I have finally finished 2.4 and oh my GOD watching Dan Heng be so protective of his friends nearly killed me, MY HEART.

And yes, the cutscene where he pushes the trailblazer out of the way and even cushions their fall with his own body, but I mean even before that! When he was already trying to protect them and March 7th from Feixiao and Lingsha!!

Because if you watch the dango trio throughout the main quest, you'll notice that they often position themselves in the same way, which is a detail that makes me super happy that Hoyo thought to include- when the three of them aren't evenly spaced, March 7th and the trailblazer tend to gravitate towards each other and stand very close together, frequently side-by-side. And by comparison, Dan Heng usually stands slightly away, and often even slightly behind them, where he can pull on their leashes to wrangle them keep an eye on them.

This is probably a habit learned through experience, since March 7th said during Belobog she is the "queen of unannounced disappearances" fjdksajfkldjsak

And of course at least a little bit of it is just done for like, aesthetic purposes. It's a video game. Things have to look nice for the player. The trailblazer and Dan Heng are the same height, March 7th is a bit shorter, and Yanqing is even smaller. It makes sense to have the trailblazer and Dan Heng stand on the ends, with March 7th and Yanqing in the middle, it just looks nicer and more balanced that way. But still! Even when they're accommodating for Yanqing in this quest, they still all arrange themselves the same way, almost every time!

But this changes after Dan Heng and Yanqing become suspicious of the visitors from the Yaoqing.

The dango trio still stand around relaxed and in their usual manner when they go to the artisanship delve and meet Skott,

but Dan Heng takes notice of Lingsha when she arrives, and he and Yanqing mentioned her specifically when discussing their worries.

Yanqing worrying so much about Jing Yuan got me right in the heart, he's such a good boy WEH

And when the four of them go out to the alchemy delve to meet Lingsha for tea, the pattern breaks. Suddenly Dan Heng is standing right up front, and even walks in and enters the scene before March 7th and the trailblazer to get to Lingsha before them. He stays a step in front of them the whole time, too.

And then when Dan Heng and the trailblazer have to go be interrogated by Feixiao! The same deal! Dan Heng walks in ahead of them and stays in front of them! Noticeably so! Enough that even Feixiao takes note and voices it!

Dan Heng is so so fiercely protective of his companions, and I love it, I adore hyper vigilance in the wake of trauma like this, I'm so excited to see what else he does in 2.5, I hope we either get to see him get fucked up or the trailblazer gets fucked up in his place, I wanna see them run through the meat grinder!!!

Squishing and Kissing Bat Boys Cheeks

@Batsyforyou gave these (Dick and Damien headcanon ideas, bare-boned) to me and I expanded on them and put in my ideas as well. 

Squishing and Kissing Bruce Wayne’s Cheeks (Plantonic): 

You don’t dare. 

You do NOT.

You chose life, thanks.

I don’t see this happening at ALL. 

Unless of course, he is at his lowest. 

I see this happening when he is in his Bat suit without the cowl sitting slumped in his chair in front of the bat computer. 

He is feeling defeated and you feel like you need to cheer him up. 

But instead of an invigorating talk, you cup his cheeks, squish them, and plant kisses over his face while cooing over him. 

This behavior is so sudden and out of place to him, that it shocks him out of his depressed mood.

You pull away from him. “Better?” Silence. 

You don’t speak of this again. 

Worth it? …Maybe not. 

Squishing and Kissing Damian Al-Ghul Wayne’s Cheeks (Platonic):

Acts like he hates it but secretly likes it. 

As his older sister/friend, you believe that it’s your duty to love on him. 

Your definition of loving on him just happens to include embarrassing cooing, cheek squishing, and kissing. 

Damien would smack your hands away, blushing red saying, “Don’t touch me, peasant.” 

However, this does not deter you, you instead do it more.

Jason and Tim tease him but are secretly Jealous. 

To counteract this behavior, you do to them what you do to Damien. 

Damien then gets to make fun of them in turn. 

Worth it? Kinda, yeah. 

Squishing and Kissing Jason Todd’s Cheeks:

His reaction is… strange. 

He doesn’t know what to do with these feelings and this touch. 

He just freezes up.

He just blinks… then pushes you away roughly. 

He doesn’t mean to hurt your feelings, he just… doesn’t do... that.

But after a while, when you don’t spring it on him, he’ll learn to like it. 

Maybe even smile a bit. 

And after a while of being in a relationship, he’ll respond more energetically. Wide smile, teasing manner, and lifting you up for a tight hug. 

Worth it? …Yes.

Squishing and Kissing Richard John Grayson “Dick” cheeks:

Dick would love the attention. 

Starved for touch that is not simply being beaten up by bad guys.

I could see his girlfriend doing this when Dick comes home to their shared apartment. 

Since he works as a police officer in Bludhaven, I can only imagine the stress he goes through when you add it to vigilante work. 

So being welcomed home by his loving girlfriend makes it all better.

He walks through the door, his girlfriend walks over to him and there you go. 

She gently grabs his cheeks, squishes them gently and plants kisses all over his face. 

This brings a smile to his face. His entire face lights up and practically most of the stress leaves his shoulders. Not all of it, but most. 

In either case, Dick feels loved and cared for. 

Dick leans down to make things easier on her to, his hands either on her hips, or hugging her waist. 

So worth it.

Squishing and Kissing Timothy Drake’s “Tim” Cheeks:

In his tired, sleepless state, you’d just get a sleepy, sloppy smile. 

This boy needs sleep. 

So you’d use this to lure him to bed to sleep. 

Or to take away his 12th coffee cup to give him water instead. 

Or make him sleepy enough to fall asleep. An unexpected side effect the first time you did it. 

It melts your heart to see that sleepy smile, so you keep doing it. 

So what if you turn it into a weapon?

Worth it? Oh yeah.

college au roachghost where ghost is an architecture major and roach is a communications major:

they meet as first years who are randomly placed in the same dorm and end up just liking each other a lot and move into an apartment together after a year and just hang out with each other all the time and play video games etc. as they've spent more time together over the course of a couple of years they've gotten more and more physical with each other. it started out with just little touches here and there but eventually progressed to leaning on each other all the time, sitting pressed right up against each other, lying on the couch cuddling (like lying on top of each other style) to the point people think they're an item but they remain woefully oblivious to/don't particularly care about what people say about them

one night they're just hanging out playing 1v1 katamari damacy and roach is beating ghosts ass at it bc its his favorite game ever and ghost keeps moving closer and closer to him to try and distract him until hes fully sitting in his lap, chest to chest. roach is distracted by the game and doesn't even question why it makes him feel so good to have ghost so close to him like that, too caught up in lovingly teasing the only person he's ever let touch him at all. no one's ever touched him, let alone this much, but he just laughs and half-heartedly tries to look over his shoulder to keep playing, he giggles when ghost does as he leans forward and starts giving him shy kisses on the neck, subconsciously tilting his head to the side to give him more space. he doesn't even think twice about kissing back when ghost makes his way up to his face, kissing over his cheek and finally starts kissing him in earnest; it feels like the most natural thing in the world to have ghost on top of him, hands on his thick waist pulling him closer while ghost pushes him back into the couch cushions, leaning even more of his weight onto roach, getting his hands into roach's hair and sighing softly against him when he feels his best friend hug him tighter, and roach is so happy to be sharing himself and his space with the only person he's ever trusted enough to let get close

For anyone who’s aspec and doesn’t know what term to use for someone they like because “I don’t know if it’s a crush or a squish or something else” then worry not and use my chosen term: POI which stands for Person Of Interest. It’s literally just someone you’re interested in in some way and I generally don’t specify which way I find them interesting because eh sometimes I don’t know and it’s easier to say POI. It also makes them sound like a murder suspect or something if you’re into that lol

Vox is convinced that Luce's whole 'I don't do TV' is because of Al. He's determined to break it, to prove to Alastor and the whole ring that he's better. But, as we know, it's not. So this does not go over well. Vox shows up and Lucifer is polite to him, in his normal friendly but awkward way. Everyone else is shocked that he's getting along so well with a guy his mellowfriend* hates. This is because Al hasn't bothered to tell him about Vox because Vox is just, not important to him. but eventually, Lucifer gets tired of playing nice and snaps. Like, what is your deal? I just don't watch TV, it's not a personal attack.

Vox snaps that it is very much so because of Alastor. Lucifer just stares at him and is like '??? What does he have anything to do with this?' Husk, who's at the bar watching this whole thing, tiredly explains what's up to the king.

Who immediately turns and walks up the stairs; yelling for Alastor to get down here and explain why he didn't explain he had a rival. Vox is left standing there, mouth open as he realizes that Alastor hadn't even told Lucifer about him.

that's not weird at all! a lot of people experience platonic attraction. here are some words that might fit with your experiences:

squish- the platonic version of a crush; feeling strong platonic attraction towards someone, without any romantic or sexual feelings involved.

queer-platonic relationships- queer platonic relationships are committed relationships that aren't romantic. They may differ from usual friendships by having more explicit commitment, similar to a conventional romantic relationship.

I think not realizing that I was aromantic until I was like 19 is kinda mental in retrospect.

Not just because of the way I used to 'assign' crushes to myself. Or would genuinely become heartbroken when very specific best friends (who I now realize were squishes) would date someone and that person would become a priority over me.

Or when I would start mourning when one of said very specific people (the squishes) would confess romantic feelings for me.

But, if for no other reason, because I have literally always treated friendship rings/ necklaces/ bracelets with a level of reverence mirrored primarily in allo's comitment to their weddings/ engagement rings.

I wear those things until they break and then become genuinely completely devastated when they do.

One of my arospec experiences is getting my first squish. I met someone in school and istg I cant think about them without smiling, they're such a nice person. They're also gay, I told them I'm aro and they were so cool about it. We even told each other that we love each other! I hope that we become even closer :3
