𓆩ᥫ᭡𓆪ASTRO OBSERVATION JOURNEY 𓆩ᥫ᭡𓆪
MASTER LIST
This is based on my own personal readings; if it doesn't align with your experiences, you are free to scroll. I just want to know and spread the message that we are not battling "this" fight alone. And I use astrology to understand my fellow humans.
⊂⊃ People born under Fire placements, especially Leo and Aries (-Sagittarius) in the seventh house make people angry at them, even if they don't do anything wrong. For example, they just ask simple questions, and people around them answer them with very high notes or voices. As for that, the only thing that they can do is stay patient. These signs are mostly good and blessed, especially if they have a lot of patience.
⊂⊃ Personally, I don't think only Taurus and cancer placements can cook better. This is because of interests, willingness, effort , time, curiosity and capacity to learn from individuals. But it more on, due to strong Venusian placements, especially Taurus just learned to cook at a young age (because of numerous factors such as urgency, watching their mothers preparing food, and alike) My brother has this placement, so I know.
⊂⊃Having placements such as Venus, rising sun, and MC; opposite of your moon makes you skeptical among others especially, if they show you goodness and love. This is because (you/they) are somehow insecured and has a trauma attachment.
⊂⊃ People born under Mars in Libra tend to have a lot of patience. But the problem is they don't know who to side with when their friends are fighting.
⊂⊃ I noticed most people born or have strong Scorpio placements/Scorpio influence with their chart ruler tend to see the good things in Everything. For example; learning astrology is to understand people or the environment around them. They are obsessed to know the reason behind things. I have this placement and it's pretty conjuct with my first house and Asc. (I feel like that's my purpose).

𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞
in astrology, the seventh house is associated with the zodiac sign libra and the planet venus. oftentimes, people only think of the 7th house in the context of marriage and other partnerships - which is fine to an extent since it is connected to those things - but when it comes to having personal planets in the 7th house, it can feel very irritating to want to know information about yourself and only ever finding out information about others or someone you haven’t even met yet. this post is an attempt to look more into the 7th house outside of its association to others and instead look into it from the lense of one’s personal introspection.
𝐒𝐔𝐍
the sun represents our life’s purpose, our sense of self, and our driving energy force. those with their sun in the seventh house may feel as if they always need to perform a balancing act in their lives. they may be careful in their thought processes and with their words when it comes to speaking to people. they may come off as relatable and charming to people, and strangers may feel comfortable telling them seemingly private information within the first few minutes of meeting them. their life’s purpose is to look at situations from a full perspective and view all sides of the field rather than being biased towards one or the other. they also aim to connect to the collective and show compassion to those who may not always receive it. showing their understanding of human nature and emotions is their forte.
𝐌𝐎𝐎𝐍
the moon represents the way we understand and express our emotions. those with the moon in the seventh house may have a strong understanding of how their emotions function. they might have been the kids that found it easy to voice why they were crying or how someone hurt them. as a result of their comfortability with their emotions, it’s easy for seventh house moons to connect and empathize with others. seventh house moons may prefer to do more introspection to understand their emotions. although they understand others when they struggle with feelings, they are one of the last to openly express when they are actively struggling with their own. they may be playful when it comes to expressing the emotions they may be uncomfortable with talking about in public, so they may joke around or use self-deprecating humor sometimes.
𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐘
mercury represents the way our mind works and the way we communicate. those with mercury in the seventh house may be very diplomatic with their words. they may be careful about what they say and who they say it to. they may do a lot more active thinking about their words and way of thinking than they let on. everything they say has meaning and is intentional to their speech. they may be very particular about grammar! they may not have just one way of learning but instead do well when having a mix of tactics. for example, instead of learning well through just music, seventh house mercuries may learn well through music and repetition. seventh house mercuries are very well-versed in their communication.
𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐔𝐒
venus deals with our values and how we express our love and fashion aesthetic. those with venus in the seventh house value balance and harmony when it comes to human connection. they want everyone to get along and have the desire for a more rosy view of the world where everyone is nice and all things and people are treated equally. for love, it may be hard to feel “loved” by those with venus in the seventh house because it may feel as if they treat everyone the same. sure, they might kiss or spend more time with their significant other, but they may come off as being flirty with everyone because of their charming nature. when it comes to fashion, they may prefer more neutral tones like black, beige, gray, brown, or other related colors. they dress for whatever occasion is specified but may prefer to have a “clean” look overall.
𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐒
mars represents our actions and willpower. it also tells us about our physical and mental strength and what we desire. those with mars in the seventh house may be a little indecisive at times, but once they’ve finally made their mind up (or someone else has done it for them) they give their all to their given task. seventh house mars willpower reminds me of aries in that there’s a strong dedication, but their dedication is out of genuine passion or wanting to do good instead of to prove a point or just out of competitive nature. those with mars in the seventh house may find it easy to gain muscle when making an effort and also may have good mental fortitude when making the decision to stay positive. seventh house mars may find it easy to fall into self-fulfilling prophecy (good or bad). additionally, those with seventh house mars desire a type of stability and peace. they may be more sentimental when it comes to their desires and actions than they let on.
𝐉𝐔𝐏𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐑
jupiter details what we believe in and how we grow and expand our minds. those with jupiter in the seventh house believe in a diplomatic way of living where everyone and everything is harmonious and equal. they may be a little gullible because they may see the good in everyone or everything, despite that not necessarily being true. they grow through being willing to listen to every perspective, even if they disagree. their intent is to try and understand where people are coming from, and that is how they gain knowledge and expand their way of thinking. also, those with jupiter in the seventh house remind me of people with mercury in the seventh house in that they both may be really good at persuading others because of the seventh house placement with those specific planets.
𝐒𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐍
saturn represents our boundaries, limitations, and what we need to gain responsibility for. those with saturn in the seventh house may be chronically indecisive. they may prefer when people tell them what to do versus making decisions themselves. also, they may find it debilitating being alone. they may insert themselves into everyone’s business in a way but only because they don’t want to be alone with themselves. those with saturn in the seventh house need to gain responsibility for their own true thoughts and feelings. they can’t keep looking to others to find their own answers if that makes sense. there is also definitely a need to be open with someone - likely a potential future spouse or significant other. there’s a responsibility to seventh house saturn’s self to learn how to be vulnerable with other people and with themselves.
𝐔𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐔𝐒
uranus tells us how and when we rebel and where we are innovative. those with uranus in the seventh house may rebel when it comes to traditional relationships. they may be open to polyamory, or they may be a part of the LGBTQ+ community. they may not like the idea of having societal contracts; they may possibly be interested in or agree with ideologies like anarchism. they may also like untraditional hierarchical structures in relationships, the workplace, government, etc. those with seventh house uranus want to push the boundaries of societal relationships and make an effort to bring people of various walks of life together.
𝐍𝐄𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐍𝐄
neptune details our dreams and imagination and where we want to find freedom from societal limitations. those with neptune in the seventh house may have vivid or (moreso) grandiose dreams. for example, if they have a dream about a school they once went to, the replication of the school in their dream will be pretty exact even if it’s been decades since they last saw it in person. their dreams may feel so realistic that it’s hard for them to recognize if they have woken up or not, or it may be hard to decipher whether a memory happened in real life or was a dream. also, they may dream of outside landscapes often - like vast forests or gardens. there’s a sense of wanting realistic people and scenery in their dreams but wanting to up the grandness of real life in their dreams if that makes sense. additionally, they may find themselves communicating with their friends, family, and future spouse through dreams.
𝐏𝐋𝐔𝐓𝐎
pluto deals with where and how we transform. it also tells of how we confront our fears. those with pluto in the seventh house ultimately transform when it comes to how they understand relationships with themselves and others. they will eventually learn to have more independence and self-trust rather than being overly reliant on others. they will learn to be comfortable with being alone. additionally, they transform through meeting with other people. i’m reminded of the saying that “everything comes and goes for a reason”; there may be people in seventh house pluto’s lives that they feel are so important that they can’t live without that they eventually lose or stop talking to. it’s through these building and loss of relationships that they eventually confront their fears of being alone. through this, they learn to lean on themselves and feel comfortable in their own silence.

Spouse in D1 Chart✨
Look at your d1 Vedic chart. Check where your 7th house ruler is. Here is a list of the signs and their rulers if you’re not sure !! Aries/Scorpio: Mars Taurus/Libra: Venus Gemini/Virgo: Mercury Cancer: Moon Leo: Sun Sagittarius/Pisces: Jupiter Capricorn/Aquarius: Saturn I'm gonna try to describe each placement to the best of my ability. This is just from what I've learned over time and some placements I just pieced together to figure out its meaning.
In The Houses
Seventh House ruler in the First House: Your spouse may be very attractive and confident, with prominent facial features, like a defined jawline or nose. They have a very assertive and demanding vibe. Athletic. You might meet them at a fashion show, the gym, or on a walk. They might be popular among their group.
Seventh House ruler in the Second House: Your spouse might have a very classic style, wear earthy tones, or have expensive taste. They can also be financially stable. Realistic. Committed. You might meet them at work if you work in a business-related field, at family gatherings like your cousin or family member might pyo with them (this is an observation I'm not 100% sure), or a bank.
Seventh House ruler in the Third House: Your spouse might have a youthful appearance/ look younger than their age. Or they can be actually younger than you or they act immature. Jovial. Smart. Communicative. You might meet them at school, on a road trip, or when you go on a short trip somewhere (not overseas), online. The third house rules over siblings so you might get to know them through siblings or they can be your sibling's friend.
Seventh House ruler Fourth House: Your spouse will have a very nurturing and comforting appearance. Your spouse will be a softy and approachable. They could be the person people go to for everything. They have a very warm personality. You could meet them anywhere home-related, Or a place you go to that brings you comfort. It can be an arranged marriage if that's something popular in your culture.
Seventh House ruler in the Fifth House: Your spouse could be very fashionable or enjoy fashion/art-related stuff. Very creative. Very playful vibe about them. Might enjoy same hobbies. Attractive. They could be egotistical too but not always. You could meet them at a concert, theatre, art exhibit, party, at a club. It could also be Clubs you join, literally anywhere where you pursue your hobbies.
Seventh House ruler in the Sixth House: Your spouse can be somewhere who cares about their health and physique a lot. Very organized person. Someone who has an established daily routine. Very Good hygiene. You might meet them where you work, at fitness centers, or anywhere health-related. Like a hospital perhaps. Could meet them while you're doing your daily routine, like if you go to the store every day you might meet them there.
Seventh House ruler in the Seventh House: Your spouse can have a proportionate body or a symmetrical face. Attractive spouse. Hates unfairness. Well dressed. Sophisticated vibe. Graceful. Timeless Style. Very charming. Nice Smile. Straight teeth. You can meet them in a place that's aesthetically pleasing. Weddings. Social gatherings. Elegant place. Art Gallery. Through a mutual friend.
Seventh House ruler in the Eighth House: Your spouse will have a very Intense and magnetic appearance. They might attract obsessed people, but they also might be obsessive themselves. Alluring. Captivating eyes. Mysterious. They can be attracted to the occult. You can meet them in places related to money or investments. Anywhere spiritual related. A funeral maybe? that's like the worst place to meet someone. Or at a cemetery.
Seventh House ruler in the Ninth House: Your spouse will be very philosophical. They can have big facial features, like a big nose or forehead. They might have more than one cultural background. Also can mean they're foreign. Adventurous. Can speak more than one language. You might meet them at college/university or while traveling. They are open-minded and love to learn about other cultures. They can have the same spiritual/religious beliefs as you.
Seventh House ruler in the Tenth House: Your spouse will be very career-oriented. They look very professional. Very Ambitious. Responsible. You might meet them at career-related things, maybe like a career fair, In public, or networking events. They can work as a manager or in a leadership position. They care about their public image. Could be Famous.
Seventh House ruler in the Eleventh House: Your spouse can be a very friendly person. They might have a lot of friends. A social butterfly. They are approachable people. Always smiling, they also have a warm smile. You can meet them at places where you're doing group activities, online, or community service, you can also meet them through friends. I know that all the names of The Locked Tomb Series have a lot of deep meaning but I just love the Seventh house. Like, the way you can figure out the plot twist just by reading the names. (Spoilers for Gideon the Ninth).
Dulcinea is named after Dulcinea del Toboso from El Quijote. The titular Quijote lives in a fantasy world due to reading too many books about Knights, so he starts imagining the world around him as the one from his books. He kinned too close to the sun. Dulcinea del Toboso is his lady love, the most perfect woman in existence. Obviously Don Quijote's "squire" Sancho Panza doesn't believe Dulcinea exists. She's part of Quijote's fantasy. So to try to snap him out of it he brings him a peasant woman named Aldonza Lorenzo, ugly and stinky, saying it's Dulcinea. Quijote assumes she must be under some curse and bows to free her (he never gets to). So obviously when I read Dulci's name in Gideon the Ninth and she turns out to be too perfect to be real...yeah, I figured out that wasn't the real necromancer from the seventh. Tbf, I'm from Spain so Dulcinea immediately triggers my second grade memories.
Protesilaus. This one's crazier and I didn't get it until the end of the book. You see the name sounded familiar and I was sure it was from some Greek myth or tragedy. Turns out in the Iliad the Oracle tells the Greeks that the first man to set foot on Troy would die. That's why Odysseus jumped on his shield to not "set foot on trojan soil". Protesilaus was the first one to actually disembark and, as such, was killed. Just like TLT protesilaus was the first one to die (protecting Dulci). Also in some versions of the story his wife, wracked with grief, asks the gods to see her beloved again. The gods take pity on her and allow her five minutes, after which they both die. This reminds me of how the real Protesilaus was brought back by Harrow's bubble, created by her grief for Gideon.
Cytherea is another name for Aphrodite and Gideon's very obvious lust aside, this tracks too. Not only is Cytherea described as really beautiful, she's a Lyctor which makes her godlike. It's also her love for her cavalier that makes her lose her head a bit. And even while she's Killing everyone in Canaan House she makes it a point to state that she still loves all of the contestants. She even admits to still loving John (much like Mercymorn). Also, the one that finds out she's not who she says she is is the man in love with the real Dulcinea.
Gotta love Tamsyn spoiling her book with names. This series is so fucking good.

An Empire's Catacomb
One for the Emperor, first of us all; One for his Lyctors, who answered the call; One for his Saints, who were chosen of old; One for his Hands, and the swords that they hold.
Two is for discipline, heedless of trial.
Three for the gleam of a jewel or a smile
Four for fidelity, facing ahead
Five for tradition and debts to the dead
Six for the truth over solace in lies
Seven for beauty that blossoms and dies
Eight for salvation no matter the cost
Nine for the Tomb, and for all that was lost
Nine is also for that really angry butch with a big sword
Just as intended by the Necrolord
Just some skulls I pixelled up since The Locked Tomb's brainrot is real and had to be externalized somehow.
It is pride month

Today in The Locked Tomb brainrot
Was discussing wall paint colours with friends today and we got talking about when "hospital green" becomes palatable enough that you can call it "mint" or "seafoam" and...
Seafoam green...
OH MY GOD
I don't know much about Tamsyn Muir's life experiences, but SO MUCH of her writing gives me the vibes of someone who's made brief, intense, ride-or-die week-long friendships with the other people in their hospital ward. Big "Hey! How's day two with your colostomy bag?" energy. As a crip: she just writes like a crip, you know what I'm saying?
ANYWAY. Back to seafoam green!
This shade is important because it's the opposite colour of blood. If you're, say, a surgeon, and you've been staring inside a human body for so long that seeing fine detail is hard, you can make your eyes re-adjust more easily by feasting your eyes a lighter version of red's complimentary colour: green.
Thus, seafoam green became the default colour of surgical theatres and surgical scrubs for a good long while, and since hospitals had so much green fabric and paint lying around... pale green has kind of become the official background colour of the alienation and disorientation of being a patient in a medical institution.
Great branding, Seventh House!

MARS IN PISCES : Water Rollercoaster
Mars entered Pisces on the 22nd or 23rd of March, depending on where you are in the world. It is a time of change in focus and direction of energy!
Having been in the sign of Aquarius, where our focus was on the bigger picture, life felt zoomed out a little too far. Now it's time to zoom back in and get down to earth.
In deep sea, underwater, down-to-earth Pisces, our collective dreams and reality collide, and it does start to become more apparent how we are literally all the same and going through the same things at the same time.
Mars is our life force, our will, passion, sex drive, where we have courage and take initiative. Our relationship to our Mars placements may not be well-documented, explained, or easy to describe because we are in it most of the time and not observing it. Our Mars energy is second nature and instinctual, with not much time to think or feel.
Oh, the feels in Pisces! Mars will feel rather than act. Mars is commonly referred to as bringing action over an area of our life where it is placed in your natal chart, and in a transit, it will be used as a conductor of a specific energy and how we wish to direct that energy in a particular direction.
We are always living with our Mars in the moment, whether passive, assertive, or aggressive; we are in it all the time. How deep can you go? How deep can you dive into it?
Every action is Mars, including rest, boredom, or sleep, which is what we may enjoy doing more intentionally and finding joy in the minimal and mundane moments of life.
Mars in Pisces is asking us to take life moment to moment, breath from breath. Reality changes very fast, and let's move through it
Let's journey through the signs read for your Sun and Rising.
Aries, Mars will be asking you to move in flow in your 12 house however quickly the tide changes your only requirement is to move in it, dance in the rain and feel every moment without a filter of your mind.
Taurus Mars will be asking you in your 11th house to let it go, the plan the way you think the work is going to go, social intelligence, empathy and a winning smile is all the tools you need to get through your grueling schedule. Exchanging smiles will energise your light more than rest will.
Gemini Mars will be swimming around in circles in your 10th house, you are spinning your wheels and extending your energy just for the fun of it, you know you have nothing to prove right now its all fun, you have got your mojo back.
Cancer Mars is opening a heavy door into new progress with how you relate to others in your life. Those who sin differently to you are still worthy of your love Cancer, in your 9th house you are laying on the beach watching the waves lap on the shore. You have finally let it go.
Leo Mars will be dancing in your 8th house, and showing you the dance moves that you thought you could never learn, courage to learn, try fail and try again, this is a you moment, time with yourself well spent. You feel worried or anxious because you feel challenged and comfort zone threatened. This period you will learn to have trust in yourself.
Virgo Mars will be pulling you through your 7th house, there may be a lot of distractions trying to pull your directing away into a different path but Mars will give your mind a laser focus to mute out all the distractions and see yourself through to the finish line.
Libra Mars will be slow dancing in your 6th house, you may feel like being more active and doing something different like taking a Salsa dance class or pole dancing class, you may want to tap into your sensuality.
Scorpio Mars will be punching your 5th house, there is a lot of aggressive energy here with this transit in your 5th house, you will be expressing your anger more freely, the lesson is to see how you can channel the anger into something productive for you.
Sagittarius Mars will be swaying through your 4th house of your maternal energy you are someones guardian or you have a few people who are are responsible for their survival and ability to thrive, weather a mother or not you take the role of nurturer seriously and feel extremely proud about this.
Capricorn Mars will be hitting up your 3rd house I see an influx of communication and being front/ people facing, through networking or public speaking, this time you are being helped to have the courage to speak from your heart and not from your practical mind.
Aquarius Mars will be high five - ing your 2nd house there is not much information I am downloading about this transit for you, take the easy way out, chill, play video games, utilise this energy to play and not work you will thank yourself for it further down the line.
Pisces Mars will be closing out your 1st house, its an ending that this energy is helping you push that door shut, allow the feelings of grief to show up and even show out but the ending is final and fated don't want the old thing back. Focus on what God is doing in your life currently and not what has gone.

Astrology / Seventh House / 7H
The Seventh House in astrology, often called the House of Partnerships, plays a crucial role in understanding how we relate to others in one-on-one relationships. It governs partnerships of all kinds, including marriage, business relationships, and close friendships. The Seventh House is also where we encounter our "shadow self," the qualities we project onto others, and the ways we seek balance and harmony in our interactions. This essay will explore the significance of the Seventh House, its influence on relationships, marriage, partnerships, and the broader themes of balance, justice, and self-awareness.
The Seventh House: An Overview
The Seventh House is traditionally associated with the sign of Libra and its ruling planet, Venus. These associations highlight the house's focus on harmony, balance, and the importance of relationships in our lives. While the First House represents the self and our identity, the Seventh House represents the "other" and how we connect with others to create meaningful, balanced relationships.
In a natal chart, the sign on the cusp of the Seventh House, along with any planets located within it, provides insights into how an individual approaches relationships and partnerships. For example, if the Seventh House is in Aries, the person might approach relationships with passion, assertiveness, and a strong desire for independence. Conversely, if the Seventh House is in Taurus, the individual might value stability, loyalty, and physical comfort in their relationships.
Relationships and Marriage
The Seventh House is most commonly associated with marriage and long-term partnerships. It reflects our attitudes toward committed relationships, what we seek in a partner, and how we navigate the dynamics of a close, intimate relationship. While the Fifth House governs romance and the early stages of love, the Seventh House is about partnership in its most serious form, where two individuals come together to build a life together.
The sign on the cusp of the Seventh House can provide insights into what an individual needs in a long-term relationship and what qualities they are attracted to in a partner. For example, someone with Libra on the Seventh House cusp might seek a partner who is charming, diplomatic, and values harmony in the relationship. They may also desire a relationship that feels equal and balanced. On the other hand, a person with Scorpio on the Seventh House cusp might seek a partner who is intense, passionate, and capable of deep emotional connection, valuing loyalty and depth in their relationships.
Planets in the Seventh House can also significantly influence relationships and marriage. For example, Venus in the Seventh House might indicate a person who is naturally inclined toward harmonious and loving relationships, possibly experiencing ease in attracting partners and creating balanced partnerships. Mars in the Seventh House, however, might suggest a more dynamic and sometimes challenging approach to relationships, where issues of power, assertiveness, or conflict may arise.
The Seventh House also represents legal partnerships, including marriage. It governs the formalization of relationships through marriage or legal contracts, reflecting how we approach the idea of commitment and partnership in a societal context. This house can provide insights into the types of partnerships that will be most fulfilling and what challenges might arise in these relationships.
Business Partnerships and Collaboration
Beyond romantic relationships, the Seventh House also governs business partnerships and other close collaborations. It reflects our ability to work with others in a way that is mutually beneficial and productive. The Seventh House can provide insights into how we approach teamwork, negotiation, and the balance of power in professional relationships.
The sign on the cusp of the Seventh House can indicate the type of business partners one might attract and how they navigate professional relationships. For example, someone with Capricorn on the Seventh House cusp might prefer business partners who are disciplined, ambitious, and focused on long-term success. They may approach business partnerships with a sense of responsibility and a desire for structure and stability. In contrast, an individual with Aquarius on the Seventh House cusp might seek partners who are innovative, forward-thinking, and open to unconventional ideas, valuing collaboration that leads to progressive and unique outcomes.
Planets in the Seventh House can also influence business partnerships. For example, Jupiter in the Seventh House might indicate a person who is lucky in partnerships, often attracting opportunities for growth and expansion through collaboration. They may experience success in partnerships that are based on shared values and a vision for the future. Saturn in the Seventh House, however, might suggest challenges in partnerships, possibly leading to relationships that require hard work, patience, and perseverance.
The Shadow Self and Projection
The Seventh House is also where we encounter our "shadow self," the qualities we project onto others. This concept, rooted in Jungian psychology, suggests that the traits we see in others, especially those we admire or dislike, are often reflections of qualities within ourselves that we may not fully acknowledge or embrace.
The sign on the cusp of the Seventh House can provide clues about the qualities we tend to project onto others. For example, someone with Aries on the Seventh House cusp might project assertiveness, independence, or aggression onto their partners, seeing these traits more clearly in others than in themselves. This projection can lead to a dynamic where the individual feels drawn to partners who embody these qualities or experiences conflict with partners who express these traits in ways that challenge them.
Planets in the Seventh House can also reveal aspects of the shadow self. For example, if the Sun is in the Seventh House, the individual might project qualities related to leadership, creativity, or ego onto their partners, often seeing these traits as more prominent in others than in themselves. Understanding these projections can lead to greater self-awareness and more balanced relationships, as the individual learns to integrate these qualities into their own identity.
Balance, Justice, and Harmony
The Seventh House, associated with Libra and Venus, emphasizes the themes of balance, justice, and harmony. This house reflects our desire to create equilibrium in our relationships and to engage with others in ways that are fair and just. It governs how we navigate issues of fairness, equality, and the balance of power in our partnerships.
The Seventh House also represents our approach to conflict resolution and negotiation. It shows how we strive to maintain harmony in our relationships, whether through compromise, diplomacy, or assertiveness. The sign on the cusp of the Seventh House can indicate our preferred methods of achieving balance in our interactions with others. For example, someone with Cancer on the Seventh House cusp might seek emotional security and nurturing in their relationships, often prioritizing the emotional well-being of both themselves and their partners. In contrast, someone with Libra on the Seventh House cusp might approach conflict with a desire for fairness and mutual understanding, often striving to find a middle ground that satisfies both parties.
Planets in the Seventh House can also influence our approach to balance and justice in relationships. For example, Mercury in the Seventh House might suggest a person who values communication and intellectual exchange in their partnerships, often seeking to resolve conflicts through discussion and negotiation. Pluto in the Seventh House, however, might indicate a person who experiences intense power struggles in relationships, where issues of control, transformation, and deep psychological exploration come to the forefront.
The Seventh House in Relation to the Rest of the Chart
The Seventh House interacts with other areas of the natal chart to provide a comprehensive understanding of how we approach relationships and partnerships. Aspects between the Seventh House and other houses or planets can highlight the connections between our partnerships and other aspects of our lives.
For example, a harmonious aspect between the Seventh House and the Second House, which governs finances and personal values, might suggest that the individual finds success in partnerships that align with their financial goals or personal values. They may seek relationships that provide material security and align with their sense of self-worth. On the other hand, a challenging aspect between the Seventh House and the Twelfth House, which deals with the subconscious and hidden matters, might indicate difficulties in relationships due to unresolved psychological issues or a tendency to attract partners who bring out hidden fears or insecurities.
Conclusion
The Seventh House in astrology is a vital component of the natal chart, governing relationships, partnerships, and our approach to balance, justice, and self-awareness. It represents the area of life where we connect with others in meaningful, committed ways, whether through marriage, business partnerships, or close friendships.
Understanding the Seventh House can provide valuable insights into our approach to relationships, what we seek in a partner, and how we navigate the dynamics of partnership. Whether we are exploring romantic relationships, forming business collaborations, or seeking to understand our own shadow self, the Seventh House reminds us of the importance of balance, harmony, and self-awareness in creating fulfilling and successful partnerships.

Blood cancer, necromancy and physical ailments
This started as a reflection on the evergreen “but could John have healed Cytherea’s cancer?” and then it went off… somewhere else, namely necromancers being physically frail and what it means for the worldbuilding and thematically. Bear with me etc.
what do we know about the nature of Cytherea’s cancer?
Very little! We know it runs in the necromantic line of the Seventh, but we don’t actually know how house heirship is passed, so we don’t know if it only affects one / a few family lines or most of the House. Cytherea-as-Dulcie says that her family “wanted her to keep the genes going,” implying that the illness was rare outside her immediate family, but Dulcinea doesn’t seem to have been under the same pressure, from what little we know.
Another guess is that the Seventh hereditary cancer is tied to necromancy in some way, as it seems to only manifest in descendants who also exhibit necromantic attitude. If that’s the case, then it’s likely it is a strain of leukemia that manifested post-resurrection and didn’t exist before (like necromantic ability) and like necromancy, it can’t be studied properly – because the understanding of the illness barely evolved from Cytherea’s time to Dulcie.
[FOUR more bullet points under the cut]
why I don’t think John lied about not being able to heal Cytherea
A variety of reasons. The obvious one is that it would be pointless not to heal her, if he could. The Lyctors dismiss the theory that cancer makes a necromancer stronger (“Seventh House woo-woo,” cit. Augustine) and so does Palamedes, who studied it for years. I'm going to assume they're right. Then there are no benefits to John in keeping Cytherea ill, except watching her suffer, and this is deeply at odds with John’s entire shtick in which they’re all a happy family and he makes a point to personally serve everyone at dinner because he’s just some guy. John likes to think of himself as the good guy, even when he's being actively terrible, and there’s no way to spin ‘let someone live with cancer for millennia’ in a way that makes you look good to yourself.
Additionally: if he had lied, then it would have been with the knowledge that it would backfire horribly if it ever came out he had, and completely shatter for good the happy family act. Conversely, the Lyctors have had ten thousand years to consider their long list of grievances against John, and they all studied Cytherea's cancer to figure out how to help her when she joined them (per HtN) but don’t even seem to consider the possibility that John refused to help when he could have. Mercy, the ultimate anatomy savant, is so pissed off at John that she’s ready to kill him — I think if she had even vague suspicions it would have come out in that confrontation. The only reason it didn't, IMO, is because she knew how the illness worked better than we readers do and had reasons to confirm John's claims herself.
if John wasn’t able to heal Cytherea. Why? he’s God, etc
This is where I take a step back and look at the broader picture. Necromancers are frail. They are physically slight, have low endurance, and are physically weak. Judith is a decorated officer but she runs a 10 minutes km (a fast-paced walk) and Ianthe can barely hold up her arms to do her hair (probably an exaggeration by Corona, but not by much). These are also people who could kill someone at a distance with only moderate effort, but can’t turn that power inward to give their own bodies a boost. The same goes for the various reproductive issues we hear of in the series – Harrow’s parents, of course, but also Abigail and Magnus being unable to conceive even with all the resources of the Fifth.
It seems that necromancy can be turned against others – manipulating their bodies – with a lot more ease than it can be used to fix necromancers’ bodies, which have some level of ‘flawed by design’, probably related to the way their bodies process thanergy. There's no juicing up Judith’s lungs to make her run faster, and necromancy doesn’t make Abigail and Magnus's genes compatible for reproduction. IF the Seventh House cancer is tied to necromancy in some way, it seems plausible that it can’t be “suppressed” from the organism of a necromancer, because it’s just another facet of their abilities.
(That said, it all hinges on that big IF! My theory that it would make very little sense for John not to heal Cytherea if it was within his abilities IMO holds whether the cancer is tied to her power or not, but if it’s the second one then I can’t begin to guess why.)
the #THEME of it all
Look. I just think that “some things can't be fixed by necromancy if they are rooted in it” is pretty plausible as a worldbuilding detail (setting the limits of a magical system) and also it really resonates as a doylistic writing choice. Magic has a price, and so on. I just think it’s neat!
(And, again, I think it makes more sense as a framing for the characters’ actions, from how John likes to play the good guy to how Cytherea probably has some amount of control over the tumors in her body, post Lyctorhood, just as Lyctors have detailed control over every other cells in their organisms. There’s something about the way she decided to go on for millenia, “mostly cancer and a little bit woman” as a funeral monument to her lost humanity. I’m not eloquent enough to put it into words but I’m gonna link to these tags by @thewinterstale on this OP by @theriverbeyond. Big thoughts, big brains etc.)
IF cancer doesn’t make someone stronger, why do people think it does?
We know “thanergy boost at the moment of death” is a real thing. It is a leap that slowly dying for years = more power during your lifetime, but it’s not an unreasonable conclusion. What is odd is that we have multiple informed accounts that it doesn’t (Augustine, Palamedes) but the idea keeps being perpetuated.
(Ianthe seems to believe that it does, but fwiw this is not Ianthe’s area of study and I find it plausible that she’s just repeating something she has been told which, again, makes sense superficially)
Anyway. Cytherea knower @thewinterstale has suggested that maybe Cytherea herself is the reason why the Seventh House, to the present day, believes that cancer = power. She was incredibly talented despite the illness, so much that the Emperor summoned her specifically as the last disciple in his super-exclusive circle. And that was the last the Seventh House saw of her.
If the memory of Cytherea that lives on was that of an incredibly powerful necromancer, the miracle at Rhodes, cancer-ridden and so powerful… that’s enough fuel for a dangerous myth. Maybe, through the millennia, all the Seventh House hoped to achieve was to produce another Cytherea – suffering and all
