Thriving Through Menopause: A Comprehensive Guide to Navigating This Life Transition
Photo by Mikhail Nilov on Pexels.com Introduction Menopause, often referred to as “the change of life,” is a natural biological process that every woman experiences as she ages. Typically occurring between the ages of 45 and 55, menopause marks the end of a woman’s reproductive years and comes with a range of physical and emotional changes. While it can be a challenging time, it’s also an…

I normally don't do ship posts (besides lilackh aka Aglaya × Artemy, but come on, those don't count! it's practically canon lore) but I can't get Alexander Saburov × Victor Kain out of my fucking head. I want those old men to smooch so badly, and it's driving me crazy.
#♧ships#♧Alexander#♧victor#I'm sure someone told me the ship name before but i forgor#pathologic#♧memes#Alexander Saburov#victor kain#dont even care about sex since they both are around 60 and already hit menopause#I just need them to bicker over which kind of towels to buy for the bathroom#or what kind of pre-chopped veggie platter to bring to thanksgiving dinner at Olgimskay's

Had an interesting discussion at the gym yesterday with questions about menopause and how some women start pre menopause earlier or have more symptoms than other women etc. so that got me wondering if there have been any studies trying to answer certain question we had? Does having children earlier effect when you enter menopause? If youve never been pregnant would that effect your symptoms and when it starts? How does the amount of children you have effect the timing and symptoms of menopause? Would be really interesting and helpful to know if/how pregnancy, or lack of, influences these things.

It's currently 37°F/3°C and I'm sitting here in a spaghetti strap without the heater on because I got too hot and was sweating. Even had the window open for a while. I think my therapist was right about the whole needing to get that checked thing
#zombie thoughts#this isn't even an 'oh you're just getting older you're pre-menopausal' thing no i've always been like this#if i wear long sleeves and a jacket in the winter i WILL break a sweat walking to the bus stop#or sitting in a heated building#it's so funny when everyone else is wearing a sweater and big winter coat and I'm sweating in a spaghetti strap and flannel lol

forget 'uterus havers,' i just saw 'my penis holding coworkers' in the wild and i'm dying
#like the context was extremely full of people trying to be trans-inclusive but overlooking very basic shit#like 'bottom surgery exists and people do in fact get it ever‚ ergo birth genitals ≠ forever genitals necessarily'#also 'the category of people who menstruate once a month ≠ everyone who has a uterus'#or even 'everyone pre-menopause' thanks to a little thing called hormonal birth control and also the fact that cycle lengths vary#anyway getting mad abt oligomenorrheal erasure is probably not actually the hill i want 2 die on#really i just want us all 2 contemplate whether the image is 'cupping their penises for comfort like some ppl apparently cup their breasts'#or whether it's more of a 'work circlejerk' situation#many beautiful options available 2 us here imo

Most to least likely to get an abortion, T9S females version
1. Nikki - especially in her teens, I cannot imagine her as a mom no matter how cool of a concept it is. At best, she’d go for adoption.
2. Gwen - like Nikki, I can’t see her as a teen mom. As an adult, I can only see her having kids with Leia. I am into the idea of Gwikki having kids together for sure, but they’d have to be in their 30s.
3. Sherri - I can see her having one tbh. Especially if the father of her kid was a dick. But then again, she still had Nate and Brian is not a good guy from what we know so…
4. Leia - I just can't see it. She’d support anyone who wants to get it while being hesitant. But I can’t see her actually getting an abortion in any circumstances aside from if her baby was conceived from rape and/or incest. Even if she got pregnant in her teens, I still see her having the baby.
5. Kitty - Unless conceived from rape and/or incest, she would never.
#that 90s show#that '90s show#my meta#nikki velasco#gwen runck#sherri runck#leia forman#kitty forman#obviously this would apply to kitty pre menopause

" my doctor says it's normal and not to worry because it doesn't hurt the baby " - really says everything about this.
the thing is like. i get that it's scary and makes people who do desire to get pregnant uncomfortable when we talk about the brutality and violence of pregnancy and the damage that pregnancy can do to your body
but you deserve to give informed consent to that process.
the lies around pregnancy - that it's inherently safe, that it doesn't do you permanent damage, that it's only extremely rare for people to die of pregnancy complications, etc like
all of these are lies constructed so that more people will get pregnant w/o knowing all that
there needs to be more talk about the impact of miscarriages and how common they are, how different abortion processes are and how accessible they are
but also like. talking about how pregnancy fucks your body up should not be taboo
this is a process that permanently changes most people's bodies, and that's even if the pregnancy doesn't do them like. severe illness or injury
and i just think everybody should have a right to KNOW that
bc to live in a society that intentionally obscures and hides facts about a completely optional and dangerous process does so for a reason, and that reason is based in a very sinister ideology that does not value bodily autonomy or informed consent
#misogyny#because it kinda is#tbh ALL women's health is woefully underdocumented/researched#THIS IS A PSA - IF YOU ARE A UTERUS HAVER AND ARE TAKING CONTRACEPTIVES AND ADHD MEDS#AND YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR ADHD MEDS ARE NOT WORKING -#IT'S THE PROGESTIN IN THE CONTRACEPTIVES#also why adhd symptoms can get worse at certain points in the cycle - it's the progesterone (none of my doctors to date have known this)#so my mum is a midwife right#and I still learned all my womens health shit from googling with hyperfocus and podcasts - not even highschool gave me the good info#most people don't even know peri-menopause is a thing (pre-menopause. Menopause isn't until everything STOPS completely)#it can last for ages and play havoc with your mood#it can start early too (tbh I wonder if I have it/should get my hormones checked cause hehe haha stress)#also there is 100% a social stigma around not wanting to carry or have children as a ciswoman#anyway also pls look into pelvic floor - ESP if you've had even one child#You lose strength in your pelvic floor and it's a uh ... disaster#you can look up the rest (I'm sorry)#this has been a tag rant#pregnancy

It is Official now.....
I'm going through Premature Menopause.
I've post a ton on my past struggles with my menstrual cycle and my PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder) on this blog, and it has been such a crazy journey. I've finally been able to get lab work that shows my current hormone imbalances, and Praise God that I now have a gynecologist that can offer me a proper treatment option to receive some kind of relief.
Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) is seen as an indicator of early menopause in women. The average age for women going through menopause is 51, and the earliest age is 45. I'll be turning 40 in this coming new year, 2025. So basically, I'm 12 yrs. early. 😞 I was unofficially diagnosed with PMDD in 2013. Been experiencing symptoms of PMDD roughly 5 yrs prior. *sigh* Just thinking about how long I've lived with this condition, completely exhausts me.
These PMDD symptoms can be so drastic and extreme to the point they're even personality altering. This can even explain my major struggles with anxiety and my bipolar. *sigh* Hormones are crazy, powerful stuff!!! 😵💫
It totally makes me crazy! I have seriously questioned my sanity more that once because of it. One best way to describe all this to another person is to name it as an invisible illness, similar to those with mental health diagnoses. Most people living with mental health illnesses appear as normal, capable everyday people. Especially those who're considered "high functioning", like myself. These conditions have and still majorly affect my personal and professional livelihood, but after living with these symptoms for more than a decade already....I've had a ton of practice with trying to best live with it. I can proudly say that it has been my loved ones' support and my christian faith that have propelled me toward a happily, thriving life. Despite all the trials and challenges I'll face in this life, I'll continue to feel so extremely blessed by God. He's taught me to simply strive through each day as it comes, and to enjoy the journey by His side until the day He calls me home. Which definitely will not be soon cause He's already given me a long and exciting to-list to complete before that day comes. 🥰
