Jotun), Sigyn
Muspelheim: Able to withstand extreme heat, often lizard-like, digitigrade scaled legs, draconic tail, horns, slitted pupils
- Examples: !!ERROR!! RELOADING
Niflheim: Able to withstand extreme cold, short, covered in fuzzy fur, digitigrade pawed legs, short furred, long furry ears,
- Examples: !!ERROR!! RELOADING
Alfheim: Similar to Vanir, plantigrade legs. golden hair, pointed ears, often have blue or silver eyes, many have symbolic tattoos. rich golden skin, clawed nails.
- Examples: !!ERROR!! RELOADING
Svartalfheim: Similar to Vanir, digitigrade legs, black hair, long pointed ears, often have blue or purple eyes, many have symbolic tattoos. dark skin, often purple-ish, dark clawed nails. pointed tail.
- Examples: !!ERROR!! RELOADING
The train has yet to arrive. It would be a shame if the cultures were to dissapear.

the final veil is still a work in progress and may take a while for more lore to be released as the story is still being smoothed out along with characters individual backstories and character arcs.
i am one person, and while i doubt anyone will be invested or care about this au, for whoever may be, please be patient.
also, i will say, the lore of the final veil isn't really based off much, just an idea i had that may nit be possible in actual magnus archives lore. it's kind of hard to tell, i don't know what's happening half the time.
if i get anything wrong, please tell me, i'll see what i can do, but if something integral to the story is impossible in the magnus archives lore that is okay as it's an au. i don't particularly care what is and isn't possible i'm having fun okay.
this section of the post will update as lore continues to be added, with links to core posts being added in THE LORE section to make it easier for quickly accessing posts.
also much of this au will ignore the magnus protocol, simply because i haven't listened to it yet. i will, trust me. i just haven't gotten around to it.
may the entities spare you, for they are not quite dead, and they live on in their strongest.
their remnants, their holders, may be unpredictable, and they are in most every way just like regular people.
however some may be violent, and left unchecked and unaccounted for, may cause significant problems.
this is asterope signing off.

Reykjavik, July 18th
Day 4 me and my mom took yet another walk near the oceans, enjoying the scenery and visited Saga museum. It was lovely there and they had a display of many vax figures and interesting historical stories. They even had an audiobook to listen to while we walked through it!
(Don't mind the Norwegian text, my mother added that to the pictures!)
Raven & Floki - Torbjorg the vĂślva.
Melkorka MĂ˝rkjartansdĂłttir & her son Ălafr!
I also bought a bunch of goodies from their store! Some runic symbols for my alters and a Sleipnir plush to take home with me!! <33
Afterwards we got some delicious soup at the ironically named Loki cafe! And I spotted some familiar faces on the decorated wall. Loki, Fenrir and Sigyn?! (First time I saw our girlie) HELLO, ARE YOU OKAY THERE?! đ

Concept of Sigyn and Loki having a bathroom with double sinks. Loki's sink is surrounded by dozens of haircare products, multiple sets of makeup brushes, a wide variety of makeup and skin creams (there's like a 30-step skin care routine Loki does), and several devices for hair styling.
On the other hand, Sigyn's side has a hair brush (she keeps her clips and hair ties in a drawer), a very basic makeup set up with maybe two floral eyeliner pallets (Loki actually helps her pick out her products because they're better at it than she is and seems to know what colors will suit her. They also do her eyeliner because they're steadier with it), and maybe one or two skin creams or makeup removers that are the same brand as her mother's.
For Sigyn, the daily makeup-skincare-hair routine is somewhat of an after thought and not as important, but for Loki it's very grounding and part of an overall self-care process. Sigyn gets that the entire thing is much more important and symbolic to Loki than it is to her. She also has no problem letting them do her makeup or making her try new products/processes with them because 1) Loki really is an artist with a makeup brush and she's always super excited/impressed with the result and 2) Spending quality time doing makeup together is a way Loki shows their love and it's always a lot of fun.

additionally i am thinking about loki and sigyn as two sides of the same coin: chaos and constancy, fire and water, the one holding the universe together and the one tearing it apart to create change.
thinkin about sigyn as the thread that holds the universe together and vibing.
#sigyn is order while loki is chaos and they play off each other so perfectly in a mythic and symbolic sense i'm !!!!!#i think about them so much#ooc. ( a suspicious lack of dragons )#re; sigyn. LOKI
WHO IS HE?
Loki is the Norse god of mischief and trickery. He is known for his unpredictable and manipulative nature, which frequently involves playing practical jokes or pranks on other gods, mortals, and giants. He is also the god of fire, and he has a strong connection to the underworld and the realm of the dead. Loki is often portrayed as a shapeshifter who can take on the form of various animals, including snakes, foxes, bats, and even horses. He is also often associated with fire, creativity, innovation, and destruction.
BASIC INFO:
Appearance: his appearance in Norse mythology can vary greatly, depending on the source. In some depictions, he is described as being a tall and handsome male figure with red hair and a beard. In other depictions, he is described as being a more feminine or androgynous character, with long and straight red hair, along with smooth and pale skin.
Personality: Loki is a clever and devious character, known for his ability to manipulate and deceive others with his cunning and wit. He is also known for his unpredictable nature, his tendency to get himself into trouble, and his proclivity for causing chaos and disorder. He is often seen as a trickster and a troublemaker, who enjoys creating disruption and chaos.
Symbols: serpents, wolves, ax, raven, masks, fire, Bjarken and Logr Runes, fishing nets, earthquakes, infinity snake and ouroboros, number 8, chaos star, runes that spell out his name: Laguz, Othala, Kenaz, Isa as well as the rune Hagalaz, and Helmet of Dread or the Helmet of Horror
God of: mischief, trickery, and fire
Culture: Norse and Germanic
Plants and trees: mistletoe, birch, common Haircap moss (Lokiâs Oats), bentgrass (Lokiâs Grass), cinnamon, dandelion, beech, blackthorn, elder, elm, ivy, juniper, mullein, thistle, mint, holly, cedar, juniper, elder, clove, patchouli, tobacco, willow, and yew
Crystals: jade, obsidian, sapphire, amethyst, garnet, citrine, black tourmaline, serpentine, carnelian, fire opal, black onyx, catâs eye, xenotime, chrysoberyl, and labradorite
Animals: salmon, birds (crows, ravens, falcon, and vultures), flies, goats, flea, horses, wolves, serpents, foxes, spiders, and wasps
Incense: dragon's blood, frankincense, myrrh, patchouli, basil, cinnamon, pine, wild berry, rum incense, and anything sweet and musky
Practices: shadow work, transformation, astral projection, insight, and chaos magick
Colours: green, gold, black, violet, yellow, orange, and red
Numbers: 4, 8, and 13
Zodiac: Gemini
Tarot: The Fool, The Tower, The Devil, The Wheel of Fortune, Page of Cups, and Seven of Swords
Planets: Mercury and Venus
Days: Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, LokablĂłt, April Foolâs Day, Yule, Mabon, Samhain, Friday the 13th, the 13th of each month, and Lokabrenna Day
Parents: FĂĄrbauti and Laufey
Siblings: Odin (blood brother), Helblindi, and Býleistr
Partners: Angrboda, Sigyn, and Glut
Children: Fenrir, JĂśrmungandr, Hel, VĂĄli, Narfi, and Sleipnir (Odinâs horse)
MISC:
⢠Fire: Wagner combined Loki with Logi, the fire god, in his Ring Cycle. And ever since, Loki has been associated with fire and magic  in pop culture. There are some very iffy pieces of evidence that Loki might have had some historical connection with fire (e.g., the Snaptun stone and medieval folklore about the Ash Lad) but the scholarly consensus is âNope, blame Wagner.â That said, fire, with its dual roles of creation and destruction, enlightenment and passion, is a pretty potent symbol for Loki even if it doesnât have a historical basis.
⢠Red hair: Lokiâs hair colour is never mentioned in the lore, and there are some illuminated Icelandic manuscripts in which he is shown as a blond or brunette. The fire god mistake mentioned above probably popularized the redhead image. (Interestingly, Thor is canonically a redhead.)
⢠Fishing Nets: in Gylfaginning, Loki weaves a fishing net while on the lam and hiding from the Aesir. (The story kind of implies itâs the first fishing net, although Ran is also credited with inventing them elsewhere.) Loki turns into a salmon to escape but ends up being caught with his own creation,
⢠Earthquakes: the prose epilogue to Lokasenna claims that earthquakes are caused by Loki writhing in pain when Sigyn leaves to empty her venom-catching bowl.
⢠Masks: while Odin, not Loki, takes the name of GrĂmnir (the masked one) in the lore, masks are a fairly logical thing to associate with a shapeshifter.
FACTS ABOUT LOKI:
⢠Name: Loki is named after the Norse word "loki," which means "mischief maker" or "trickster."
⢠Role: in Norse mythology, Loki is known as a chaotic and mischievous figure who frequently causes problems for the Godâs.
⢠Relationships: the son of the frost giant Fårbauti and the giantess Farbauti, and is the brother of the Goddess Hel.
⢠Origin: he is a JÜtunn or giant who is the son of the JÜtunn Fårbauti, which means "dangerous strike."
⢠Associations: Loki is connected to the realms of chaos and trickery and is often seen as a troublemaker and instigator of conflict.
⢠Connection to Thor: he is the half-brother of Thor, and has several encounters with the god of thunder. In one famous example, Loki tries to trick Thor into drinking a powerful liquor called "Módrunar," which causes him to become extremely drunk.
⢠Powers: he is a powerful deity with a wide range of abilities, including shapeshifting, sorcery, illusions, and knowledge.
⢠Association with Trickery: Loki is closely associated with the concept of trickery, often utilizing his skills as a master manipulator to cause trouble for the Godâs.
HOW TO INVOKE LOKI:
The best way to work with Loki is to respectfully is to approach him with sincere devotion and reverence. He is a God of mischief and chaos, so a certain level of humor is appropriate when working with him, but that doesn't mean you should take him lightly or treat his power with disrespect. To worship him respectfully, make an offering, either something tangible or a gesture like writing a poem or performing an act of mischief and chaos in his name. Be genuine and open in your intention, and don't be afraid to get a little mischievous yourself.
Some ways to works with Loki include:

⢠Play board or video games.
⢠Cook meals and eat with him (cook whatever meal catches your fancy and then eat at his altar).

Flame-hair, your soul burning into the night, Throwing caution to the wind And casting the die of fate, Teach me your fearlessness. Silver-tongue, whispering carefully veiled truths, Sowing shrouded mystery in your wake, And leading only the clever onward, Teach me your secrecy. And leading only the clever onward, Teach me your secrecy. Gift-Bringer, recognizing all the overlooked, Giving rightly earned reward where itâs due, And in turn, blame as well, Teach me your justice. Scar-lip, ending silence in the face of injustice, Grinning down at the outcasts And rallying your voice with theirs, Teach me your anger. Pain-holder, accepting your punishment, Embracing the consequences of your deeds, And taking the fall of those who are weaker, Teach me your resilience. World-breaker, harbinger of chaos, Spitting fire upon the stagnant And carving the spear of change, Teach me your courage. Cruel-striker, slanderer of the gods, Burning the inefficient and stale, Revealing potential in the ashes, Teach me your insight. Sly-walker, throwing your mischievous grin about And casting laughter into the darkness Where before there was only despair, Teach me your joy. Shape-changer, manipulator of all walks of life, Confidently adapting to every situation, Commanding the strength of any form, Teach me your cunning. Hearth-fire, warmth of my heart, Your arms a sanctuary where none is found Light and life of the home I can always return to, Teach me your nurturing. Sky-treader, ever true to your wild heart,Letting none even try to contain your spirit As free as the sky itself, Teach me your passion. Hail Loki, And thank you, my God, For everything you bring to my life.I love you so.

Loki is the Norse god of mischief, and the hard cold truth, even tho he may be cold, he is wise, and charming in many ways.
I use resources, I do not own the info, and most deep dives have UPG (that I use in my work.) And I only take some information from sources. I am 14, this is my hobby, I am learning but I spent many hours and days on this, and I am always open to criticism. I have been doing worship for 5 years. Please know you can use the info, I do not sue, but I will take action if this work is used without permission and not put as a resource if used in any work. without permisson and not put as a resource if used in any work, for the public.

I don't think I ever managed to post the necklace I made and then the set of circumstances leading up to it being made.
I have put Loki (Kenaz) and Hades (Pluto Symbol) in the middle. Then I've added Sigyn (Laguz), and Persephone (Narcissus).
So, Originally I had made a gold one for Loki and Hades. The chain completely tarnished all to hell in like a week. So I got new chain and made another one. That one tarnished in AN HOUR.
So I'm like "Obviously, Gold is not compatible with me". So I got new charms and made a silver version with Loki and Hades. It was going well enough and one day like a month in, I had the thought that I should add Sigyn and Persephone to honor them alongside their husbands, since they are a big part of Loki's and Hades' lives. Which I was like, "Okay, but I don't want to pay big shipping on little charms, so I'd need to order more. Maybe one day."
A few days later, I went to pick up my uncle from the airport. I get home and go to go to the bathroom and my necklace is MIA! The chain broke. I'm kind of (read: super) panicking and look all over for it. Go back out to the car, look everywhere.
I find Hades' charm. Which I wasn't too worried about because his came in a 5 pack and I had more if need be. But no Loki! So I ended up ordering multiple Loki charms and also the Sigyn and Persephone ones for free shipping. The morning after I order it, Loki's charm is just sitting there out in the open right next to the car driver's door! Because it's Loki so of course it is where I'd already looked 3 days in a row. I get the feeling he wanted me to add them so he made sure I would place an order.
So I am using the old Loki and Hades charms, I have their extras put away, just in case. And the necklace now has everyone and they all seem pretty happy about that from what I can gather.
Bonus fun fact: I was actually intending to buy a different rune for Sigyn (Wunjo), but they sent the wrong one. Luckily, this rune is also in Lea Svendsen's book listed for Sigyn, and now that I think about it, might fit a little better anyway. So I'm choosing to believe this was also a Loki mischief thing cause it sure feels like one.

MAMA!LOKI 2024 vs. 2021
Did a Tumblr poll and people wanted more wifey!Loki...mama!Loki's kinda the same thing, yea? I am working on more with him and Sigyn, but inspo for this just struck me intensely.
There's a lot of symbolism to unpack here...but for now...behold! Style progression!

Feedback!
Thank you so much for this incredibly detailed reading! Wow, the depth youâve gone into and the explanations for choosing Artemis are amazing. I'm really stoked that you chose Artemis, she's actually one of my favorite goddesses! I love archery, and it's something Iâd really like to learn someday and with Artemis being the goddess of archery, itâs so cool that you chose her for me!
She fits really well with my moon nakshatra, as you mentioned, there are so many parallels. The connection between anuradha and uttara ashada and Artemisâ devotion, support, the idea of loyalty, being such a core part of her archetype is something I definitely resonate with deeply, especially when it comes to the people I care about.
Thank you for mentioning Philotes and Sigyn and Parvati too..I can absolutely see how they resonate with me as well.
Even though she's not directly associated with your nakshatras, I'm still going to mention Greek Rhea. She might be interesting to you.
Omg yes! Even though sheâs not as popular as the Olympians, Iâve always liked her. Itâs really nice you brought her up!
Iâll definitely look into all of them more. Overall, this reading felt so special and and insightful. I really appreciate the time and thought you put into it. Thanks a lotđđ have a great day aheadâ¨ď¸
Thank you sooo much for a long feedbackđđđđ delighted that it resonated!!
One thing I forgot to mention is the connection between archery and your atmakaraka nakshatra_ Punarvasu, with a bow and an arrow being one of its symbols. Sagittarius is also associated with archery and you have Ketu there in Mula nakshatra. Both of those(ketu and atmakaraka) are important placements.
So happy you love Rhea, I moreso chose to mention her from intuitionđ¤ also, I think Philotes and Parvati are more fit for you than it looks from what I said. Philotes can be coorelated to Anuradha(so can Sygin) and Parvati is connected to Mrigashirađ
Also Roman Diana is almost the same as Artemis, and there is a hunting Goddess that I honestly don't know why I didn't mentionđ she is in my Mrigashira as goddess(es) post though. It's Dali, Georgian goddess of hunting, mountains, horned animals, of wild nature. She was said to have long golden hair and appear mostly naked to hunters to tempt them. You can research info about herđ¤đ¤ (although I just found one site where it's said that she's a "Russian" goddess "from the region of Georgia". First of all Georgia is not a russian regionđ second of all, gods existed in Georgia before it even made contact with the Slavs. So be careful with sources).
Anyways, have a great dayđđđ

Loved your shuake Loki/Sigyn artâŚI too am a mythology enjoyer and have thought about their parallels. I do love Sigyn as the goddess of victory despite being married to Loki, who notoriously causes chaos around him LOL. Like Joker Iâd like to think Sigyn looks past Lokiâs âtrickster-likeâ tendencies and sees him for who he really is. Thatâs how Iâve always interpreted the basin/venom myth. But thatâs just my interpretation. Always fun to talk about this stuff!
thank you! <3
and yes yes yes I LOVE looking at all the history and mythology of personas- especially Loki, because I think that there's so much stuff that links to Akechi juuuust beneath the obvious "chaotic trickster god" stuff
Like, Loki in mythology as a constant scapegoat for the problems that the Aesir (I apologise for my abysmal spelling) cause? Interpreting the Aesir as Shido's conspiracy in that context is fascinating, and you can even draw a lot of parallels if you interpret them as the Phantom Thieves, too (the whole contingent relationship for their popularities, and whatnot)
(don't even get me STARTED on all the Loki/Sigyn stuff lmao- there's just. so much to draw from that comparison)
And even on a meta level, the fact that historians really struggle to find proof that Loki as a symbol of worship even existed before christian missionaries arrived in the Nordic countries? How that could be seen as a parallel to Yaldabaoth's fuckery? good shit
(Also, Loki being "the guy who solves as many problems as he causes" in the context of Akechi 'solving' a bunch of the mental shutdown and phsychotic breakdown cases is very funny to me HA)
Point is. uh. Mythology cool.

So are we going to ignore how symbolic Frigg and Sigyn both are when things start going to crap? Not only are their husbands blood brothers but their sons were killed because their fathers were assholes. đ
Don't worry I still love you Loki bbgđ
