I’ve made it this far.

Today is 30 days. Tomorrow will be 31 days. I haven’t done anything like this since April 2019.

These last 10 days have been testing my patience/ commitment/ endurance/ resilience/ agility/ nerve/ willingness/ will power…etc.

My heart hurts, my brain is burnt, and my emotions have eroded.

I think it’s safe to safely that Saturday all bets are off.

Bingqiu AU where Luo Binghe's the chosen village sacrifice to the evil deity who lives up the mountain.

Normally the village sends maidens, but they've more or less run out of expendable girls of the right age and, ahem, "virtues". So of course Luo Binghe's early life bad luck kicks in. In the wake of his mother's death there's no one to really care about what happens to him, he's fairly pretty, and the village leaders decide that if they dress him up like a girl the teenaged homeless kid should pass well enough. And hey, y'know, he's probably got a hard life ahead for him anyway -- dying in a brothel of some venereal disease or on the streets of exposure or starvation. At least as a sacrifice, everyone else gets to benefit from his loss! And the kid will get added to a shrine and be remembered as a hero! If anything, he should be happy about this!

Binghe is not happy about this.

But he's also a skinny underfed nobody who is easily overpowered, dressed up like a bride, and tied to a post. So. Not much he can do but wait for the evil deity to come and do whatever horrible thing he's gonna do to him.

Meanwhile, Shen Yuan is pretty sure he's been isekai'd into the over-powered hero of some kind of supernatural adventure story? He's not totally sure because he doesn't recognize the setting, but the signs are there. He's got a shrine-like base of operations (though it seems to have become corrupted/ruined, probably he has to restore it somehow), he has a very resilient and handsome new body with spiritual energy of some kind flowing through him, and a very clearly magical sword. Plus lots of neat starter powers! Though it feels like he has other abilities that have been blocked somehow? Probably he has to level up in order to access them.

When he treks out of his "base" and finds what seems to be a distressed maiden, he takes it for his beginner hero mission. The girl claims that she's been doomed to be sacrificed to an evil god. That sounds a little above Shen Yuan's pay grade for dealing with, so he unties her and decides that they had better just get out of the whole region altogether. He already packed up anything useful from his base, anticipating he might get caught up in an adventure once he left, so they follow the river away from the settlement until they reach another one.

While they travel, Luo Binghe tells Shen Yuan about the cursed deity, Shen Qingqiu, who was cast out of the heavens for slaughtering one of his brethren and has apparently being do-who-knows what to maidens from the local village in exchange for his "protection" ever since. Sounds like a real asshole! And also mid-level boss type bad guy at least. Shen Yuan hopes he doesn't have to fight him, but he probably will.

Thank goodness he found Binghe, though! Clearly the helpful little sister type! He's definitely going to require her assistance if he's going to figure out how to navigate this world and level up his skills enough to take on a god.

ive been trying very hard to formulate a way to say this that doesnt make me sound like an asshole but honestly ive like. given up.

youre gonna drive yourselves fucking nuts with all the doom posting. and all the "its gonna be okay, you have to live" posting isnt any less doom posting. its all the same song to a different tune.

its shitty and terrible and youre allowed to feel shitty and terrible. but its not like. gonna change because you feel shitty about it. and constantly thinking about how shitty you feel about it is just gonna make you feel worse.

go like. eat a snack or something. play a game you like. i dunno. its shitty! but dont spend your time catastrophizing. drink some fuckin water or whatever other cheesy bullshit keeps you occupied while you process.

just had the thought 'in the end the most important thing varric taught rook was how to make a home for, with, and in other people' and then I had to go lie down on the floor and clutch at my head in unceasing agony for a few hours, as you may well imagine. hawke and the kirkwall crew........ in the end you kind of saved the world a bit in the most characteristically indirect and chaotic of ways. not by anything in particular that you did or achieved or accomplished (lmao imagine!), but just by -- having existed, and by the love that was always there, despite it all, in all its imperfections, even when no one was saved by it in the end. you're not here right now and you're not quite haunting the narrative but I hear your voices bickering and arguing and laughing from the other room. (and so, I think, does varric. all the time.)

once again the muppet is causing me Medical Anxiety! just had to drop over $300 on an emergency vet visit because of worrisome poops, and I'd like to take her in to her regular vet for some proper bloodwork/urinalysis, since i couldn't afford to do those at the emergency vet 🙃

I really wish I could be convinced that more people would be interested in non-ship stuff for fandoms I'm in.

Look, we all know we write for ourselves. I get it. I do. But my desire (ability) to finish things is hinged on feedback. My two longest fics that I wrote the fastest were because of audience engagement. And because I knew I had people I respected and liked reading, and I wanted them to enjoy the read, I wrote better.

Now I feel like I'm just stuck in No Man's Land of fandom, and while I have like a dozen things half finished, they never seem to actually BE finished because if the audience is me, then I know how it ends. There's not much point writing it down.

So this is basically my To Do List.

The Rookie - I just don't care about what 90% of the fandom cares about

1. Series of one shots that establish Angela and Tim's BFF status that may or may not lean Tim aspec because I'm me.

2. Pre series flashbacks to Tim in his time in service when he survives an airstrike that kills two of his friends and almost kills him.

3. Trauma Tim post season 6, because in rapid succession, he loses his job on metro, he witnesses his old team die in a way eerily similar to the way he was almost killed in the airstrike, had a friend commit suicide in front of him after confessing to being dirty, gets accused of being dirty himself, and is again almost killed in close quarter combat (among other things that will remain unmentioned here)

Slow Horses

1. Do not ask me why but I love the idea that Lamb potentially met River was he was a kid because he had to work closely with David Cartwright and River is always where he's not supposed to be

2. River goes missing, and for once, not his fault. Lamb has to come to terms that just because he pretends not to care, doesn't mean anyone buys it

3. Post season 4, somebody finds out that River is the last remaining son of Frank's assassin cult, and it goes about as well as can be expected. I fully intend to have Lamb use this line: "trying to detain you is like trying to nail jello to a tree".

Magnum PI (yes, I still work on these)

1. Finish Wrong Side. I actually have like another 10-15k words on it, but it's not in order or complete scenes, but it does include Thomas’s recovery and discovery that Hannah is the one who sold them out

2. I have like 6 other chapters to Bad Things Happen that I half wrote but then retired the card

3. Crossover with MacGyver because I thought Mac could use some down time in Hawaii after season 4 and the last half of season 3

Tracker 1. Colter goes missing during one of his cases, and I borrow heavily from an episode of Lethal Weapon wherein Colter will be held hostage in an illegal drug trial that he stumbled into and now finds himself an unwilling participant, and I drag Russell into it because that is how big brothers work

Hudson & Rex - honestly, I have the most written for this fandom, even though the fandom itself is pretty quiet, but it's most of a bingo card 1. Finish Oh The Weather Outside is Frightful because damn son it's been years

2. In no particular order, I have Bad Things Happen Bingo It's Not My Blood, Stitches, Caught in a Snare, Falls Through the Ice and three others that fit other prompts - a boating accident, Charlie finally finds himself at the bottom of a well (sort of) and completes his "Timmy and Lassie Scenario" bingo card, and where Charlie realizes he's developed claustrophobia after having a mine collapse on him, being locked in a freezer storage, almost crushed by a shipping container, buried alive, etc and gets stuck in an elevator with Jesse

i think you can be as critical about the venezuelan opposition and maría corina and edmundo as you want but arent venezuelans allowed to choose for themselves even if the options arent perfect? are you willing to justify electoral fraud and police brutality, class inequality, bad management of resources, lack of maintenance of the country, breach of the law, lack of investment in health services and education etc etc just because the person doing it is someone you like or because you don't like the other option? are people at fault for wanting something different?

Underworld Office headcanons!

(UwO exclusive, haven't played CiU yet)

★Sometimes, when the situation calls for it, River and Joan threaten Eugene with Boss like a mother threatening a child that they'll tell their dad after he's back from work.

★After locking Charlie in her cane, Joan can sometimes hear his(or hers or theirs I don't know the game keeps switching the pronounce) quiet, faint screams. She just smirks a little at that.

★Eugene sometimes feeds stray cats.

★Linda likes to tell puns sometimes. They're cheesy, really cheesy. But Eugene can't help but giggle quietly to himself whenever he hears them while walking to or from school. He somehow finds them funny. He didn't tell anyone but Sean managed to catch on. He didn't tell Eugene he knows yet but he really appreciates Eugene finding his mom's jokes amusing.

★Eugene learned where Sean's grave lays and he'd sometimes come visit it with a flower from Linda's flower shop. Sean doesn't know it's Eugene so he thinks it's his mom. Eugene isn't planning on correcting him anytime soon.

★Eugene visits Finley and Tatum a lot. He's still not very talkative but he gladly plays with them and even takes them back to the playground from time to time.

★When there's danger (for example monsters) and Sean is talking with someone, his first instinct is to pick them up and run.

★Hayden pouts. A lot. Even for no reason.

★There's an unspoken rule in the office that there's no swearing allowed in front of Hayden or Eugene. River would sometimes almost slip up but then Boss would whack her. Eugene doesn't usually pick up on River's slip up and gets confused and startled when Boss suddenly whacks her with his fan.

★Eugene wanted to give something to River since she doesn't have anything the way Boss has his fan, ect. He tried to fall asleep while holding something but it didn't work as he planned and his spirit left his body with nothing. He never told her about it even though he tried that a couple of times.

★Hayden is the only one from the office ghosts that can't handle being outside during the day. Of course, it's tiring for all of them but he takes it the worst.

★Boss is very against anyone or himself spying on Eugene's private life but there was a situation. Eugene's been coming to the office with scars on his hands and face and he avoided answering any questions. As much as Boss was against it, he followed Eugene out of concern. Turns out Eugene was just trying to hug stray cats but they'd get mad at him and he was too embarrassed to admit to it.

★One time, Eugene saw a humanoid silhouette in the corner of his eye and thought that someone was following him. He got startled, only to realize that it was actually just his own shadow.

★Boss sometimes stands by a window, his hands behind his back, staring off into the distance as he gets lost in thought.

★River plans crimes for fun.

★Sean never learned how to swim. Just float awkwardly on his back. Even Hayden can swim better and he never swam without his floaties.
