see my issue is that i literally have an entire Warrior Cats OC universe where the entire purpose is to "give every single character a backstory however small"
and there's already about 500 characters give or take yknow. and like. i already have the stories all plotted out and yet
and yet i keep sitting here and thinking to myself "well but what motivates this character? why are they doing this? what was their story?"
and like YES that's the entire POINT but i NEED TO STOP I CANT KEEP WRITING MORE AND MORE THE *TIMELINE DOCUMENT* IS ALREADY 84 PAGES LONG AND IM STILL IN THE REVERSE (prequel and DOTC-esque) GENERATIONS
#sitting here thinking about the fact that Whiteear and Pigeonnose were siblings and Cinder and Lily were Pigeon's kits#and Whiteear manipulated Lily to do his bidding and she killed Pigeon#and technically the story much like canon warriors never considers the fact that they are siblings#but like. what is Whiteear's story how did he get there and how did Pigeon get there#she was deputy. he was medicine cat#she was noble and brave. he was evil and cowardly#warrior cats#warriors#warriors ocs#wc#generations#reverse generations#whiteear#pigeonnose#cinderstar#cindernose#lilymoon#cinderpaw#lilypaw#moonclan#skyclan#random

Pls ramble about Maplestar i didn't think much of him at all when he was around
:3
okay so imagine. You are born into Fallenclan as a fresh little kitten. You are told at a very young age that your mom isn't around anymore, but your dad loves you and your two siblings more than anything, and he will do everything in his power to make sure you all are happy and successful. Your siblings are louder than you, more outgoing than you, and arguably more likeable than you, but they look to you as the cat to follow when your dad isnt around, so it's your job to look after them. You're the oldest, after all.
Later into your kithood you are told that your mother died giving birth to the three of you. If you didnt exist, she would still be alive.
You become an apprentice. Your sister is mentored by the cool older cat that is also your friend's mom. Your brother is mentored by one of your dad's best friends, a cat you've known since birth. You are apprenticed to the deputy of Fallenclan--she cares about you, and the clan, but she's also strict, and tells you in no uncertain terms that she expects you to be great. Not good. Great. You think, "If I am not great, is it my fault?" You try your best. You wonder if it is enough.
You become a warrior. Your sister takes on a mate, your brother does, too. Both of them have kits. You never were interested in having a mate, but you can't help but wonder if that's what your clan, your father, wants you to do. Your father, in the meanwhile, takes over the job that your mentor had, and becomes deputy of Fallenclan. Then he becomes leader. He becomes legend. Cats at gatherings say to you, "You must be so proud!" You are. When your back is turned, they say "The son of Goldenstar, he'll be something special, I'm sure."
The deputy, a cat known for her strength, loyalty, and honor, retires, and chooses you out of everyone to take her place. Your father assures you that you'll do great. Your siblings cheer you on and offer their support. You refuse it, politely. You will be a great deputy if you have to pull out all of your fur to do it--and you will do it by yourself. Are you really great if some of your greatness is borrowed? The whole clan depends on you.
Under the cover of night, the clan is attacked. The former deputy dies. One of your best friends dies. Your brother dies. Four kits, six warriors, and one elder die. You are hardly wounded. For moons you keep the night guard and torture yourself thinking about what you could have done to change things. What you could have done better.
Time passes. You age, your sister ages, your father ages. As leader, he has nine lives, but they slowly dwindle. One evening, he's missing from camp longer than he said he would be, and you and your sister go looking for him. You find his body at the bottom of a cliff. You grieve until sundown, and then you travel to receive your nine lives. You see the faces of all the cats you outlived. All the cats you failed. Your niece and great-nephew, your brother, your mentor, your father, your mother. You wake up and it is only you and your medicine cat huddled together in a cave. Your skin hurts, you can feel each fur on your body. You walk home.
You discover that your former apprentice is a murderer. With no other options, you exile him from the clan and watch as he is escorted away. If you had been a better mentor, would he have lived a kinder life? Would he have forgiven his long-time enemy? You'll never find out.
A neighboring clan, which has had it out for Fallenclan since your father was an apprentice, declares war. You run yourself ragged making plans and trying to keep your warriors safe and alive. There are battles, there are scars, but there are no deaths, and the war ends only a few moons later. You congratulate yourself for this feat, and then wonder why it was only when you became leader that war was declared.
Every death that passes, you wonder if you could have prevented it. Every loss that your sister suffers, your nephews and nieces suffer, you contemplate how to fix. You are old now, and there are few Fallenclan cats that knew you before you were an apprentice, before you were a warrior, before you were deputy or leader. You're not a cat, anymore, you are a shelter; protecting your clan and paying little mind to your own needs.
You take a hunting patrol by yourself, late one night. In a dry riverbed, you feel the ground rumble, and look upstream to see a flash flood clawing its way towards you.
You wonder, "Am I fast enough to outrun it?"
You aren't.
#RRGHHHH. RRAHGHHHH. MAPLESTAR. RHRHHGHGHH. CHEWING.#fallenasks#fallenfic#< id say this kind of counts#everyone use all your brainpower to think about maplestar#hope all this makes sense. it does in my sick little brain

here’s my timeline, spanning from the autumn of 1997 when bluestar was born to the summer of 2004 when fire and ice ends. I love being autistic. It’s not complete.
it is mostly focusing on spottedleaf and mousefur’s lives and trying to figure out their timelines, because the “bluestar leadership pre-ITW” 2 year period is like a dumping ground of vague darkness where every single thunderclan historical event gets sent to die. sometime during that is when a bunch of warriors get disabled, renamed and sent to the elders den. that’s also when thistleclaw dies. I do not respect novella canon btw. those things r full of lies
one thing the timeline has revealed to me that i am very fond of is redtail and bluestar. he became a warrior at the same time as she became deputy, after a very short apprenticeship. he’s given mousefur as an apprentice almost instantly after becoming a warrior. he’s only like 6 months older than her and he’s only had 6 months of apprentice training and no warrior experience! but he does a good job. and clearly bluefur sees something in him. within the year she’s leader with him as her deputy. her right hand man :)
literally a month or two before rusty shows up is a massive plague that kills 7 cats total, including featherwhisker, so spottedleaf only becomes the sole medicine cat at this point. she receives what’s probably her first prophecy (fire alone) and then her brother gets murdered to death and she is dead too within six months. a short and crazy career for her and honestly no wonder she became obsessed with being like a spirit mentor to fireheart. can u imagine if u got the prophecy for the chosen one and then ur like oh boy i JUST got promoted to being the leader of the church around here and it’s my job to guide the chosen one? and then u get murdered. And ur like. Was that really my life’s work. it can’t be over. That was too important. anyway
my main 2 resources for this are the timeline on the warriors wiki, which has its own firestar-as-jesus style of dating … YBF=years before firestar . I love it. Then there’s kate carys timeline which sets Into The Wild into 2003, the year it was published. I love that too. It feels right. I merged those, so if you’re on the warriors wiki, 1YBF is 2002, 2YBF is 2001, etc . 1997 is 6YBF. 2004 is year 2. i supplemented the available info from the blog and wiki with my own research in the books. I favoured earlier and main series canon over later and novella canon, though super editions like bluestar’s prophecy and crookedstar’s promise took precedence over TPB where I felt the info made more sense. there are almost certainly fuckups. Some stuff I couldn’t find any canon mention of so I just put it where it logically would’ve had to go.
yeahhh so that’s basically that. it’s something ive got as a supplemental thing for my spottedmouse writing and drawing. Always working on it.

Haven't been catting it out as much as I've liked, so as compensation here's all four leaders + some lore about the clans: Thunderclan
Born a kittypet named Christian, Eaglestar initially joined Thunderclan after being cast out onto the streets by his twolegs and the leader taking pity on him. However, Eaglestar proved to be incredibly cunning, working his way up the ranks and using his connections to eventually take the reins of the clan altogether. With this newfound power, Eaglestar naturally abuses it for all its' worth through using it to solve petty disputes and get out of hunting for the day. He has deep-rooted beef with the Shadowclan leader who he's been rivals with since apprenticeship, constantly taking any opportunity he can to one-up or antagonize her.
Riverclan
The youngest of the four leaders at just 23 moons, Reedstar was far from the first pick for leader in the eyes of his clan. After a flood destroyed most of their camp and took the lives of both their leader and deputy in one fell swoop, the clan waited with bated breath for the medicine cat to announce the decision of their new leader. To every cat's surprise however, the medicine cat chose to appoint the easygoing Reeddance of all people, much to the shock and outrage of most of the clan who saw him as unfit. Reedstar tries his best to meet the needs of these agitated cats, but his inexperience just leads most of his efforts to be used as more fuel for the hate mob as rumors of a possible civil war in Riverclan began to spread around like wildfire. Shadowclan
Azaleastar took up the mantle of leader many moons ago after the former deputy was mysteriously found dead in their nest, and she just so happened to be the next best cat to take on the new position. Being one of the best ambush-fighters in her clan, Azaleastar had always had a knack for spotting points of weakness she could exploit... and what better opportunity was there than a broken, divided clan with a hare-brained idiot for a leader? After the flood, she's been picking at Riverclan bit by bit, giddily exploiting their lack of unison for free territory with the intention of taking over their entire hunting grounds and putting her name in the history books. The only thing keeping her from invasion is the threat of Thunderclan, who've been making advances on her territory while they're busy with Riverclan. Windclan
Not wanting to engage with the other three clans, Mangrovestar keeps Windclan in a strict state of isolation. He doesn't care to involve himself in the conflict between Riverclan and Shadowclan, instead just wanting to maintain the prosperity that's reigned in his clan for these past few moons. Of the four leaders currently active, he's easily the most popular amongst his clan for his amicable nature and appearing (mostly) morally good in comparison. However, Mangrovestar tends to be very biased and easily swayed in regard to his judgement which can rub cats the wrong way whenever they're forced to clean the elders' den for a moon while his favorites get little more than a slap on the wrist.
#total drama#warrior cats#td chris#chris mclean#td geoff#td blaineley#td don#warrior cats au#the bangs came with their 9 lives (this is incredibly important to the lore)#blaineleys easily my favorite design of the four btw i love calicos sm#super proud of the fur earrings on her I wanted her to look extra spiffy#also geoff gave me hell. his head. why does it do that. why. he looks like a flatfish... why is he like this#other two were pretty simple though#in fact so simple that in chris's case I had to edit his design because it was scaring me how much he just looked like regular chris 💀#my art#TD warrior cats au

My sister got me to read some Warrior Cats books so here are some other OCs I've AUed into cats:
Hedvig/Dewshine (she/her) - Pretty silver-ginger she-cat. Deputy to her clan and definitely not planning to usurp leadership
Elisedd/Embereye (he/him) - Massive black colourpoint tom. Former medicine cat apprentice before being exiled, and now looking for revenge
Lizaveta/Stagtooth (she/her) - Broad cream tabby she-cat. Bloodthirsty and proud warrior, eager to keep other clans in line
Maya/Shadowleap (she/her) - Sleek black she-cat. Quiet deputy to another clan with a speciality in information-gathering
Alexei/Mousenose (he/she/they) - Thick-furred black tabby. Gossipy warrior curious to see how things play out and how they can stay on the winning team
#warrior cats#wc#warrior cats ocs#ocs#overthrone#character design#cats#art#i've read like 24 books in the past 27 days#help#my programming brain immediately went to learn cat colour genetics and create tools to randomly generate cats and litters#i have way too much fun trying to convert these sorts of designs into realistic genetics#these are my 'princess seduces fairytale villains' ocs#it's very funny because hedvig and alexei are soft nobility and absolutely not suited for a warrior life

MOON 10
Buckle in your seatbelts my friends, we’ve got a massive moon ahead of us. Lots of big, important things happened this moon!
First up!
Bonespeckle agreed to venture with Dovewhisker out onto a frozen pond. Bonespeckle went first while Dovewhisker hung back. Bonespeckle slid around playfully, taunting the other cat to chase her.
She was about to launch another teasing remark when the ice cracked below her paws. Dovewhisker lingered to make sure she didn't surface before running back to camp with a yowl.
Mantisclan has no deputy!
Larkshade fusses gently with Bonespeckle's fur, hiding the evidence of what killed her. She wants to remember her as she was in life, not like this. As the days pass, Larkshade becomes angry and withdrawn. It feels like the entire Clan is just moving on from Bonespeckle's death, which she refuses to do.
Quietstar lies next to Bonespeckle as the Clan sits vigil for her. Her world has ended with Bonespeckle. Quietstar never considered the possibility that she’d one day be without Bonespeckle. She visits her grave, gazing blankly, unmovingly, at the ground for hours on end.
Frankly, they're all better off without Bonespeckle, and Dovewhisker doesn't know why everyone else is so grief stricken.
After many nights spent mourning her mate, Quietstar finally appoints a new second-in-command.
Dovewhisker.
His level head and emotional detachment are just what Quietstar needs out of a deputy at the moment. The fact he tried his very best to save Bonespeckle just proves he is worthy of the position.
In her grief-stricken recklessness, Larkshade fought a rogue, and while she drove the trespasser away, she needed to be rushed to the medicine den afterwards.
Whew! That was a lot! Hope you’re doing okay emotionally after all that :)

Slightstar takes Dahliafade, her new deputy, on a patrol to see a spot she deems as "the most important part of their territory." Dahliafade is apprehensive, and when they reach the place, she is horrified.
It's a lake. A huge, terrifying lake, a lake so big she can't even see the other side of it. Slightstar tries to tell Dahliafade about the beauty of the lake and its protector, the powerful Molly of the Lake. Dahliafade, however, isn't impressed as Slightstar thought she would be; she runs. As Dahliafade comes to a stop, she remembers the moment that caused her to fear the water; Poppybloom, Medicine Cat of MouseClan, had warned her of her coming doom, an omen signaling to distrust the water in all its forms. Slightstar apologizes to Dahliafade for scaring her, having only wanted to share the beauty of her beliefs with her, and sadly remembers how little she has of her mother now that she is gone. Meanwhile, Brightpaw laments that clan cats don't have more interesting stories and tales to pass down. All he hears about are StarClan and the Dark Forest, hardly groundbreaking concepts... His brother, Avalanchepaw, listens patiently. Brightpaw's melancholy is interrupted by Daisypaw, who shyly asks him if he has heard of the tales of the Molly of the Lake.
Wow this one came out so quickly! I really just blasted through working on this. It was a tonne of fun to do! I tried a new work flow for this one and not only did everything go faster, it was also SO much fun to put together! I hope you all enjoy this :)

Obligatory warrior cats au anybody? (caine’s design takes off years of me studying character designing but oh well)
I haven’t really developed this au much but from what I’ve got so far, they’re all not actually in a real clan and got stuck inside some sort of dream realm in which they cannot escape from. They can’t go back to their regular clans because they cannot wake up whatsoever.
-Caine (Toothstar) in this au, instead of an ai, is a figment of everybody’s imaginations and is the only one who can control what happens in the dream. His very strange deputy is a poodle named Bubble who will fortunately never become leader after Toothstar because they are not real and cannot die.
-Pomni (Poppyjump) is still the same, except she is a completely fish out of water character since she is the only kittypet out of the bunch. Yes, Jax bullies her a lot for that.
-Ragatha (Ragbloom) is still the same as ever, and is still afraid of centipedes in her moss bedding no thanks to Jax. She has a soft spot for kittypets and kits and is the first to help them.
-Jax (Harestride) continues to be the bully out of the bunch, and the youngest. Before getting stuck in the dream realm, he had just gotten his warrior name and is bitter that he never got a chance to be an actual warrior
-Kinger (Woodtwitch) has been in the realm the longest. He used to be with Queenie (no warrior name as of right now) until she got abstracted or whatever is the same thing in this au. He is the only elder, and his fortress is the realm’s elder’s den, which he used to share with Queenie. He’s still into insects.
-Zooble (Scrapclaw) used to be a kittypet like Pomni but due to unknown reasons, they were forced to fend for themselves as a rogue/stray outside of the clans, hence their worn out collar. No one really knows how they ended up in the realm, but for some strange reason they are the best warrior/fighter there despite never having training.
-Gangle (Tanglepelt) is still very soft-spoken and often cries a lot. She was unfit to be a warrior, and preferred to become a medicine cat, which she does best at. Jax often bullies her because she’s an easy target, but Scrapclaw is quick to protect her and teach her how to defend herself.

The Blueflower AU
The Blueflower AU is an AU I came up with about a year ago! In this universe, Bluestar is actually a medicine cat named Blueflower!
It all starts after Moonflower’s death. Bluepaw begins to neglect her training as a warrior apprentice, and after struggling with Sunfall for a few moons, she tells him that she wants to train as a medicine cat instead. She announces it publicly to the clan at the same time Pinestar decides to leave to become a kittypet. Her choice is not well-received, but both Featherwhisker and Sunfall (soon-to-be Sunstar), stand by her and allow her to begin her training. Snowpaw and Goosefeather in particular are especially unhappy about all of this.
Snowpaw, feeling abandoned and confused, grows closer to Thistlepaw. This of course only puts more of a strain on she and Bluepaw’s relationship. Meanwhile, Bluepaw is also trying not to be bothered by Goosefeather’s ranting. He comes to her multiple times, insisting that she’s denying her true destiny and disobeying Starclan. She ignores him, and starts to resent him.
Bluepaw, now struggling to be close with any of her kin in Thunderclan, begins to form relationships outside of her clan. Namely with Yellowfang and Oakpaw, who, in this AU, is also a medicine cat. She and Yellowfang quickly bonded over the fact that they previously trained as warriors, and Oakpaw gives her the opportunity to let go of all her stress and expectations.
Finally, Bluepaw earns her medicine cat name. Featherwhisker chooses Blueflower, in honor of her mother. Despite her clan’s initial reservations, she’s become a trusted medicine cat. Both Stormtail and Snowfur are disappointed, but Snowfur tries to be supportive. Blueflower is elated that her sister seems to want to rekindle their strained relationship… Until she learns that Snowfur is expecting Thistleclaw’s kits. She can’t help but feel a bit betrayed that Thistleclaw, who’s terrorized her for moons, is the cat that Snowfur chooses as her mate. Still, she tries to remain close with Snowfur, not wanting to lose her again after moons of hardly speaking. Besides, she can always vent her frustrations to Oakheart.
Snowfur’s kits arrive, and Blueflower adores Whitekit. Thistleclaw isn’t fond of Blueflower’s presence, and fears she’ll make him “soft” or encourage him to become a medicine cat. But, in this AU, Snowfur lives, and he knows he can’t exactly threaten Blueflower with her around.
Oakheart and Blueflower start to spend even more time together, and Blueflower is surprised when she starts to develop feelings for him. She tries to suppress them, but fails. Besides, it’s so easy to hide it all behind “medicine cat duties”. They meet once every full moon anyway, if not more. Maybe they could hide it, maybe no one will find out.
Of course, Yellowfang isn’t that naive. She tries to warn Blueflower, but knows she won’t listen. She’s the first one Blueflower confides in when she learns that she’s expecting kits, and wishes she could do something to help, but ultimately there’s nothing she can do. Blueflower confides in Snowfur about her kits, and they pull a Leafpool and Squirrelflight.
Thistleclaw, who has recently been appointed as the Thunderclan deputy, is thrilled to have three more kits, but he is not happy about how much time Blueflower is spending with them - even more so than with Whitekit.
I’ll add more to the story later, but for now, that’s all!

pov : willice rants about The Broken Code Jayfeather (SPOILERS FOR THE BROKEN CODE)
It's been a full year now that I decided to re-read every single Warrior Cats books, as a teenager I stopped at OotS, so I re-read all of TPB, TNP, PoT and OotS. I am done with DotC (I have many opinions) and just finished AvoS, so I am starting TBC (currently at book 2).
Clearly the Writing Team™ has big, big issues with how to handle Jayfeather and his personality. Jayfeather was meant te be blunt and to freely voice his anger and concerns with little respects for other feelings sometimes, but he was never meant to be outright mean and antagonistic, was he ?
He went from a personal favorite of mine in PoT and OotS to a very unlikable character in TBC. He actively bullies and isolates Twigkit in AvoS (when he was previously known to be patient with kits??), but I can tolerate this mischaracterization i guess
But TBC Jayfeather ??? I don't know if it's just the Writing Team™ being extremely bad at understanding his character, or if it's the first symptoms of the Onestar disease, but I am kind of scared of how he will evolve in the 4 following books :(((
In the first two books of TBC, Jayfeather can hardly go through a single conversation with / about Shadowsight without straight up insulting him, his intelligence and competences. He had opinions about Willowshine and Kestrelflight, but he would rarely, if ever, straight up disrespect them to their face like that. Now, he actively participates in all the gossip around Shadowsight and characters will say "Jayfeather said Shadowsight is just a featherhead !" because Jay's opinion is that valued and important. (idk the actual English insults, all my books are in French, so you will have to suffer the French horrors sorry guys 😔)
At some point, during a Gathering, Jayfeather just tells everyone that Mothwing doesn't believe in StarClan. In front of the five Clans, the leaders, the deputies, the other warriors, like, everyone. Just because he was personally pissed at her opinion.
Just as a reminder, the Clans are all extremely faithful and the lack of faith has been a plot point several times, showing emphasis on how important it is for all cats to show devotion to StarClan. Medicine cats are literally meant to talk to StarClan. And in general, the Clans are known to be agressive to anyone who doesn't respect StarClan, thinking that if you don't follow StarClan's commands then you don't have any moral values at all.
Another reminder, Mothwing is not only the daughter of Tigerclawstar, she is also an ex rogue. She got her medicine cat title only because her brother created a fake omen, because her status as an ex-rogue made her an outcast in her own Clan. Mothwing has been known to be more vulnerable to isolation than other medicine cats.
So huh, yeah, Jayfeather just put Mothwing, an already vulnerable she-cat, in extreme danger, throwing her under the bus in front of absolutely everyone, including her own leader, her own deputy, most of her clanmates, and most of the other Clans members. Mothwing is shocked, obviously, and quickly says that she does believe StarClan is real, just isn't devoted to them.
The response of the Clans to this revelation is so out of character and disconnected from their agressive violent culture that I had to re-read the whole thing a few times.
The Clans just go "weird flex mothwing, but ok" and go back to their business (business being : questioning why StarClan isn't communicating with them anymore). From what I know, the revelation Jayfeather just made is never going to impact the story ever again because Mothwing gets banished for the crime of being a ShadowClan cat's child. So this whole scene is just there to show that Jayfeather will use precious informations against others if he gets annoyed at them ??? I don't know if this is bad writing or character assassination at this point man😔my po3 jayfeather would never.
None the less, Jayfeather KNEW how dangerous such a revelation could have been. Every single medicine cat, including her own apprentice Willowshine, kept the secret, because they all KNEW it would endanger Mothwing if the Clans discovered the state of her faith. This was literally a plot point in TNP with Leafpool like COME ON WRITING TEAM™ YOU HAVE TO LOCK IN !!!!!
I know this scene is canon (sadly), but this depiction of Jayfeather is just so alien to me. Jayfeather knows what it's like to be different and to be special, why would he insult Shadowsight over and over again when the kid is obviously struggling ? Also Jayfeather has been accused of murder and was on thin ice at some point, he knows what it's like to be accused in front of a whole Gathering, why would he do that to Mothwing out of all cats ???
Do you have any opinions on this ? Do you think this is just normal Jayfeather behavior, or do you think it is the Writing Team struggling to grasp Jay's personality ? I would like to know what you feel about that because from all the fandom discourse I did read, no one ever talked about how flabbergasting Jayfeather's behavior would be
In conclusion the real impostor is jayfeather

house md warrior cats au. house is unaffiliated with clan cats, claiming he prefers loner life due to his kittypet heritage that leaves him open for clan-typical prejudices. still, sometimes he can be persuaded to be a hired cat for clans swept through with surprise illness or those without a medicine cat -- he's fickle but he bores easily, too, so he can bear some jeering in exchange for something to do. the only clan leader that seems to like him somewhat is codstar (cuddy) (cudstar is too unfortunate a name for her she's too pretty to be named president barf)
i'm thinking...... house used to be in plainsclan [codstar's clan, before she was leader] until his leg. maybe it wasn't an infarction, maybe a snake bite, maybe an infected wound?? either way he was out of commission and his judgment on his own treatment was not trusted (despite literally being a medicine cat) and instead deferred to those closest to him -- his best friend, codstar, and his mate, stillsight (stacy. like 'stay-see'. i thought actually saying 'staysee' but that looks awful like incredibly caucasian take on the name stacy)
as he was the only medicine cat at the time, no one's actually sure if them doing as house said while fevered and ill would have given him a better outcome than he got, but as it is, he's left with a lame leg that never stops hurting and the sick feeling of betrayal in his fur. he leaves the clan and stillsight steps down from her position as deputy. at least they remembered poppy seeds were for pain and had set some aside for him.
the little area house claims for his territory he uses to tend to his own personal poppy garden at the cost of not being able to stray too far from it. over time, though he takes more than he replants, flowers are ruined by bugs or disease, and he needs new seeds. how convenient that he remembers seeing some poppies in one of these yards.... all he has to do is swipe some before the twolegs or pets of the place catch him.
well that's how he met wilson. pretty as a showkitty and meowing through the mesh covering the patio -- a catio, ha. "hey, careful with those, too many of them can knock you out." which isn't really how house thought that would go but okay.
because like. duh. i know medicine, just look at me (house, looking haggard as hell from chronic pain + withdrawal)
"(sarcastically) yes, thank you.... (pretends to read wilson's collar tag from an entire backyard away, yes they're just meowing from like 20 ft away) princess, but i know my way around medicine. it's kinda my thing."
and wilson, unfazed, just. "that's not my name. you look like you know your way around medicine. if you didn't have that edge of desperation i'd assume you're overdosing, so i guess you're leaning the other way? withdrawal? so if you take as many as i think you have right now, you're gonna overdose since your resistance is down, and i'd really not want the kid of this house to find a dead kitty cat in the flowerbed."
and house just blinks. because holy fuck that sounded?? intelligent???? he's heard countless kittypets cry about the wild cats eating kittypet bones when the notion is downright stupid, because when has a cat even been able to digest other cat bones
needless to say house doesn't just hang around that yard for the poppy flowers.

Warriors rewrite AU shit.
An AU where I take all the bad stuff in Warriors and make it good.
-Firestar is now a sassy bitch with anxiety-related anger issues. I remember rereading the first series and seeing how sarcastic and Fucking Done he was with everything and… I’m keeping that. He’s a snarky, funny guy now and the reason Bluestar doesn’t listen to him is because he’s blunt and abrasive. Let the man say Fuck.
-Sandstorm is no longer a generic hot girl. She is a grown ass woman with her own character and she Does Shit. She doesn’t immediately fall for Fire after he saves her and their relationship feels real. She is also three times the size of her husband. This is important to her character, trust me.
-Graystripe’s shit gets called out and he and Fireheart are Divorced by the end of Forest Of Secrets, with Longtail becoming the deputy after Whitestorm’s death. Instead of the subplot in Firestar’s Quest being about the ghost romance bullshit, it’s about Gray trying to rekindle his relationship with Fire.
-Tigerclaw is no longer pure chaotic evil. He has a motive beyond “get power” and it’s actually pointed out in the story that Bluestar sometimes makes questionable decisions, like making Fire and Gray warriors three moons early, apprenticing Cinder and Bracken to said underage warriors and generally not listening when she’s called out for something. Also, he kills Lionheart, who dies in the second book instead of the first.
-Smudge is actually upset about Rusty leaving and he tells all the other kittypets that Rusty got kidnapped by wildcats, which makes tensions between kittypets and clan cats even worse. Fireheart rarely goes near twolegplace anymore.
-BloodClan has been changed significantly and Scourge has received a complete overhaul. He’s brought into the story much earlier and his relationship with Tigerclaw is much more complicated. The reason he wants the forest territories is because among other things, there’s a TNR program in the city and his wife got spayed. He’s also a much better leader now, and the reason Barley left is because of how badly BloodClan was being affected by twolegs. Scourge is also really fluffy. Like, Cloudtail fluffy. This is important to his character.
-Bluestar is a flawed character. That is okay. Flawed female characters are a good thing, Warriors Fandom. There is nuance to her situation and she isn’t just some pure evil bitch. She is also gay for Yellowfang.
-Yellowfang is roughly the same, but her relationship with Raggedstar is actually called out as abusive. She also has a found family dynamic with Blue, Fire and Cinder.
-Cinderpelt actively chooses to be a medicine cat because she saw how Yellowfang treated her broken leg and began to look up to her as a role model. No more ableism. :)
-The Spottedfire crush thing is dead and buried and the Thistleclaw situation is handled much more delicately. Also, because Spottedleaf’s Heart ruined Thistleclaw’s character and his dynamic with Snowfur, I am swapping him out for a different character, probably an OC. You’re welcome.
-Snowkit lives but Speckletail dies. Neither of them can exist at once, it would damage the timeline irreparably.

I'm reading through the allegiences and trying to decide if I should commit to reading over 200 pages. What happened to Otterslip??? Why was he exiled?? He seemed so happy and friendly dude I can't?? I was brought here by an Evil Ravenstar fanart, but WHO IS RAVENSTAR?? Where did Nick go did Nick die?????? I like that the Goldenstar family tree is still running though. Original cat lineage from the founding of the Clan :3
well, I can't tell you the individual fate of each and every cat (I mean. I Could. but thats kind of the point of the moon updates) but i can give you the general rundown of the clan :)
The clan started with seven cats--Scorchstar, Nettlestem, Wildfang, Oaktuft, Morningpaw, Goldenkit, and Sunkit. Very early on, Wildfang was killed when rogues attacked the camp. This is also how Scorchstar lost her first life.
Wildfang was the medicine cat, meaning that after she died, the clan didn't have one anymore. By this point, Goldenpaw was already on his way to being a warrior, but Sunkit hadn't started her training yet. Scorchstar decided that when she became old enough, Sunkit would be the medicine cat for the clan. Sunkit, who desperately wanted to be a warrior, was understandably upset by this. This was the first instance of a long line of disagreements between her and Scorchstar.
Goldenpaw and Morningpaw became Goldenflare and Morningbloom. Along the way, they fell in love, then, to their elation, Morningbloom became pregnant! Unfortunately, the birth was hard, and she died almost immediately after, leaving Goldenflare the single father of three kits. He named them Maplekit, Applekit, and Honeykit. Only a few moons after their birth, a loner named Toro joined the clan, bringing her two kits, Silverkit and Dawnkit, with her.
The five kits eventually all became apprentices, and then warriors--save for Silverkit, who decided to be a medicine cat, and was apprenticed to Sunwish (formerly Sunkit). Their full names became Maplethorn, Applebranch, Honeygleam, Silverbelly, and Dawnshine. Silverbelly and Applebranch became mates, as did Honeygleam and Dawnshine.
Somewhere in there, Scorchstar became mates with her deputy, Nettlestem, and they adopted a single kit together, Otterkit (eventually Otterslip). When Otterkit was an apprentice, Nettlestem was attacked and killed by dogs. Scorchstar blamed Sunwish for being unable to save her, even though there was nothing to be done. Mad with grief, Scorchstar murdered Sunwish in a fit of rage. At this time, nobody knew except Otterslip.
Not long after the murder, Scorchstar herself was torn apart by a pack of dogs. She read this as Starclan punishing her for what she had done. Realizing it was wrong, she repented, and begged for forgiveness--reluctantly, Starclan allowed her into their ranks. Goldenflare, who was appointed deputy after Nettlestem, received his nine lives and took on the name Goldenstar.
(Since you asked, Nick died the same moon that Scorchstar did. He was buried in a rockslide.)
Otterslip, as an adult, found three abandoned kits and adopted them as his own. He named them Yewkit (Yewberry), Ivykit (Ivybounce), and Grasskit (Grassroot). Grassroot went on to be (you guessed it) killed by dogs. Otterslip, following in his mother's footsteps, blamed Stormsight (Silverbelly's apprentice) for not being able to save her.
Stormsight was told by Starclan that Scorchstar had killed Sunwish. He wanted to tell the clan about this. The combination of this fact and the fact that he 'failed' to save Grassroot drove Otterslip to murder him, by pushing him off a cliff.
Goldenstar also died at this time, losing his final two lives by falling off a cliff. His deputy (and son), Maplethorn, took his place as leader and became Maplestar.
Only a few moons after Maplestar became leader, the truth about what Otterslip had done came to light, and he was exiled from Fallenclan. His surviving children, Yewberry and Ivybounce, spent the rest of their lives with their father's betrayal hanging over their heads.
During Maplestar's reign, Fallenclan came to war with Shallowclan over Shallowclan's lack of prey. The battle was ended with no Fallenclan casualties, after only a few moons. Maplestar, already pretty old, was leader for a relatively short amount of time before losing all his lives at once to a flash flood. His deputy, Cherrydust, took the mantle of leadership and became Cherrystar.
A few moons into Cherrystar's leadership, Ravenkit and Littlekit were born to two former outsiders, Troutspeckle and Gyoza. It became immediately clear that Ravenkit was something special when he graduated early, at 10 moons old. Littlekit followed not long after him, and they became Ravenshade and Littleleaf.
Littleleaf was on a patrol with Fallenclan's deputy, Poppyfeather, when they were attacked by rogues. Littleleaf, a fantastic hunter but not much of a fighter, was badly injured in the attack, and ended up completely blind. Ravenstar, extremely protective of his brother (especially after the death of his father, Gyoza), blamed Poppyfeather. In his eyes, she didn't protect him as well as she could have. Ravenstar plotted for a few moons, and then, when the opportunity came, he caught Poppyfeather off guard and killed her.
One of Fallenclan's medicine cats, Feathersight, received a vision the same moon that Ravenshade graduated. The vision was rather unclear--broken raven feathers trailing from the sky. Nothing immediately came of it, so it was mostly brushed off, but the clan as a whole knew about it. Ravenshade, knowing that the position of deputy was now open, instructed his former apprentice, Flamefall, to remind Cherrystar of the vision, and insinuate that it meant he was destined to be deputy. His plan worked out, and so Ravenshade became deputy of Fallenclan.
With the small taste of power, Ravenshade began to crave more. When his mother, Troutspeckle, was bitten by a snake and killed, he decided he needed to do whatever he had to in order to protect his only remaining family, Littleleaf. He poisoned Cherrystar with nightshade berries, taking all of her remaining lives, and rose to the position of leader, taking on the name Ravenstar.
There's a lot of little bits in here that are important--Honeysong's ghost sight, Feathersight's suspicion, Darkpaw's dream, but this is where the line between what I've already drawn and what's spoilers gets a little wobbly, so I'll leave it at that :3 hope this was a decent explanation, and that I didn't leave anything too important out
And yes, Goldenstar's lineage is still going :3 his surviving descendants are Crowflame, Mothspots, Antbite, and Honeysong.
#fallenasks#strangelyfamiliarstranger#fallenlore#god i hope i didnt put spoilers in there without realizing. if you see any. avert your gaze

Honestly, I feel sorry for firestar… if he still trained brambleclaw, he had such high hopes of him, tried his best and everything and bramble still turn out like that?
It gets to a point where "I'm not mad, just disappointed" stops describing it.
"Actually... I am mad. I'm glad you're not a serial killer, but that's a really low bar, and you still acted like this."
He already has so much on his plate with Starclan, having to work to reform everything. He missed his own sister's death just because he was busy speaking to older Starclan cats who wanted to damn his daughters.
Then to look down and see his former apprentice, his ex-deputy who he finally put trust in after everything, having put him into the Deputy position specifically to keep an eye on him, and he goes and mistreats his grandchildren like THIS?
"Juniperkit, buddy, why don't you go ask Nanny (Sandstorm) to play hide and seek with you? Papa needs to do something..."
He sits by the Starpool, watching as Bramblestar snarls at his beloved granddaughter, a cat he raised until he tossed her aside like rotten meat when she didn't have enough of his blood for his liking. He insults his own child, Dandeliontuft, the molly who only ever wanted the love of her father who couldn't bear looking at her.
Firestar watches, embers burning at his paws, flickering through the air as a dark cloud gathers within Starclan. His body is rigid, muscles tensed, tail lashing back and forth as he watches the leader of Thunderclan greedily cling to his remaining lives, refusing to give them up to his rightfully ascending deputy. Firestar's body shakes with rage, and his breath comes in heavy shudders as Bramblestar snaps at Sparkpelt and Jayfeather, making himself bigger as he curses at his daughter and his former son, blaming his long faded father for their doubt in him. Blaming them for his behavior.
But Tigerstar was a murderer. He never hurt his children. Firestar remembers Tigerclaw standing outside of the nursery, looking exhausted as he waited for Spottedleaf to finish giving his tiny daughter Lynxkit her medicine. Cuddling with Goldenflower afterwards in the cramped den...
Tigerclaw was a monster, but not that kind. There are many kinds.
Bramblestar lift a massive paw, claws extended, towards Squirrelflight, who backs away in fear from the threat that, while never meant to be followed through, spoke enough volumes. His eyes flash amber in the bright autumn sun. Fire blazes in Firestar's body. Bramblestar will not hurt his daughter, not ever again.
The next flash is blinding, and suddenly, Firestar feels drained. He looks back over the Starpool... What was that? Was that him? He wanted to send a sign, what happened?
He looks at Brambleclaw's body, cats around him stood still in shock, most of their fur now on end.
"Starclan has spoken..." Hollyleaf remarks in a voice that only barely shakes, steeling herself. "They've made their opinion clear."
The Starpool goes gray again, blocking out the sight of them once more. It's been doing that a lot lately...
Suddenly, Juniperkit bumps into Firestar's back leg, snapping him out of his thoughts. He hadn't realized he'd jumped up in anger.
"Papaaa! I can't find Nanny anywhere! She hid too good."
Firestar's fur settles. "Oh no, silly Nanny." He purrs softly. "Let's go find her together."
He walks off with his little grandson into the beautiful forest. He has a meeting with Thunderstar and Lightning Tail tomorrow, and Juniperkit will go play with his uncle Swiftpaw, or perhaps his cousin Flametail will show him around a new place in Star-Shadowclan's land...
Around the Starpool, the ground is scorched black. The grass smolders where Firestar stood, the embers slowly fading off and drifting into nothing.
A lone spirit lingers, and fades off, unwelcome.

I’m really disappointed that the Erins hate Squilf and one of them even confirmed she was their least fav AND YET this Erin also wrote Squilf’s Hope??? Wtf?!?!? Anyways I liked her and Brambleclaw’s relationship in Po3 and watching it slowly become a mess because the Erins hate Squilf and want her to suffer is fucking awful. I’m rewriting the series from TNP onward so that Squilf gets her happy ending and that Brambleclaw isn’t a toxic dick. ALSO LEAFP AND SQUILF BOTH SURVIVE AND SQUILF BECOMES LEADER AND LEAFP IS HER MEDICINE CAT!!! and im rewriting brambleclaw to be HER deputy and he’s supportive,,
