gonna say, something or someone being misogynistic is on its own a good enough reason not to like it or not to spend time with that person. It's not just that misogyny is so normalised that not watching a show or not spending with someone just because of misogyny is treated as not enough of a reason - it's also that as a woman, you are under constant scrutiny and constantly thrown tests to show that you are 'not one of the difficult ones', that you can 'take a joke'.

But 'your friend keeps saying degrading things about women' is a good enough reason not to hang out with that person or not to go to a gathering. 'i read the last book by his author and it was deeply misogynistic' is a good enough reason why you don't want to read things by that author anymore. 'This comedian specifically makes a lot of mean-spirited jokes about women' reason enogh not to watch that or see that show, even if your friends want to go. 'This content creator keeps going on weird tangents about women' reason enough not to watch their stuff or support them.

and it is especially a very good reason not to date someone.

They were so bad at their jobs in the first seasons.

Like, they knew how to hunt, they both were really good at finding what was killing people and killing it, but they were horrible at being people.

The Sam and Dean I remember: Fake FBI, fake National Security, Fake reporters, almost no issues Season 1 and 2 Sam and Dean: Constantly getting doors slammed into their faces, had to climb over fences and break into the place they needed anyways because no one ever believed them. Go somewhere as National Security, the real National Security appears immediately after.

In a hypothetical Danny Phantom reboot, i think Vlad as main antagonist should appear a bit more often and have a recurrent plan that builds up through the season/series.

I was thinking of something like he was doing in Reign Storm that hinted at him working on a bigger plan before that idea got dropped later.

We could get scenes in episodes where he isn't the ¨monster of the week¨ exploring his character or giving hints in what he is working at while the plot A is about Danny doing other things. This could help with keeping up the intrigue and building up the main arc. This could be applied to other characters like Valerie as well.

I did not remember the cancer arc to be this romantic.. so chuck's original ending was low-jeopardy, uninspired, lacking cas. but because becky "gave notes," chuck wrote a new, worse ending out of spite. "awful, horrible, hopeless." then he killed becky's family in front of her and then he killed her too.

i generally do not believe the people who worked on spn had active contempt for the fans. but it's hard not to take this personally, especially given 15x20.

when you're into the Big Ship™ in a Big Fandom™, you have the luxury of having an OTP - a real One True Pairing, where you can read about just them for ages, and you will never run out of fics, and everything is perfect and beautiful and nothing hurts

but when you go to a smaller fandom, you'd better pray to whatever god you worship that someone else in this room ships the same thing that you do, and that if they do, they're writing more than late-night crackfic, because you're on thin fucking ice!

and how small is your small fandom? is it less than 100 fics? maybe even...less than 20 fics?

welp, then it's time to make peace with that god and either open up a text document or learn how to ship everything, because it's swim or drown babey! and your ship is sinking fast

anyway all of this is to say that after hanging out in small fandoms and shipping less-common pairings for a while, going back into a Big Huge Fandom™ is wild because suddenly it's like...wait, why didn't I ship these people again? I don't remember. why was I only sticking to one ship in this fandom?? boring of me, honestly. these guys should make out.
