I'm rambling today, I'm so sorry, but you know who else constantly gets mischaracterized, and I am sick and tired?

Even the official Amazon Prime YouTube account stabs my little guy in the back by calling this video:

Where did he lash out? Where? Because the scene that I watched essentially has him BEGGING his caretakers to let him go instead of drugging him. It's even in the thumbnail. Come on, man. That's not lashing out. He wasn't even angry when he pushed her away. Not sitting there quietly and taking literal child abuse is not 'lashing out'. It's proactive thinking from a boy whose father spent 16 years in a prison cell. Whose caretakers just told him he has the choice between becoming a child soldier, putting his own life on the line to save the world (mind you, he's 12) or perish in a fog of halothane.

Meanwhile, when Hughie slits a man's throat and then literally bathes in his blood looking like he's got the much-famed Black Noir Murder Boner?

Crickets.

I call it the 'Joe Kessler' fallacy of believing that, for some reason, Ryan's father's characteristics can reach through the bloodline and somehow taint Ryan, which means all his actions are looked at through the most uncharitable lens possible 24/7.

Anyway. That's a teenager. Not even. That's a pre-teen. "Has Ryan finally turned irredeemable?" Mate, he hasn't even done anything that deserves after-school detention. Or being grounded.
