Jean wakes up in the middle of the night and the room is spinning. He is gasping for air but it's just not enough. His head is pulsating. His hands are in tight fists and he's hitting his chest and pulling at the collar of his shirt.

As he's slowly coming back to himself, still visibly shaken up and disoriented, there is a vague awareness of someone's presence.

It's warm. Safe. Someone is speaking softly to him and threading their fingers through his hair.

Closing his eyes he lets the warmth consume him. He curls impossibly close to its source, burying his face in the blond locks. The voice in his ear keeps repeating that he is safe.

I will not let anything happen to you. I will not let them take you.

Bright morning light is what finally wakes him up. All at once he is aware of Jeremy's chest slowly rising and falling under his head, and Jeremy's arms, holding him tightly.

the golden raven being released on kevin’s bday is very interesting but i really hope it means that there will be more exploration of kevin’s character and his relationships. i don’t even necessarily want him to get with jean and jeremy i just want him to reconnect with jean in a way that they’re both happy with, they both deserve that.
