Hello everyone! Here I am, one more day, and I want to share something with you. After seeing a super cozy picture last Thursday, I made a commitment to truly enjoy every moment of my weekend. Whether I was sleeping, reading, or just relaxing, I wanted to feel like I really rested without that nagging feeling of procrastination.
Saturday was a vibe ✨ — I watched Only Murders in the Building because, duh, I’m a Disney Channel girly and had to see Selena Gomez again 😎. I also cleaned my room and my desk, which felt super refreshing. On Sunday (today), I painted, had a little self-care session, and video-called my bestie from Barcelona 💖.
Resting is super important—having a few moments for yourself is essential for both your soul and mind. It’s like hitting the reset button so you can tackle the next week and your studies with more enthusiasm and energy. ✨
Remember to stay hydrated, friends! 💧

Healing is the New Hustling: Prioritizing Wellness in a Culture of Constant Motion Shaina Tranquilino May 17, 2024
In a world that glorifies hustle culture and champions productivity above all else, the concept of healing often takes a backseat. We're bombarded with messages urging us to grind harder, hustle faster, and strive for more. But amidst the relentless pursuit of success, we often neglect an essential aspect of our well-being: the need to heal.
Healing is not just about recovering from physical ailments; it encompasses mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being as well. It's about addressing the wounds that go beyond the surface level and nurturing ourselves back to wholeness. In a society where burnout and stress-related illnesses are rampant, prioritizing healing is more crucial than ever before.
The traditional notion of "hustling" implies pushing ourselves to the limit, often at the expense of our health and happiness. It's a mindset rooted in the belief that success requires constant motion and relentless effort. However, this mindset can lead to exhaustion, anxiety, and a sense of emptiness, ultimately undermining our long-term well-being.
But what if we shifted our focus from hustling to healing? What if, instead of glorifying busyness, we celebrated self-care and introspection? This shift in perspective is not about being lazy or complacent; it's about recognizing that true success and fulfillment stem from a place of wholeness and balance.
Healing is not a passive process; it requires conscious effort and commitment. It involves setting boundaries, practicing self-compassion, and prioritizing activities that nourish our mind, body, and soul. Whether it's through meditation, therapy, journaling, or spending time in nature, healing looks different for everyone. What matters is that we make space for it in our lives and honour its importance.
In a culture that often equates worth with productivity, embracing healing can feel countercultural. It requires us to challenge the narrative that our value is contingent upon how much we accomplish. Instead, it invites us to redefine success on our own terms—one that encompasses not just external achievements, but also inner peace and contentment.
Moreover, prioritizing healing isn't just beneficial on an individual level; it also has broader societal implications. When we take the time to heal and prioritize our well-being, we become more resilient, compassionate, and empathetic individuals. We're better equipped to show up for ourselves and others, fostering stronger relationships and communities in the process.
So, how can we integrate healing into our lives in a meaningful way? It starts by acknowledging that it's okay to slow down and prioritize self-care. It means listening to our bodies and minds, and honouring their needs without judgment or guilt. It involves creating space for rest, reflection, and rejuvenation amidst life's demands.
In essence, healing is the new hustling because it recognizes that our worth isn't determined by how much we do, but by how well we take care of ourselves and others. It's about embracing our humanity in a world that often demands superhuman feats. By prioritizing healing, we not only reclaim our well-being but also pave the way for a more compassionate and sustainable future.

“We have this Supreme Master inside, and we have to know It, and that is the only thing to do. If we only work and work and have no rest, of course, then we become more restless and we become less efficient in our work, because we get fed up, bored with one-sided life. But if we work and rest at the same time, like most of our fellow practitioners do, of course we will be happier. Because two or three hours of meditation are equal to many months of rest. In that time of communion with God or that Supreme Master Power, which is our original Self, we recharge all the energy that has been lost during the daytime.” 💖🙏

The True Value of Sleep: What This Week Taught Me
This week has been a rollercoaster—seriously eye-opening. After battling a nasty cold for the past two weeks, just when I thought I was recovering, it hit me full force again on Wednesday. Now, as I finally feel like I'm crossing the finish line today, one thing really dawned on me: the true importance of sleep.
Now, let me tell you, I’m a morning person through and through. I usually wake up at 6 a.m., dive into my morning routine, and feel productive. But lately, it felt like I was just going through the motions, like my body and mind weren’t really benefitting from my rituals anymore. I was running on autopilot.
Then, yesterday (Thursday), I did something I hadn’t done in a long time—I ignored my alarm and let myself sleep in. Instead of beating myself up about it, I spoke kindly to myself: “It’s okay. Today, let’s get that extra rest. Everything will still get done, just a little later.”
And wow, the difference! I woke up feeling aligned—like I wasn’t just reacting to life, but actually able to respond thoughtfully. My cup felt full again, and I had the emotional bandwidth to be present for others, without feeling drained or the need to "fix" anything.
Did you know? Sleep is when our brains flush out toxins and process emotions, which is why we feel so much more balanced and clear-headed after a good night's rest.
Honestly, I never realized just how much sleep helps you realign, recharge, and find balance. It’s more than just rest—it’s a reset button. If you’re feeling off, maybe it’s not about productivity or routine. Maybe it’s time to just let yourself rest.
When was the last time you allowed yourself to truly sleep in?

Practice 'Il Dolce Far niente' - the sweetness of doing nothing.
We are often caught up in the never-ending cycle of work, social obligations, and digital distractions. There is always a constant urge to be productive at all times, constantly ticking off tasks from our to-do lists. Even during their vacations, people find it hard to disconnect from work and technology, constantly checking emails and messages. Many people are so focused on capturing and…
