Here have a(nother) drawing inspired by this part of @minyard-05's awesome sethaaron au How To Save A Life because the way he describes all the tattoos simply compels me to draw

My hc for this au is that tattoo artist!Seth sketches the tattoos on random pieces of paper. He's tried sketchbooks but there's just something about scraps of paper that inspires him so he has a wall with all the sketches taped up (per Orpheus canon) and in my head they all have staple holes or uneven edges or folds and completely different grain & quality. Also! He sketches with pencil & then lines & colors in with markers. No pens or colored pencils involved at any point.

And this will probably only make sense to me but he drew this thinking of Aaron WAY before they admit their feelings, in the early hooking up stage, pouring his feelings into his art and trying to not care etc, hence the quote

Baby Pics pt. 3 (final part)

Robin’s parents have religiously kept and cared for all her baby pictures from before she was kidnapped; this one is a few years before she was stolen.

one of the very few things Nicky left with when he got out of his parents’ house are his photo albums; he couldn’t bear leaving any trace of this kid in that house, and couldn’t keep letting his mother enter these phases of grief where she cried over page after page of baby Nicky.

though the internet is full with baby pictures of Kevin from tabloids, for the longest time he has no physical photographs of himself or his mom; when the Nest closed, he was finally handed back Kayleigh’s things that were rightfully his; that was truly an enormous moment of closure.

Aaron went through the effort of digging through the garbage in the attic of the Columbia house to find a semi decent picture; Nicky had some in his own albums, which he offered, but Aaron needed to do that himself, work though some shit.

Andrew told Bee what bullshit the Foxes were doing these days, then told her he knew who had some photos left of him here and there, then told her to make some calls if she was ever feeling bored of her life; because Neil asked; Bee managed to track down 10 photos from adoption agencies and foster families; Andrew chose that one because you can’t see his eyes (and he thinks he looks pretty cool).

Stuart sent over the one photo he has kept all these years, from a time Mary was able to visit London after having Neil; the full picture he cropped is below; only Andrew was shown Neil and his mom, Mary Hatford; the mom he lost, the mom he wants to remember.

Despite being five feet even, Aaron had managed to take up most of Seth's bed, lying on his back on top of the covers, one arm resting over his stomach and the other reaching up above his head. His hair, longer now than it had been when they'd met, was spread across the blue sheets like spun gold, some falling in soft waves just over his eyes. Seth couldn't remember describing anything as serene before, but that was how Aaron looked. Even despite the bruises, the bloody nose, the scraped skin from where he'd hit the ground earlier that night, he was calm. Somehow sleeping, when Seth still felt like he couldn't breathe. He let himself linger in the doorway a moment longer, taking in the rare sight of Aaron like this. He'd changed into Seth's clothes before he fell asleep, a pair of basketball shorts Seth forgot he had, and a black muscle tank. It was too long for him, but the hem of the shirt had ridden up, exposing the still-healing tattoo on his chest. A ribcage, over his real one, with twisting vines and cherry blossoms weaving in and out of the bones. Seth's fingers twitched as he remembered the last session of that design, the way Aaron's breathing had evened out beneath the buzz of the needle, his heartbeat under Seth's hands, the smile in his eyes when he–

Seth had to look away, trying to remind himself that ninety percent of the time he couldn't stand Aaron.

And the other ten?

Seth groaned for what could have been the fifth time today, earning him a punch in the arm from Aaron.  “You wanted this degree. Think of all the kids you’ll help.” Aaron reminded him from behind his laptop. This was a perk of going to the same place for graduate school: neither of them needed to make new friends.  “I can’t believe how ignorant I used to be! Fully getting humbled by Standpoint Theory.” Yellow highlighter covered half of his printed out journal article. “I think I might owe Nicky and Dan some apologies.”  “They are good people, they’ll understand.”

Hey yah! We did flash fic saturday. The wheel gave me AARON and SETH and an extra WYMACK. Clarence @merceyca prompted "manicure" and Jane @billdenbrough gave me "restaurant AU" so I wrote this unfinished scene in that hour HAHA I didn't reread this before posting...

Aaron has been trying to decide if he’s seeing things right for the past four minutes. Seth’s nails are fucking glistening. Every time they catch the light at a certain angle, they shimmer right into Aaron’s eyes, like the obnoxious glare of sunlight off a the face of a watch. Like Scott Summers took off his protective visors and beamed him straight in the face—it’s distracting, is what it is, especially when Seth’s well-groomed cuticles catch stray particles of raw ground beef and he doesn’t shake off the immediately. It’s pissing Aaron off. 

“You’re not wearing gloves.” Seth doesn’t answer. “You’ll ruin your new manicure if you—“

“Fuck all the way off, fuckface.”

Okay, Aaron doesn’t care about his manicure anyway. “Did you wash your hands?”

“It’s my own lunch, dumbass. I don’t fucking care.”

“I hope you catch a case of listeriosis so bad, you shit and vomit every-fucking-where.”

“I washed my hands, Aaron,” Seth says through gritted teeth. “And I’ll throttle you with them if you keep talking.”

“Put in my obituary I died asphyxiated by the prettiest hands on the block.” 

Seth stops kneading and finally looks up at Aaron. “If you don’t keep using that knife, I will.” 

“I can’t cut anything with your gay nails shining in my eyes like a beacon.”

“Enough.” Wymack doesn’t raise his voice—he never has to—but it cuts in between them like he’d used a megaphone anyway. “Aaron, switch with Neil at the dishwasher. Keep it to yourself,” he adds when he sees Aaron open his mouth to argue.

“Replacing him with that jackass Neil isn’t much better,” Seth grumbles, but Wymack’s already turned away to leave the kitchen. 

Aaron holds out his hand expectantly and Seth slaps his hand down to grip Aaron. Aaron is surprised but he should have known he’d try to unbalance him. He resists the downward push until Seth relents and relaxes in his palm. Aaron scowls at him and he gets a scowl back, then brings up Seth’s hand for examination. He tilts his hand back and forth to see the nails shimmer. It’s kind of fun.

“It’s just clear polish,” Seth says, annoyed.

“Boring,” Aaron says flatly, unimpressed. Seth tries to pull his hand away but Aaron’s holds fast. When he tries again, he’s successful, and shoves Aaron back twice to make space between them.

Seth points a warning finger at Aaron.
