The Foxhole Court at PSU? Yeah it's haunted. They say that you can hear the sounds of something beating against the walls in the dead of night - a rhythmic sort of thump, thump, thump, accompanied by the sound of heavy footsteps squeaking against the floor. You can hear voices sometimes too - shouts of "Go again!" and "Move your feet!" My friend says it's probably just some people practicing exy at night, but come on. What living person would be up practicing exy at 1am? No, the real truth is right in front of our noses: Seth Gordon's ghost is haunting the court, still doggedly practicing for his final season that he never got to play. I just need to get inside for one night with my microphone, my camera and my EMF meter and I'll be able to prove it.

I like to think about aftg written from different povs and how you could shift focus to centralizing each of them as a protagonist.

And one of my favorites is the idea of a Katelyn pov version, because that would make Aaron the mysterious bad boy in a semi-generic college romance, and I think that would be hilarious. Like the fact so much of the drama is tied to Andrew wouldn’t even be that odd, because there are more love interests who’s drama ties to a controlling brother than you would think. And Neil and Andrew’s entire relationship would feel like when an author throws in a bland out of the blue gay couple for representation points. Like Neil would just be her boyfriend’s terrible brother’s pushy lacky that Aaron just kind of says he hates that came out of nowhere to push the plot along so she and Aaron can finally get together, and then just watched as Andrew threatened her. Andrew is totally the complicated villain of her romance. Not even sure how much she would even learn about the mafia stuff. Seth’s death could very well have remained an od in her mind, and the Drake situation is drama enough on its own without getting the mafia involved. But I do think if there was a mafia reveal in her pov it would be batshit insane, but also like three degrees removed from her so maybe it wouldn’t be that bad. I do think her romance with Aaron could carry a book though, because I suspect there’s some hidden complexity there.

i love fanfics where seth is still alive, it makes me so sad he deserved so much better and he deserves to get the chance to grow and change and make up for his mistakes:(( it also BREAKS MY HEART the fact he was clean when he went out HE WAS CLEAN HE DIDNT DO IT HE WAS CLEAN

You can hate Seth all you want (I'm neutral about him, we didn't get to see his evolution) but you can't deny that "His life is not more important than mine just because he's more talented." isn't one of the best quote of the book

i dont think we talk enough about how nicky genuinely cares about neil. sure so does matt and all the others but they dont show it the way that nicky does. nicky shows his support, his love, his adoration like its not something to be ashamed of and for someone whose only companion was a mother that wouldnt even hold him this is such a big deal. idk they deserve more time with each other

i know a girl who loves seth gordon without any explanation. i don't know what shit drives her, but posts she makes are incredibly thought provoking.

she made me think about how seth died because neil couldn't keep his mouth shut.

seth considered neil not that bad, got hope that the season would be better and wanted allison to be his date at fall banquet. he finally thought graduating would be okay and wanted her to help him look into grad schools. he wanted to go into social work and help people. he was going to stop drinking and come clean and maybe let allison make an honest man out of him. 

this was the first time when he wanted to live.

at the moment when he wanted to live most of all his life was cut short.

i wonder if allison thought about that shit as neil's fault.

Jean had sensed Riko’s gaze pressing down on him before, but after speaking up, it landed on him like a branding iron. Jean’s statement was met with a groan from Seth. 

“Fine. We have an opening with Jean on Saturday morning, if that would work for you,” Seth said, his voice an unenthusiastic monotone. 

“It’s a date,” Riko said. It was a quip meant to inspire a reaction, whether it be annoyance, intrigue, or disgust, and Jean refused to acknowledge it. Instead he put all his focus into his current client. He paid extra attention to wiping off the skin and following the transfer lines, giving the work every ounce of precision he could muster, even if it was all just for show. Normally he could produce the same quality in half the time, but he found himself wanting to stretch out the job he’d been so anxious to get over with earlier.
