once again remembering that dream i had where Drawtectives season 3’s first episode came out and the plot started with the gang slightly updating Rosé, York, and Grandma’s designs. But then the story started and the three got abducted or stolen away by the main bad of the season.

So Julia had the three design new characters for the season, which the gang already knew was gonna happen ahead of time and all already had ideas they hadn’t shared with each other yet.

Anyways, cut to Julia growing more and more distressed as it turns out all three of them made just,, normal ass cats.

Like, I’m remembering Nathan going first and I can literally hear his nervous laughter growing more into just disbelief. Jacob’s just like, “I can’t believe this.” and Karina is all for it, gremlin that she is.

But yeah, that’s all I remember. I just find it so funny…

Ok, I do not have much to contribute theory- wise, but I still wanna talk about some things. So, it's a Drawtectives Season 3 trailer visuals appreciation post!

First of all, holy shit, Julia, how much carpal tunnel did you order?!!?! This shot looks so fucking cool!!!! And the rendering???!?!?!?! Immaculate!!

Also, these character redesigns look like they're gonna be hot as hell and I cannot wait to see them!!

Also this was so beautiful, my jaw was on the floor!! The slow slide animation thing? Love that. I wish I could get a higher res version of this so I could use it as a desktop wallpaper!!

Also, the neon city 80s vapourwave aesthetic? That is so my jam!! Also the music fucking slapped! It was so fun and it matched the vibe so well!!

Also also, the thumbnail art looks so fucking cool!! But, it does strike me that Eugene(?) is in the thumbnail but not in the trailer. I wonder why?

In the art, he's eyeless and cast in red and there is a murder again....

So, I had a thought that maybe it was Eugene that was murdered? But that can't be right, because from the voice clips we heard, the crew didn't seemed too phased. I feel like of Eugene were dead, they'd have a grave-er reaction.

Also, Julia wouldn't do that to us! Right? I'm...I'm scared

Anyway, can't wait!!

Release Info

There have been 5 episodes recorded over the past 1.5 years (June 2023-September 2024)

There is a tentative date set that will go through as long as it is reasonable to animate the first episode quick enough

It WILL release in 2024 no matter what!

The size of the season’s files is over 78GB not including two of the large episodes

Content Info

Grandma, York, and Rosé return!

These are the hosts’ favourite designs for them

Eugene will not be part of the season (though references to S2 are likely bound to happen)

There will be an orc witness that Julia was determined to include (possibly Grayson Map, possibly a new character)

There will be a main theme made by People Need Goals just like S2

There will be a guest in S3E03
