So this is the “pilot episode” for a comic I’d like to keep adding onto just for fun, the basic premise is that it’s a post canon fix it comic about Dean discovering who he is outside of his macho persona while also repairing his relationships and building new ones.

It is a Destiel fic but it’s gonna be a slow burn because Dean has decided he can’t talk about his feelings until all his emotional issues are resolved (spoilers that’s not how things like that work).

I also plan on peppering in some lore explaining how Cas got out of the empty, how they ended up with a house, and who is currently God in universe. I’m not sure when I’ll get to work on another installment but hopefully it won’t be long because this has been an AU rolling around in my head since 2020

fellow writers, a question for you. what are we doing when our imagination starts outpacing our skill a lot. I know that taste is always running ahead of ability, but I feel like I spent 2022/2023 making massive improvements in my writing and for the past few months it feels like I'm a kid with crayons trying to paint the sistine chapel. I've been reading craft books and doing exercises and all that I just feel stuck!

Valentine’s Day Shenanigans (late)

A/N: Mandatory dose of whatever these two idiots have. Bill does weird stuff and Ford just goes along with it as long as it’s not too illegal or inappropriate. I originally planned to post this on Valentine’s Day but got caught up. *Also I made yet another Bill design, as you can see in the bottom left corner. This one is a mix of everything I saw online so far, so I won’t be using it as much as the human design I had since October.

This is very specific, but I wanted to point this out anyway. Project 2025 wants to get rid of A & P mechanics. That’s airframe and power plant mechanics. That’s all that means and project 2025 explicitly wants to get rid of them. They are the reason it’s safe to get on an airplane. Project 2025 also does not provide an alternative to who they think should be repairing airplanes and doing annual and 100 hour inspections on them.

As a pilot I can also tell you all the aviation weather data we use to determine if a route is safe, is from the National Weather Service. Which Project 2025 would like to eliminate. A Trump presidency quite possibly means safe air travel in America would be a thing of the past.

R.I.P. Maj General Joe Henry Engle (1932-2024) On July 10, 2024 USAF test pilot & NASA astronaut Maj Gen Joe H. Engle passed away aged 91. Engle earned his pilot wings in 1958 and it was Charles "Chuck" Yeager who recommended Engle for the USAF Test Pilot School and the Aerospace Research Pilot School. Joe Engle was part of the hypersonic X-15 flight research program (16 flights) and flew the rocket aircraft three times above 80 Km earning him USAF astronaut wings. Selected a NASA astronaut in 1966 (group 5), Engle was support member for Apollo 10, backup member for the Apollo 14 and was planned as LMP for Apollo 17 but replaced by geologist Harrison Schmitt. Engle flew on space shuttle orbiters "Columbia (STS-2) and "Discovery (51-L) the first to wear the NASA-issued Omega Speedmaster Alaska III chronogaphs in space. Holder of numerous awards & honors, Joe Engle logged 15500 hours flight time of which 9000 hours in jet aircraft. (Photos: NASA)
