26. freebie question, a good while back (before the party split) you mentioned that a possibly interesting ship would be Imogen/FCG. Obviously canon has not gone that direction, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on Imogen and FCG's relationship :D

It is interesting because Imogen hasn't interacted with FCG a ton. I think that friendship sort of fizzled out once FCG started believing in their personhood and particularly after they began building a relationship with the Changebringer. Imogen was not terribly supportive of that (possibly jealous, or possibly just not sure how to engage with it) and so there really hasn't been much.

They are really interesting as parallels, actually, though actually pretty much everyone in the party except for Orym and Chetney fit in this to some degree. Like Imogen (and Fearne), FCG was given particular powers by a megalomaniacal entity, for the purpose of furthering those goals. I think Predathos grants somewhat more agency to loyal Ruidusborn than Aeor entrusted FCG with, though that is to be seen, but there's something very tragic, in my mind, from Imogen's perspective, about how FCG was the tool of a destroyed empire, and so while he still carries those scars and consequences, he actually does have the freedom to be his own person. FCG has to manage a serious chronic condition, essentially, but they don't have missions, and unless some of the wilder theories are right (and they could be, though I have my doubts) the ones who did this to them are long dead. Is this her future? Will she be left with dreams and telepathy even if they defeat Predathos? Will they be the upsides (controllable sorcery powers) or the downsides (nightmares, uncontrollable sorcery powers)? Why did FCG get to just sleep through the hard part and she has to fight her way out?

It really is a fascinating thing about the party: Fearne and FCG were designed to be who they are (though Fearne's upbringing at least was her own). Ashton was partially created in a cult ritual (though it remains unclear if they were the intended recipient or merely the one it happened to stick to). I don't think Imogen was planned a la Fearne, but I do wonder if Predathos or the Weave Mind did specifically target Liliana to ensure her daughter would also be Ruidusborn. While the nature of Laudna's sorcery abilities hasn't come up (and, to be fair, a lot of sorcery abilities in D&D are just like "well that happened to your baby, idk what to tell you") she was used by Delilah for that as well. So much of this party shares this with Imogen and FCG but I think they are the most extreme examples (Fearne is mostly unaffected physically/mentally though obviously learning of her origins is unsettling and upsetting, and Ashton and Laudna's situations mostly hurt them and not as often others, though Laudna's is increasingly a crapshoot) and I think as this became apparent and as they both grew more comfortable with who they were they sort of lost that connection.

They do still share a lot of powers though and I'd love to see them talk again - Laura and Sam always play off each other well, and those earlier interactions where they both tried to read each other's thoughts, or coordinate probing Ashton or Ollie's mind, or the first casting of Shared Dream were all delightful - but they have drifted apart since.

10.) Most disliked arc? Why?

Over on the Legends I had a number of disliked arcs too.

First off? I really hate the repeated bullying arcs.

S1, they bully Mick and then are shocked, shocked I tell you, when he betrays them for a better deal.

S2, they bully Mick again and then are completely mystified how past!evil!Len manages to manipulate him away from them so easily.

And then they finally stop bullying Mick just in time for Gary to show up and oh hey let's bully the shit out of this guy now.

Gary being an alien pretending to be a jewish human was antisemitic not least of all for reeking of the lizard conspiracy bullshit. >_<

Gideon turning into a human and only truly being 'welcomed to the crew' at that point and immediately getting a romantic/sexual awakening arc. It might have been interesting if Gideon ultimately decided she preferred being an AI, instead of some weird modern day little mermaid type nonsense, but no. She was a person before she became a human, but I really feel like the plot treated her like she was only now a person because she shed her fins and grew legs lost her Waverider shell and took on human form.

So, so many instances, I could probably get asked this question a dozen times and have a dozen different answers and still not have exhausted the things I'd have done differently with my fav fandoms.

Um... to just pick one for now... I would have done Cisco's exit from the show differently. Carlos was leaving the show, there was no keeping the character, but there was a chance to have Cisco exit the show in a way that really honored the character.

So the thing with Frost's arrest in S7 could have opened up an arc about ARGUS not honoring their deal with Team Flash about how the meta cure would be handled. Cisco takes this personally and investigates into how the CCPD had (illegally) acquired the 'cure', which could have had him working with Cecile on one side to sue the city for - amongst other things - violating Cisco's patent on the drug itself by manufacturing it without a license and illegal experimentation on inmates by forcing the meta cure on metahuman criminals without their consent. Meanwhile bring in Lyla for a bit as she had no idea that the cure had been essentially stolen from ARGUS and she's there to work with Cisco on the other end of things to find out where the leak in ARGUS is coming from and of course they find a small part of the problem but not the whole thing. And while the Central City side of the story would get wrapped up as a half-season thing, maybe with Cecile doing some lingering legal work in the second half of S7, Cisco feels obligated to continue working with ARGUS to find all the stolen cure and lock down the leak within the organization.

Maybe Cisco feels guilty because something he created to help himself remove powers that actively hurt him - migraines and the like from his visions, not that amatonormative BS the show gave us as justification in S5 - is now being used to harm people by taking away their powers without their consent. But also revealed an underground movement of metas whose powers they do want gone because they're afraid of meta-human trafficking or their powers suck or they just want to be normal and Cisco wants to give them the same right to chose that he did. So his decision he can do more good with ARGUS doesn't come out of nowhere.

It'd dovetail nicely with Kamilla getting the chance to focus more on her art in Star City and the two of them choosing to leave Central City together, since Lyla would want Cisco working with her specifically at her Star City location.

It would have also given the whole 'Barry having issues with SF!Nora' plot a chance to be something other than Barry's loved ones treating him like he's being unreasonable for having his trauma triggered regarding his mom's death and the Speed Force's previous mistreatment of him. With everyone being so tied up in really important things - even Iris is busy reporting on the city side of the meta cure scandal - Barry doesn't want to bother any of them with the SF making him feel uncomfortable just because she doesn't respect his boundaries. He's just making a mountain out of a molehill, right? He and Chester and Allegra can totally handle the new Forces thing on their own.

And then Cisco leaves and the SF!Nora + new Forces situation promptly explodes in everyone's face.

6: Has fandom ever made you enjoy a pairing you previously hated?

It was because of some excellent fandom writers that I really grew to like Blainofsky as a transformative pairing in season 6. There had been so much anger about the pairing before the season aired, it definitely managed to break all of my blacklists, but I really loved the meta and stories that fandom created after each episode exploring the whys and hows.

7: Is there anything you used to like but can’t stand now?

I don't think so? Glee has always been my happy place, so I've been pretty forgiving of its flaws over the years.

16: If you could change anything in the show, what would you change?

I would have given the role of Maria to Mercedes. I think having Rachel lose something that she really wanted would have been better story development for her.

25: Would you change the ending of Glee?

I wouldn't. I thought it was a pretty damn perfect send-off for my beloved perfectly imperfect show.

17) Begging Anne to have just written a separate series or two about aliens and angels, would've had blood canticle focus on Quinn and Mona being incorporated into vampire society instead of yet another new love affair for Lestat.

19) Non-petty answer: people not reading the books and people misrepresenting the books in the meta. I started looking at meta posts after I read QOTD while I was still working through the rest and I would see things mentioned in meta and then eventually get to the book they were talking about and find out it just...never happened, or was taken seriously out of context.

Petty answer: Absolute refusal to take into account historical context or the role of kink and fantasy in regards to some characters, especially Marius, and people being hypocrites by glossing over what their faves have done while expecting other people (again, especially fans of Marius) to constantly talk about his flaws.

I’m the type of person who believes communication is key, so I always try to communicate first.

Also, when I consider unfollowing, it’s when I follow someone, leave a comment, send prompts to their inbox, react to their open starter, and they still ignore me even though they’re online every day with hundred ooc posts. Why did you even add me? If you’re busy, that’s okay, but at least out of courtesy, you could reply and let me know. This has happened to me three times here on Tumblr, and I gave each account about five months to respond to my message, checking if everything was okay. When they didn’t, unfollow. I’m not a follower collector. Sorry.

For me, the whole fandom ruined Tsuna many years ago. From roleplays where he was portrayed as a weak uke, to perverted fanart, and even perverted doujinshi (some of them causing me trauma (O_O)). No, hell no. Tsuna deserves better.

I always get angry when someone tries to influence others on topics like what is appropriate to roleplay and what is not. We can find sooo many posts about what is right and what is not. Nowadays, roleplayers feel under pressure because of this. What will others think when they come up with something different from what others expect? Where is freedom for creativity? I'm not talking about illegal things like pedophilia and such; that's understandable. No roleplayer is in a position to dictate what is appropriate or not; it's just their subjective opinion, which you may or may not agree with. We are all equal after all. So please, don’t spread hate when you see something you personally don’t like or wouldn’t roleplay. Just ignore it.

Mmm... the only thing that I can think of is if someone reposts art without credit and without permission from the artist. HOWEVER, I usually do talk to the person and tell them about my concerns first. I don't just unfollow instantly. I at least give them a chance after explaining to them why it's in my rules. If they can understand and say that they'll be more mindful of it moving forwards, we're good. IF they tell me anything like 'I don't care, I want to post pretty art onto my blog' or 'it's the artists fault for posting their art if they don't want it posted elsewhere,' then I WILL instantly unfollow AND BLOCK.

[edit] I remembered a reason for me to instantly unfollow/block someone. If I find out that someone engages in underaged muses doing smut, I will unfollow/block instantly. This is one of the only times that I'll unfollow/block without warning because this-- to put it lightly... is a trigger for me.

♦ What was a mildly annoying thing that has happened to you rp wise?

Hm... mildly annoying... I mostly have things that don't annoy me or REALLY annoy me. The only mildly annoying thing that I can think of is when random artists will come into my ims and be like 'can I offer my services for commission?' I understand that they are trying to promote themselves and such, but... I don't really like it.

It happens a lot on dA, where people will promote themselves in my notes or in my ims because they see that i've commissioned a lot of art or bought a lot of adoptables over the years. Just because of that, it doesn't mean I want to buy from every artist out there. I find it rude for people to just come into my dms to request for me to purchase a commission from them. I wouldn't mind if they simply asked me to look through their gallery, but to ask for me to buy from them? That bothers me a little bit. ESPECIALLY the ones who send me multiple messages hours apart. That one actually annoys me quite a bit.

♚ How many people don't like you?

I have no idea on a number, but I can think of a few who don't like me in this fandom and outside of this fandom. I won't talk on this fandom, but for those outside of the fandom? I can think of many Inu//yasha fandom people who don't like me because that fandom is really bad with stealing art and resposting them without permission. I kept speaking about how bad it is and I got into arguments with people about it. With many of the people saying 'it's the artists fault for posting their art if they don't want it reposted,' I left the fandom. It was stressing me out. I've blocked a good number of them.

There was a time because of the Inu\\yasha sequel and me playing Sesshomaru... and me being mutuals with someone who... had tastes that I don't agree with... I was getting a lot of hate from people accusing me of being a p//edo-apologist. I have since cut-ties with the person once I found out, but I did get hate for something that no one thought to warn me about. This is why for a long time I was terrified of my inbox.

I'm sure the moderator team of a RP group I was once a part of years ago don't like me either. It's a long-ass story, but in simple terms: if you want to talk smack about trans or non-binary people, don't do it on a twitter that you LINKED in your bio page??? That's fucking stupid??? Of course people are going to want to leave your group if one of the MODERATORS is talking like that.

I know that there were two separate occasions of big KHR drama. I avoided those because for the first one, I wasn't in the fandom yet. For the second one, I didn't really visit the KHR discord server often enough to see the drama that was going on. That event caused a number of the KHR fandom to leave the RPC, including Kiril, my favorite Hibari. He was the one that gave Haru her little 'Mi-chan' (her own lil Hibird).

I've literally never had a good experience in ANY RP discord server. All of them ended horribly. Two RP groups crashed and burned because of moderators not doing a good job. Another smaller server crashed and burned because of incidents between the members. The Inu\\yasha one? I never joined it, but BECAUSE I didn't join it, people stopped interacting with me as much. It was like they felt offended that I didn't trust joining the server because 'do you think we'd start drama?'

WELL!!!!! ONE OF YOU DOXXED A GIRL'S DAUGHTER, AND Y'ALL BULLIED AND KICKED OUT MY FRIEND- SO YE, I DON'T TRUST YOU GUYS WORTH A DAMN, YOU FUCKS. Best decision for me to NOT join that server.

TLDR: The fact that I'm not super active in public spaces, I feel, helped me stay out of a lot of drama over the years.

... Yes. The small server that I briefly mentioned above? I did try to mediate between members. I did try to have people see eye to eye, but... it didn't work. A lot of it is the fact that personalities really clashed and ... a lot of hurtful words were said. It didn't end well.

Mmmn... I'm not sure how to answer this... as there are things that bother me or annoy me in the RP sphere, but they are also usually minor things that I am very willing to simply gloss over and ignore, so I won't count those for this answer. As it is a salt meme, I think this is really asking for things that I'm not so willing to overlook.

I won't talk about things like rule-breaking because that's just... an obvious answer.

I suppose something that actually peeves me off is if I see someone reblogging a lot of call\\out posts. I'm sure some of them are very valid, but I've also seen some where I do think a lot of it was simply misunderstandings. I say this because it happened in KHR RPC years ago where someone said the wrong thing because English wasn't native tongue and people took the words out of context, witch hunted them and they left the fandom.

I suppose another thing that really upsets me is hypocrisy. It's aggravating to me when someone is in their rules saying 'Communication is important,' 'vague posting is bad, so don't do it! I'll block on sight!' and 'don't start drama, I hate it!' and also be the ones who DO vague on their blog, they DO actively ghost and block people instead of communicating, and DOXX people when they're upset. Then they go around and STEAL AU ideas from the person who upset them. THAT PEEVES ME OFF. Full transparency? I'm talking about the Inu\\yasha fandom here. THIS is what happened.

You can't sit there in your rules and claim you hate drama and that you value communication but also refuse to communicate. Then you also vague post??? I'll never forget the energy of them going 'if you think this post is about you, IT IS' LIKE WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?????????????????? I was already going to leave the fandom because of the art reposting but when I saw that??? OH, I left in a HEARTBEAT. FK THEM.

I'll NEVER forgive that fandom for what they did to my friend. I saw how hurt she was over what happened. Not gonna lie, a lot of the times, I noticed that people who claim they value communication and hate drama in their rules usually end up being in drama and not communicate. That's my hot take.

Source? //motions to the inu\\yasha fandom. SO MANY OF THEM said this in their rules and yet they propogated the drama with being very cliquey, booting people out of servers without a warning. Or you made a completely new server and didn't re-invite one person. So then their friend who was in the new server invited the person in because they didn't know why you made the new server to begin with. Ghosting people without a warning, ignoring people for weeks or months on end without explanation. Yeah. Okay. You care for communication. Right.

They just want to be your friend'. I'm sure you know who I'm talking about. This person is EXACTLY the reason why super rarely will ever send an anonymous ask. If I do, it's usually because i'm on the wrong blog. I'll always state who I am.

ANYWAYS, I wanted to reach out to them because I wanted to explain to them that some of their habits were bad in RPC. If they actually wanted to interact with people, there were some things they had to change. Unfortunately, they didn't really follow female muses.

As such, I brought in a male muse and they instantly followed when they saw I was interacting with some KHR blogs lol.

My blood pressure SKYROCKETS whenever I think about them. The person had such entitlement. I remember one time they got mad at me for not responding quickly to messages. I was a college student going for my CHEMISTRY degree. I'm busy! I said that and they were like 'okay I forgive you' HAH!!?!?!?!?! FORGIVE ME???? FOR WHAT!? Ooooooo I almost died from the anger right then and there. I got so mad.

What happened? I was like 'hey that's rude to expect me to respond quickly at all hours of the day. RP is a hobby and I do it for fun, it's not a job. THEY FUCKING BLOCKED ME! BLOCKED ME!!!!

After a few days, they unblocked me and was like 'are you ready to RP with me now?' OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH THE VITRIOL I WAS FILLED WITH. My ass really went: "Sure! I'm ready to rp with you as long as you're ready to talk about the way you speak to me"

BLOCKED AGAIN.

I think it was for a week that time? 'Are you ready to rp with me now?' OHHH the sheer anger I had. 'Are you going to block me any time I have an issue?' Blocked again.

They came back like, 'oh sorry I blocked you on accident'. I said "An accidental block 3 times in a row?' Blocked.

Phew... the patience I had with them. In that moment I decided they were a lost cause so I blocked them. I wasn't willing to give them any more chances. I wasn't willing to try to forgive them or anything. Not to mention that they wrote an underaged muse and kept trying to smut. When someone called them out on it, 'age is just a number, nya~'

Look. The immense hatred and disgust I STILL feel about this person is real. We lost KHR people over this person because they kept harassing people.

The one time some anon accused me of being a p\\edo apologist when I'm a victim of such in my younger years. They accused me because I was mutuals with someone who... wrote such content but they didn't tell me WHO. It took me months to figure out who it was and during that time it was CONSTANT anon hate across my many blogs.

I had PANIC attacks over this. I lost my chill at the first anon ask and afterwards it was just panic attacks.

The other time I lost my chill is up above.

Eh... I honestly don't pay attention to too many fandoms, but I recall many years ago the Dan\\ganronpa was apparently stated to not be very open and accepting and was pretty elitist? Inu\\yasha fandom had a lot of cliques. That's all I can think of.

I don't mind it at all! I actually get a bit happy sometimes, because it's like AYYYYYYY FELLOW SISTER/BROTHER WHO LIKES THE SAME MUSE!!!! I feel if they follow me, it shows that they can tolerate and accept my portrayal so it's nice to see.

❥ Has someone ever ruined an FC or character for you?

Yes, Daisuke Niwa. In this case, the NAME and the FC have been ruined for me. I will forever associate both the FC and the name with that person who really annoyed me and was the cause for a number of my friends leaving the KHR RPC.

❧ Have you ever been jealous of anyone?

No, I only felt envy. Jealousy is the worry that someone will take what you have. I've only felt envious- wanting something that someone else had. This is primarily for when I first joined the RPC and a lot of people weren't giving Haru a chance. So I was envious of people who had mutuals to write with.

♒ Thoughts on the fandom you're currently rping in?

There were a lot of ups and downs, but I can say that for the most part, I mostly enjoyed my time here rather than hating it. Sure, there were times that I was really hurt, even recently, but-- I don't regret being a part of the RPC. I had a lot of fun here and made some good friends in it.

lolol I'm unpopular in my opinion on this one, but my least favourite leader would be Faramir. He is, coincidentally, my least favourite character in the trilogy.

I love everyone else, even Denethor, but Faramir? Not a fan, personally. I think it's really down to his speech/conversation with Frodo about the Races of Men that rubbed me wrong and I've never been able to unruffle those feathers. I suspect I would have an easier time of it if Fandom wasn't just here to regularly suck Faramir's dick with minimal critical thought but you know, so it goes with fandom /shrug

(obviously there are people who like faramir and who are like, "Yeah his Hot Takes on the Race of Men are Fucked but I still like him as a character," and those people are great. Shout to those people.)

I will say, I do like the complicated relationship that is portrayed between Faramir and Boromir and I wish that got more airtime. Because Boromir unequivocally loved Faramir, no bad word could be said etc. But Faramir was obviously a lot more luke-warm/had complicated feelings about his brother. And that felt very real and normal between siblings--especially those dealing with a father like Denethor.

(An aside: all the sibling dynamics in the trilogy are great - and they're all complicated and weird and a bit messed up and I wish fandom was ok with being like: none of these people are their sibling's best friend. Eomer doesn't know diddly squat about his sister because he was absent all the time. Faramir had some Views and Hot Takes about his brother where it's clear the unconditional love was a one way street of Boromir to Faramir and not the other way around. And all of that is ok! It's, in fact, better than their relationships being perfect! anyway.)

7. what character did you begin to hate not because of canon but because how how the fandom acts about them?

both halves of wangxian, which sort of sucks!! since they are the protagonist and deuteragonist of the whole book!! I will say that finding occasions to write wwx and lwj in both fic and rp have helped me regain some of the original warm fuzzy thoughts and feelings I used to have about them when I first saw the show and became obsessed with xiao zhan's incandescent smile, but I think in general I'm content to leave the wangxian fawning and stanning up to other people. they've got loads of fans ready to aggressively love them no matter what shitty thing they say or do, they don't need me lol.

3. Have you ever unfollowed someone over a fandom opinion?

- a few times actually, but because said opinions happened to be either extremely ableist, transphobia, proshipper rhetoric, or infantilization of trauma victims, etc, things that are reflections of poor character irl passed as "opinions" that I'd much rather not see on my dash or associate with. Ship discourse and or ooc characterizations and the like for fictional media are things I usually just mute or ignore otherwise

9. Most disliked character(s)? Why?

- a lot of my choices are the usual common ones for the reasons you'd expect, though most of them I can respect as nuanced/complex characters and write/portray them as such. The main ones I dislike being Zote, the White Lady, the Pale King, Soul Master, and the Radiance.

Particularly the Radiance and White Lady. Zote is annoying, Soul Master is a haughty immortality seeking asshole that throws others under the wheels for his own gain, the Pale King is an in-denial deity seeking any methods to purpetuate his kingdom at the ultimate cost of his own kids, etc (at least he had regrets though? I'm not about to defend him though tbh)

But the White Lady and Radiance? Despicable. Both more than capable and willing to throw their own "children" into eternal suffering and hell for the sake of their wars. Radiance infecting and wiping out the entire populace of Hallownest over her fury towards another god for "stealing" from her. Burning everything to the ground and leaving nothing but sickness and corpses. No matter how justified her anger or fear of being forgotten could be, she has laid waste to the entirety of a population in the name of her rage and slaughtered countless mortals caught in the crossfire of a godly spat

The White Lady? Bitch. Biggest bitch. How her responsibility in things is often overlooked in fandom portrayals is astounding to me because, as the only one of the three gods involved in this shitfest that you actually can just talk to ingame, her complete and utter dismissal towards her remaining spawn, from her cold indifference towards Hollow as a "tarnished impure failure" to her insistence that Ghost offer themselves up as sacrifice for a kingdom that they owe nothing to, that left them to die, is vile on a level that makes me despise her the most out of most of these choices here. She then hides away to assuage her own guilt and leaves the rest of the kingdom she claimed to care for to burn, speaking to her last remaining child as an object and pleading with them to lie their neck over the guillotine for a kingdom long since burned to ashes while she does nothing but hide away

I'd fist fight her in a McDonald's parking lot at 2 am and win

11. Is there an unpopular character that you like that the fandom doesn't? Why?

- I'm a pretty basic bitch in that most of the characters I like/dislike are also popularly liked/disliked in most fandom spaces but uhhh if I had to pick I'd say Unn. She's kinda just vibing under her lake separate from all the other godly bullshit going on and yeah she's not really trying hard to keep her own land but she's also kinda causing way less problems for everyone else unlike some aforementioned gods in this salt post. Also Greenpath as a nature realm is THRIVING compared to the rest of the burnt up and abandoned husk that is Hallownest so...Unn for the win lol

14. Unpopular opinion about your fandom?

- Some people spend an excessive amount of time gatekeeping ships and characterizations and it's just..not that serious guys xD

Granted it's not a HUGE problem, but if I had a dollar for every time I have someone showing up in mine, or other ppl's, inboxes to inform them about how their characterization/au/ship for XYZ character is "incorrect" and lives rent free in their mind in a negative way to the point where they just HAVE to tell you how bad it is, I'd have a hefty pocket full of dollars right now. Other people having harmless headcanons and ships shouldn't consume so much of your time and energy to the point where you NEED to hit up the inboxes of Pale King stans or Quirrelnet/Pale Nightmare/oc x canon shippers to needlessly shit on their day and tell them they should stop liking things because you can't use your mute and block functions to curate your own space accordingly. Log off and go outside and breathe some fresh air, I'm begging you. You can not like or even HATE certain interpretations of characters, you can rant about them in your own spaces, whatever. But don't come into MY inbox telling me not to ship oc x canon because you hate women and can't stand seeing your fave fictional blorbo with zero canon dialogue or relationship content shipped with a girl. I promise you I don't give a shit xD
