It is not strictly true that Scotchmen are mean in money matters, any more than it is to say that they can't see a joke. As regards the latter point, it is my experience that a Scot won't laugh at the average jest that amuses an Englishman, simply because it isn't good enough.

Milestone Monday
Poetry in Punk
On this day, December 30th, 1946, Patti Smith, a singer, songwriter, author, poet, photographer, and painter, was born in Chicago, Illinois. Often referred to as the "Godmother of Punk," Smith is known for her influential music that blends rock and poetry. Her debut album, Horses, released in 1975, is considered a landmark work in the punk rock genre. Beyond her music career, Patti Smith has written several books, including the acclaimed memoir Just Kids, which explores her relationship with photographer Robert Mapplethorpe and their experiences within the New York City artistic scene. Throughout her life, she has been a prominent cultural figure, advocating for artistic freedom and social change.
Images featured come from:
Our first edition of A Useless Death, a poem by Patti Smith that was published as a chapbook and distributed by Gotham Book Mart and Gallery in New York in 1972.

When you think about Marshall's sniper support mechanic in like the context of Lincoln’s whole plot, it's really funny to think that he's just following Lincoln around. Like somehow, Marshall knows every good spot in the city to sit and wait for Lincoln to use him. I feel bad for poor Lincoln having to know that Marshall is following him around, given that he just does not like that guy LOL it's genuinely so odd.
Did you know that when you're trying to take out Aldridge in the last shootout, you can use Marshall? Like they also reintroduce his sniper support on the island. I've always said that Marshall technically should be there and I guess he is lol the devs just think he's sooo unimportant that they didn't even have to mention him LOL anyways I don't know why I find it so amusing. But I do. I love using Marshall when I play lmao
Just know when I finally play Stones Unturned, Aldridge is being taken out by Marshall😤 I think it is absolutely hilarious that Marshall could be the one out of John and Lincoln to get that final shot in so Aldridge retreats to the submarine LOL talk about unsatisfying end for them. Like I know John gets the last shot in, but ya know what I mean!

I watched Mickey 17 yesterday, and I can not stop thinking about the sauce.
Because, when you are restricting calories, the pasta sauces and salad dressings are like one of the first things that you should cut from your diet.
Restricting calories is one things whole Niflheim colony is supposed to do.
Of course, we already see Kenneth Marshall and Ylfa being hypocrites and typical politicans and having a feast for themselves while people under their rules are having controlled portions.
So... why is the sauce repeatedly mentioned?
Why is Ylfa obssessed with making different kind of sauces and perfecting them?
Then it hit me with her using the baby creeper's tail to make a sauce.
When Marshall wanted to exterminate all creepers I was like yeah, this is a clear reference to Christopher Columbus and the indigeneous people.
But using the creepers' body parts, their tails, their life sources to make something as "rich" as sauce.
I think it was a direct reference to Britain colonisation of India for spices and colonisation of Africa for their natural sources.
Colonizing, taking what belongs to the natives of the land to make rich man's sauce.

Every Marshall mannerism is Trump codes but ESPECIALLY the scenes when he’s doing his own tv show while 18 is shouting at 17 about the dinner I can totally see Trump doing every single one of those things
Edit: and the tantrum he throws on the table while people are failing to catch Zuco
