I loved Colin and Penelope's first time, don't get me wrong. BUT I do have one quibble with it - needed more kisses. They definitely kissed way more in the carriage scene. Do you think it was because other than wearing a "pennini" and a "triangle ", they were very naked and it would have been too much? Too real?...😏👀 But the kisses they did share were quite pretty in the scene, weren't they? 🥰🥹

Also wouldn't mind some more skin caresses...😏🥰

I was practicing my gif finding and came across this parallel - Colin has been taking Penelope out of hostile situations since day 1, and he'll continue to do that as long he deems it necessary. This is what Colin does. He isn't going to stand there and watch someone he cares about get trampled on.

And, like, this is one (of many) reasons why Penelope loves him. Because he stands up for her when no one else does.

A man possessed, Colin takes a step forward. He takes Penelope's chin in his hands and tilts her face up to his. Their lips are mere inches apart. Their breath mingles, the air growing hot and heavy. And then, Pen's eyes close and their lips close the distance. Soft at first, the perfect, innocent first kiss, lips just barely meeting. After a moment, they press more firmly into one another, the two of them giving in to the passion of the moment. As Colin pulls back just a second, Pen's eyelids flutter open. Colin looks at her like he has never really seen her before, in awe of her beauty. But in that moment, the spell is broken for Pen, as she realizes she's pressing her face against the window of a house she can never live in. (x)

It took her a moment to recognize the import of this. If they'd stopped, that meant they'd most likely reached their destination, which was…her home.

"Oh, God!" She started yanking at the bodice of her gown with frantic motions. "Can't we just ask the driver to keep going?"
