Good morning Toronto! . Let’s continue with my coverage of the Nikon Z 9 with more stories and examples! . Here’s a sunrise shot I took with the Pre-Production Nikon Z 9. It’s a beautiful sunrise but that’s not the point of this picture. . As feature-rich as the Z 9 may be, one of my favourite features that I’ve been asking for ever since the original Z 7 came out is the vertical tilting screen. The Z 9 has a four-axis tilting screen that is on axis to the camera! . It may be a small thing, but I use the vertical positioning in various perspectives all the time in my landscapes, architecture, and event photography. . Here’s a great example of when the portrait tilting screen works so you no longer have to lay on the ground or turn your head around to match the screen orientation. . In my events, real estate, or photos with architecture in it, I like to keep my verticals vertical. If I need to compose a shot where my subject needs to be on the bottom of the frame, I have to raise the camera up high above my head. The vertical tilting screen means I no longer have to shoot blindly! . Needless to say I can’t wait to start using this feature on the Z 9! . I wanted a colorful sky in my life tonight but didn't know specifically what to share so I just scrolled through my folder of 'To Be Shared Later' photos & this one caught my eye. I love the vanishing point aspect of the pier that just seems to go off into the infinite watery distance This is from late June 2020, taken on my @madebygoogle @googlepixel 2 XL. I really need to get downtown one of these days for a proper view of the sunset again because though I can see the colors in the sky from my area, the sunset is just so much more epic when viewed down by the water and with the skyline as well Day 145!
