Any idea who that could be and what that person's role is? Maybe it would give us a hint about what the rebrand could possibly be

Ben is the only person from Edinburgh i can think of. but idk if he still lives there when he is not working (aka travelling for work). and he was Dan's and later dnp's stage manager, and he is their friend. seeing James (allegedly) with Dan at the Fringe is... interesting, 'cause he is also an employee became friend. so i'm not surprised to see them spending time together, especially 'cause he is in the events industry.

not sure it means anything for phannies, unless dnp are planning performances already, lmao.

like, currently? no idea, the last place i know of was Southampton. but i'm going through every picture of him that i have, and it's this nose, eyebrows and hairline, soooo i'm 90% sure it's him. whoever took that shot, big thank you!

CONTEXT: so on youtube there are usernames, channel names, and handles. all of which can be different. take for example the YouTube channel with the username "danielhowell" (youtube.com/user/danielhowell), the channel name "danielhowell" (youtube.com/danielhowell OR youtube.com/c/danielhowell*), and the handle "@/danielhowell" (youtube.com/[at]danielhowell). dan's youtube CHANNEL and USERNAME are still danisnotonfire (youtube.com/danisnotonfire and youtube.com/user/danisnotonfire), and both take you to his Daniel Howell channel (with the handle @/danielhowell). basically, dan's rebrand changed his handle but nothing else. currently, the gaming channel's username, channel name, and handle are all "danandphilgames."

HERE'S WHERE THE REBRAND COMES IN: there is a youtube channel, danandphil, that was created in january 2014. previously, this channel's handle AND channel name were both "danandphil" (youtube.com/[at]danandphil in june 2024, youtube.com/danandphil in june 2024). (note: the username danandphil (youtube.com/user/danandphil) is a dead-end, and as far as I'm aware, has never been linked to a channel.) so, a year ago, the handle @/danandphil was still linked to the channel "danandphil." HOWEVER, recently**, @/danandphil has been unlinked to the channel. youtube.com/[at]danandphil brings you to an error page, and you can additionally see the handle no longer shows up on youtube.com/danandphil (you can also access the channel through youtube.com/c/danandphil):

so basically, some time in the past couple months, the handle @/danandphil has been unlinked from the "danandphil" channel, which means I think pretty soon the gaming channel handle will be changed from @/danandphilgames to just @/danandphil, in the same way that dan changed his handle from @/danisnotonfire to @/danielhowell. thank you for coming to my phed talk
