so early in the series, pearl grows in this moment at the same time as her love for rose grows, if she could possibly love her more than she already did.

sworn to the sword is about pearl teaching connie her mindset: to prioritize the safety of the one she loves during a dangerous situation.

it’s implied that this was pearl + rose’s biggest argument. there were many reasons as to why they thought the other was being illogical. but pearl was also so deeply in love with her that she couldn’t bare to see her hurt, even slightly. that’s what caused the argument: rose felt the exact same way about pearl.

after rose’s death, she relives it. when she teaches connie to fight using her mindset from the war, steven reacts just like rose did.

because connie + steven mean everything to each other.

when connie asks pearl if rose made her feel like she was nothing, pearl laughs because she’s in the middle of an epiphany that says the opposite.

they fought because rose acted like if she lost pearl, she would lose everything. pearl acted the same way.

rose made her feel like she was everything, but she didn’t want her to. she couldn’t see the love behind it because she was so focused on rose being everything to her.

she’s slowly learning self confidence and to not care so much about others that she forgets about herself, which makes her realize how rose truly felt, which makes her realize just how much rose loved her.

Honestly even though we never get to see it, I’m sure other Zelda’s go through a similar process of “why are my powers not working, why doesn’t the goddess speak, am I broken?”

The only other Zelda’s magical awakening we really get to see is Skyward Sword’s, and hers is a very immediate “oh fuck I’m the reincarnation of a goddess, I have the whole world’s safety on my shoulders, OH FUCK” and “if I am the goddess and the goddess chose a specific knight to reincarnate as her chosen doesn’t that mean I’m manipulating my best friend, my crush? I’m not a goddess I’m a MONSTER”

Bringing up Steven universe, but Hylia and Pink diamond/Rose quartz really fell in love with a mortal goober of a man and decided that they would kill themselves for him. For different reasons, but they are shaking hands. Put your burdens on someone else through the process of self death reincarnation or having a doomed pregnancy? Steven universe and skyward sword Zelda would understand each other greatly I think

This sword is noteworthy due to the fact that it was expertly crafted to be able to destroy a gem’s physical form in a single blow—shattering the body, but not the gem. As this description is rather short I will also say that I’m very fond of the design of this sword as well!

Sasha's Heron Swords

Wielder: Sasha Waybright

Sasha was gifted these swords by Grime, the pink one when she proved herself to be an ally by defending the Toad Tower against herons, and the silver one later as a sign of respect and trust. Herons, the birds depicted on the hilt, are actually deadly creatures in Amphibia, so their inclusion in the design on the sword has a more powerful air to it than one would expect from a bird motif.

After Lancelot perished in combat, Laurel begged Istus to bring back his love. Lady Istus declined, and instead told her chosen to save their beloved captain himself, and sent him back in time. Laurel is now stuck in a time loop, desperately trying to save Lance from the clutches of death. His memories reset to a certain point in the loops.
