It's funny to me how people will go, "yeah, I can tell if someone's faking DID."
That's called stereotyping, and in almost every other context, it's a shitty thing to do. But here, it's fine. Trust me, bro, it's OK this time.
Don't try to guess at someone's mental health because that's rude, and you're probably wrong anyway.

if you were the writer of the show what type of bigotry in the Owl House show would you include so it would make the inhabitants have flaws without Belos’s influence?
WRONG! bops you on the head
If you make fictional bigotry in your story, you should not then make that bigotry TRUE. It's actually a part of the problem with Belos' death. By making it so that he claims "We as humans are better than these people because we wouldn't let someone die mercilessly like this," only to then have the characters literally go, "Well we aren't," then you justify the bigot. He is not a bigot... He's just correct. They are as awful, cruel and evil as he believes.
Star Rail had this problem in 2.0 where they had a character theoretically be treated with prejudice for his race. However, someone states what that means and 3/5 matched dead on for how he behaved. The one most targeted at him was in fact 100% correct for that patch. As such, it's hard to call that racist instead of an objectively correct judge of character.
And, in case it isn't VERY clear: That is really fucking awful to do as a writer. Even if these are fictional prejudices, it still is like writing a real world stereotype to its stereotype and nothing else. It makes something that is fundamentally irrational and cruel, logical and justified. That's not the message you should be sending to put it mildly.
This is one of the rough elements of including bigotry in a story. You have to be smart enough to first pinpoint why people were bigoted in the first place as most hate groups have an agenda. Manifest Destiny was an excuse for expansion and cruelty, claiming that God preordained their right to this place and so the people who were already there were trespassers and beneath them for they were not blessed by God. The main purpose though was to have some sort of excuse to get what they want. Then you need to show how this is codified into the dominant society. What do people think are the stereotypes that justify their hate? Then you need to turn that back around to show how those people are not what is being claimed and the blunt fact that these lies are spread mostly for personal gain or comfort.
Belos' hate for wild witches is just... They're evil. They are godless heathens who care not for others suffering. Yes, eventually they try to claim he's doing this for glory but it's flimsy when he's ready to die to reach this goal. Can't get glory when you died in another realm, can you? Worse yet, S1 of TOH just makes this belief fact for the majority of the Isles. Remember episode two with "I WANT TO WEAR YOUR SKIN"? It's why they have to retcon the Isles to having been a paradise before Belos arrived or else he's just correct. They have to claim everyone is a greedy asshole because of him or else from go, the show is on his side.
Now we could go into his prejudice against wild witches but... That doesn't actually exist. He doesn't believe in it and seemingly no one else does either. Hunter doesn't, Bump doesn't, Lilith barely cares about it and more in a way that makes the difference be between industry and freelance work, etc. etc. In fact, it's not prejudice in the Isles: It's just law. Eda is factually breaking the law and that's how everyone treats it. As a bounty to be collected. Not someone who is objectively, abhorrently wrong in the eyes of their society because of this fact about themselves. A fact mind you that Eda chose which actually isn't normal for bigotry. Most that critique go with something that is who the person is by birth, whether that be transgender, gay, a certain race, etc. like that. The closest is discrimination through religion which is not really the vibe this gives because no one actually cares about the religion of the Titan either. It's at BEST a representation of Jim Crow laws but like... It also applied to literally every single living being on the Isles at one point because this show is really bad at this angle.
For the wild witch prejudice to actually function, people would need to think wild witches eat babies, steal your magic, burn down towns, etc. like that. Eda should send people screaming... And so should Luz. Which is why this isn't the case. See, Eda being Momma Eda would have been a great critique of how people saw her. How this one choice made them assume things that were inherently wrong. That's how you do critique of bigotry. But at the same time, that means Luz would have had to fight for acceptance. Fight to clear her name. She couldn't have gone to a magic school in episode because quite literally everyone on the Isles should hate her desire for magic because she inherently can't be a part of the coven system so her dream is to be a wild witch.
The show NEVER deals with complications like that though. That's why Eda is the only wild witch. That's why no one cares about her being a wild witch. It's why in the same episode that Bump is trying to apply for funding from the Emperor's Coven, he has Luz, APPRENTICE TO EDA THE OWL LADY, at his school as a regular student. I can't imagine how that would cause a problem. -_-
Which yes, making the Isles fearful and hateful about the limitless self expression of being a wild witch would make them flawed. Would make them follow a false belief as part of the grand scheme of a bigot. It's almost like the people at the top spread their false beliefs in order to gain power and control the masses. It is actually a good idea for it to have been Belos' influence that caused this hate it's just not actually there in the show, regardless of what anyone else tries to say.
And if you want an example of all of this done right? Zecora. From My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I'm not even kidding. In her introductory episode, we are shown that because she is different, a zebra who lives in the woods, EVERYONE in Ponyville is terrified of her. Then when something goes wrong, it assumed to be her fault. However, the Poison Joke actually being told is that they all made fools of themselves while being hateful. That if they had just listened to her, extended trust to her, there would have been no problem because their prejudices were inherently irrational and wrong.
In 22 minutes, My Little Pony addresses bigotry better, more comprehensively and more meaningfully than TOH does in THREE SEASONS. But... I guess only one has gained the reputation for being deep and thoughtful so we should just assume it did it better, right?
Sorry but I prefer to focus on reality than the biased perception that fits my narrative. See you next tale.

AITA FOR KISSING MY ROOMMATE GOODNIGHT?
(everyone is in their 20s. names are fake)
I’d like to start off by giving background, I(M) live with my roommate Salt. We’ve been living together for a couple of years now and met through mutual friends.
I’m straight. Salt is gay in a very open, stereotypical sense(yk flamboyant, effeminate etc) and Im not saying this to judge him/say I resent him or something he’s a dear friend of mine and I couldn’t care less abt his sexuality or how he chooses to express himself. However it’s important to mention this for the sake of AITA
The actual ‘issue’ started a year ago, where we were both drunk coming home from a party, I was struggling to get my keys out so he called me a idiot and then just.. kissed me??
That caused me to question my sexuality for a while because being a straight man you’d think I’d be repulsed or bothered by it but no I didn’t really enjoy it(not like there was smth to enjoy it was like a couple of seconds) but didn’t really mind it either in fact it didn’t made me feel any different than how I’d feel kissing a random girl I suppose?
So yeah I experimented with my sexuality for a week or so and even almost hooked up with some guy but nope. Still straight. Just didn’t mind him(probably because of how close we are)
Anyways back to the point after that Salt avoided me for a while but in the end we did have a talk which was basically him saying he was not attracted to me, how it was a spur of the moment thing and also apologizing if he made me uncomfortable.
To that I told him he did not and joked about how he could do it again.
Fast forward a month(?) later the “kissing the homies goodnight” meme came out, so one time I asked him where was my goodnight kiss was at and he actually did it, after that we just continued doing that ig I don’t think none of us thought much of it other than some night time ritual.
Here comes the actual AITA part, I recently got a girlfriend(we’ll call her Pepper). I’ts not like I’m super in love with her but she’s a nice girl and I genuinely like her so I wish to keep her happy.
The issue with Pepper is that she talks a tad bit too much, I normally wouldn’t mind it as I’m on the quiet part, but she expects me to memorize everything she has told me(not in the “do you remember my friend” type of way in the she tells me about 10 different people and gets upset when I don’t remember their exes names or what did friend7 did on lunch a month ago type of way) she also has a tendency to hyperfixate on shows and talk about the plot & characters as if they’re actual real people which makes it hard for me to understand if something she says is about a show or real. She gets really upset if I forget even the smallest things about those stories and rants about how I never listen to her. I tried talking to her about this but it only ends with her crying so I just keep shut to keep her satisfied
A week ago I was having a really bad day of migraines and nothing seemed to help but me and Pepper had made plans to hang in my place and I didn’t want to cancel. She comes over and starts talking about her sister in life’s brunch. I ask her if she could slow down a bit cause my head hurts and I can’t really keep up.
Well she takes it the wrong way and starts yelling at me about how I always am like this and how I never listen to her. I admit I’m the asshole for saying this, but I ask her if she’s unable to sit down and have a conversation like an adult. This makes her calm down a bit and she sits down so we can discuss.
I try explaining to her how it’s unfair how she expects me to remember everything and I’d be more than happy to listen to her, maybe just slow down a bit?
In mid of it she has this weird smile on her face and tells me I look hot mad, she then leans over to kiss me which I pull away from because it feels like she’s just trying to change a topic and I think this is an important convo for our relationship.
This is the moment Salt decides to arrive at home(I should also mention he’s TERRIBLE at reading the room) he comes over gives me my goodnight kiss and leaves.
(I would like to add its not like we make out or something. He just gives me a peck on the lips, says goodnight and leaves)
This drives Pepper crazy. She starts shouting at me on how I’d not kiss her but him? And that I could go ride his dick if I’m that gay for him. She storms out of the apartment
I’d like to add that Pepper has never said anything about me and Salt. I never told her about the goodnight kiss(Because I mean who goes to their girlfriend like “hey btw I kiss my roommate at nights. but no homo”?) but we never hide it either in fact I’m pretty sure we did that while she was in room once or twice too. Pepper has made jokes about us being gay and how she feels bad about getting inbetween us but never anything on being uncomfortable or not liking it.
Now it’s been a week and we haven’t talked since. She is not answering my messages and I stopped trying to contact her from there but I’m starting to doubt myself, am I the asshole here? Should I go apologize?
What are these acronyms?

Round 2
Propaganda why Dr. Gregory House is insufferable:
"Choses to make the people around him and himself miserable.
Makes patients take treatments or tests without their knowledge, and does the same to his employees
Doesn't believe in asexuality
Gave a deaf patient a hearing implant without their consent
Started to call a woman a "he" once he realized she was intersexual
Always makes sexual remarks to his female boss
Lowkey racist
Didn't want to give his condolences to his best friend after his girlfriend died accompanying a drunk House to his... house
More stuff I can't remember right now but I hate hate hate hate him"
"The whole point of the show is that this guy sucks as a person, knows it, is proud of it, and works to keep it that way. But he’s extremely competent. There is a reason fans call this show “Malpractice Hospital” and it’s this guy. Literally."
"Transphobic, intersexist, aphobic, etc. And I'm not entirely sure how to explain this but, while he is racist/homophobic/sexist, it's in a Liberal kind of way? Like I have a feeling the writers dont want you to think he's actually racist or homophobic because That's Bad, "he just makes those kinds of comments because he's edgy!!!" or whatever excuse people come up with. For a show that hates religion, they show more respect towards christianity than they do the "Trannies" or Asexuals they make fun of. Don't even get me started on his interpersonal skills."
"Self-centered, sometimes misogynistic, low-key racist sometimes, gives his patience treatment without their concent or knowledge, started to called a woman "he" after realizing she was intersex, doesn't believe in asexuality, crashed a car into his ex's house."
"the "he needs mouse bites to live" gif kinda sums it up. He's like Sherlock Holmes if he worked as doctor and prescribed nonsensical solutions to illnesses that always work. He also doesn't explain himself and bitches to his coworkers instead. Also an asshole in general."
Propaganda why Rachel Berry is insufferable:
"Literally the annoying theatre girl stereotype cranked up to the MAX. She's got that "takes everything too seriously, stick up her ass" thing that soooo many theatre kids have bit she's not just annoying she's a terrible person. She felt so threatened by a girl who wanted to join Glee being better than her that she sent her to a CRACK HOUSE for "auditions." She's like lowkey homophonic, transphobic, and racist too. "
"omg she acts so entitled and always gets what she wants even if others get put down and she NEVER PAYS FOR IT"
"Watched two episodes of glee. Two were enough. Everyone else was a bastard in at least a somewhat entertaining way but she singlehandedly ruined everything. If she went to my high school I'd probably bully her too and then she'd whine and throw a karen fit about how I'm literally just better than her. At least I don't need autotune lol."
"She constantly does weird and villainous stuff such as; sent someone to a crackhouse, accused a teacher of molestation coz she didn’t get a part in a musical, dropped out of glee club when she didn’t get a part, a black character (mercedes) asked if glee club could sing more songs by black artists and rachel said « it’s glee club, not krunk club », tried to hook up with a gay man who she also knew her best friend liked, cheated on finn with his best friend, also her bangs post s3 are a crime.
Despite all this she always acts like she’s hard done by and the victim, barely ever apologises or takes accountability for hurting people, and is treated like a sympathetic main character by the show. Not only is she insufferable, she’s a malicious manipulator glorified by the narrative"

VtM Fangfest 2024 Prompt 9: Strength
Hello! Here is my ninth fic for Fangfest 2024 :) I am fallin' behind but still writing!!!
All my fics will be about characters that are previously established, so you might not have context for everything mentioned or hinted at within :( Feel free to reach out to ask I love explaining!
I've never really posted my writing before so be kind!
my first fic is here
my second fic is here
my third fic is here
my fourth fic is here
my fifth fic is here
my sixth fic is here
my seventh fic is here
my eighth fic is here
This fic is about Eden! Eden was a character i made for a game that unfortunately died after session one. She uses she/him pronouns (mostly she, but likes he as well) anddddd god i love her so much. He was a firefighter in life. She's a lasombra embraced into the Camarilla after they defected. He's a known corpse <3 he eats people who won't be missed <3 She has SELF ESTEEEEEM ISSUESSSS and she is super gay. Yeah.
EDIT: ALSO SHOUT OUT TO @dykeferatu AS THEIR OC PEYTON IS IN HERE FOR A BIT :D they were gonna be a player with me
I wanted this piece to be longer but wanted to post it... so maybe i'll continue this later!
Eden still liked the crunch of her boots on the snow, even if the icy feel of wind on her face wasn’t as sharp now, since she was cold too. He missed how the cold made everything come into focus, though to be fair, his senses were far stronger now than they ever had been when he was alive. That she liked.
What she did not like was having to report to her fucking sire, Dante.
Up the stairs to the his porch. She hated how this old wooden building looked like a stereotypical vampire mansion. She hated how she was hand delivered letters like it was the goddamn 18th century. She hated Dante, ordering her around like she was a child.
But most of all, she hated herself for just going along with it.
It wasn’t time to think about that though. Bang on the door, yell “I’m here,” wait for his ghoul to open up.
And there he was, the sniveling pathetic man. “Good evening, Miss Cheng.” God, could he be any more stereotypical, always insisting on ‘miss.’
“I’m here, so it could be better.”
His lip curled, shifting his graying mustache. “Certainly. Come in, Master Dante is ready.”
Eden was already walking in the door.
Dante’s haven had shockingly modern furniture for his age; probably because he was feral in the woods with the Sabbat less than a decade ago, and only recently joined society. Eden’s lips curled in distaste upon passing the foyer; he had bought more wine that he did not drink. What a joke. She made a note to ask him sometime if he even remembered what alcohol tasted like.
Eden made a point to stomp wet snow and mud on the rug specifically on the way to his office. The door was open, and she swung it open without a second thought.
“Sup.”
“No knock today?” Dante gave his standard asshole grin and ran his hand through his hair as he replied. “Sit down.”
Eden did as he was told, and said nothing. He hoped that Dante didn’t know what ‘sup’ meant and was just refusing to ask.
Wait, oh my god. Was that another skull on his desk.
“Is that another skull?”
“How observant, Miss Cheng. Yes, it is.”
Eden almost spat on his desk at that; he hated being called miss. Second time tonight. However, he had previously told her not to spit in his office. She gave him a tight smile instead as he continued.
Dante picked up the skull and looked at it, holding it just above eye level, as if he was in a goddamn theater. “This fellow is actually what I am here to talk to you about tonight. Can you feel it, Eden?”
Eden sucked in her breath, stalling as he tried to come up with a witty reply. Failing that, she just said “no.”
Dante’s grin never faltered. “Not surprised, you are certainly not a natural.” Bastard. “Look at this skull. Deep into its eyes. It’s a surprisingly strong fetter, even you should be able to discern this. Take it.”
Eden took it, though she felt absolutely nothing.
“You shall show this to Peyton, and request their sire take a look at it.”
Peyton’s mysterious sire. Dante was always asking about her, in a roundabout way, though Eden had no idea why he was so fixated on her. “And what’s in it for you?”
“Promise them more where that came from if they teach you how to feast upon its energies. Do not show Anisha until Peyton promises you something, even if they cannot commit to fully teaching you.”
“What.”
“What is the confusion?”
“You want me to ask them to teach me to feed off of energy? Huh? Isn’t our whole deal that we eat blood and only blood?”
“Eden, you sound like a fool.”
“No, you do, what the hell dude. Vampire 101”
“I’ve told you not to curse. It’s disrespectful. Now, do as I said”
Eden stood up abruptly, and stalked off without a word. She almost punched the ghoul when he tried to get the door for her.
“Miss Cheng, you may want a bag for the, erm, skull.”
“Don’t fucking call me that.” He stuffed the skull under his armpit, mostly hiding it, and headed out.
Time to text Peyton, or whatever. It was difficult to do with one hand.
“Hey need to talk to u got somethin”
Eden was not about to carry this thing around all night. He stalked back to the apartment complex where he had been making his haven recently. It was a good hour long walk, and the skull was already digging uncomfortably into her.
She gritted her teeth and continued.
~
In her current, temporary as usual, apartment, she set the skull casually on the kitchen counter. Seeing Peyton hadn’t texted back, he pulled up a stool and stared at this skull.
It looked like a regular skull, not much notable about it. It was fairly white, so couldn’t be that old. Eden reached out and rubbed the top of it, trying to tap into well, something, but there was nothing. No energy, or whatever. At least not to her.
Eden had only turned on one light; the room was dim and shadowy. Closing her eyes for a moment, she gathered the shadows around her - something she usually did to stalk prey in the middle of the night.
Now, looking at her hand, or rather, trying to - it was cloaked in shadow - she lifted the skull once again, unintentionally similar to how her sire did.
He focused in. Were the shadows darker, or just in his imagination?
As she waited for something, anything, her phone vibrated. Eden put the skull down.
Peyton had replied, finally.
“Ok i’m free”
“Cool im at apartment 109 come when ya ready”
Guess she’ll just bullshit it.

Gay people are NEVER HETERONORMATIVE JESUS FUCKING CHRIST STOP SPREADING HOMOPHOBIC BULLSHIT
FEMININE QUEER MEN ARE NOT HETERONORMATIVE FUCK YOU??!
I did not feel that I was spreading homophobic anything, but if you felt that way, I do apologize. However, thanks for opening up this line of conversation, anon.
If we are going to talk about the specific instance when I used the word "heteronormative", let's do this.
I was talking about a FICTIONAL CHARACTER.
I have always, and will always, discuss characters. I try not to discuss how real life people express themselves, their gender, or their sexuality because that is no one's business but their own. Hard stop on that accusation, dear.
Forcing a canonically non-feminine male character to be more feminine when put into a gay relationship with a larger, alpha-male type is unfortunately a common a result of misogynistic heteronormative bias that is present in a great many people even if they don't always realize it. It reminds me a lot like the old homophobic questions I heard a lot growing up: "Who's the man in the relationship? Who's the woman?"
Is that always the case? No, but it's common enough to warrant mentioning and remembering when in fandom discussions. I myself have suffered from similar biasedness in the past, but I have learned from it and worked to move past it. We all have biases we didn't realize we had previously; it's an unfortunate fact of life.
Anyway...
Specifically, what I was talking about in the conversation being referenced: Stiles Stilinski is not feminine. He is a hot mess express. He is an adorable, lean, almost 6 ft tall asshole who cares only for those he deems worthy of caring for. Yes, he's a bit of a control freak, who tends to take on the parental role with everyone he cares for, but that's due to TRAUMA. None of that equals feminine.
A great many people seem to make him smaller, daintier, and more feminine because it makes a good contrast with Derek who just looks like the stereotypical large, muscular Alpha-male (and was a literal Alpha for a bit there). Physically, they are almost the same height. In later seasons, Stiles is even noticeably thicker than he was in earlier in the series (and honestly isn't that far off from Derek tbh).
All of that being said:
Does this mean I hate reading fics or looking at art with this being the case? No, I fucking love them.
Do I send the creators hate because they interpret the Sterek relationship a different way than I do? Hell no.
However, I am on tumblr to have fandom discussions, and ultimately this is how I feel about what I've noticed in joining the fandom so late.

I think something wild about being an afab going on T at almost 30 and also being someone who’s lived an overall queer experience under a somewhat tedious labeling process is that I have MET toxic masculine trans men. For the record, I very much appear as a cis woman to people, and most people I meet just kinda sum me up as “some sorta lesbian.”
TW from some harsher personal experiences.
Back in my early 20’s, one of my FTM franchise managers sexually harassed me at a company party very inappropriately. Within the same time frame, one of my now ex-friends and on-site manager was dating a trans men who fit ALL the stereotypes of toxic masculinity: disregard for others, pavement princess giant truck, constantly talking over others or using his strength as a source of intimidation (and I would say a source of overcompensation as well lets be real here lol). At a certain point he made this ex-friend cry so much, I had to ban him from my house and tell him I’d try to get a restraining order if he came back.
So it does really annoy me that there seems to be an ignorant group of people who form online when trans women speak about transmisogyny within the community. Because there are trans men out there who act like complete douchebags and assholes to validate themselves in their identity or they’re just plainly assholes, and this is something I would see a lot at gay clubs as opposed to tight knit groups or niche online circles. Trans women and others are trying to tell ya’ll that this is a problem that happens and some of you are childishly sticking your fingers in your ears and going “LALALA TRANSANDROPHOBIA SHHHHHH” and it’s like… Ya’ll, you don’t have to turn a blind eye to this shit because quite frankly it’s embarrassing and very misinformed.
I will say however that as someone who is thinking about transition now, I can empathize with the knee-jerk reaction as well. It’s really scary to have people tell you the negative things you could become or ways you could hurt people. It can actually in my experience be a whole driving force in continuing to remain dysphoric through your life because it’s better to do that than feel like you may end up being completely alienated from everyone, especially if all women are a very important part to you in your life.
The whole “T is poison” thing runs deep. I always had this fear that the moment I’d start it would be the moment I would become the very thing I’m made to be afraid of even if it’s what I want to be. It’s such a difficult ball of yarn to unravel. What if I did get male privilege, but even in my gender euphoria, I end up hating myself anyway? What if I don’t get male privilege or “pass” but people in the “community” (such a loose and confusing word imo) also hate me and then I have no one? If straight women treat me bad after or before “passing”, if lesbian women see me in ways I don’t want to be seen, if cis straight men think I’m a freak and gay men think I’m an intruder… Where does that place me in the world? And who really am I? Will people believe me less or more when I’m hurt by others?
I think it’s atleast something for people to consider because as someone who’s dealing with really bad dysphoria right now, these are the kinds of thoughts that have been running through my head.
It’s also good to remember that online is online and real life is real life. Yes sometimes they reflect each other, but oftentimes, people lie on the internet (GASP!) and speak in exaggerations.
This is why it’s always good to try and strive for local connects to maintain your own sanity. At the end of the day, I know my own friends who still see me as the same person. And getting to know my own family of queer people of all kinds who I love dearly and they love me back does make the world feel like a more understanding place and less like a cruel and divisive one. I guess it’s just something to keep in mind.

Let's do this: top 10 most hated NFCV characters counting both shows
As a bonus, if you're willing to: top 10 worst episodes
I think I did a top 5 worst characters for both shows but I can do it again :P
11) Drolta. She doesn't do anything egregious, in fact she's kind of tolerable, but she stole Isaac's drip. And for that, I will forever be salty :) (also yeah I couldn't decide for #10 so I added one, whatcha gonna do about it)
10) Sumi and Taka. Ah yes, these two Japanese people who look identical are most assuredly not related, they are just Japanese! Aside from that, they are the emblem of S3's utter failure: they add nothing of importance except for a gratuituous (and OOC) rape scene that is supposed to send the message "humans suck, trusting is for fools"... that in on itself doesn't change a thing, because Alucard is fine afterwards. But hey, you got your bi rep! Aren't you happy with this show's representation? :)
9) Emmanuel. This guy is just stupid. Just because you lampshade how absurd it is to ally yourself with vampires because you think the Revolution is "godless", it doesn't make it any less absurd. We're still at this level of shallow, childish CHURCH BAD.
8) Sypha. You're not cute when you insult Trevor. Stop it. I remembered her being nicer than she actually was :( during the rewatch she was painful, constantly complaining, defending Alucard from Trevor rather than the other way around (but still ditching him when he needed company because yay adventures!!!), and acting bossily with her bf because that's the only kind of character they can write here. Also she's OP af and that's not fun.
7) Maria. Does she even have a personality beyond stereotypical Twitter communist teen? Good god girl shut up you are nothing more than useless backdrop!
6) Carmilla. In theory, she could be an interesting unapologetic female villain who reacted to her trauma with rage rather than sorrow, a female Dracula but even pettier. In practice, she is the parody of a radfem written by a man with zero respect for women, so you can imagine that she isn't exactly nuanced. I hate that Dracula and his boytoys were made to be absolute dumbasses for her to win, only for her to conclude effectively nothing. villain.exe
5) Alucard. You absolute cunt. Am I supposed to like, or worse being attracted to, this piece of shit who spends his time insulting Trevor and treating him like dog shit under his shoe? He has zero of the effortless charm of the real Alucard, but I'm supposed to root for him because he's hot when he cries all boobily. Fuck off with your disingenous fanservice. (also his design is atrocious and the artstyle doesn't flatter him at all)
4) Erzsébet. Literally an OC made by a 5 yo. Look at her! She's so cool and special! She's older than Dracula, stronger than Dracula, more evil than Dracula, more dangerous than Dracula, and she turns into an invincible Sun Thundercat! Yeah good job, but you forgot to give her a personality.
3) Annette. She is not a character. She is nothing more than accurately engineered discourse bait. I refuse to acknowledge this shallow attempt at "badass representation" that I am supposed to like on the sole basis of her race and gender. I am so tired of Stronk Women that are actually giant assholes, all flash and no substance.
2) Isaac. I will concede that he has the most coherent character arc of all characters, but aside from that, he pisses me off something fierce for how overrated he is. Forgettable design, pretentious as fuck, spouting faux-philosophical quotes to hide how petty he is, basically a jihadist in S3, wakes up one day in S4 and suddenly he's Muslim Jesus, disgustingly OP because the narrative finds every way to suck his shiny dick... and his amazing arc that everyone praises him for, the thing that makes him "better than that stupid gay joker from CoD"? It's just a worse version of Hector's from the mangas, which left him Hector here with no arc to speak of. Get him out of my sight.
1) Lenore. Her concept is great. She is an intriguing foil to both Carmilla and Hector, and incarnates an unique type of villainy: she is amoral, kind for her own selfish purposes, with understandable goals but willing to do anything to achieve them. I want to like her. Too bad she is a disgusting, repulsive, inconsistent, bratty rapist that I am supposed to feel sorry for because oh, she's not so bad after all :) she did everything for Hector's own good :) she's not actually evil :) she deserved to smooch the man she raped into slavery, don't you feel bad that she sunned herself like a selfish coward :) Lenore begs to be rewritten by someone who doesn't jerk off to abusive dommy mommies, but in her canon state, she makes me ill.
Now for the episodes :P
10) The Great Work (S4E7): I never watched it because it's boring as shit, which speaks of the terrible pacing of this show and especially S4. I know it has the infamous "vampires dislike crosses because their vision is fucked up" scene lmao
9) The River (S2E6): It's the episode where the zombie bishop resurrected by a dark necromancer who is now working for a vampire with plans of enslaving mankind is apparently favored by God to the point of being able to bless water. Do I need to say more? Well, it's also the episode where the heroes suddenly remember they are supposed to do shit and hack into Dracula's castle, and the episode that fully cements Dracula as an ineffectual pathetic antagonist easily manipulable by the real villain, no I don't care that he's kinda cool in For Love. (at least the scene with Carmilla avoiding the river and the castle is fun to watch)
8) Bless Your Dead Little Hearts (S3E1): The beginning of Alucard's and Trepha's plotlines, two utter mindnumbing wastes of time, and Hector's plotline, which is the show beating me over the head with a nail bat while screeching "LOOK HOW PATHETIC HECTOR IS! LOOK AT THIS PITIFUL WET CAT! LOOK AT HIM COWERING NAKED IN A CELL EATING MOLDY BREAD! FEEL SORRY FOR HIM!". Just unpleasant for all sorts of reasons.
7) It's Been A Strange Ride (S4E10): Trevor miraculously survives Death! Alucard is happy to live with his new bossy gf as if nothing ever happened! Lenore suns herself just for a final kick in the balls to Hector, whose character will forever be remembered as "useless simp"! And most importantly, Dracula and Lisa get to live again as if the dude didn't just try to exterminate mankind, and they will have endless kinky sex until she dies while Alucard will forever mourn his parents but no one gives a shit about that because we love to piss on the games! :D
6) Old Homes (S2E2): It has the double combo "Alucard being the biggest moistest cunt to Trevor while we're supposed to laugh at this hilarious banter" and "Carmilla girlbossily girlbosses all over Dracula who can't even punish this vampire who insults his wife in front of everyone, establishing herself as the cooler villain"! Joy!
5) The Good Dream (S3E6): "Walkies! :D"
4) Back In The World (S4E5): It's the one with the infamous "Oh, shush, you were having fun" :) and all the Lenore apologism that follows :)
3) You Don't Deserve My Blood (S4E6): I get it. Isaac is Jesus and I should drop to my knees to suck his entire dick. Good thing this is his last appearance. Other than that, this episode is the last nail in the coffin for what was left of Hector's character, who is revealed to have been working to resurrect Dracula (a complete spit in the face to everything he stood for in S2) and also chooses to stay with his rapist instead of seeking true freedom.
2/1) The Harvest (S3E9)/Abandon All Hope (S3E10): It's hard to separate the two, and I wouldn't know which one is worse. The Harvest is infamous for being half boring fight scenes, and half "hot" sex scenes that are actually rape by deception: the entire episode is simply uncomfortable to sit through, not helped by the shoddy editing. Abandon All Hope is the season finally dropping its final message: "the world sucks, and you will be betrayed". Everyone except babyboy Isaac is left traumatized and cynical because we are so fucking edgy, we are just like Berserk fr fr. And, of course, in retrospect, Alucard and Hector's endings piss me off even more as all of their pain was for fucking nothing :)
(Nocturne is completely forgettable and doesn't reach the peaks of NFCV so it deserves its own ranking)

The Gallavich Disney Saga
Not done, but here are some Disney World bits from part 3 of my fic Soft Bitch. Thank you to all my lovelies who helped with the ideas. Almost every bit was used, or will be used. :)
Some notes: Franny goes by Finn. Idk what the fuck happened to Lip and Tami's other kid. Carl is chaos.
--
It takes a quick minute, but with Finn’s hair tied back into the usual ponytail, she beams, putting on a matching Hawaiian shirt, just like Mickey’s.
Ian comes out of the shower, q-tip in his ear. “God, there’s two of them.” He’s joking, but it still makes him laugh. Finn had insisted on wearing a matching one with Mickey, and Ian swears if she were to ever dye her hair black, she’d be a mini-Mick. Not so much in looks, but in personality.
“We’re here to wreck things up,” Finn says, grinning. She knows not to swear around the twins, especially with Ally being pretty repetitive. Around Ian and Mickey, she’s allowed, but not as much as they do.
--
Carl comes back from the bathrooms, staring straight at Finn and Mickey. “Shit,” he says, turning to Ian. “Aren’t gays supposed to be good at fashion and shit?”
Lip snorts, hiding his smirk.
“That’s a stereotype, Asshole,” Mickey snips. “Like cops supposedly being smart.”
--
“My waffles,” Finn says, rather dramatically. “You’re freaking them out by being gross.”
--
“Good job, Kid.”  He plops the hat on Ally’s head. He looks down at Monnie and over at Ian. “If I’m getting a hat, so are you.”
“We should get matching ones,” Ian tells Mickey.
Mickey snorts. “That’s the gayest thing I’ve ever heard.”
“C’mon, Mick.”
“None of that girly shit.”
“Okay.”
“I pick ‘em out.”
“Okay,” Ian agrees.
...
“So now I’ve got two of these hats,” Mickey says, scowling. “And a dumbass husband.”
“Look at the festive family!” Tami says, finding Ian and Mickey in the shop. “You’ve got matching ones? I’m trying to get Lip to just get one.”
“So you’re that couple now,” Lip deadpans.
“I like my husband.”
“I think they were always that couple,” Liam adds.
--
“Hey Little Man, you look cool.” He holds his fist out to Ally who just blinks in confusion. “Think I’m going to get Toy Story so I can tell people I got a woody and that there’s a snake in my boot.”
Liam puts that hat back. “That’s one childhood movie that has now been ruined. “
--
“Can we get Uncle Lip a princess hat?” Finn smirks.
“Hell yeah we can.” Tami smirks.
“Uncle Lip’s my favorite princess,” Finn says, grinning at Mickey.
--
Out of what felt like nowhere, Carl emerges with Liam. Liam shakes his head. “I think driving with Carl is a deathwish.”
“Shit,” Mickeys says, adjusting his hat. “I think Finn’s got a knack for runaway cars.”
Lip gets out of line and shakes his head. “Drive with Fred. Won’t go above what, two miles?”
“Okay,” Ian says. He’s smirking. “C’mon, Lip,” Ian says, dragging his brother’s hand. “We’re going to go on the teacups until we puke.”
“Ian, are you fucking serious?”
“You promised.”
“I—“ Lip then starts laughing. “That fucking promise I made when I was what, seven? Eight?”
“So you do remember.”
--
Ian does not throw up, but Lip almost does. Laughing, Ian gives his brother a light nudge. “Worth it.”
Lip’s eyes soften just a bit. “Okay, yeah. It wasn’t as shit as I thought.” But in reality, seeing his little brother laugh like that was something Lip hadn’t seen in what felt like years. It probably was years, looking back on everything. Back before girls, and boys, and when they were LipandIan. Lip stands up on his toes to kiss his brother’s forehead.
--
“I’m gonna sit with my husband, is that okay?” Ian asks, and Finn sighs.
“If you kiss, you’ll scare away everybody.”
--
“Ten outta ten, would bang Snow White,” Carl says, when they get out the cart.

That's all the previews for now!

OMG, I didn’t know you loved Falsettos!!!
Honestly, I’m still waiting for someone in the GO fandom to make a Nina/Maggie video with «Look, look, look, it’s a lesbian from next door!»
I do!! It holds such a special place in my heart because it was not only the first place only saw positive representation of homosexuals, but also positive representation of lesbians specifically. To see lesbians in a happy and healthy relationship, who have hobbies and interests and aren’t walking stereotypes, and who proudly call themselves lesbians…that meant so much to me as a kid who was still struggling to even use the word “lesbian” for myself because of how tainted it is by lesbophobia and porn.
I’ve been meaning to make a post about how good Falsettos is and try to recruit people to listen to it, so I’m going to use this as an excuse to say that it’s SO GOOD. It’s a concept that could’ve easily been done really poorly, considering the plot is a gay man divorcing his wife to go off with the man he’d been having an affair with (pretty similar concept to OFMD, for those who are fans). It could’ve easily demonised Trina (the ex-wife) and turned her into the evil overbearing ball and chain wife, and it could’ve easily demonised Marvin (her ex-husband) for being gay and leaving his family for a man. It also could’ve easily demonised Whizzer (Marvin’s partner) for being a “home wrecker”.
But instead, everybody is cast in a neutral light. Trina’s struggle with the thing with Marvin is acknowledged and she’s not written as a horrible homophobe for it. But at the same time, it’s acknowledged that she’s having difficulty getting with the times yet is trying her best to come around. I just think she’s a surprisingly well-written female character considering the writer is a man. I mean, just listen to this song. And huge props to Stephanie J. Block for bringing so much emotion to it.
Then Marvin is obviously struggling because he’s a deeply closeted gay man…but that doesn’t ever excuse his misogyny and abusiveness. He’s villainised for both of those, and it’s deserved, but he never gets the homophobic “evil gay man led on a woman for years and then leaves her for a man, gross!” Treatment.
And Whizzer seems to struggle with guilt over being a factor contributing to Marvin and Trina’s divorce (in a song he says “I’m sure his divorce was a tribute to me”), and Trina really does not like him at first…but never once is the audience led to hate him.
This is probably an oversimplification of things, because it’s a 2 hour musical and it’s been a while since I’ve watched it…so it’s hard for me to fully sum up my thoughts. Basically, I just really love how all of the characters are complex. They’re not written in black and white, and they’re allowed to have flaws without being hated for it (Marvin’s abusiveness and misogyny being the deserved exception). And with such a sensitive subject matter, this is such an important thing to have. It’s the same praise I have for OFMD, where Stede’s assholeness is acknowledged, but his “discomfort in a married state” is never demonised. And Mary gets to be a complex human who isn’t just shoved into the role of The Wife.
In short, Falsettos is really really great and the music is amazing. So if anyone managed to read this far, go listen to it!
Or watch it. This totally isn’t a professional recording of the 2017 revival on YouTube.
Anyways. Part of me does want a “lesbians from next door” edit of Nina and Maggie. The other part of me wants the GO fandom to stay far far away from Falsettos, because I know damn well they would not Get It. I remember being in the fandom in middle school and a lot of people would give Whizzer the Fanon Crowley treatment: transing, feminising, sexualising, woobifying, etc. the feminising in particular always bothered me because Whizzer explicitly states that he hates that kind of treatment when Marvin tries to shove him into a housewife-like role. I do not trust the GO fandom to listen to him.

5 Unsolved Webcomic Mysteries
Webcomics and unanswered questions go as well together as webcomics and lesbians, webcomics and furries, webcomics and dragons, webcomics and extreme lack of nuance, you get the idea. Most of the time it's because of bad mystery mongering, other times it's because the creator makes such a baffling choice, you question what is the reason behind it all, a hidden Modus Operandi. We here at GW love to speculate so I compiled some old webcomic mysteries into one article. This both includes mysteries in-universe as well as more meta mysteries.
5. Was Colonel Glass really Marilyn's father?
Tumblr media
Spinnerette doesn't have that many unanswered questions, aside from "What happened to Mecha Maid's ALS?", mainly because that would imply that there is a linear narrative, when at this point it's just Kraw making bunch of oneshots meant to satisfy his ego, his bank account and his penis. There however was a time there was some semblance of continuity, there was a world, there was fucking conflict, and that was Colonel Glass arc. I've told time and time again how this arc was sort of the end of old Spinnerette, and while it wasn't treated as a major mystery, there was one intriguing question that really only came up once during the whole trilogy, Mecha Maid at one point speculates that Colonel Glass was her biological father. This is because Glass has been around since Marilyn was just a baby. Later when the two koreans meet again, Glass shows remorse and agreement when Mecha Maid expresses her hatred of war. This bizarre moment could be a clue that Glass knows that he is in fact Mecha Maid's father but this is just a theory because quite frankly that moment came out of nowhere and was just contradictory for the sake of MYSTERY OOOO BETCHA DIDN'T SEE THIS COMING VIEWERS. Now, Colonel Glass is pretty much persona non grata in the main comic. Of course, there is the White Heron sidecomic, but I doubt that comic will bother to answer this question.
My personal theory is that Colonel Glass isn't Mecha Maid's father because that would be stupid. Mecha Maid doesn't have any special powers of her own, she got her ALS because she got bumped on her head as a baby, and Marilyn's adoptive dad was a tech guru so he probably helped Marilyn to learn how to build her suit of armor. Considering that Kraw has forgotten all about Marilyn's ALS, I don't think he remembers this plot point either.
4. Was Randall supposed to be gay?
Tumblr media
Soulkat is probably the only webcomic writer in this blog whose brainlessness and lack of any talent gives Kraw serious competition. Now with Las Lindas having too many cooks in the kitchen, it's certain that there are a lot of contrasting visions regarding the comic. Characters often debut real quickly and become part of the unlikable cast in a matter of minutes. Randall was like this, he just appeared during the harvest festival and kinda stuck around, only later we got the whole ordeal with him being childhood friend of Mora and the rushed love interest for Taffy. Randall had potential to be one decent character in a cast of assholes, but then he was rushed into a relationship with Taffy and that's it. The reason for this rush was because Soulkat was pissed when people assumed that Randall might be GAY! GASP! EVERYBODY KNOWS LESBIANS ARE MORE HOT I MEAN PROFITABLE I MEAN RELATABLE.
So yeah, if Randall wasn't supposed to be gay, then why was he so, I hate to use this word but everyone uses it nowadays so I have to use it too and I can't think of a better word, gay-coded? I mean he was a good-looking dude who had affinity for shopping, dancing and fishing. Not saying every gay person is into that, but back in those days, "gay-coding" was known as "stereotyping", wait, I should've used that word instead. Either way, Randall was a really well-written character but once again, he was pretty much molded into yet another Mora asskisser with no personality as soon as he and Taffy locked eyes. So, was he meant to be gay but Soulkat's homophobia eventually won out so he was quickly rushed into a relationship because godforbid NOBODY in this comic is allowed to be single???
My personal theory is that, I hate to say it, Randall was always meant to be straight. Randall is not the only character who was decent at first but then got ruined almost immediately as soon as he stepped on that fucking farm. There were many characters who started out as likable, Miles, Rachel, Alejandra and so forth, only to get ruined overtime. The entire reason Randall was rushed into relationship was definitely because of Soulkat being afraid that people thought he was gay. Maybe if he is gay, maybe make him gay, or even bisexual. That being said even if he was gay he definitely would have been ruined anyway. He certainly wasn't gonna be Burke.
3. Did Tiffany change her mind about Chel killing Trasik?
Tumblr media
While far from being a talentless hack, Tiffany has sometimes made some very questionable decisions. And sadly, she did two massive plot twists that permanently damaged Alien Dice within a short timespan. We'll talk about the second one today, the one I consider to be the worst plot twist I've encountered on this blog. It's a real shame too because it ruined probably the best scene in the entire comic. After seeing Trasik get away with her bullshit for too long, Chel grabs a spear and impales Trasik just when she is about to stab Lexx. However, we get our first sign that something isn't right when suddenly she loses her pupils and injects Lexx with lethal poison as her final move before passing away. Then few pages later we learn Trasik was a mimic ALL ALONG until this point, and the real Trasik disappeared at some point before Chel was kidnapped. We will not talk about real Trasik's whereabouts as I feel this comic will provide an unsatisfying answer to that, but instead let's talk about what drove Tiffany to do this plot twist. I've reread this arc, and there is virtually zero foreshadowing unless it's extremely subtle. Literally any hints of Trasik being a mimic only pick up AFTER Chel stabs her. That leads to only one conclusion, Tiffany might have wanted Chel to originally kill Trasik here but changed her mind at the last minute, likely she was afraid that Chel killing someone would make readers hate Chel. I can safely say that anyone with a brain would see that Chel didn't kill a person, she killed a monster.
Yet Tiffany, afraid of a backlash, went ahead and did the "she was a mimic all along" plot twist anyway, giving us another pointless mystery and not even bothering to address the other questions like what happened to the kids Trasik trafficked? How has Trasik not found out about Lexx's family living next to her for all these years? Why didn't Riley tell Lexx and Chel ANYTHING about Trasik being a mimic despite knowing it all along? Whatever, all of those questions are irrelevant, the only question that matters is, did Tiffany come to a last second decision to change the scene?
My personal theory is, abso-fucking-lutely she did. While I can see her wanting to not foreshadow Lexx's mom being alive all along just for the sake of a shock, there is NO reason for this twist to happen without any hints of Trasik's true identity. Writing webcomics is a careful job. It's a real shame that even after she worked so hard to make Trasik so goddamn hateable, she still regretted having Chel kill someone so she pulled that bullshit twist to avoid imaginary backlash. It's not too late to pull a doubletwist that Riley only claimed Trasik was a mimic to not get ADC on Chel's ass for murder or something, but that would only cover half the damage.' ass for murder or something, but that would only cover half the damage.
2. What was the original plan for Siegfried?
Tumblr media
Whether it's Siggy having more fangirls than Deegan or people wanting Luna dead over him, the decision of making Siegfried Derek Chauvin of Dominion will always be one of the biggest Character Assassinations in this blog's history. I've talked about Siegfried's sudden racism buff so many times, let's just talk about something that DIDN'T happen. Let's say that Dominic Deegan's fans don't piss Mookie off, what was originally going to happen to Siegfried during War In Hell arc? Was he still going to be the one that was supposed to die? Were his noble acts in Battle of Barthis genuine instead of motivated by Jayden's pussy? And most importantly, was he going to still be racist against orcs?
My personal theory is, I want to believe Siggy wasn't going to die because it would be unnecessary. I don't think Deegan would've vomited if someone who was a racist piece of shit was going to die. Remember this was the arc when Klo Tark inexplicably returned with his angel brother form? I think him vomiting was about his second death all along, because he and Deegan were really close. Maybe too close.
As for what happens to Siggy, I think he would've had some bias against orcs but it would be established his racism is because of his father, but eventually learns about his father's atrocities, which horrifes him. it's not an instant redemption, and the other orcs don't want to talk to him because of his daddy's lynchings, but he might actually go as far as leave his position as a knight in protest of his position. I believe he was going to play the role of Rembrandt in March Across Maltak. He ends up falling in love with an orc, and completes his redemption arc as he learns how the suffering of orcs is his father's fault, and ends up staying in Maltak as the guardian of the Crone.
While not exactly a perfect redemption arc I still think it's way better than what Mookie did in the actual comic.
1. How was Gene Catlow going to end?
Tumblr media
This will be a mystery that will never get an answer, due to the tragic passing of Albert Temple. We do know that Gene Catlow was likely going to conclude very soon after the current arc, with one last arc. The only major events that would've happened before the end are Mason's stupid redemption, Michelle's birth, Forzoi's punishment of Matt, Gene and Catwhis's son's birth, battle against CGI Cats and possibly everyone answering the call of Friendship Island. But other than that, even when you read 16 years of his comic, Albert continues to be unpredictable. Nobody can just connect the dots and claim this is what Albert would've wanted. For example, I have no idea if Forzoi would've actually redeemed Matt or just punished him, and what would've become of Cydnee. And that's not even getting into the rest of the cast, and if Family Too Stupid to Live was gonna go global. It's a real shame honestly.
My personal theory is, I have none. I can hypothesize but I can never truly figure out how was Albert Temple going to conclude his life project, and just how many more years was it gonna go on. Not to mention Albert was still going to write one-offs focusing on other characters after the end of main comic. Hell, it's possible World of Friends wouldn't have happened at all, but instead was implied to be a thing that would happen eventually. If someone were to take over Albert's site and write the ending themselves, I would be against it and not consider it the official ending. Some questions are better off left unanswered.

I unironically did not hate the first two episodes of the Velma series. I actually like some of the design and was interested enough in the plot for it to not become background noise. The big thing here though is that they fucked up the characters the way that The CW fucked up all the Archie comics characters when making Riverdale, with that in mind, people could latch onto this in the same way they do Big Mouth and Riverdale and that garners it more seasons, or it flops after the first season.
Anyways, here's what I do have gripes with about the show:
Mindy Kaling stop adding your self inserts and stereotypes into shows you make challenge(impossible)
Why are they teenagers? Why are there sexual and nude scenes and talk of teenage character's genetalia? Why couldn't they be in college considering Kaling's other show does take place in a college setting?
Fred is rich and racist on top of being an incompetent child-like late bloomer for some reason. Like yeah he's still a himbo but his character in this show is.......... :/
Norville is a stoner in all Scooby Doo media except this one. They made him black and anti drugs in this one despite his food reviews still attracting the stoners. His dad looks more like Shaggy than he does. Also they made Norville's character an incel.
Daphne is no longer filthy rich and her adoptive parents are two incompetent gay cops. They thankfully didn't make her the dumb rich girl stereotype, but she deals drugs in order to raise enough money to find her biological parents. Her and Velma went on a childhood friends to ex friends to enemies to lovers in the span of two episodes??? I shipped them through watching all the other shows during my childhood but......??????
Velma is needlessly a judgemental and snarky asshole for literally no reason, she also for some reason comes from a broken household, her mom disappeared and her dad is a lawyer who spends more money on the waitress he got pregnant, the waitress cares more about her than he does tbh. Don't understand why they felt the need to add a scene of waitress woman stripping booty naked for pregnancy photos in front of Velma who is a teenager in this series tho...
There's a cop that looks like Don Knotts but doesn't sound like him? Yes the guy is dead but there are always imitators, you can't tell me Andy Griffith was such a successful show that does reruns to this day and no one in the past 60 years who saw him in that or other Scooby Doo media tried to imitate him. Essentially if people were able to find people that sound like Vincent Price or Michael Jackson, you definitely could've had someone at least try to to imitate Don Knotts voice.
The meta jokes are genuinely not funny, neither are the sex jokes are jokes about Fred's genetalia. [I laughed like twice and it was only when Daphne kept getting interrupted in the middle of her sentence by toilet flushes and the long pause when the person came out the bathroom to wash and air dry her hands before joining the rest of Daphne's group and some other time that I can't remember right now.]
The show feels overall like it wanted to be its own thing. I've heard small rumors that Warner made them include the Scooby Doo ip in this bit that is just a rumour. Though if it's true, it's wild that Warner set them up for so much failure and negativity like this.

Tumblr media
summary: misinterpretion featuring a line from the wilds, “i’m not a lesbian, sorry to disappoint. i just like storage.”
warning: lil bit of angst but there's fluff, kissing, confident!reader (whoop!), also bi reader for this plot to work out, so sorry if ur purely homo
word count: 1.7k
on a tuesday night you found yourself sitting in a circle playing a game of truth or dare which was suggested by jackson’s very own dysfunctional couple, jesse and dina.
the chatter and laughter of the game continued around you but you were only focused on the redhead who sat across from you in the circle. though the redhead didn’t seem to notice the set of eyes on her as she was in deep thought.
ellie finally looked up when dina called on her to pick truth or dare. she noticed your eyes on her and her cheeks blush pink and sends you an awkward smile.
“uh dare i guess.” ellie says. there was a mischievous glint in dina’s eyes, “i dare you to kiss [y/n].”
the color from ellie’s face drained, instant panic set in. “what? dina, no.” ellie protests, “don’t make it weird.”
before dina could respond to ellie’s protests, you spoke up, “it’s ok i don’t mind.” you say scooting across the circle, sitting right in front of ellie. you felt your insides bubble in excitement but outwardly you appeared aloof, not wanting anyone to see a crack in your confidence.
“you know we don’t have to, if you don’t want to.” the redhead whispers quietly for only you to hear.
you lean closer to ellie, your lips just a hair away from her ear. this action causes a light blush to creep up on her freckled face.
“we got this, don’t want them to think we pussy out of things, right?” you say and move away with a grin on your face.
ellie gives you a shaky smile, trying to calm herself down at how close her crush was to her. you looked at each other, it felt like everything around you two had vanished and it was just the two of them.
your trance was broken by jesse who yelled at you two to “kiss already! we don’t have all damn night!”
you whipped her head around and flipped him off before quickly turning back around and taking ellie's face in your hands and connecting your lips.
the redhead was caught off guard for a split second but then kissed back, melting into it. the kiss was soft, it was just like what ellie had imagined kissing a pretty girl like you. it felt like they were in a trance again, like a veil closing around them giving them all the time in the world to feel each other.
they pulled away as the hoots and hollers of the teens around them grew obnoxiously. ellie’s cheeks grew embarrassingly red at the attention that was put on her.
ellie tuned out the game as it continued on, she was too in her own head thinking about how she just shared a very hot kiss with the girl she’s been crushing on for over two year.
the redhead only perked back up when she heard your name be called out for a turn.
“truth.” you choose. “soooo [y/n]...” dina trails off cheekily.
“yes, dina?” you challenge with a smirk and takes a sip of the terrible beer in your cup.
“how many girls have you kissed?” the dark haired girl asks.
“one.”
“seriously?!” dina exclaims in disbelief, her eyebrows then furrowed in thought, “does that mean ellie was..?”
“yep, first and only girl i’ve kissed.” you explain, you notice the surprised looks that start to appear on the faces of your peers, “what?” you ask, confused about the change in behavior.
“um, i think we all thought you were gay,” dina says awkwardly.
the dark haired girl then points to your pants, “you wear cargo pants a lot.” she states. you bursts out laughing at the archaic stereotype, “i’m not a lesbian, sorry to disappoint. i just like storage.”
laughter erupts from the room except from one person, ellie. you notice a frown appear on her face. you made brief eye contact with her in which the ginger gave you a curt smile, of course you could tell it was fake, that there was some pain behind those green eyes. but from what, you weren't sure.
to ellie that kiss felt so real, she thought there was genuine passion behind it. she had thought with that kiss and how flirting you’ve always been with her in the past that you would have reciprocated her feelings. but her heart broke has her reassurance was crumbled by a simple phrase, ‘i’m not a lesbian’
feeling overwhelmed with her emotions and not wanting to bring her bad vibe to the rest of the group, ellie felt it best to leave. she quickly said her goodbyes without sparing a glance at you, using the excuse of having patrol in the morning to leave early.
it immediately dawned on you that maybe ellie had misinterpreted what you had said, maybe the redhead got upset because she thought you didn’t like her back or had a chance with her at all.
you quickly got up leaving the group without bothering to respond to the people calling out for you, your only priority was to fix this misunderstanding as fast as possible.
“ellie! wait up!” you called out to the redhead a few yards away from you. ellie whipped her head around, a surprised look on her face.
even with being only slightly illuminated by the moon, you could see the redness and puffiness of ellie’s eyes, the green of them popping out and making it more obvious. your heart immediately sunk at the sight.
“hey are you ok?” you ask softly, your hand reaching up toward her face in concern but ellie moved her head away.
“yeah i’m good. what’s up?” she quickly responded, trying to change the subject. “can i crash at your place tonight? i don’t feel like walking across town this late and this drunk.”
“yeah sure.” ellie says, “how much of that beer did you have anyways?”
“too much, i swear i’m not a lightweight but honest to god i have no idea what seth puts in that beer.” you grin.
a smile cracks on ellie’s face, “no wonder it tasted so awful, it's because seth made it.” she jokes.
“he has his own little asshole recipe.” you joke back, making ellie tilt her head back in laughter. you smile at the fact that you were able to lift the bad spirit from your friend.
you continued to chat and talk shit as you two walked to ellie’s shed. the redhead was glad that even though she’ll never have you as her girlfriend, she could always have you as a best friend.
when you entered the shed you both immediately started getting ready for bed, the long night with your friends had tired you both out immensely. ellie handed you a pair of sweatpants to change into which you did, right in front of her.
ellie remembers the first time you two had a sleepover over two years ago, the redhead got taken by surprise when her crush started stripping in front of her to get in her pajamas with no regard that she was still in the room. she was flustered at seeing the bare skin of the girl she was crushing on.
“what? it's not a big deal, we’re both girls and it's just skin, no need to get weird el.” she remembers you saying to her. eventually ellie just got used to it, taking it as a sign of trust that you would be that vulnerable around her.
ellie changed into her night clothes as well, she watched as you take your bra off without removing your shirt, “you gotta teach me how to do that one day.” the redhead says, it was something you'd always done that had intrigued ellie.
“what, take off my bra?” you tease. ellie’s cheeks blush realizing how her words sounded. “no, i mean like i’ve wanted to know how to do it so i can do it to myself, not you.” she rambles trying to explain herself.
you start to giggle at her response, “what?” ellie says, pouting.
“it's just that you're cute.” ellie feels her heart skip.
you lay down, snuggling into the bed and pat the space next to you, beckoning her over. she lays next to you on her side. neither of you say anything as you stare at each other.
“you want to tell me why you were crying earlier.” you ask, ellie rolls her eyes and shift onto her back, refusing to make eye contact.
“it was nothing.” the redhead mumbles. “ellie i know you, that wasn't nothing, talk to me please.” you plead. ellie chews on her lip nervously, trying to decide whether or not she should confess to you.
“i, uh, shit i don't know how to say this” she starts, turning over to her side to face you, “but i really really like you [y/n], and i have for the past two years and its being eating me up from the inside to see you with other people and not be able to tell you. and i know you just want to be friends because you said that-”
you cut her off by placing your lips on hers. the redhead soon eagerly kissed back, her hands finding their way on your head and your hands to her shoulders. as the kiss progress you both got more desperate to be close, rolling over so that ellie was flat on the bed and you were straddling her waist. ellie’s hands moved to your hips and yours to the sides of her head.
the redhead pulled away from the kiss. “i thought you said you weren’t a lesbian,” she whispers.
“correct.”
“oh” ellie says as her eyebrows furrowed in annoyance and confusion, “then why’d you kiss me?” she questions, a bit pissed off that her friend was leading her on.
“just because i don’t like girls exclusively doesn’t mean i don’t like them at all.” you grin and lean down, giving ellie a peck on the lips. ellie smiles, realizing that she finally had her chance.
“what does that make us then?” she asks shyly. you smile down at her, “girlfriends, only if you want to.”
“are you kidding? that’s the only thing i’ve wanted for years.” she exclaims and sits up, placing you on her lap and kissing you again.
she pulls away slightly, “i could get used to this.”
“me too.” you whisper and pull her into another kiss.

Tumblr media
Hi! I’m here to bring you yet another Danganronpa tier list: the sexuality tier list, which you can find here.
Now I’m going to be honest here: I don’t really have any LGBT headcanons. It’s just not really something I focus on much when it comes to fandoms. Instead I usually just focus on ships, and as a result from that I tend to present a lot of characters as LGBT in fanfictions and posts I’ve made or reblogged. In other words, a massive chunk of my “headcanons” here are a direct result of shipping (as well as information I’ve picked up from the games themselves). That being said, it was interesting to actually think about this for once, so I’m kinda glad I did the tier list. And it gave me an excuse to bring back the rainbow color scheme I usually put in my tier lists for aesthetic reasons.
The original tier list had Straight at the top, but I moved it to the bottom for two reasons. One, this is Tumblr and that’s not what you’re here for. Two, I gave it a neutral color, and having a gray section next to a white section (i.e. the title of the list) like that looked bad to me. I definitely prefer this setup just on aesthetic alone.
Because this is largely based on ships, I feel it needs to be said that representation does not factor into this chart in any way. I know it probably looks bad that the only character in the Lesbian category is one of my least favorite (though NOT hated or even disliked, I should point out) characters in the main series. That has nothing to do with the fact that she’s a lesbian. She’s just a jerk, and usually not in a way that’s at least entertaining enough for me to like her.
Also keep in mind that this is just the main cast of the main series games. If you were to include characters from the DR3 anime, UDG, or the spin-offs, the Gay, Lesbian, and Ace categories would get more rep, certainly. Think Juzo, Yui, Takemichi, that gay guy with the trumpet, etc.
With that said, let’s go through the list:
Gay
Not gonna lie, one of the reasons why Rantaro is here (and not in Ace) is because of ships. Though I do sometimes ship him with girls, canon suggests he’s not interested in dating girls, and most fans seem to headcanon him as either gay or ace because of this, so I respected that. That being said, I also acknowledge he’s a very popular character in mlm ships, and at the time I was putting this together I hadn’t gotten to Taka yet so the Gay tier was still empty, and Byakuya was already sitting in Ace, so all of that swayed me to putting Rantaro here instead of Ace.
Taka was much easier to place here. He strikes me as a closeted gay man who probably doesn’t even realize he is gay. “Hey, let’s all hang out in the bath, guys! Getting naked is essential to form bonds with your fellow man! No need to be ashamed, it’s tradition!"
Lesbian
Again, ships. I only ship Hiyoko with one other character, and as soon as I say that you already know who she is.
Bisexual (Male Preference)
Akane is mostly here to account for any wlw ships I may have of her (e.g. Hina, Sonia maybe). Obviously she has a thing with Nekomaru, so Male Preference.
Chiaki is here for the same reason as Akane. I’ve shipped her with characters like Sonia and Ibuki before, but she really digs Hajime.
Chihiro honestly could have been anywhere in the Bi and Pan sections, but I ultimately went with Male Preference because of ships, specifically the fact that outside of the more... R18 circles of the Interwebs Chihiro tends to be shipped with guys more often than girls. Also doesn’t hurt that my OTP is Naehiro. I mean, have you seen how often Chihiro blushes around Makoto? (There’s more to it than that, as I’ve covered in the past. I’m just trying to add more fuel to the fire.)
Himiko is probably one of the few characters that isn’t here mainly because of ships. I do think she has some attachment towards Tenko, but I also get “I’m uncomfortable around her” vibes from her, and there are moments where she seems to crush on Kokichi (of all people) so that’s why she’s here. Still very much bi, though.
Hina has a crush on Makoto and has a complex around wishing she was more feminine so she can attract boys. So why isn’t she in the Straight section? ...Because Sakura, duh. And Kyoko too. And any other wlw ship you can think of that might work with Hina.
Honestly if it wasn’t for Miu I probably would have considered putting Kokichi in Gay. Again, while shipping plays a big part of my choices here, much like with Rantaro I have no qualms with putting a character in a tier that contradicts any ships I might have with that character, if those ships aren’t something I’m super invested in. This is a very important distinction, because it’s why I let ships sway my hand for so many of these even if I am also okay with going “Just because I ship this doesn’t mean I headcanon it” as I did with Rantaro. And honestly Kokichi’s ship teasing with Himiko does come off as more trollish than a sign that he’s into her, but he really gets into his back-and-forth with Miu, in my personal opinion, and he gets into it far more often with her for that matter. It’s why it’s one of my favorite ships for both of them tbh, and it’s because I like the ship so much that I just can’t ignore it for this sexuality headcanon tier list.
Maki... is here because of ships (e.g. Kaede).
Sakura... is here because of ships (e.g. Hina). ...What, you were expecting me to put a guy in the example? Remember, she has a boyfriend in canon.
Sayaka... is here because of... NOT ships, but DRAT. Yes, really. (”We really got down and dirty, Naegi-kun.”)
Sonia... strikes me as someone who swings both ways. I can’t describe exactly why I feel that way, but yes.
Bisexual (No Preference)
Celeste wants a harem of vampire boys but shipping her with Kyoko is also very popular and honestly i feel like it would fit her character. She’s got a look that says “I could get any ass I want and I know it.”
Ibuki is decked out in blues and pinks, and also I ship her fairly evenly among both boys and girls. She just screams bi icon to me, more so than any other character in the series.
Junko is either bi with no preferences or pan. She is an equal opportunity heart-and-soul-breaker and lust-for-despair machine.
There is no Mukuro in this list, but honestly I would probably put her where I put Junko anyway.
Kaede... is here because of ships (e.g. Miu, Maki)
Honestly I had no idea where to put Kirumi, so I just randomly chose one that I wouldn’t regret later if I ever put more thought into who I shipped her with.
I’m pretty sure Nagito being bisexual has some degree of canon attached to it??? I think??? I’m not entirely sure tbh, but fuck it. I’m doing this for fun anyway, so this doesn’t really matter.
Shuichi, like all Danganronpa protags, is bi as fuck. I also find him to be more shippable with guys than the other two protags, so IMO he has no preference.
Toko might have a thing or two for pretty boys, but... Komaru, I mean, this isn’t exactly shocking, I don’t think. Probably was closeted before she met Komaru. I mean she did focus on Hina’s boobs a lot in DR1, let’s not forget.
Tsumugi, much like Kirumi, is here because I haven’t put much thought into her ships.
Bisexual (Female Preference)
Gundham has a thing with Sonia in canon, but I can see him being bi. So... yeah, ships again.
Hajime, like all Danganronpa protags, is bi as fuck. It’s just that his Chiaki and Mikan game is just too strong.
Hifumi might claim to only like 2D, but his interest in Chihiro both in human form and computer program form (and the fact that this didn’t go away after the gender reveal) places him here.
Kaito strikes me as a closeted bisexual. The kind that could start any given conversation with “I’m not gay, but...”
Kazuichi also strikes me as a closeted bisexual, only his “I’m not gay, but...” is rooted more in dumbass than it is in systematic homophobia.
Korekiyo... is here because of ships (e.g. Rantaro).
Kyoko is bi as fuck, and I can see her having a preference towards girls in particular. She gets shipped with girls a lot (e.g. Celeste, Hina, Yui, and even Junko and Mukuro), and when she is shipped with boys it’s usually just pretty boys (e.g. Makoto, Byakuya, Ryota, Shuichi, and, depending on your interpretation, Chihiro). Also note that aside from Makoto and maybe Byakuya, Kyoko’s girl ships are far more popular than her boy ships. Just something I’ve noticed over the years.
Leon... is here because of ships (e.g. Chihiro).
Mahiru is here because I’m pretty sure she has a thing for Hajime in her FTEs, but obviously she tends to get shipped with girls more often (especially Hiyoko), and I agree.
Makoto, like all Danganronpa protags, is bi as fuck. It’s just that his Kyoko, Hina, Sayaka, and Mukuro game is just too strong.
Mikan may be interested in Hajime somewhat, but her obsession with Junko cannot be ignored, no matter how much some of you may want to.
Mondo is another character that strikes me as a closeted bisexual. He is said to strike out all the time with girls, so I do think he’s attracted to women. And I do get some vibes that he’s attracted to Chihiro pre-reveal. And if circumstances had been different, I imagine he probably still would have been post-reveal. But obviously it’s his bond with Taka that I feel cements his sexuality in, at the very least, an mlm category.
Tenko... is here NOT because of ships, but because I’m pretty sure she’s at least sort of interested in Shuichi because of some canon thing... and also I don’t want to put her in Lesbian just because it feels like I’d be stereotyping the Lesbian category if I do that. If we were to compare her to the character that I did put in Lesbian, Hiyoko doesn’t treat people like shit because they’re men, she’s an equal-opportunity asshole. Still not the best representation for lesbians by a long shot, but at least Hiyoko doesn’t follow the stereotype of a man-hating lesbian. She’s just like that, and that’s okay. But putting Tenko there, especially if she’s shown some degree of interest in a male character at some point in the game, just rubs me the wrong way personally, because it would feel like I’m ignoring canon just to stereotype her. But that’s just a personal hang up of mine. No disrespect intended toward anyone who genuinely feels that Tenko is a lesbian. Maybe you see something there that I don’t, and that’s perfectly fine.
Pansexual
I don’t remember exactly how her FTEs went, so I’m not going to get into that, but Angie just comes off as pan to me, like gender doesn’t fit into the equation at all for her.
Gonta I can see as either pan or ace. I feel like he wouldn’t care about gender, and honestly the only reason I decided to put him in Pan rather than Ace is because of that scene with Miu.
Imposter is not only pan, they are currently OT3ing it up with Ibuki and Ryota as we speak, and that’s a fact.
Keebo... is mostly here because of ships. A lot of ships, actually. Mostly male ships (Kokichi, Shuichi, Kazuichi, and, depending on your interpretation, Chihiro) but there’s also Miu to consider. And the Miu game is SO strong that I put him in Pan instead of, say, Male Preference.
Just gonna lump them together because I have the same thing to say about both of them: Miu and Teruteru would **** anything that walks. What did I censor? Well, I’m doing the Nier: Automata thing, so you can put whatever you want in there and trust me, it would probably fit, for better or for worse.
Ace
I know this is an unpopular opinion, because Naegami, but I just don’t think Byakuya is interested in anyone, at least not in that way. He might be fascinated with how common people live, because it’s so foreign to him, but that’s about it.
Straight
Even though I do ship Fuyuhiko with some of the boys, his Peko game is so strong that honestly I can’t see him actually dating anyone aside from Peko outside of some very niche fanfiction.
Honestly, Hiro was another one that I was just like “I have no idea what to do with you.” I think maybe his team up with Kanon made me eventually choose to put him in Straight? I don’t remember. I clearly didn’t put much thought into Hiro.
I really only ship Nekomaru with Akane, so that’s why he’s here. I’m sure if I dive deep enough into my psyche I can pull an mlm ship with Nekomaru in it out of my ass, but like Rantaro that wouldn’t be significant enough to change anything.
Peko is in the same boat as Fuyuhiko. I have shipped her with girls before, but her Fuyuhiko game is just too strong.
Ryoma had a girlfriend once, and as far as I can remember he didn’t really seem interested in anybody in the game, so that’s all I have to go off of for him.
-----
So there you have it. Explanations for literally all of them! Explanations that were definitely not pulled out of my ass as I was typing them, nope, certainly not. Definitely won’t be tagging all of them, but I may tag the ones with the longest entries. And like all the tier lists I’ve done, this was just for fun and honestly any opinion I have for any of these characters could change at a moment’s notice because my brain is fickle like that. Tried my best to make sure that every tier had at least one character in it, but I did so without trying to force characters in places that I personally did not believe they should go. I hope you all enjoyed my dive into this area of fandom that I rarely dive into (the LGBT headcanons, not the ships, obviously). It was a lot of fun, and hopefully it will stay fun and not result in angry anons blasting me for my opinions. I am grateful that this never seems to happen to me, but I’ve seen it happen to others and I know what Tumblr is capable of at its worst. These are just headcanons and a matter of personal opinion, and if you disagree with them, that’s perfectly okay. Your feelings and opinions are also valid.

Umbrella Academy S02
I binged the show in two days with my family, and here are the problems I have with it:
1: Lila/Diego - That’s a hard NO for me. This relationship is comparable with Leonard/Vanya in S01 because Lila was send to infiltrate the academy, she was send to manipulate Diego because he was ‘the weakest link’. She played with his feelings of insecurity and low self-esteem. He craves companionship and love and she pretended to give him that for her own gain. Then, when her cover was blown, she drugged him, kidnapped him and forced him to join the commission against his will and with no regard for his wishes or his family. She didn’t care about him. If the dynamics were swapped, people would be outraged. She makes fun of Diego and belittles him numerous times. That’s not cute. It’s never cute but we tend to gloss over it when it comes from a woman about a man. She even makes fun of his ‘daddy issues’ which lie in a deep-rooted trauma and is nothing to make fun of. We see Diego devolve into that scared little boy in a matter of seconds when Reginald berates him. Lila is toxic and should’ve written out of the show by the end.
2: Klaus - Where to start? I was hyped when I saw the opening sequence. Then they nerfed the shit out of his powers for absolutely no reason. They gave his power to allow ghosts to possess him to Ben. Klaus is a bumbling fool in Season 02 and had NO impact on the story at all. They downplayed his PTSD and his other issues. They never brought up his fears and that he was never able to control his powers completely ever again. The fact that there is no regard for bodily consent when it comes to Klaus is just awful. It’s played up for laughs.
3: Klaus & Dave - I am glad they remembered that Dave was a thing. The actor was way too young looking though. It made Klaus appear creepy around him - thus solidifying the gay man being a creep around younger boys stereotype. His looks didn’t help much in that regard either, in my opinion.
4. Klaus & Diego - One of the best relationships in Season 01 and completely forgotten about in Season 02. Diego just doesn’t care AT ALL about Klaus. He makes fun of him. When Klaus acts up at the dinner table, he is not concerned at all.
5: Klaus & Ben - Their relationship was just awful this season and there is no proper reasoning for it. Ben has seen Klaus at his lowest, he’s been with him for 13 years at the end of S1. I think he knows Klaus better now and the way he talks to him and treats him is just plain wrong. Not to mention that Ben gives a crap about Klaus’ consent. When Klaus wants him out of his body, he ignores it. He wanted to have sex with a girl while in Klaus’ body. One of the rules Klaus’ set was ‘not to look at his dong’ and that was one of the first things Ben did. I could laugh about that, if it was the only thing that happened that’s just not right.
6: Luther - He was reduced to big guy with funny facial expressions. Although I see the comedic effect on him eating a lot and looking like a lost puppy. And that’s really a minor nitpick anyway because he had great scenes too.
7: Diego - He was reduced to dumb macho caveman.
8: Five - He knows his time travel shit. It was beyond stupid to want to meet Reginald. He should have known that. This was the point where the timeline was destroyed and where the Sparrow Academy was born and Five should have known better.
I could go on and on but I guess you get the gist. Overall I really liked the season even though it dragged on for too long in certain aspects. Those are the things I am really upset about. But enough negativity! Here are the things I DID like:
1: Luther & Diego - I enjoyed them working together and being like ‘fuck numbers we’re Team Zero’
2: Luther & Vanya - He recognized his mistakes of Season 01 and even before that and tried to be understanding, kind, and caring
3: Luther & Klaus - Very minor detail in the last episode but he actually protected Klaus and I like that a lot.
4: Diego & Vanya - Diego is not an asshole to her this season which I like.
5: Vanya & Allison - Do I really need to say more?
6: Allison & Klaus - Their reunion was perfection. Also I loved how she understands his pain and instead of berating him, she lets him experience that pain in a safe environment WITH her.
7: Allison, Vanya & Klaus - That salon scene - even though it had NO value to the plot, it was a nice thing for the most part
8: Klaus & Vanya - Klaus calling Vanya ‘Vanny’ and kissing her hello. Also Klaus being the first in her car and talking to her.
9: Diego - I loved how soft he was this season. Even though for some reason his softness didn’t extend to Klaus whereas he was the only sibling he showed affection for in Season 01.
10: Diego & Ben - Overall I liked that they got to hug - but I don’t like the comments Diego made about Klaus in that scene
11: Five & Five - That was just a blast
12: Hazel - Though short-lived (no pun intended) Hazel was there to help
13: Herb - No furhter explanatio needed. Viva la Resistance
14: Vanya/Sissy - That was cute. I didn’t care much about that plotline but it was very cute and I liked it for the most part
15: Diego & Klaus - Very minor detail but how Diego touched Klaus’ face when they reunited. I wished they hugged properly, though. Also Klaus saying that Diego looked like Antonio Banderas and Diego thanking him and meaning it.

Mendacious (12/31)
AO3
--
EXACERBATE
Kurt’s frozen, sitting on his bed. He’s watching the words appear on his screen, but it’s almost as if his mind can’t fully process what he’s reading. Kurt has no idea how long he’s been staring mindlessly at his screen, but another message arrives.
Blaine Anderson: Please, say something.
Eddie Andrews: I’m not sure I understand.
Eddie Andrews: You want to be flamboyant?
Eddie Andrews: If so, what’s stopping you?
Blaine Anderson: Everything.
Blaine Anderson: What I’m trying to say is that I looked down on Kurt for the wrong reasons.
Blaine Anderson: I thought I hated him, but I actually hate myself or what I’ve become.
Blaine Anderson: And that realisation messed me up big time.
Blaine Anderson: Fuck.
Eddie Andrews: I still don’t understand.
Eddie Andrews: What do you mean with you’ve been in his shoes? Maybe even worse?
Blaine Anderson: I was like that. I was the guy with the girls who saw me as the GBF. I loved fashion. I read all Vogue magazines in my dorm room. And I was happy.
Blaine Anderson: And then a lot of bad stuff happened. One led to the other and everything only seemed to exacerbate the situation.
Blaine Anderson: And for a long time I blamed my gayness for it. I didn’t go back into the closet or anything, but I definitely changed myself when I got to McKinley.
Blaine Anderson: I held myself differently. I dressed differently. I acted differently.
Blaine Anderson: Kurt doesn’t do that. He’s so unapologetically gay and he gets a lot of shit for it.
Blaine Anderson: And I know I sound like an asshole already, and trust me when I tell you that I never believed that he deserved the bullying and homophobia more. No one does.
Blaine Anderson: But I did look down on him, because why would he willingly do this to himself? It’s so easy to not be a walking gay stereotype. After all, I did it.
Blaine Anderson: Yeah, he got bullied and yeah, it was bad and terrible and he didn’t deserve it, but can you blame the jocks for taking a piss?
Blaine Anderson: That’s why I also never talked to him before today. I didn’t want to be associated with him.
Blaine Anderson: Like yeah, I’m gay, but I’m not like that.
Blaine Anderson: Was I naïve for thinking that the bullying would stop if I would just act differently? I mean, it stopped for me, but now I’m giving others free reign to pick on people who are not like me.
Blaine Anderson: I hope I’m making sense. I know what I want to say, but I’m a mess.
Blaine Anderson: Kurt would walk around with his head held high, wearing his “ridiculous” clothes, that are actually very fashionable, and for a while I thought me might’ve looked down on me, since I happened to have it all.
When reading that, Kurt feels the guilt overwhelm him, because Blaine is right. He does look down on Blaine for that reason. And it showed.
But… can you blame Kurt? Blaine points it out himself. It’s understandable that Kurt thought of Blaine that way.
Blaine Anderson: But now I realise he’s probably walking around like he owns the place, because he has to. The place constantly tries to tear him down.
Blaine Anderson: And when that homophobic attack happened to me and I stood there and I realised that I succeeded (as in people treated me differently), I just realised how unfair it is.
Blaine Anderson: I never hated him.
Blaine Anderson: He just has the courage that I don’t have.
Blaine Anderson: He doesn’t have to hide himself.
Blaine Anderson: And I wish I could do that.
Blaine Anderson: Again, sorry for unloading this on you.
Blaine Anderson: I can imagine that you’re disgusted by me.
Blaine Anderson: I just don’t have anyone else to talk to.
Blaine Anderson: You’re my only friend.
That sentence hits like a gut punch.
Eddie Andrews: Can I ask you what happened?
Eddie Andrews: What changed you?
Silence.
Blaine Anderson: …
More silence.
Then, Kurt sees that Blaine’s typing again.
Blaine Anderson: I told you my transfer was a punishment, right?
Eddie Andrews: I remember that.
Blaine Anderson: I think it’s finally time to tell someone why.
