rapid fire predictions for the finale of the boys s4: SPOILERS AHEAD.

sage left behind her cute little maeve notebook full of manipulative misinformation that homelander or firecracker or both will conveniently misuse exactly as sage intends them to

sage shows up at the boys headquarters to say 'hey losers, ready for the next stage of my plan?' and reveals to them that she's been the guiding hand for them this whole time, and she was just manipulating homelander. she got fired on purpose as to not be caught up in the downfall of him/the seven/vought. she doesn't want him in power any more than they do. why else would she help them so much? we're left uncertain if this is true or if she just intends to get back in homelander's good graces.

soldier boy and maeve both made merch appearances in e7. one or BOTH of them appear in the eleventh hour of the finale???

billy becomes a meat puppet for joe kessler, setting him up as a secondary BBEG for season 5. we get DOUBLE BUTCHER as he is now the hallucination screaming at joe. ryan will be the key to restoring butcher to his senses? this one is maybe more abstract and unlikely.

this thought i'm WAYYY less jazzed about but feel is possible: homelander, hurt by ryan excluding him from his televised family spiel and possibly driven into a spiral by ryan expressing a desire to leave him, reveals to ryan the truth of how he was conceived, and how there's no way becca actually loved him because of it. he will also throw her death in ryan's face, and how butcher also can't love him because he killed his wife. he will insist that he is the ONLY one capable of loving ryan. he will say literally anything to try and isolate ryan because he is that desperate not to lose him.

thinking about that article where Aidan talks about Five being lost this season, about how he doesn't know what his place is in the universe. thinking about how it might be because there's no longer any apocalypse to stop, no world to save, and comparing it to similar circumstances in season 3. thinking about the fact Five's response to having fulfilled his purpose in that situation is not to despair but to celebrate. you could argue that maybe it's because the reality of it hasn't set in, that he's essentially in the honeymoon phase of no longer having a place in the world, but I'd argue there's another consideration - his family. Five in S3 is content, happy even, despite no longer having a purpose because at least he still knows his place. and that's amongst the people he's dedicated decades of his life to saving. thinking about how, by the end of the season, Five was ready to finally put an end to it all - no more stopping the apocalypse. because at least he'd get to go out surrounded by the people he loved. but S4 sees them all split up. and now Five's without a purpose and without his family. and there's no end of the world to save them from; they won, timeline fixed, universe restored. his family is finally safe. and Five is still alone.

~I was still feeling inspired by the trailer, so I tried to mix my usual digital painting style with a more cartoon-ish or anime version drawing to make this new Five as he's coming in hot and so confused and not just by the change in the aura his power gives off. Not sure if it works but I gave it my best shot.

I think Benedict’s season has to be next, if only bc it wouldn’t make narrative sense for it to be anyone else.

Eloise is probably the biggest contender for s4 if it’s not Ben’s, but she hasn’t met Phillip yet, let alone begun writing to him. I guess they could meet towards the end of season three and then say, “Yeah, we’ve been writing to each other on the off-season.” But i think it will be more impactful if she writes to him throughout s4 and then s5 is her season.

Francesca just got with John. They’re not going to kill him off and get her with his cousin right away.

Hyacinth and Gregory both work really well as the final two seasons, seeing as they’re the final two Bridgerton kids. And unless there’s a time jump, I don’t think either is even old enough to join society yet. Also, how would the showrunners even sell, “Yeah, we’re skipping ahead to one of the final books. Yeah, we’re doing an entire time jump instead of giving Benedict his flowers”?

Anyone else feel like this could be a big hint that Andrea Terry will become the new financial backer of The Bear when Cicero's money falls through?

Chef Terry stays up all night and parties with Syd and The Bear crew in Forever, she sees a mirror of her younger self, and agrees to become a backer if Carmy changes his ways? Which Carmy is all too happy to say he will do.

Marcus also gets exposed to Chef Terry's ethos, and she's delighted by him and sees him as a rising star and enlists Luca and then submits him for a James Bear Award for Outstanding Pastry chef (which he wins).

Don’t mind me I’m just amusing myself by imagining a season 4 scene of Polin at home playfully hanging around their bedroom and adjoining lounge area while Penelope is high on whatever drug Colin had written about in his travel journal which she was curious about.

Penelope is hilariously paranoid and jumpy and Colin is visibly holding back laughter while he is playfully handsy, kissing her neck and hands like a regency Gomez Adams adoring his wife as she has a full conversation with some woman in a painting on the wall.

People have to remember the general public really didn’t get hyped for S3 until close to the release, so as much as I wanna claim S3 will reign supreme, we can’t really predict yet.

I will say the fact they don’t have something to slide into the franchise next year like they did Queen Charlotte in 2023 is possibly going to be a problem for them and probably why we are getting a little bit of promo now and most likely they will churn out more content over the coming months in order to not fully lose the attention of folks.

If s4 breaks 90 mil views I will be happy, but also QUITE shocked.

I don't believe it will fare well and for MANY REASONS.

I also think the writers will drop the ball again this time around for our faves, but I'm praying I'm wrong.
