I have made a TLT thing! Based on the skull from the TOR webbed site. I can’t wait to do more!!!!!

saltwater etch! Or, prep beforehand. The vinyl sticker was my resist, so anything exposed was etched away.

After the saltwater etch! Everything not covered by the vinyl sticker etched away, and the vinyl lasted juuuuuust long enough at the details on the rose & lettering that I got some beautiful little carve-outs for the petals & leaves & the “VII”. They look so fucking CRISP in these pictures.

First paint: Black paint, w/green and red in the etchings on the rose (vinyl still on, to protect the skull).

Vinyl removed! All that was left to do was paint the skull. The darker fuzzing around the edge of the skull is where the electrolyte etch started etching UNDER the vinyl 😅 and there was some uptake of the black enamel there, but nothing that couldn’t be painted over.

i've been experimenting with metal etching for the last month or so. I made myself a sleep token pendant just for fun and to see if I could do something small and detailed. It's a mess but it's MY mess. Now the questions is do i wear it to the family function tonight lol

Made more things! Copper etching using a salt water solution and batteries for power. Two prints from Het Menselyk Bedryf ("The Book of Trades") a book of 100 engravings by Jan Luyken and his son Caspar published in 1694. Eventually I'll try and do the other 98.

Yknow I never got why so many articles I see on like, eccentric or insanely weird, outlandish, impractical, and/or ornate armour always gotta compare it to Dark Souls

Like yeah, Dark Souls has like, the Catarina Armor and Havel's set, I guess the Armor of Thorns though it's wackiness it toned down somewhat, but I dunno, tbh I always found Dark Souls's Armor designs seemed like, remarkably sensible compared to most other fantasy media I've consumed
