Sorry, but for me J.K didn't write good romances. We don't know Astoria, Rolf and Hannah. Lupin and Tonks appeared out of nowhere. Jily is undrinkable. Hinny has little or no development over 7 books even though they have really known each other since volume 2. Romione is really not great from my point of view. Don't even get me started on Dumbledor and Grindelwald...

Bill & Fleur are the only ones, among the young characters, that I find cute and even then it's a very secondary couple. Honestly, Molly and Arthur are the only real Harry Potter goal couple in my eyes. And yet, they also haven't seen them much !

since nuna (neville x luna) are and have been one of my otps since i first became part of the hp fandom, whenever i write next gen lorcan and lysander scamander are actually lorcan and lysander longbottom and they're neville and luna's kids. but recently i had an idea for the twins that i love even more

so whenever i write next gen, lorcan and lysander also have a younger sister named alice who's 6 years younger than them. in my head, alice looks a lot like neville and the twins both look mostly like luna. i also have an oc named ivan scamander who is rolf and hannah abbott's, and he's 3 years younger than the twins.

so what if, instead of the twins being neville's from the start, they're from luna's first marriage to rolf?

luna and rolf meet and become friends when rolf returns to hogwarts for his eighth year. they get married soon after graduation, even though they're mostly just good friends. they have the twins together and when the twins are a year old, they end up divorcing.

pretty soon after rolf and hannah meet at the leaky cauldron and start talking. to be honest, hannah getting pregnant is sort of a surprise, and rolf definitely shows up at luna's in a panic when he finds out. he and hannah end up deciding to keep the kid though, aka ivan scamander.

around the same time that ivan is born, luna and neville run into each other at some event or something and start talking again. they write letters back and forth about plants and theories and the latest edition of the quibbler before neville finally works up the courage to ask her out (with a lot, and i mean a lot, of encouragement from harry and ginny) and they start dating. they get married after 2 years and alice is born another year later.

all of that is to say, lorcan and lysander are ivan's half siblings and also have a younger half-sister named alice, and i think that's great

honestly i see rolf as sort of a mess, especially with this au, so he may or may not also get divorced from hannah at some point. idk who he'd date after that - i'm thinking one of the background hufflepuff boys (justin, ernie, or zacharias)

Okay but set during Halfblood Prince! Female pronouns, Ravenclaw reader.

The reader is friends with Rolf, Luna, and Hannah. Rolf and Luna are the couple goals of the friend group. Also the reader is crushing on Neville, who secretly has a crush on her. Hannah is more focused on school than dating. Meanwhile, Seamus can't get a date to save his life and Dean starts dating Ginny. The reader, Dean, and Seamus start a little folk band (yk kinda like that Ed Sheeran song Galway Girl) and she starts dating Seamus because she doesn't think Neville is interested. You decide if it ends in fluff or angst.

Summary: When all the reader's friends seem to be lucky in love, she feels left out. It seems like even Neville has been on dates with Hannah, who doesn't date. The only person in the same boat as her is Seamus. Dean and Seamus convince their Ravenclaw friend that they should start an Irish band. But does it solve or cause problems, when their friends find out about the little band at a Gryffindor party?

Warnings: Angsty but fluffy?, underage drinking, implication of weed, canon ships, emotional cheating, miscommunication, idiots in love, and also implied Irish reader? (a Galway Girl is a girl from Galway which is in Western Ireland)

It all started about four months ago, Rolf Scamander had asked you advice for a date with a girl he really liked and you gave him advice. You didn't know who Rolf could possibly have a crush on but you were hyper aware of his sudden fascination with your housemate, Luna Lovegood. She was your friend and so was he. The two of them had never been close until they began hanging out four months ago. You hadn't thought much of it until they became your couple goals. They officially started dating after the third date. Everything about their relationship seemed to be like they were always meant to be together. It reminded you of how when you were twelve, you believed in soulmates. But it wasn't long before they realized that their own mutual pining made them blind to the fact that you had a crush on Neville Longbottom for years. They immediately felt bad and made your crush their business. Luna was pretty close with Neville and made sure he spent more time around your small friend group. But you were pretty sure he'd never like you. Hannah Abbott was the only other member of your small friend group and she spent most her time studying. She always said she was much too busy for dating but she also seemed to be rather close with Neville. Actually, the more you thought about it Neville had more friends than you. He was seemingly friends with Harry Potter and his friends. But Neville's closest friends were Dean Thomas and Seamus Finnigan. But then as of recent due to Luna and Rolf's interference, Neville's friends became yours. The friend group went for from four to seven.....eight when Dean started dating Ginny Weasley last month.

You were trying to get the group together for a group for a Hogsmead e trip but everyone had different plans . Ginny and Dean had a date. Rolf and Luna had a date. Hannah and Neville didn't really say what they were doing but both mentioned the greenhouses so you kind of assumed. So it was just you and Seamus. But it wasn't a date, you were just friends. It was obvious by how this forced date-like atmosphere made you both uncomfortable. So you both just went back to the castle and threw yourselves into studying in the library. After the third time of being ditched by your friends for dates, you guys just knew it was easier to go to the library and study. However, Seamus brought up something this particular time he hadn't brought up before. "Do you like Irish folk music?"

"Who's asking? You or Dean?"

"What?"

"Dean's going through a rough patch with Ginny and she likes Irish folk music."

"Right...thanks. Hey, want to start a band? You, Dean, and me?"

"What do I get out of it?" You raised an eyebrow and Seamus shrugged. "The joy of knowing you helped out a friend or two." The only problem with it was you didn't think Ginny genuinely liked Dean. "No. Tell Dean to find someone else." You got up and walked away.

You'd been dodging Seamus and Dean for days, when they'd finally managed to corner you. You were in the Gryffindor common room looking for Neville. You were ready to finally confront him about his relationship with Hannah. It was irritating enough that you knew Hannah didn't tell you she liked Neville but the least they could do was admit they were together. You could have asked Hannah for the truth but something told you it'd feel more true if you'd heard it from Neville. Maybe you needed closure? However, you didn't find Neville because you ran into his two best friends. "Y/N, I know you think Ginny and I fight a lot." Dean started and you cut in harshly. "You do fight a lot." He took a sharp intake of breath before continuing. "But this isn't just for me. This could be good for all of us. Seamus won't be that Irish kid who can hold his whiskey. We can book gigs and make money. You can finally afford that trip to America you're always talking about." You couldn't help but be a little interested in the idea. "I'll think about it. But you have to make me a promise. Neville can never know I was here today." The two boys looked at each other then back at you before Dean grinned. "We promise, he won't know." You nodded and left the Gryffindor common room.

It was that weekend, the three of you were in the library whispering amongst yourselves about this band of yours. You were secretly passing around a small flask of fire whiskey under the table and sitting at one of the back tables where not many people would sit. "So are we going with trad tunes, newer stuff, or our own music?" You asked with a bit of curiosity gracing your face and Seamus shrugged. "Why not all three? How about instruments? Y/N, you should sing." You frowned. "I can really wanna play the fiddle but in songs where it's not needed I'll sing." Dean nodded. "I can sing most times then because Seamus can't sing worth shit and honestly I think we'll need like a piano." Seamus rolled his eyes. "We'll need some base so Bodhrán? We'll probably sound like shit but at least we'll be ridiculed as friends." Those were the last words said before you guys spent the rest of the Quidditch season doing band practice instead of supporting your Quidditch teams.

You were ecstatic when you heard Gryffindor got the Quidditch Cup but extremely disappointed. They'd beat your team. You quietly walked over to your table in mock shame while the Gryffindors celebrated. You walked over to Neville after the feast and asked if you were invited to the party to celebrate Gryffindor's win. He informed you that he'd thought Seamus or Dean would have invited you since you seemed to be with them a lot lately. There seemed to be a hint of anger in his voice. And you couldn't hold back the vile feeling that built up inside you. "Well excuse me for wanting to actually hang out with my friends. You and Hannah seem to always be at the greenhouse. Luna and Rolf are always together. Dean and Ginny.... they're on a break. And Seamus...well he and I are in the same boat." You quickly walked away catching up with Dean and Seamus. It seemed like your body relaxed almost instantly as you started laughing with them about some inside joke Neville couldn't understand. "She doesn't mean it, you know." He recognized the voice but turned to look anyways. "Yes, she does. She's right. You and I are always together lately. I didn't think about how that must look to our friends until..."

"The girl you like said it?"

"Yeah."

"Back in third year, she said you were her type."

"Do you think I still am?" Hannah shrugged in response to the question. They quietly walked to the Gryffindor common room where the celebration for winning Quidditch Cup was being thrown.

When they got to the common room, Neville saw you chatting with Dean, Seamus, and Ginny. From the looks of it Dean and Ginny made up again. You looked really happy and you had a drink in hand. He turned his attention to Ron, who everyone in Gryffindor was praising, and was shocked by Lavender Brown suddenly kissing him. But he clapped along with everyone else in the room. It didn't even occur to him to care that Harry and Hermione left or that shortly after Lavender and Ron left. It seemed pretty normal behavior. He just went back to watching you with his two best friends. He joined the small group only to notice you were ignoring him. "Seamus, I'll bet 5 gaellons I can beat you at darts." It was shook on and sure enough you won. "Double nothing for pool." He said he conjured up a pool table and you nodded. In agreement to his terms. Sure enough, you beat him. "You owe me 10 gaellons, Finnigan." He rolled his eyes and you smirked. "You know what? You're really cute, I'll excuse your debt." All at once three voices screamed "WHAT?!" All male Gryffindors and your friends. You pulled him into a kiss and kisses him like no one else was there. He didn't know Neville had a crush on you. How could he? Neville was always with Hannah! He pulled you closer and kissed back. It was only a few minutes before he pulled back and you both grinning. "Debt paid." Neville walked away in what looked to be an annoyed state. You cringed but you didn't do it to hurt him. You did it because you felt like you needed a win and whining over a boy with a girlfriend wasn't a win. "Seamus, wanna go to Hogsmeade together sometime?" You asked with a bit of regret and he nodded but didn't seem to know what to say. You knew he usually had a crude sense of humor but in the past few weeks you'd grown so accustom to it.... actually kinda found it funny. And in that same way, grown to rather close to him and Dean. But his sense of humor isn't why you felt regret. It was the brunette boy, who was talking to Luna. Luna looked at you in shock and then shrugged at Neville. She didn't have an explanation and you didn't expect her to.

Neville seemed shocked as Ginny announced that a had a surprise had been arranged for Gryffindor. The music that was playing was stopped while Ginny explained what the surprise was.

You, Seamus, and Dean were singing and playing your instruments to traditional Irish songs. Dean seemed so uncomfortable with how close you and Seamus suddenly were. Neville, Luna, and Rolf sat in a corner talking about this surprise. "I just can't believe it. Just yesterday, she was complaining about how Neville was dating Hannah." Rolf muttered and Neville rolled his eyes. "I'm not. We've just been hanging out in the greenhouse together. We're friends." Luna laughed slightly. "Hannah didn't tell you?"

"Tell me what?"

"Y/N had a crush on you."

"Well Hannah told me that."

"Well... sometimes she hides her feelings."

"What are you trying to say?"

Rolf cut in. "Well, you could ask Y/N or you could retreat over there." He pointed to a group of Gryffindors with a cloud of smoke surrounding them. "And relieve your stress how you usually do." Of course Neville didn't want to confront the girl who just kissed his best friend so he walked over to the group of Gryffindors. They probably got it from his dorm mates anyways. He was actually doing a pretty good job of tuning the little band out. It wasn't until heard the song "Carrickfergus" that he had to look up. He'd heard Seamus play this song a million times over. But he'd never heard it sang so sweet. You were amazing to him.

After awhile, Seamus and Dean had enough and wanted to get back to the party. But you still wanted to sing your heart out. This wasn't for Dean or Seamus. This wasn't for your band. You were doing this for you. You shot back another glass of fire whiskey and were back at it. Except this time you had to sing a capella in and use your feet for a beat. Seamus was amazed at your enthusiasm and couldn't stop calling you his girlfriend to anyone that would listen. Neville, however, was silent. He was memorizing everything about you in this moment. He wanted to have your voice playing on repeat for a week. Any normal person would think you were singing to the boy claiming to be your boyfriend and maybe you should have been. But you weren't. Your heart immediately wanted to reach out to the boy who'd liked since you were like twelve or thirteen. But the part you were unaware of is even this packed room, he would swear on his life you were singing to him. But his hopes and dreams were crushed Cormac McLaggen convinced you to let him play some Weird Sisters and other Wizard Rock music. Seamus immediately grabbed your waist, kissed you on the neck, and then took you by the hand. You smiled at the boy nervously like you didn't know what was happening. He smiled in a way that was actually comforting and said, "Baby, I just want to dance." But the entire time you were dancing with Seamus, you were thinking about Neville.

When the few Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws that showed up had outstayed their welcome, you walked back to your common room with Neville. Luna had convinced Seamus it was safer if Neville took you back since he hadn't drank as much. And if Seamus wasn't so drunk maybe he would have thought about how Luna was going to the same place as you anyway. But he was still shooting back firewhiskey and couldn't think straight. So you were holding hands with Neville as you walked through the corridors.

Come tomorrow you'd be Seamus' girlfriend but tonight you could be Neville's. He smelt of smoke and whiskey. It was so intoxicating but your lungs were full of the cool night air that the stone castle walls let in. You smiled at him and whispered. "I swear I'm gonna put you in a song that I write."

"I'm not Seamus you know."

"That's why it'll be about a Galway Girl and her perfect night."

Neville shook his head in disbelief. He was convinced you wouldn't remember it tomorrow so he spoke words he shouldn't. "Then I guess you're my pretty little Galway Girl."

My old Harry Potter fanfictions

Sooo... as many other Potterheads before I wrote fanfictions. I am now 20 years old and I wrote them when I was ten. Well, writing isnt exactly the right Word to use. I actually only wrote down 2 of them. The rest were just plans I had in my head. I knew exactly How it was gonna go and what the final Showdown will be.

Ofc, my 10 year old self wasnt very good with 2 Things.

1. Almost everyone is OOC. The worst got my favorite character of them all, Severus Snape. He did stuff and said stuff I was, at my rereading like: Yeah, no, Severus would never say that. (Funny enough the only two FF I actually wrote down Was a Snily fanfiction and I basically made him a Damsel in Distress). Thats also another trait of mine. I Show my love with torture. Mostly everyone just gets kidnapped...seriously there isnt one that doesnt involve someone getting kidnapped.

2. I let some of the good characters do some Pretty bad stuff. While I never liked Canon James or Sirius, both of them were straight up villians in the only two Maurauder fanfics I wrote down. Well, "Maurauder". One Was the Snily fanfiction and one Was James PotterxOC for whatever reason. Yeah... but we talk about my OCs some other time. They were all Pretty cringe and Mary Sues.

But ofc as a very Romantic Girl, I had a story for my back then favorite ships. (Funny enough is I dont even ship some of these anymore but well).

I ship them and wanted to do a story for them but I never had the thoughts left for them since I was so invested in the other Storys. Especially Percy and Audrey. I used to be obsessed with my Headcanons of Audrey Weasley, Pretty easy since we dont even know her maiden Name. But Yeah thats why they have to pass. Im gonna Post Haruna first in my next Post.

{Cedric Diggory x Y/N} ∞

The Hufflepuff common room is ethereal. The room is round with low ceilings and circular windows lining its walls. The afternoon sun beams through them, brightening up the room. The walls are adorned with honey colored hangings, and there are shelves where beautiful potted plants sit upon.

The four Hufflepuffs immediately find their spot in the back of the room, and sit down at their table.

"Your common room makes ours seem lame," I say, still taking it all in.

"It's cozy," Ernie says. "Always feels like home."

Justin starts a match of wizards' chess, which we take turns playing as we wait for Cedric's return.

Everytime the entrance to the common room opens, I find myself turning to look at it, to see if it's him. And every time, I'm disappointed.

Until it's finally him, and I can feel my heart beating stronger, my skin feeling warmer, and my head spinning faster.

"Hi Clever Girl," he grins, taking the seat next to me.

"Hi Golden Boy."

"So, what did Captain say?" Rolf asks.

"Wouldn't you like to know, Rolfie?" Hannah teases, causing him to give her a light shove.

"She's definitely disappointed," Cedric sighs. "But proud of us nonetheless."

"Maybe if I was on the team," Rolf says jokingly.

"Okay, Rolf," Justin snorts.

"Your brother," Cedric turns to me. "Is a bloody good Chaser. He wore out all of our Chasers last year, and he did so again this year."

"I'm not telling him you said that," I laugh. "It's only going to inflate his ego."

"You should join Gryffindor's Quidditch team," he says suddenly. "You'd honestly be a brilliant Chaser."

"I can barely ride a broom without crashing," I say. "Let alone throw around a Quaffle while riding it."

"I can see it," he continues, ignoring what I just said. "Y/N, Gryffindor's Chaser."

"Maybe," I shrug. "But definitely not this year."

"Next year?" he grins mischievously.

"Not next year either."

"Are you going to wait until I graduate before you try out?" he says, his tone playful. "I want to see you on the pitch, Clever Girl."

"I think I'll stick to the stands," I smile. "You stay on the pitch."

"I guess I could agree to that," he sighs, acting overly dramatic. "Only if you promise that you'll always be in the stands every time I'm on the pitch."

"I promise."

Updated! Fandoms I’ve been in

Back in 2017, I made a list of fandoms/media obsessions I’ve had but it was in a weird order, because some of the stuff was either just an interest and not a fixation, and some of it was stuff I observed but didn’t take part in.

so here’s an updated version of the list 

Disney/Muppets (2004?)

Disney and the Muppets have always been part of my childhood, my mum would collect ornaments and I visited Disneyland in 2010

Barbie and just dolls in general 

(2003 or 2004, then I became aware of doll fandoms in 2012 or 2013 

around the time Monster high was released) 

Fireman Sam (2005-2017-2022-present)

(I was introduced to the series in series 5, felt nostalgic for it again in 2017, became aware of the tumblr fandom during that time, then it kinda went dormant for a while until August 2022 when I got back into it again and got obsessed)

Hit Entertainment series in general (2005- present)

(while my interest in Sam in particular is what I’m mainly into from that company, I do sometimes post about their other shows, like Bob the Builder)

British Comedy in general (2005-present) 

My first britcom was either Mr Bean or Father Ted, a few black adder clips would be shown in english class and I marathoned Little Britain during my GCSE’s.

The Simpsons (2006-present)

I’ll always love the Simpsons, I suppose it counts as a fandom as I follow a lot of fan artists from that series

Doctor Who (2006-2013)

During the hype of david tennant’s era as the 10th doctor sometimes I would watch this series with my mum so I have some love and nostalgia for it, I wouldn’t know a lot about it though as I was mostly a casual fan

Lazy Town (2006- 2017)

I loved Lazy Town as a kid, I saw the stage show in the grand opera house years ago and I remember the height of the you are number one memes, while I do love it, I wouldn’t say I’m as obsessed with it as before)

Spongebob (2007-2017-present

via some dvds that came with the newspaper and a KFC meal, I was exposed to Spongebob, I’d have a spongebob poster in my wardrdobe and then I learned about the musical at the end of 2017, this is also where I met one of my ex friends, I still love Spongebob

Pokemon (2007)

I was introduced to Pokemon via the Diamond and Pearl season and I spent most of 2014 watching a bit of indigo league and playing Pokemon Y

Mario (2008) 

I would watch mario flash animations on youtube and play games on newgrounds, this is also how I got introduced to deviantart via the artist “nintendrawer”

Tinker bell (2008)

I was occasionally active on the Pixie Hollow virtual world and it was a fun time  .Disney Teen Sitcoms (2008-2015)

I was obsessed with Hannah Montana and a lot of those shows, but then I got older and grew out of them around the time my mid teens started

.Alvin and the chipmunks (2008-present)

I still love the chipmunks, I have an Alvin plush from when I was on holiday in Florida back in 2010 

.Jem and the holograms (2008-present)

I got into Jem via youtube recommendation while watching the Barbie and the rockers movies one day...I was obsessed

I came across some sonic shorts on youtube and saw bits and pieces of Sonic X on tv and online, then I got generations for my 11th birthday and it just escalated from there

 I had a few ponyville toys and I vividly remember the early brony fandom era

I got into emo music through a unique source....angsty sims 2/sims 3 videos

then in my mid teens I got properly into MCR and Panic! at the disco but my main fav band at the time was Simple Plan

I was there when Monster High came out, I got a Frankie doll and a Lagonna doll, I’d browse the old website, I had a monster high blanket and pencil container

I admittedly did have a 1D phase, I don’t have it anymore but I did used to like the boys,

I’d play the sims all day and I’d frequently browse the sims exchange for updates

. Nostalgia Critic/AVGN (2010-present)

Doug walker is how I got into film critique, I have mixed opinions on him nowadays but he’s good meme material and sometimes makes good videos

as for James Rolfe, I have his book in my room, I haven’t read it yet

I’ve always loved Nintendo, but the peek was definitely when I was a preteen getting more into Pokémon and mario, I’d play my nintendo ds very often

Yes, I was a sanrio girly, I had quite a bit of hello kitty merch

I technically got more into Vocaloid in my mid teens, but it was listening to the World is Mine song in 2011 that kickstarted my love for it

Sailor Moon was the series that got me more into anime as an art form, I’ll forever cherish that series

been a fan since the 2003 series, the 2012 series got me more involved in the fandom then I explored the series more last year, watching Rise, the 90s ova and joining a forum message board about tmnt

I got into Kpop via Gangnam Style and some early bratz songs featuring Boa, then I got more into the genre in 2019, dancing to Red Velvet while trying to recover from mental health issues Powerpuff girls (2012-present)

Powerpuff Girls influenced my art style a lot and was another series that got me to browse DeviantArt occasionally

I was lowkey into Sherlock in the beginning because I had a thing for Benedict Cumberbatch (tbf who didn’t at the time) but then I got sick when season 4 was announced but apparently according to some fans, I didn’t miss much 

Star Wars (2015-2018) I know I got into it during the Disney era, but I have seen the original star wars as well, I’m not as into it as I was at the time, maybe once I watch the rest of the classic series then I’ll understand the hype

I watched the first season of the anime and was briefly obsessed

Heathers was amazing and got me more into music theatre but I projected onto the characters too much which was a problem

I briefly downloaded that game and learned all the lore and saw all the memes, but the addictive nature of the game resulted in some of my old google+ friends ignoring me and I didn’t react well to that, I’m mostly over it now though

Gorillaz (2017-present)

I love Gorillaz, I got the now now album when it was released and I get annual messages from Murdoc in my emails, I still love that silly primate band so much, I recall some google+ friend being into it so that’s how I found it and then getting more invested in it in 2018

Supernatural (2016-2017)

I used to occasionally watch supernatural and while I wasn’t in the fandom when the super hell news was announced, I did indeed enjoy the memes

.Monty Python (2017-present)

I love Monty Python, it’s still very funny and I got to perform for Eric Idle once

The Young Ones + Rik Mayall (2017-present)

 I watched King Arthur’s disasters as a kid and then in 2017 I found the young ones via a youtuber I liked and the rest is history

Drag Race (2018-present)

I gave drag race a chance in summer 2018 and I loved it, it also encouraged me to get into drag myself, I’ve met 3 of the UK queens and it’s just amazing

Left tube (2018-present)

I also was introduced to Contrapoint’s videos during that time and she definitely radicalized me into the leftist I am today (well her and Rik technically)

Rocky Horror (2018-present)

I watched the sequel first (Shock Treatment) because Rik Mayall was in it and I saw the stage version in 2019 (gonna see it again later this August),

Queen (2018-present)

I was deep into the Queen fandom in 2018 and while I don’t listen to them as much as before, I still appreciate their place in music history 

Good Omens  (2019-present)

I fell immediately in love with this mini series and it’s book, it’s so gay

Beetlejuice   (2019-present)

I then got obsessed with the Beetlejuice musical

Dead Or Alive (2019-present)

Dead Or Alive is my favourite 80s band, I met some my current pals back in 2019 via that fandom, good times have been had

Evangelion (2021-present)

I started the series in 2015 but resumed it in 2021, it has psychologically changed me in the same way that rik’s filmography has, I’ve met a few friends via the fandom for this series

Persona (2021-present)

I watched the Persona 4 anime in it’s entirety in 2021, it has also changed me, and so has Persona 5 

(Futaba was the autism representation that I needed as a teenager)

Evil Dead (2022-present)

I got into this film franchise mostly via my friend @leakyrectum, and I’m happy I did, it’s made me appreciate Horror as a genre a lot more, as well as the icon that is Bruce Campbell.

Lupin the third (2023-present)

I just started Lupin part 2 a few months ago and I already adore it, I can’t wait to watch the rest and what I’ve seen of the Lupin fandom is very fun, welcoming and gay

my feelings on ships in hp are that hinny is absolutely canon but linny are also fucking but huna just vibe together in this weird subspace between friendship and romance (i'm sort of hesitant to call it qpr but that's absolutely what it could be) and hinny and neville had adventures separately and together and luna is also married to her wife rolf and hannah and neville are absolutely a thing and rolf and hannah bond over not understanding this mess and accidentally start dating and realize Oh No... Okay but hear me out.

This is why Ron and Hermione would not have worked out either. Or, in my opinion, Harry and Ginny. Because just as Evanna pointed out about Neville and Luna, Ron and Hermione and Harry and Ginny were relationships of war. (Harry and Ginny to a lesser extent, but I digress).

I tend to ship Hermione with a reformed and repentant Draco (okay that's a bit of an understatement, Dramione is my otp). But this is why I just cannot accept Ron and Hermione. Like at all. I can see Hermione with literally anyone else, as I said in a previous post, she's ship-able; Draco, Neville, Harry, George, Pansy. Just not Ron.

And as for Harry... He needs some time to just be. Maybe I see him getting on with Luna or Hermione, the only people who never identified him as the boy who lived. Or I could see him falling for Draco. But him and Ginny... Nah.

Any relationships established during the series were teen romances to begin with, but they were products of war, when nobody knew if they would live to see tomorrow. Survival and love are funny like that

Information central for the Chudley Canon Fest! If your question has not been answered, please send an ask and we'll respond!

1. What is the Chudley Canon Fest?

This is a fanfic/fanart fest that focuses on canon pairings and friendships from the Harry Potter franchise (including Fantastic Beasts, Hogwarts: A Mystery and Cursed Child).

2. What are the rules?

The fanwork must be a fanfic or fanart

The fanwork must be focused on canon pairings (romantic or platonic) only.

Fics must be one-shots and have a minimum of 750 words; there is no maximum word limit.

Works must be complete upon submission.

Please do not use previously posted works - all content must be new and original.

3. When will the fest take place?

Prompts will be revealed on May 1st. Any interested writers and artists will have from May 1st-July 31st to create their work(s) and submit here. We will begin posting works on July 31st, 2022.

4. What are the themes/prompts?

The themes / prompts for the 2022 fest will be released in this spring!

5. Do I have to claim a theme or prompts?

No! Anyone can use any theme. Every writer and artist is unique, and we know that every story will be just as original as the person who created it :)

6. Can I write an AU story (For example: an all-boys or girls school, or a Muggle AU)?

Yes, as long as the resulting pairing/friendship is canon and fits the theme.

7. Can I gender-bend the characters?

Yes! We are open to any orientation and/or gender as long as the pairings align with canon (ex. Fem!Jily, VeRONica Weasley/Hermione [or Herman] Granger)

8. Can I create multiple works?

Yes! 

9. Where can I submit my finished product?

Please use the 'submit your entry' option on this page. We will be collecting submissions this way. We will be disabling anonymous submissions so that all of you wonderful writers and artists get credit for your work!

Posting of submissions will begin on July 31st, and we will post a certain number per day, depending on how many entries we have.

10. Can I submit my finished product anywhere else?

We have an AO3 collection set up here. If you would like to post ahead of the August reveals, you are more than welcome to post here - all submissions to the AO3 collection will be ANONYMOUS until submissions are posted here on Tumblr.

Once your submission has been posted on Tumblr, you are more than welcome to post anywhere else!

My opinions/ratings on Harry Potter ships:

Canon ships:

Hinny: They are literally my biggest otp for life I fucking love them both so much I’ll die for them. {10/10}

Romione: They are my parents. That’s it.

{10/10}

Marthur: I just love them so much and they are my comfort couple, they are freaking amazing and deserve more recognition. {10/10}

Remadora: I just love them both so much they are super cute and they didn’t deserve to die. They should have been able to raise my baby teddy. {10/10}

Bleur: they are really underrated and Fleur got so much hate for no reason, she is honestly very pretty and bill is very happy with her. {9/10}

Neville/Hannah: we don’t know so much about this couple but I love Neville so much and since Hannah is a hufflepuff I gotta love her. But they seem cute.{7/10}

Luna/Rolf: I like Rolf grandfather newt so that’s a point right there. But they seem cute and fit each other. {7/10}

George/Angelina: the queen Angelina got with both twins so I gotta give her a point for that. But they seem alright with me. {3/10}

Drastoria: the only Draco ship I’ll accept because it made sense and they seem cute and Draco truly did love her and was sad because of her death. I also liked that they got together after hogwarts so that gave it time for Draco to change and everything. {8/10}

Jily: some fans just overhyped them too much and I thought I would love them but I don’t, I’m okay with them. It just not my kind of relationship that I will love.But points for sacrificing their lives for harry and they didn’t deserve to die.{4/10}

( I swear if I get attacked about jily I’m done.)

Lucious/Narcissa: they seem cute and they do love each other but I’m okay with them. {3/10}

Percy/Audrey: I honestly thought he would have married Penelope but I guess not. But they seem cute and alright. {2/10}

Alice/Frank: they honestly deserved so much better they suffered a fate worse then death and didn’t even know Neville was their son. But unfortunately we don’t know much about them so. {4/10}

Non-canon ships:

Dramione: I loathe it. {0/10}

Deamus: should have been canon and the only non-canon ship I want as canon.{10/10}

Harmione: never saw it more than a friendship and brother/sister relationship. {0/10}

Drarry: this is basically Dramione but with Harry. So no. {0/10}

Smily: as a big Severus snape fan. This is a big no from me. I just saw them as friends, I never wanted them to be a couple. {0/10}

Hedric: Cedric was Harry’s bisexual awakening.not Draco. {8/10}

Wolfstar: I see why people ship this but I just don’t and I feel like it won’t work out. But they are great friends. (point for just Remus). {1/10}

Severus/lupin: y’all just want a enemies to lovers ship and I can see why people went with these two. But I only see Remus with Tonks and tonks only. {0/10}

Severus/Regulus:this is actually my guilty pleasure ship but idk if it will work out because since regulus is related to Sirius. {4/10}

Severus/James: no just no this is some Drarry shit so hell no. {0/10}

Bellatrix/Voldemort: I know that they had a kid and everything but no it would have just been a one sided relationship. Mainly from bellatrix. For some reason it reminds me of Harley Quinn and the joker but at the same time no. {0/10}

Percy/Oliver: this is another guilty pleasure ship of mine idk I just really like it. {8/10}

Any pedophile or other weird ships are a big {0/10}.

I just know I’m going to be attacked but fuck it.

Golden trio era rarepairs are just the best!!!!!! There are just so many dynamics you can explore, so many aus you can create, so many stories just waiting to be written... I just love rarepairs, okay?

Perciver - Percy x Oliver - Best friends to lovers! Nerd x jock! They were roommates!!!!! There’s just so much potential here!!! This definitely isn’t the rarest of pairings on this list but it’s one of my favorites to write so I had to include it!!!

Fredlee - Fred x Lee - More best friends to lovers!!! Quidditch player x quidditch commentator!!! Another roomates cliche!!! So adorable!!! Also so much potential for fluff and angst! 

Spinnell - Alicia x Katie - WLW quidditch teammates! Background ship that could easily fit into canon! They would be so fricking cute and if anybody tried to harm them, you know the rest of the quidditch team would be ready to kick some ass.

Georville - George x Neville - George goes back to Hogwarts after the war, either to try and recover from Fred’s death or, if Fred doesn’t die in your fic, simply to get his N.E.W.T.S., maybe to get more potions and herbology studying in for new products? And he connects with Neville and maybe they both love herbology and spend way too much time in the greenhouses. 

Lunmione - Hermione x Luna - Idk, the believer x sceptic trope just gets me. They keep teaching each other things and there is so much to learn and they spend so much time together that one they just realize that maybe they like each other.

Thomley - Ron x Dean - Artsy boyfriends! Quidditch fan x quidditch player!1 They were roommates!!! Friends to lovers!!!! So many tropes, and yet so little content for this ship.

Rarry - Ron x Harry - BEST FRIENDS TO LOVERS!!!!!! They were roommates!! So much canon evidence in support of them and yet people still deny the very possibility that they could be in love? NO. I will fight for this ship forever.

Runa - Ron x Luna - Childhood friends turned lovers! Artsy significant others!! Quidditch commentator/fan x quidditch player!!! Yeah, their friendship is kinda shaky in canon but they would be so cute together!!!!

Nevannah - Neville x Hannah - This is canon and so underappreciated! Healer! Hannah and Herbology Lover! Neville could rock the medicial wizardry world (especially if you like polyam ships and add in Potions Master! Theo)! This is a power couple if I have ever seen one, they deserve all the love!

Heamus - Harry x Seamus - So, the most common storyline I’ve seen for these two is that they date in 6th year while Dean and Ginny are dating, first to make those two jealous and then they actually fall for each other. Also, they were roommates.

Huna - Harry x Luna - These two are such good friends, and yes they are a total Brotp, but also, it would be so easy for them to like each other? They’ve both had pretty traumatic lives but they feel safe/not alone when they’re around each other and they’re so supportive and ugh they’re so cute.

Pavender - Parvati x Lavender - Best friends to lovers, they were roommates, Gryffindor girlfriends!!! Parvati taking care of Lavender after the war because of what happened with Greyback. 

Sunnah - Susan x Hannah - Best friendss to lovers, they were roommates, Hufflepuff girlfriends!!! They lean on each other after their respective family members die and move in together after the war bc they're all each other has (at least, they think that). 

Dansy - Daphne x Pansy - Best friends to lovers, they were roommates, Slytherin girlfriends!!! Who knows how long they could have been together? And when Astoria dies, they fall apart but they have each other and their family.

Lovemander - Luna x Rolf - Perfect queerplatonic relationship! They both love magical creatures and could meet while tracking/studying the same creature! Would both be Ravenclaws but I like to believe that Rolf went to Beauxtabons. Adorable.

The Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee | Chapter 8: Small Victories

“Pukwudgie arrows!” Hermione ran to where a cluster of them were immobilized mid-air. “Careful, they’re poison-tipped!”

Ron cast a diagnostic spell and swept it about the area. “From Luna’s wand, alright. Some of the other spells must come from Rolf’s.”

“Tracks lead away from the river,” said Harry, who had to cast Lumos to see properly under the thick canopy. 

“Pukwudgies can apparate,” Hermione warned them, “so be on your guard.”

“Smoke up ahead,” Ron murmured, taking longer strides than the other two could manage. As he caught sight of the camp, he crouched and signaled the others to do so as well. 

The campsite was surrounded by a low fence of animal bones and the Pukwudgie tents were made of silver fur that seemed to shimmer and blend with the surrounding forest, you almost didn’t know if you were seeing an illusion or something that was truly there. 

“They’re going to burn them!” Harry exclaimed softly, watching as four Pukwudgies lowered Luna and Rolf over a raging bonfire.

“Relax,” said Hermione, “people have been trying to burn wizards and witches at stakes for years. It doesn’t work.”

“But when they find out it doesn’t work…” Ron’s face contorted into a look of worry. “They’ve got their poison.”

“Our portkey expires and will take us back in half an hour,” said Harry, “but we don’t have that long. Hermione -”

“I can shorten our time,” she nodded confidently, pointing her wand at the horseshoe, “How long do you want?”

“Thirty seconds?” 

Hermione waved her wand and the portkey began to glow brighter and brighter. 

“One of the lookouts is heading this way!” Ron hissed, “I think they see the light!”

“Just say when,” Hermione looked to Harry, who was glancing quickly between the Pukwudgie guards at the fence and the ones surrounding the priestess standing in front of the magizoologist barbeque.

“When!” Harry called, darting forward and stunning three guards.
