MXTX headcanons no one asked for!
Xue Yang, Shen Jiu, and Qi Rong would buy the last thing on the shelf if it meant someone else would have a bad day.
SVSSS
Shang Qinghua (Airplane) is either really good at math and was in math olympics as a kid or so bad he has to count two plus two on his hands, no exception.
Shen Yuan was a nerd in middle and high, no one can convince me otherwise. (He was bullied hardcore for it, most likely Pokemon, Yugioh, and D&D.)
Sha Hualing and Liu Mingyan are op in Just Dance.
MDZS
Nie Huaisang would LOVE Johannes and Michael’s.
Xue Yang would love any candy store, especially 5 and Below with all the cheap candy.
Modern day Wei Wuxian most definitely put a whoopee cushion on Lan Qiren’s seat back in his teen years and it worked. (Everybody holding in that laugh, even Lan Wangji and Lan Xichen.)
Jiang Yanli would have an aesthetic Pinterest account
Mo Xuanyu would LOVE Grindr
Xue Yang would have one of those secret candy stashes that kids have as he got older.
TGCF
Xie Lian in the modern world would love goodwill and thrift stores.
Qi Rong would be addicted to watching Rupaul’s Drag Race. (Probably where he learned how to do make up and come up with those snarky comments)
Shi Qingxuan also watches Rupaul’s drag race but only to think of designs and makeup ideas. (Unlike Qi Rong)
Hua Cheng would take as many language classes as he could
Xie Lian would LOVE creative writing courses
Pei Ming would LOVE Tinder
Xie Lian would accidently put diesel inside of a gas car (Rip)
If one of the gods hosted a decade party, probably Shi Qingxuan, Xie Lian would mess up the decade (E.G. 1880’s vs 1980’s)

Ranking mxtx couples by whether or not I think they'd be good parents
(I'm 90% sure I'm forgetting someone)
Yep, next question (S)-
Wangxian: tried and tested good dads. I wish them luck with the whole “trying to get wwx pregnant” thing
They have some shit to work through, but after that I think they'd be fine (A)-
Ling Wen/ Bai Jin: if we're just going off the original publication, I would put them in a much lower tier, but since the revised edition added that thing about them raising orphans together and said orphans turning out alright before unfortunate circumstances, I'm putting them up here. I think they'll be alright once they work through the miscommunication
Xiao Xingchen/ Song Lan: They obviously have a lot of trauma they're working through, but I'd like to think they and A-Qing will be a loving family in the long run
One of them would be a good parent, the other wouldn't be a bad parent (B)-
Jiang Yanli/ Jin Zixuan: there's no canon reason for me putting them this low. Jin Zixuan just gives off a mediocre parent vibe to me (and we all know Jiang Yanli is the best)
Yushipei: Yushi Huang has good mom energy, and Pei Ming has been shown to be a not terrible mentor. I'd want the misogyny fully beaten out of him with a mace before I'd think he should have kids of his own though
Lang Qianqiu/ Little Guy: at the very least, they're making sure Guzi is fed, clothed, washed, vaccinated, and has access to education. Neither of them know what they're doing, but I think Little Guy is good at faking it. I wish them luck in their upcoming custody battle
You know what, surprise me/ I'll hear you out (C)-
Bingqiu: My first instinct is “no, do not bring kids into this,” but then I remembered tharnShen Qingqiu has a surprisingly decent track record? Like, Ning Yingying and Ming Fan both turned out a lot more health than they did in the original novel, and though I wouldn't call him in a good place, Binghe is doing a lot better than Bingge. The wild card for me here is Luo Binghe because I have no idea how he'd be with kids
Quanyin: Yin Yu had a decent track record until he was pushed into snapping. I think rn, he needs a couple centuries of being a babygirl before he's ready to parent again. No idea how Quan Yizhen would do though
Born to “dual income, no kids, rich uncles/aunts” (D)-
Fengqing: Feng Xin is canonically a bad dad. I know he's working on it, but it is what it is. Mu Qing has been shown to be decent with kids, but I think he’d have a melt down if he had to deal with the mess constantly.
Hualian: I mean, Xie Lian has raised three kids at this point and one of them became a god, another became state preceptor and then sorta complicit in a genocide, and one became god AND committed genocide + he babysat a ghost king for months and didn't even realize that's what he was because it was a miracle if he remembered to feed him… so, a mixed bag. Hua Cheng may be schrodinger’s child hater, but I'm intrigued by the idea of him raising kids just because I want to know how his own childhood would influence his parenting abilities. They should probably just stick to babysitting for now though
Mingling: Liu Mingyan is too busy writing gay porn to be dealing with kids, and I just can't imagine Sha Hualing as a mom
Please don't bring a kid into this mess (F)-
Beefleaf: Do I need to explain this one?
Mobeishang: Shang Qinghua should not be put in any position where he has to teach someone about consent (Binghe’s early attempts at flirting being a prime example of why that's a bad idea). I also think Mobei Jun is still working on the whole “why hitting people is not cool” thing.
QiJiu: I think the original timeline is a prime example of how they're just not in a place to be raising kids
Jun Wu/ Mei Nianqing: Xie Lian would like a refund on his adopted father figures. They had one kid and he only made it to age 20 because he was cursed to not die
#heaven official's blessing#tgcf#mdzs#grand master of demonic cultivation#svsss#scum villian self saving system#I'm not tagging every couple because idk all their ship names#hualian#bingqiu#wangxian#beefleaf#qijiu#fengqing#quanyin#yushipei#for anyone wondering about the “schrodinger’s child hater” comment:#HC is shown to be on good terms/likes Banyue and Guzi but in the revised edition theres a scene where HC says he doesn't like kids#but also in that scene he's brainwashed and thinks he's a rich 16 y/o#mentally preparing myself for the Feng Xin stans to explain why mr “behave xyz way or I wont acknowledge you as a person” is a good dad#Feng Xin is less of a himbo and more of a tall/buff Chilchuck and I'd like if the fandom at large acknowledged that#idk what ship I forgot to include but I know its not a Jaing Cheng ship#edit: the Binghe defenders are raising valid points but he's still a wildcard to me because of his trust and abandonment issues#I could see bingqiu being good parents like... 5-10 years after the series end point

Introducing: The Which MXTX Character Was/Would Be Most Insufferable Online Tournament Bracket
Beginning the evening of August 23rd, 2024 (USA time), I’ll be running a tournament via tumblr polls to determine once and for all which Mo Xiang Tong Xiu web novel character was or would be most insufferable if given access to the internet.
FAQ:
Why this poll theme?
I thought it would be fun to run another big MXTX tournament bracket, since the bugpoll last year was a blast, and this was the funniest theme I could manage to think of.
Why isn't Shen Yuan/Shen Qingqiu in the bracket?
Given what we know about our dear Peerless Cucumber, I fear an SQQ sweep would be a foregone conclusion if I included him. Therefore, after the bracket finds a winner, I'll hold a bonus round and pit the winner against Shen Yuan to determine the true most internet-insufferable character.
What is wrong with you?
Yeah.
My goal is to hold one round per day every day for a week, but I'm contending with a full-time work schedule, so things may get slightly more stretched out than that. I'll also be splitting the first round into Round 1 Part 1 (the left side of the bracket) and Round 1 Part 2 (the right side of the bracket) to avoid spamming people's dashes with 32 separate polls in one day.
If you’d like to either search for or blacklist posts related to this event, all of mine will be tagged with MXTX insufferapoll.”

Does it not surprise anyone that in the entirety of the MXTX verse, the only people who could be trusted with proper child-rearing are Jiang Cheng, Lan Qiren, Rain Master and to some extent Wangxian?
Shen Yuan's lazy and enabling ass cannot be trusted to raise a toddler and he is way too occupied with Binghe's shenanigans.
Binghe himself is the baby.
Qinghua seems to have no interest in child-rearing, he has enough paperwork and a Tsundere of a husband to deal with.
Mobei Jun and Sha Hualing would probably try to eat the child or kick the child into the Abbys.
Tianlang Jun?...huh...
Mingyan is too busy as a writer, Yingying is a baby.
Ming Fan maybe...
Mu Qingfang has already a lot on his plate.
Qi Qingqi is busy boss-ladying.
Liu Qingge and Yue Qingyuan?... You got to be kidding me!
Don't get me started with the Xianle cousins and their experimental children. Banyue is already dead and I don't know how Guzi survived till the end with all the hazards he faced. By now he should have developed a immune system of steel.
Hua Cheng wouldn't survive his Gege giving too much attention and adoring another person. Oh, my poor E-ming!
Well we got a snippet of Feng Xin being a father, and I don't think it was impressive enough.
Mu Qing and Lang Qingqiu I give benefit of doubt.
Yin Yu only if he survives Hua Cheng's employment.
Ling Wen probably hates children.
Pei Ming should first learn to keep it in his pants and Pei Su has a childlike great-great-great Grandfather to look after.
He Xuan already has his fish babies to look after.
Shi Qingxuan and Quan Yizhen are the babies.
Lan Xichen is too enabling and Huaisang and Wen Ning are the babies.
P.s.- Remember being a good teacher doesn't equate to being a good parent.

So, with the Thunder Saga having released recently it’s been on my mind a lot. I also have Scum Villain Self Saving System on my mind often in general, so this inevitably lead to me thinking about them both. And I had the thought that LBH would probably relate to Odysseus in Epic the Musical. Going through a hellish place while obsessed with getting to see a loved one again? And becoming more ruthless during the journey? That could be the LBH in Endless Abyss or Ody in the Sea of Monsters!
So THAT got me thinking about what svsss characters would play various Epic the Musical characters if the was an Epic AU of svsss. Here’s what I have so far:
Odysseus- Lou Binghe
Penelope- Shen Yuan
Not sure who their kid would be. Unlike in mdzs or tgcf, the main couple never gets a kid they feel at all parental towards. Well, maybe the disciples in general, but that would only count for SY.
Polites- Ning Yingying
Eurylochus- Ming Fan
Cyclops- Elder Sky hammer maybe?
Athena- Qi Qingqi
Aeolus- Liu Mingyan maybe?
Poseidon- Shen Jiu
Circe- Sha Hauling
Hermes- feel like it should be a peak lord but not sure which one. SQH maybe?
The prophet- madam meiyin
Does Scylla need a person to play her? Or does she get to just be Scylla?
The only one I really can’t decide on is Zeus. Palace Master has a similar attitude toward women but I can’t really picture him as Zeus. Other peak lords don’t really fit either. It would be funny if Pei Ming made a surprise appearance as him though! XD
What do y’all think of this idea? Do you agree with the casting? Who would you pick instead? I’m really curious to know!

Fanfics ideas, cause you love MXTX works. MDZS characters will be besties with who (in your opinions) if they were in other universe, with characters from TGCF & SVSSS ? Please pick at least 3 characters from each series. Hope my questions are not confusing.....
Nie Huaisang would have been a big fan of Liu Mingiyan and Liu Mingyian would have appreciated NHS's collection of... educational books so she could write more exciting and diverse Smuts. Shang Qinghua would have found his way in and NHS & he would definitely get along very well. Shi Qingxuan & NHS would get along like a house on fire. (Though SQX would not get a word of what was said among NHS, LMY, & SQH he would enjoy the vibes & be happy to be there) And WWX naturally would belong to this group and bring JC with him. I don't know, maybe SQX, much like how happy he was to find a Ming-Xiong, and mess with General Nanyang would have been happy to meet Jiang Cheng, whether Jiang-Xiong felt the same or not? Or maybe not? Like... he apparently hadn't tried to make friends with Fengqing so maybe he wouldn't try to make friends with JC either (even if he did I think it wouldn't have been an especially deep relationship between them. It would be more like NHS's and JC's) WWX, SQX, and SQH would drag in LWJ, HX, & Mobei-Jun with them. Those three would absolutely say nothing and make no friends. Mobei-Jun (despite WWX and SQX's many attempts) and LWJ (despite SQX's many attempts) would stare in a dead inside way and He Xuan would eat. (Shen Qingqiu would have loved to join them but Liu Mingiyan would turn strangely quiet against NHS's questions when SQQ was around, so...)
I'd love to see Xue Yang, Qi Rong, and Sha Hualing interact! I believe They would get along very well. I'd love to see them take care of Guzi together, too! (Guzi would end up taking care of them.)
(Then Sha Hualing and Xuan Ji would inevitably cross paths and have a nice girl in-bathroom talk wherein Sha Hualing would try to knock some sense into Xuan Ji and tell her to know your worth, girl and it would result in Xuan Ji going you know what?! Maybe you're right maybe I SHOULD let go. To which Sha Hualing would answer WHAT?! NO WAY! KICK HIS A$$!!)
One lotus root pork soup from Jiang Yanli would work wonders for Shen Jiu (who needs an older sister). And I think JYL, since she apparently likes to surround herself with tsunderes would be fond of him, too. Shen Jiu might have crossed paths with fellow street rat A-Qing. The hissing cats would bond and form the deepest, and strongest frenemy relationship and stick together. Then Shen Jiu would inevitably end up meeting Xiao Xingchen. This group would fix him. Before breaking him even worse because of the whole...you know,... Yi City Arc. Then he'd be adopted by Yushi Huang or Baoshan Senren. Maybe Yushi Huang could promote A-Qing to godhood. their combination with Pei Su, Ban Yue, and Pei Ming could have been interesting.
Teenage Mu Qing-gege would also probably know A-Qing, Shen Jiu, and Yue Qinguuan. and occasionally give them food and keep an eye on them. This combo-minus YQY- might have also occasionally bitched about others with each other. (So the god adopting Shen Jiu and promoting A-Qing to godhood could be MQ, too)
Jiang Yanli would flourish if she could join Yushi Huang and have a peaceful positive maternal figure who cherished her talents and calm demeanor. JYL, Ban Yue, and Pei Xu would have helped each other. she would also enjoy interacting with SQX, and Xie Lian. and SQX would like her very much. She might have also had a soft spot for Mu Qing and looked out for him and what he didn't say.
Wei Wuxian and Hua Cheng would get into passive-aggressive rivalry in talent, sass, fashion, batshit theories and ideals, and sass. they would greatly enjoy their rivalry though. Maybe through Hua Cheng, WWX would meet He Xuan, too, and enjoy annoying him. He might form a very forced, very one-sided friendship with He Xuan, Which after a while of WWX imposing himself on him, HX might or might not come to miss in WWX's absence.
Ling Wen and Jin Guangyao would have a pleasant talk over tea about how incompetent everyone else is and how they have to do everything around here. Then slowly, they'd be joined by Yin Yu, Zhuzhi-lang, and Shang Qinghua. And then This talk would then turn into a union.
Wen Qing and Mu Qing would meet each other while healing others and they'd start to be mean judgemental bitches together. They have kind hearts. They save everyone's lives, but they also shoot death glares at everyone & bitch about everyone while doing it.
Wen Qing might have also befriended Ling Wen. She might have been recruited by Qi Qinqi.
Lan Xichen, Yue Qingyuan, Yushi Huang, and Xie Lian could drink tea together and have a pleasant conversation without an actual word that would lead to any personal knowledge about them being exchanged. Though any two combinations of this group could have a vague and not very revealing but definitely insightful conversation with each other.
I know Liu Qingge, Jiang Cheng, and Mu Qing are a popular combo of hissing cats. But these 3 could stay together in one room for centuries and do not utter a word to each other or make any other attempt at human connection. Xie Lian though, a certified bitch- specialist might want to befriend Jiang Cheng, Shen Jiu, and Liu Qingge.
Literally anyone could befriend Shen Qingqiu (Shen Yuan, obviously) . Especially the cloud recesses trio, especially Jiang Cheng. Jin Zixuan would have benefitted greatly from befriending SQQ. (Or maybe not. Who knows.)
Xie Lian and Xiao Xingchen would have a very pleasant short chat. A-qing and Xue Yang would also love the other Daozhang. This would result in A-Qing wanting to protect the Daozhang from mean strangers and Xue Yang wanting to torment Daozhang as a sign of his gratitude for his exemplary manners towards Xue Yang. Luckily XL wouldn't stick around this long.
The Juniors would look up to Liu Qingge and would love to be his disciples. (Especially JL who feels life LQG kinda has a similar attitude to his Jiujiu and reminds him of his jiujiu) they would get into- hopefully- friendly rivalries with Shen Qingqiu's disciples, especially Ning Yingying and Ming Fan. In time those two would join the Junior group as well.
Jin Ling would follow Feng Xin around because AN ARCHERY GOD! And since the juniors stick together, so would the three others. And since Fengqing are always together, the two southern gods would acquire a band of ducklings.
Qi Qingqi would immediately recruit Mianmian. Pei Ming would try to hit on Qi Qingqi and immediately realize his mistake. They'd eventually befriend each other and Qi Qingqi would gain a place among The Three Tumors. That would lead to Qi Qingqi meeting Ban Yue and recruiting her, too.
After Ling Wen recruited Jin Guangyao as a god to help her do paperwork, JGY would find a solid place for himself in The Three Tumors, too.
(Mostly SVSSS/TGCF interactions:
Tianlang-Jun, with his interest in polyamorous dramas, would follow 3Zun dramas intensely. Pei Ming would get curious about what he's observing like a soap opera and join him in watching that trashfire. they'd have a great time eating popcorn and doing commentaries together, and then Tianlang-Jun would pull an uno-reverse on Pei Ming by giving him advice on how to court Yushi Huang.
Jian Lan has big maternal instincts, and Luo Binghe is above all, a baby. So Jian Lan would become LBH's new ghost mama and Shen Qingqiu would get along splendidly with his new ghost mother-in-law.)

Running List Of Name(element)s MXTX Keeps Recycling In Every Book, So It's Fine For Me To Assign Them To Basically Any New Character In An MXTX Fanwork:
-qing (half the cast of SVSSS, Wen Qing, Shi Qingxuan, Mu Qing, Mei Nianqing) -xuan (He Xuan, Shi Qingxuan, Jin Zixuan, Xuan Ji) -ming (Ming Fan, Ming Yi, Nie Mingjue, Pei Ming) -yuan (Wen Yuan, Shen Yuan, Yue Qingyuan) -ying (Ning Yingying, Wei Ying, Lang Ying) -ning (Ning Yingying, Wen Ning) -hua (Hua Cheng, Shang Qinghua, Sha Hualing)
some of these are not the same intonation or character as the others but then again a lot of them are. i think i checked and Ning (peaceful) Yingying (infant) could literally be the love child of Wei Ying (infant) and Wen Ning (peace).
#also some of the name repetition is plot-related#like with the qings (and the qius) in scum villain#and I believe the xuans in TGCF but don't quote me on it#but the rest of em? she just likes these names#I'm certainly not complaining#makes name picking easier

A Personal Guide to Chinese Names (Specifically Historical)
If you are looking for a starter guide, there are better posts floating around. If you are at least somewhat familiar with Chinese as a language and culture, read on.
Maybe you are a new Chinese learner, or perhaps you are a heritage speaker like me. Either way, you are probably aware of the vast amount of homophones that Chinese has and all sorts of accidental puns that you might run into. Have you ever heard the joke where two people meet and their conversation goes like this?
-你叫什麼名了?(What's your name?)
-倪繈仙 / 李廣仙。(Ni Jiangxian / Lei Gong-sin.) (Misheard as 你講先 "You tell me first.")
-……??
I heard it first in Cantonese, so please bear with the rough Mandarin equivalent I whipped up. Anyways, my mother told me this joke sometime in elementary school as a warning: Chinese names can be a double-edged sword. Sometimes parents can come up with a seemingly great name, only for their surname to turn the name into a joke later in life. Looking at the surname Wu/Ng/吳 in particular (be careful with this surname unless you want to intentionally make it into a joke, because it rhymes with "not" and will reverse the meaning of most names related to traits).
With that said, this is my personal process for choosing names:
1. Family background. Were their parents/caretakers scholars? Royalty? Farmers? Generally, parents who are at least somewhat educated in poetic texts will be much more careful when naming their child in order to avoid any faux pas, whether making an accidental pun or choosing a name that can be perceived as unlucky. As for parents who don't have access to that kind of education, they commonly relied on fortune-telling from the local taoist in order to choose an auspicious name for their child. On the flip side, you might see instances like Marquis Gu Yun's backstory in Sha Po Lang by priest, in which his parents named him Shen Shiliu (meaning "sixteen") due to his sickliness.
2. Meaning. I'm glossing over this because there are more in-depth guides out there about this. Figure out your intentions for your character. You don't always need to put a lot of thought into it since realistically, the names given to them at birth don't always align with their character at the current point of your story—however, if your character has a courtesy name, you should take more time to pick a name, whether they choose it themself or their family does. Here are some conventions I have noticed though:
Three-character names with a single-character surname are the most common, but two-character names occur somewhat frequently historically as well (i.e. Cao Pei in the Three Kingdoms era). Two- or more-character surnames are usually associated with old clans (like Zhuge and Sima) as well as non-Han Chinese ancestry (like Aisin Gioro), and they may be paired with a single- or two-character first name. Unless you are transliterating from other languages and making a point that a character isn't of Han descent, you generally don't want to exceed 4 characters.
Gendered names get really foggy once you look beyond obvious ones like Meili (美麗) and everything else that means "beautiful." Generally, characters with 花/玉/女 radicals are more commonly feminine (especially 女), although there are notable exceptions like Jia Baoyu (假寶玉) from the Ming Dynasty classic, Dreams of the Red Chamber. Scenic meanings tend to be more feminine while character meanings skew masculine—but, as always, there are exceptions, like scenic names that utilize herbal medicine meanings.
Names taken from old poems, such as those by Li Bai, are generally very safe, although it's not always considered "classy" because sometimes the name can lose some meaning without necessary context.
You can get pretty creative, if you feel pretty daring. For example, Guo Jing and Yang Kang from Legend of the Condor Heroes by Jin Yong are named after the Jingkang Incident, a historical event nearing the end of the Song Dynasty.
Names have changed in convention over time, so some traditionally feminine names today were masculine at one point in time. For example, Feng (鳳) is commonly used in feminine names today, however historically 鳳 referred to male phoenixes whereas 凰 (pronounced Huang) referred to female phoenixes.
3. Poeticism. Not everyone cares about it, but it is something to consider if you are crafting a blue-blooded aristocrat who recites poetry and debates with their scholarly peers, or if you want to whip up a really catchy and memorable name. Generally, you want to pay attention to the tones and the consonance, but keep in mind the dialect. If you are expecting Mandarin to be the spoken dialect among your characters, then only focus on Mandarin. If you are playing with multiple dialects, then you might want to take some care in checking if the name also sounds decent in Cantonese. Here is what I learned:
You need variance in one word to the next. Easiest way is to measure by high versus low tonal fluctuations. If the surname is a low tone, go with high next, then low again; if it starts high, go low, then high again. For example, Andy Lau's name, 劉德華 (Liu Dehua or Lau Dak-waa), goes low-high-low in Cantonese, but does not flow as well in Mandarin since it goes low-low-low.
Consonance helps make words flow into each other. Generally, if the first word ends in a long vowel, you don't want to start the next word with another vowel—although there are some exceptions, such as Xie Bi'an from Wu Chang Jie by Shui Qian Cheng. Bi (必) and An (安) notably have hard vowels and can be read reasonably distinct from each other ("Bi" hard stop "ahn", instead of "bee-ann"). Of course, always sound it out first, and if you have a friend who can speak, read it to them and see if they can read it back fine. Avoid tongue twisters.
4. Random name generator. When all else fails and you don't have the brain juice for naming everyone in your cast, use a random name generator. If you don't ever expect to translate your work into Chinese, you'll probably be fine with a generic generator on Google since the decent ones use an aggregate of common pinyin to draw from. I, personally, look for the generators that come with hanzi and copy the name into a separate doc for reference purposes. In my experience, they're not the best for particularly poetic names and you may need to cherry pick and combine new names from the random list. It does a good job for one-off characters, though. If you want to see what I use, I can link it in a reblog.
5. Google. Run the pinyin/jyutping through the search engine, just to make sure your name doesn't sound like a colloquial saying. Unless that is in fact what you are trying to do (looking at Feng Xin from Tian Guan Ci Fu). Dictionaries are your best friend (in my case, CantoDict is a savior because it also comes with full phrases with both jyutping and pinyin). Fun fact, when my mother was coming up with names for me, one of them was Qiuyan (秋煙) but good thing she did not name me that because it sounds like the Cantonese colloquial phrase for smoking cigarettes. Please don't name your child the equivalent of "stoner."
Anyways, this isn't meant to be a proper guide, but rather me just sharing my process that can be used in conjunction with the other helpful guides around here. I hope this can help somewhat in the namehunt for your OCs. 加油!

MXTX Headcanon: Router Reset Edition!
[Let's say they all live in one house together (modern), just one big chaotic crossover house, the Counsel of the Router will take their say in whether or not it needs to be reset].
Shi Qingxuan: Ugh! My phone isn't sending texts!
He Xuan: My laptop isn't loading this website.
The two of them walk to downstairs to the living room, where Mu Qing, Feng Xin, Shi Wudu, Jiang Cheng, Jiang Yanli, Liu Qingge, Liu Mingfan, and Sha Hualing are sitting on a big couch in front of a TV. The TV is stuck on a black loading screen and all of them are sighing or groaning in annoyance.
Shi Qingxuan: Can't connect to the internet?
Feng Xin: This is stupid! I think too many people are online at the same time!
Sha Hualing: A lot of us are down here watching a movie, I don't think there's really a lot of people using it at the same time.
Liu Qingge: Maybe he's right?
He Xuan: Whether or not he's right, that's 3 devices not connecting properly, everyone, check your phones.
Everybody checks their phones and they have low bars. Some try to open a new search tab or simply log into an online mobile game. Each and every single one fails to connect. They each respond with a disappointed look at each other, that confirms it, the router needs to be reset.
Liu Mingfan: Should we call the Counsel of the Router together?
Shi Qingxuan: Are all of them even home right now?
Shi Wudu: The ones that are home are the only ones that matter.
Jiang Cheng: Well, who's going to grab all of them?
Everyone says "not it" and the last 4 that were the slowest were chosen. Those three were Liu Qingge, Sha Hualing, Jiang Yanli, and Mu Qing. Each of them are tasked to find the couples and bring them into the living room. Liu Qingge found Luo Binghe and Shen Yuan. Sha Hualing found Shang Qinghua and Mobei-Jun. Jiang Yanli found Lan Wanji and Wei Wuxian. Mu Qing found Xie Lian and Hua Cheng. It took about 20 minutes but all of them were crowded in the wide living room with the other roommates that were already there. Some were in the kitchen grabbing a snack and others were simply just talking to each other.
Xie Lian: Is everyone down here?
He Xuan: Pei Ming is still in his room the last I checked, while Qi Rong is still out on vacation.
Mu Qing: We're all here, can we just have them vote on it already?
Xie Lian: Can someone at least tell Pei Ming that we're thinking about resetting the router?
Feng Xin: That can be said after you make a decision.
Hua Cheng: Gege is right, someone should go tell him that we're at least thinking about it.
Shi Wudu: Fine, I'll just go.
Shi Qingxuan: You're one for the team!
Shi Wudu walks to Pei Ming's room and knocks on his door. The door opens wide with Pei Ming almost peaking from behind the other side of the door. His room is hot, almost too hot. He has so many devices on at the moment, a console, computer, tv, and his phone on at the same time, and all of them are using online services.
Shi Wudu: ...
Pei Ming: ...
Shi Wudu: Yeah, I just came here to tell you that a vote is being made about resetting the router...?
Pei Ming: Oh, great! Thanks for telling me.
The door closes and Shi Wudu walks back to the living room awkwardly. He informs the Counsel that Pei Ming is warned and so the voting starts. The counsel huddle up, it takes a good 5 minutes for everyone to decide, but finally, they break up into a line.
Shang Qinghua: Out of the 8 of us, the ones that are in favor of resetting the router...
Luo Binghe, Shen Yuan, Hua Cheng, and Wei Wuxian raise their hands. That's 4 out of 8.
Shang Qinghua: Out of the 8 of us, the ones that are opposed to resetting the router...
Xie Lian, Mobei Jun, and Shang Qinghua.
Everyone looks are Lan Wangji.
Lan Wangji: I'm indifferent, I was simply taking a nap before this all started.
Shang Qinghua: It's decided, 4 over 3 -- since Lan Wangji didn't vote -- the router will be reset!
Everyone cheers. Finally Shi Qingxuan can send that text! He Xuan can load that website! Everyone who was originally in the living room can start their movie! Everyone else can go back to doing whatever the hell they were doing in the first place!
So, with the decision made, Hua Cheng does the honor of unplugging it and plugging it back in after 30 seconds. After that, everyone disperses to go back to their everyday lives.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I hope this counted as a headcanon, because it was in an entirely different format than usual. Anyways, that's what I think a crossover of MXTX characters would do when there is an internet connection crisis : CALL UPON THE COUNSEL!

In response to last post if you compare pics from jubilee her face had definitely changed nose , lips , eyebrows , teeth and DEFINITELY BOTOX and a lot of it she had more wrinkles on her forehead than a Shar Pei and the dress had a corset fitted to try to give her boobs but it just looked stupid it made her lack of boobs even more obvious just gave her nipples . Think she’s had her jaw line tightened too
So many enhancements and yet she looked so old. Also, it is well known that you must wait for months after injections, fillers or botox before trying to get pregnant. That honeymoon better be kosher cause you don't know or want to find out on your child what botox does to their brain, health, physical appearance, behavior.
I'll just give example with Kim K's dauther and Kayle's daughter. It's not only the parenting that is at fault - kids with nannies turn out well too. It is also the in utero exposure to toxins. Kim denies these allegations but look at her daughter and how she acts with the emotional maturity of a 5 years old.
I also know - not only from academic literature but also from personal examples - coffee and smoking during pregnancy and especially in the early stages- bring about ADHD and ASD.
Instead of treating her face with chemicals she could have spent some time with gua sha, lymph drenage, green tea, masks, rice water, korean procedures. Calm, healthy kids is much bigger flex than eye line wrinkles that win in a competition with the eye line wrinkles of the groom's mother.
And that dress. Huh. I don't blame the designer - they suggest you choose. But the chooser showed zero sense of understanding what would look good on her especially since she has a flat earth situation.
She went for the princessy look but make it modern and ended up with something that looked like it deserves a gasp. If she had even googled what style would look good on her she could have wowed people. Yet she chose the aristocratic style that is not her style and she looked not fit for the dress. No pun intended. And also - I'll quote my grandma here (not on this occasion, obvy): did they not have enough fabric for the sleeves. If the vibe of the dress is: cover the chest, go big with the train, get the dress long enough so that it can be worn with high heels only then these sleeves should have ended at the wrist to keep the balance and overall look.
And a big rule of thumb is - in general, if you don't have hourglass figure - don't wear a dress that has an accentuation on the waist. We do it spwcifically because we have curves. If you love those specific body shape dresses you've got to have or buy boobs ans have a touche, build a touche with exercise or buy one.
P.S. This is close to what they called the styles many many years ago (when I did mine).
They were having different names and subtypes of the main ones. For example - Romantic was either girl next door or aristocrat. (That one I remmember because so much lace clothes were thrown away after this style determination session that I still hurt. I kept one and through the years I did come to the conclussion that my style complements me better). Glam was divided into royal and flamboyant. The others - I don't remember.
