i have no idea what islandferry means but i'll miss it:( rip.

my old url was ‘island ferry’ -- any ferry that takes you to an island is blessed, but it was named specifically with the ferry to prince’s islands in istanbul in mind.  united has been...not clowning of late and i was nostalgic enough for Carras i took the plunge but i shall return to it when football is over!

prince’s islands are my absolute favorite place in istanbul, a quiet peaceful haven away from the chaos and the crowds of the city and taking the ferry there is almost a spiritual experience, with the way the city line recedes behind you in a haze of smog and all around you there is only the sea, and the wind, and the circling seagulls.  and standing in the middle of it all--especially in the winter when most sensible people flee indoors and leave the deck to you--you feel free. :)

how did you get your biggest scar? its in my head, i was 6-7 and playing with a rubber ball on the street and there was a phone box(?) nearby, the ball bounced and landed under the phone box so i ducked under it, raised my head like a dumbass and hit my head against the pointy part of the phone box, and blood just started puring out
